Mary Elizabeth was fabulous! I am an older bride and didn’t want the fuss of “say yes to the dress” hype. I wasn’t looking for your basic white wedding dress. I started off on my own digging around being frustrated. She took me to a consulting table and calmed me down, explained the process and took my measurements. I gave her some ideas of what I wanted but she also studied me and my style and pulled dresses. She found the perfect dress for me. The moment I put it on, everyone agreed that was the dress. Thank you for making this process painless and it was perfect for our special day!

My niece announced her wedding date. My mom ( who would be grandmother of the bride) was thrilled! In her excitement she came immediately to Charisma to shop for her dress. With a background in womens retail clothing, my mom knew exactly what she wanted. Being a petite curvy woman did not dampen her spirit! She actually purchased two formals! Charisma is one of the few salons on the gulf coast that caters to the curvy modern woman.

I have shopped Charisma for at least 6 years! We have bought homecoming and prom dresses from them and have always left beyond satisfied. The staff was always sweet, attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable about their inventory! We tried other places and always ended up back at Charisma! I would recommend Charisma to anyone looking for a formal for any event! They are the best!

The customer service at Charisma is like no other. The staff is so friendly, helpful and attentive. If you have a special occasion to go to Charisma is your place. It is a one stop shop for all things formal. I found my prom dress, shoes and earrings and have never felt more beautiful. I dont believe there is anything you can do now to alter my review but Ill share our experience so that hopefully the feedback can help future customers.From the start, our consultant never asked our bride what her size was and that started the appointment off rocky as she was pulling very small sample dresses that never would have fit our bride. The consultant was very uneducated on what type of dress will work on our brides body and it was blatantly obvious. When we made the consultant aware of this issue and how our bride was beginning to be uncomfortable, no change was made.A good starting point might be to hire a more diverse staff (talking body types here) and train them thoroughly on styles that work for all different shapes and sizes. The next step should be bedside manner and how to make your bride feel comfortable, beautiful and special no matter what you think about the dress she chooses.A final suggestion, the fitting rooms are very open, close together and revealing. Not the best situation when trying on bridal gowns.Shopping for bridal gowns is one of the most important days and can be very emotional. We unfortunately did not have a good experience and I truly hope that isnt the norm for everyone. Maybe we just visited on a bad day? Regardless, this was our experience and it wasnt great.

Charisma has such a large selection of prom dresses and wedding dresses! I bought all my daughters formal gowns from them and also her wedding gown! I even found a beautiful mother of the bride dress there! I can’t say enough good things about their staff and amazing selection! I shopped at charisma for four years! I have bought 3 pageant dresses and 2 prom dresses from them! The experience is AMAZING! I’ve never been to another store with the formal dress selection that they have! And the staff is so helpful! I love the way they try to figure out what you like and actually pull dresses for you! Best selection and best service. I was 4 weeks postpartum and they found a formal dress for me (I had to speak on stage at a huge event). They altered my dress and made me feel like a beauty queen. They were so helpful, so quick, and so friendly. I’ll definitely be shopping here again.

I had my bridal party purchase dresses from them and the service was horrible. We ended up waiting over 4 hours just to try on dresses. It was so horrible to where I didn’t even purchase my wedding dress from them. They ordered my maid of honor dress 2 sizes too big and she ended up have to pay over $100 just to get it altered. They shouldn’t even deal with weddings and should stick with prom/homecoming.

My wedding dress & 9 bridesmaid dresses came from Charisma. Everything from the start was easy and seamless, especially considering the pandemic had just hit. I went in to charisma on 5/24/2021 I was greeted when I walked in, I was directed by Hannah to have a seat and look through wedding books. The moment I walked in I noticed a dress hanging on a rack that caught my eye. HANNAH is the best I wish I could give her 1000 stars, she was patient,friendly,funny, radiant,helpful,encouraged, honest and overall was the best.. This is my first wedding so coming from other bridal places like Davids bridal I had a not so good experience from there like me having to keep hollering for the dress associate to come to my fitting room/come zip up my dress etc.. on the other hand Hannah never left my side Literally At All.. I stayed in charisma for about 4 hours and she assisted in every dress I tried on. I felt so good and comfortable with her I even invited her to come to my wedding and I dont know her at all.. Her vibes are Bomb, charisma have Beautiful beautiful reasonable dresses that are cost friendly and affordable. The service at Charisma is top notch! I was in the market for a wedding dress, the consultant who helped me was Mary Elizabeth, she was wonderful! Mary went above and beyond to get to know me and pick out dresses that were true to my personality. Her knowledge and attention to detail is next level. A true professional. Although I ended up buying a dress from a different store, I was considering picking a dress that wasnt necessarily my favorite just so that I could give the business to Mary and Charisma. Thats how spectacular she was. The experience was unforgettable and I cant express how grateful I am to have experienced such wonderful customer service in this day and age.

I can always find the perfect dress for the occasion AND its affordable, which is important bc I would rather not spend a ton of $$ on something that I may only ever wear a handful of times. I left davids bridal and went to charisma and thought i fell in love with one in the window so i asked paige if we could get a price and size check then helped me find other dresses to try on. She got me a fitting room and picked a beautiful dress within my price range and it fit perfectly. I didnt even get the dress from the window, that i thought i loved. Paige picked the dress out in my comfort zone and made sure it was flattering on my body and i ended up picking my dream dress that she thought would look best on me as well. These people are truely amazing and very very sweet so i definitely think anyone she come here when they are starting to lose hope.

I had an awful experience here. My wedding dress arrived in the wrong color and too late to reorder. They offered me the floor sample which was in terrible condition. The train was ripped and had to be cut off. They then botched the alterations. I had to spend $300 to have another tailor fix their mistakes. During all of this they never responding to my calls, texts, or emails to rectify the problem. Really disappointed with this experience. We were hoping to support a local business and it became the most stressful part of our wedding.

Angela was so beyond helpful! I had a bad experience with buying a bridesmaid dress previously through a different shop that came back with terrible quality. She worked with me on one matching the color and two finding a dress that was my style. The quality of dresses are great and the prices are super reasonable.

I had an appointment with Ms. Mary Elizabeth. She is personable, polite, and she really knows her stuff about all things related to weddings. 10/10 would recommend!!! Also they carry the Marys Bridal line, which has absolutely gorgeous dresses!!!!

I highly recommend, my friend got her beautiful quince dress from here and she told me about it, when i looked it up i saw the reviews so I was a little skeptical about it, but it wasn’t gonna hurt to go and see, and when i went today they were all really welcoming and sweet, they let me try on dresses and they really helped me with so many things that, I think most people wouldn’t, and they did it without hesitation, they really made me fall in love more with a dress and they really knew how to make mefeel like a princess😂 even some customers, they really went out of their way, and to be able to find the one dream dress that is saw online millions of time and saved into my camera roll, and have it fit perfectly was seriously a blessing, and i will for sure be going back ❤️ the girls Emily and Destiny were amazing and so were the others who i wasn’t able to catch their name.

Do NOT go to charisma! We ordered my moms mother of the bride dress in August. I then Called about it’s status at the end of September and no one could tell me where the dress was. One week later and after receiving no return calls or explanation I called Again and they told us they never had the dress in stock and we needed to go look for another dress 37 days before the wedding!! No apology and no real explanation! Awful place!

Horrible service. They told me they had dozens of dresses in my size. I only agreed to the $25.00 shopping charge because I was led to believe I would have a large selection to choose from. They had 4 dresses in my size. Very disappointing and misleading.

Absolutely terrible service. I wish that I would have looked at all of the reviews before I ordered my bridesmaid dresses from them. We ordered them 4-5 months before my wedding and they literally came in a week before my wedding. My wedding is this Saturday and we received the dresses last Friday. They did not expedite the dresses when they should have and they did not express any concern. They do not care about customer service at all. We called them constantly and they never knew where the dresses were or when they would come in. They also denied giving us our money back, even though it was their fault. Unless you want to have anxiety and stress until the week or your wedding, do NOT go with them. I was truly disappointed and shocked at the service that we received. Never using them for anything again!!

I ordered my wedding dress February 2016 and as of today its still not in. The dress was supposed to be in since June then October then November then December (I kno right). They suck about the care of the customer. I find they should be just as aggravated about my dress not being in as me. They have till this Friday or my girls and I are going get our refund.

The lady named Angie really knows her stuff. She was great!!! I will pick y’all for my wedding.

Horrible service! Went in to pick up a dress that had been ordered in January (that didnt come in until end of June) and when asked the name the dress was under, I was mocked. Then when I said my name, I was mocked again! Next, the credit card machine was not working properly and there was extreme cursing, and inappropriate and unprofessional language and behavior by the employees. I was appalled! Meanwhile, there is another customer in the store who was getting married on that coming Friday and the workers were telling her that her dress wouldnt be ready until Saturday!! This establishment is the pits.

Service was horrible. We were given the run around for a month on our dresses that were ordered 3 months in advance. Everytime we called they were rude and unable to give us an answer as to when our dresses would be in. We got them a week b4 the wedding and it was almost impossible to find someone to alter 6 dresses b4 the big day! DO NOT RECOMMEND u use them.

This place is there . . I only picked 1 star because I had to pick something in order to comment.. Mary Elizabeth is very sweet and really nice and helpful. One of the grls (light skinned black chick) was pretty much allowing other customers to talk about me when i went walk out bc i had to order a bigger dress bc of possibly being preg. First off thats not your business and I wasnt talking to u and second off the worker should have stopped her . The owner wasnt nice at all he kept saying sassy comments to my best friend and she was the bride.. and Jackie we felt like she avoided us .. my bf dress was supposed to be in in October of this year and it was almost the middle of Nov and everyone gave us the run around about when it was going to be in. Everytime we called for Jackie she didnt answer she would leave me on hold . Or all of a sudden she left and was going to be back. When I would finally talk to her she would tell me oh Im leaving a message for mori lee and will call u back ..never called back. I went there and she told me she would call me blah ..nope never did . . Another time she told me oh Ill call u back by the end of the day ..guess what? Nope never did.. so finally my friend got her fiance evolved and he had to pretty much threaten to get a refund and bring his fam member who was a lawyer for our refund .. well all of a sudden the dress was n a few days later . . And they wanted me to get alterations there . .pff if I hadnt put down the down payment I wasnt buying shyt from there .. good luck if u chose this place . .. but if u have issues dont say I didnt try to warn ya.
