Last Tuesday I went in with high hopes of getting my Apple Watch repaired. Swollen batter from old age, no big deal they said. They told me they should have it done that night. Awesome!! Called me back about 20 minutes later to say they didn’t have the part, no big deal! I asked when they thought it would be done, they said by Thursday. Great I wouldn’t be in town until next Tuesday anyways. I come in today (Tuesday) to be told they don’t have the part and it won’t be done until later tonight if not tomorrow. Well, I avidly work out and I am about to take a vacation where I will be hiking a lot and wanted to track that. I was also put off by the lack of communication. They didn’t bother to tell me they hadn’t received the parts yet or worked on my watch. They also glued down my screen without asking if that was okay before doing so (even though I was standing in the store) and left adhesive all over it. Also, when I walked in the store this morning to pick up my watch the guy who was at the counter (that I had to deal with for the rest of my encounters with them today) wouldn’t stop staring at my chest! 👍🏻 -100/10

BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS! I’m leaving this review for the main headquarters, just because when you call the store you are dealing with, you get transferred a buttload of times between the Lafayette headquarters and your actual store. With that being said, we took my gfs phone that had a broken screen with some water damage (the lcd screen was shot, but the rest of the phone worked) to get repaired at the Decatur, IL store and was told by the employee that he was the only one who worked there, and that he personally recommended taking it to Best Buy and see what they could do, because he would probably have it for a week and a half. Should have taken his advice…Needless to say, we stupidly let them work on it. Two weeks later, still no call to let us know what was going on, when we called, we were told “they” (headquarters) were still sending the parts, and that they would be there that day, and he would have it finished by the end of the day, called an hour before close, still no parts. Waited ANOTHER full week, still no call on an update. When we called back, we were told the store was closed for renovations but the phone was done. All we had to do is pay the invoice and they could send the phone in the mail. So where is her phone? Decatur or Lafayette? We don’t know, and the manager leaves before the employees so we can never get it paid for, and never talk to anyone to figure anything out. This whole company is a waste of time, and will never receive any business from myself, or anyone in our families again, and I will make sure to tell everyone I know and meet to avoid this place at all costs.

I came the other day to get my PS4 deep clean because my friend got it deep clean there for 40 dollars Nd it worked and when I go get it waited 24 hours got it sounds the same as before dont go to clean console here laziness

Very helpful. Scheduled my appointment online for a discount. Quick turnaround for glass replacement on one of my iPhones. Good prices on cases. Knew what everything would cost once I came back for pickup. Would recommend if you’re debating on going elsewhere.

Had my iPhone repaired there brought it back a few months later because the screen came off .. they won’t not warranty it because a had crack on screen. The screen had lifted up and had nothing to do with crack.. there’s better places in Lafayette don’t go to imechanic

This is my second time going to iMechanic in West Lafayette, and once again I am impressed with the service. Eddy answered my call initially because my 5yr old Mac Air screen was not turning on. After I paid a reasonable price for a screen replacement and labor, iMechanic also updated the software. After that Eddy noticed that the laptop was still not turning on when not plugged in; he offered to do a replacement only for the cost of the battery. Throughout the whole process the communication was outstanding, letting me know exactly when to come back into the store, so the transactions were always quick and I could get right back to using the Mac ASAP. I definitely recommend iMechanic for inexpensive and rapid Apple computer or phone repair!

I can’t say enough about this place! I walked in with my son’s iPhone that wouldn’t charge. I had blown canned air into the port but that didn’t help. The young man who helped me took it in the back and came out in a couple of minutes! He had found some lint deep down in the port, removed it and the phone is working great! He also gave me good information about a new phone for my husband and we will probably buy it here!

Cleaned out my charging port on my iPhone for no cost and refused to take my money. Very respectable and professional. 10/10 recommend

Dropped my iPad off for repair on a Wednesday - broken sceeen. They said it would done by Saturday or Monday at the latest. Go to pick it up on Monday and they hadnt even ordered the screen yet. They said whoever took it when I dropped it off, misdiagnosed it. However, he told me they were ordering the screen and LCD to do the repair. Now they say it will take another 3 to 5 days and want another 100 bucks to do the repair. Wont go back. Terrible customer service.

Years back, my laptop got spilled with milk. It has been functioning but fans being turned on frequently. Took it to Apple and was informed that they need to change the whole mother board (because of the spill)which would be like buying a new computer, price-wise at least. A trusted friend recommended me to iMechanic. The tech person (Tyler) was very friendly and gave me detailed explanation as what he was going to do and what would be the expected outcome, which was very helpful for me to make a decision. After his excellent job, I can still have many years with my computer. I find the tech people here are trust-worthy, very caring with full intent to provide great service to customers. Highly recommend this place.

Easiest place to get anything done! They do almost everything same day! They restored my phone in under 15 minutes. (Forgot my own password). Not to mention the manager, John, even walked me through setting the phone up right there in the store. I walked out of the store in under a half hour with everything exceeding my expectations. 6/5. Best phone repair place I’ve ever been to. They don’t try and make you pay for unnecessary parts or fixes. They even told me that my Apple would fix my iPhone for free. They didn’t even try to get me to do it there. They told me my cheapest option. Definitely makes me feel like they are really about the customer and not just for the money. Definitely recommend!

This is the pace to go when you crack your screen, or need your phone fixed. Its a nice business and is very clean. I visited a few other local places and this was the most professional one. They are so nice and helpful! The prices are not bad at all! They fixed my phone very fast and it looks great!

We had a great experience at your store! My husbands iPhone charging port had been acting up for a while. He could never get it to charge withoutmessing with the cord for countless minutes! We decided to stop in to the store to get an estimate for how much it would cost to get it fixed. A friendly employee took a look at it and told us that he felt like maybe there was dust in the port and wanted to take a quick look. He pulled dust bunnies that weren’t visible to the eye out of the port and it worked perfectly when he plugged a charger into it! We had already taken the phone to AT&T and they said our only real option was to replace it! We were so thankful for his knowledge! We asked how much we owed and he told us that it was free of charge! He saved us a ton of money and an unnecessary phone upgrade! We will forever bring our iPhones to this business! Thanks for great service!!

I recently had wine spilled on my laptop and I was told that they could clean my laptop for a $100 cleaning fee. The tech guy (Tyler) said if they can get it to turn on after cleaning, I’d have to pay the fee and then if I wanted them to fix it, it would go from there. They said if they couldn’t get it in after they cleaned it, I wouldn’t have to pay the fee. Unfortunately after the cleaning my laptop wouldn’t work. So I didn’t have to pay the fee and I couldn’t get my laptop fixed, but they were super friendly and professional. They stayed true to their word and did what they could to help!

I brought in my HTC phone to get the charging port replaced. They replaced it in the time they said the would and it worked great. When they fixed the charging port the speaker used to make calls was damaged. It was under warranty, and they fixed it for no additional charge. I am happy that I get to keep my phone and not have to buy a new one. They do great work, and make sure that they dont stop until everything is fixed. I was told at Best Buy I would have to buy a new phone because it would cost more to fix than to buy a new phone. They were wrong. It was a fraction of the cost of a new phone. If you have an issue with your phone go here first.

I highly recommend iMechanic! I had a cracked front screen and rear glass for a long time, but the phone still worked. Then, I stepped on it and I could no longer see the screen at all. Luckily, I was still able to use Bixby to call iMechanic. I was so lucky to find them. They are the best place to get your phone repaired. Highlights: 1) the cost estimate matched the final cost, 2) the staff were polite and helped educate me, 3) my phone is like brand new now, 4) they dont charge much when compared with competitors.

I took my phone in to have the screen replaced, it looks and works perfect. It’s not even noticeable that the screen was replaced. Great job, and great customer service! I would highly recommend!🙂 Tyler does the best work!

Amazing experience here! I brought my phone to Genius Phone Repair to get the screen fixed and they fixed the cracks but damaged my display and made everything on my phone look green and have lines on it. Brought it here to get it corrected and they did a great job! Definitely recommend.

I was able to take in my phone without a problem and the service was great. The employees were kind and understanding and made sure I understood what was going on.

I didnt realize that they had already closed, but the man I talked to was willing to stay after and help me. He was very helpful - he even explained to me what the problem could be, how they could fix it, and what I would be paying for. Due to my work schedule, I would be arriving after closing again the next day, but he waited at the store for me so he could make sure I got my phone back and so he could explain what they did :) Highly recommend them!

A few weeks ago I took my phone in because the screen was completely shattered. They replaced the screen in less than two hours and now its good as new! A little pricey but worth it. Tyler, the manager was great and cleaned the dust out of my laptop and my phone speaker!

Very unhelpful staff. They quoted me 1.5 hours. My phone worked and it just had a crack in the screen but after taking it in, I was told by Tyler that since it had water damage in it they had to do a water cleaning on it which would take 4-6 hours and they would give me a call when they were finished. After 5 hours I went in and they said they had actually finished and forgotten to call me. They then proceed to tell me that after the water cleaning, my phone did not work and that there was a issue with the connectors and they wanted to charge me $300 to fix it. Not only did I not have a phone anymore, they did not even give me any options. They never told me that after a cleaning, the phone wouldn’t work. They never told me that their could be a possibility of my phone not working after. And if that isn’t enough, when I walked in at 10:30 (they open at 10), they asked me to wait while they finished up something. So I waited for 10 minutes listening to the music coming from their back room that was very vulgar, and then had an awful experience. I would not recommend. Do your research and find a different place.

I came in a few days ago with an issue with my 6 plus, the screen was black but still getting messages. The cute employee Tyler took my phone for less than a minute and he fixed it. Good as new! Since he did it within a few seconds he didnt charge me!! Great service and an amazing experience! Definitely will be back with anything else I have problems with!😀

My screen was smashed to the point of no redemption, and when getting my new phone via insurance- EVERY other Apple or Apple related store was unable to transfer my old information without access to my passcode.As soon as I explained what was wrong, their employees were quick, efficient, helpful, friendly, the list continues. By far the the best repair shop Ive been to, I had 2 broken screens and a speaker in the headset I was told would never work.. With In 2 hours a tech had both phones repaired and even fixed the speaker in the headset. Anyone who has a phone that can be repaired and doesnt use the guys are really missing out!

The staff went above and beyond for me.... I had my battery replaced on my iPhone after my daughter returned the phone to me the screen went out I called immediately and they had me bring my phone back in and not only did they replace the battery again but replaced my screen for free! Too bad there is no option to give zero stars. I had trouble with the apps on my phone so I took it in to get it fixed. When I took it in my camera was working 100% fine, in fact I took a video of my kids right before taking it in. After picking it up my camera was not working. They charged me more money and told me the camera needed replaced, but that the new camera would have a guarantee and if it was to ever stop working hey would replace it for free. I had no option but to say yes and a month later the camera stopped working so I took it back in. They asked for my pin I refused to give it to them and told them we could check the new camera when I come back to pick it up and they said that wouldn’t be a problem. Came back after 3 hours and was told the new camera wouldn’t work either because something was wrong with the phone itself. There was no way for them to know if the new camera was or wasn’t working because they couldn’t turn my phone on without my pin and check it. Came to find it they never even changed the camera. They were extremely RUDE during the whole process too.

Horrible experience. Took my phone in there 4 times after having the screen replaced. I sat there and showed them the issue the screen was having and they tried to blame it on a software issue. I finally had them put my broken screen back on and give me a full refund so that I could take it somewhere else. Got right in at “Company B” and they fixed it right the first time. Do a simple Google search and go elsewhere. These guys were a joke.

I got my iPhone 6 screen fixed a few months ago and the screen went out again due to unknown water damage. I took it in and they were able to replace my screen for me in just one hour. The guy there was very helpful.

What a lifesaver this place is/was! We could not help get photos and contacts transferred from an old phone (not working) to a new phone- the phone store could not help us either. Luckily they referred us to iMechanic! Fabulous and friendly plus they get the job done!

I needed the top case on my Macbook Air replaced. iMechanic did the work within 12 hours with no appointment. The price for the replacement was reasonable, and the customer service was great. They called me, left a voice mail, and emailed me to inform me that my computer was ready to be picked up. Overall, great experience - much better than going to the Apple store.

I had the screen on my iPad air 2 fixed atIMechanic. They did a wonderful job, and I was able to get it back the same day. They were very nice. I found the price to be reasonable. I just found out about their store, wish I had known about it sooner. Could have saved me some money on several other devises that I had to replace screens on. If you have glass to replace you will love this store.

Was prepared to give a negative review.... never was a huge fan of apple products, anyhow their service is amazing and even though I had doubts, they more than exceeded my expectations. I was expecting that they wouldnt be able to fix her phone (My Exs) but they fixed it and made it seem almost brand new and for cheaper than the other places that offered to fix her phone. The people here were friendly and I now actually feel kinda bad for doubting them, would actually think them to be fun to hang out with, very nice people with great service!

This place is a joke! I wouldnt recommend ANYONE to get their phone fixed here! I had my screen fixed and they have purposely broke my phone and I have had to bring it in 8 times to get it fixed and its still not fixed! They refuse to fix it and refuse to refund me my money. Ive called corporate numerous times for the past month and no one has returned my call! Lady keeps saying someone will call me back and nope noone has returned my call to resolve the problem! The guys that work at the Lafayette store laughed in my face and told me to leave! The whole corporation is a joke and a SCAM! They simply wont answer my calls now at the corporation because they have caller ID. Unless you want to be screwed out of hundreds of dollars I highly recommend that you take your phone elsewhere!

The iMechanic team has not only fixed my iphone multiple times (charge port and broken screens) but also my brothers phone (his phone fell off my moms car and was run over multiple times and they were still able to repair it for much cheaper than we thought!) Their staff is friendly and each time they have been able to get the repair done within a few hours. I would HIGHLY recommend them over any of the competitors. Their prices are very very reasonable too!

I took my Samsung Galaxy s4 Active in to get the screen replaced as well as my Mac laptop for battery replacement and they did an excellent job! Got a screen replacement there but a pressure point was left behind

Paid someone else to replace the screen and the phone wouldn’t charge. Also they put the wrong screws in the phone. The guys at iMechanic fixed it for free and everything works good as new.

This is the absolutely the worst experience. I have replaced my broken screen about four months ago and now it’s broken again！I came back for the life warranty replacement and they won’t do it. And every production screen I put down won’t fit! THIS PLACE DOES NOT REPLACE ORIGINAL SCREENS!!!

After damaging my iPhone iMechanic did a great job of moving all of my data and files to my new phone. I was happy to see that my email accounts contacts notes and all other items had been moved over to my new phone. I definitely recommend iMechanic.
