I didn’t need brakes but tires were completely shot and I had a 400# mile trip 4 days later. Now my daughter and I will be safe on our trip. After 3 separate failed attempts to get my front driver’s side headlight changed. I finally found this auto shop. Although my headlight is proven to be somewhat difficult to change the gentleman at the counter did not rest until he was able to successfully help. He came through and was able to get my light changed in less than 30 minutes which was a total lifesaver since unbeknownst to them, I have a road trip planned on Monday. Their professionalism, fair prices and quick work have gained a new customer in me. Thanks guys!

No one wants to go on vacation and have your car break down, let alone when it’s 109 degrees. This is exactly what happened to me within 45 minutes of arriving in Indian Wells,CA for a getaway. Going to the grocery store for supplies and coming out to discover my car would not turn over was beyond upsetting. How could this be happening?! In the last 3-5 months I got a new battery, oil change, and new spark plugs and coils. Admittedly, having car trouble is a HUGE fear for me, so my recent car care had boosted my confidence… until 3 days ago. I google searched “The best car repair in La Quinta, CA and Mountain View Tire & Auto was on the list and the details in the reviews convinced me to give them a call. Trevor, the service writer I spoke to was so accommodating and reassured me they could help. They were totally booked the next day, but he advised me to give a call the next day to see if I could get the car towed there for an appointment the following day. At least I could get my car from the Sprouts parking lot where I had to leave it overnight due to a AAA mix-up and the heat to somewhere safe until it could be looked at. The next day, One Uber, and a AAA tow later my car made it to Mountain View Tire where they immediately brought my car into a service bay. What a relief! I completed the intake paperwork and then Trevor said they had a cancellation and could at least diagnose the problem. Being out of town and away from my trusted mechanic I was at a disadvantage- even more so being a woman if we’re being completely honest. I called my mechanic back home and he speculated that based on what I told him about the car’s symptoms it sounded like it could be the fuel pump. I shared this with Trevor and he willingly heard me out and said that was a good place to start and they would do their overall diagnosing. Off I Uberred back to where I was staying to await the Dx and hopefully get the car repaired and usable the next day. Well good news: Trevor called to say the Dx indicated it was the fuel pump, there was a new part available and due to another cancellation the car could be fixed by the end of the day!! And the cost to repair it was reasonable based on the research I had done when waiting for the AAA tow guy. When all was said and done I got a vacation day back and a HUGE PIECE OF MIND because Mountain View welcomed me, worked to accommodate my emergency needs, and best of all made my Nissan Murano reliable again. It hasn’t run this well in years. I think I have a very high standard for giving 5 Star reviews. AND I really need to be impressed to write a review of this length AND while I’m still on vacation no less. I would return here no question and would refer friends and family. Oh and, the Nissan dealer was 100 yards away where I know the cost of repairs would be substantially more, and who knows how I would have been treated. Thank you to the Mountain View team that saved my vacation and so much more.

I received the most excellent and professional service here. Losing coolant,and they found that my water pump was leaking, along with a bad thermostat. A tad bit on the expensive side, and it took a while to fix, but well worth it to not be sitting on the side of the freeway waiting for a tow truck. :)A+++ Thank you all for your excellent service to the community!!!

As repairs go this is a pretty good repair shop that’s not to say it’s perfect, the waits are long and they’re not cheap. They generally do what they say they’ll do and if you’re willing to wait your car will be in reasonable good shape.If you make an appointment I found them to be on time. If they have to order a part it can be longer.It’s not exactly friendly and they can be a little abrupt but they do what they say they’re going to do and that’s a bonus. They do try to upsell you so be aware of what you want before you go.

My experience here was terrible. Poor service! I was told by Mr. Webb that the tire needed a small repair, Mr. Webb reassured me that the tire was repairable. It was supposedly repaired and shortly after I had a flat tire.I had warranty on tire, replacement of the tire was needed. I had to tell the manager how to do his job!!! Mr. Webb tossed the problem to Daniels Tires. I do not recommend Mountain Views Tire in La Quinta.

Honest and helpful! Came here with a screw in my tire. They said repair would take 45 minutes, so I wandered over to Panera across the street. 10 minutes later, I got a call saying unfortunately the screw was too far to the side, it probably cant be repaired, and they need to order me a new tire. I agreed to pay for a new one and started walking back... only to find out when I arrived that they decided they might as well try, and it turns out the screw wasnt in far enough to puncture so I dont need a new tire after all (and the repair was free because the bigger labor wasnt needed due to the minor puncture!)Really appreciate them not just taking my money even though we had already agreed to pony up for a new tire (and the tire is doing great.) Would definitely recommend!

I would highly recommend the La Quinta location. I called and spoke with Adam 10 minutes before closing time just after limping my car thru rush hour traffic to a gas station. He helped me problem solve the tow and the key drop and then got right back to me first thing in the morning with a clear communication about the problem and the cost. I had a sudden flat tire beyond repair and limped in on my mini spare an hour before closing time. Replaced the two front tires with new and ordered overnight delivery of two more for rear. returned the next morning for mounting of those two. Couldnt ask for better service.

These guys are the best. They are on time, straightforward and do NOT rip you off. I have had three different cars to them over the past 6 months and while I am willing to pay to get the fixed, they explain the problem, call back when they say they will and no not try for the quick buck. One time they didnt even charge me to have a car diagnosed just simply walked outside and reset my computer.It is refreshing to get customer service these days most especially from a garage the provides all types of service.It all comes around! I have recently called I 10 Volkswagen twice for a service appt. for my daughters car I bought two months ago and never even got a call back after leaving messages.They can take a lesson from these guys.John

Took my minivan to them on a Sunday after I accidentally hit a rock along the shoulder of the Indian Canyon road. Very professional staff. They examined the vehicle and showed me the problem. They fixed my vehicle in couple of hours and gave me a detailed explanation of post fix alignment tests. Mountain View Tire and Auto Services saved our vacation!

I am more than satisfied with the service they provided. On my way to school I got a flat tire. To make matters worse, my spare tire was out of air. I mention to Daniel, a great guy btw, that I had an important class I had to go to. He kindly offer to drop me off at school and have my car picked up and repaired as I attended said class. I do recommend buying tires from Goodyear, I did buy tires for my Dodge Durango. They try hard to get you in and out as fast as possible. They work under pressure well when it is hot but they did a great job for me and my safety. Ask for Adam in La Quinta,

I was able to make an appointment in short order and multiple service items completed in time as promised while I walked next door for lunch. Very friendly staff that explained all of my service options.

They may do a good job at changing oil but their customer service is terrible, at least if you’re female. I first had to wait while the only man at the desk made two phone calls. Then another man came into the counter and a second man came out and waited on him first. Then the original man got off the phone went through several papers, walked over to a computer, looked at it; then turned to another paper and glanced at it until finally asking me if he could help me. If it hadn’t been that our family had recommended this place, I’d have left.

My blower motor for my AC/Heater stopped working. They replaced it for me. The next day it was making a noise. I brought it back and we rescheduled to take a look at it. They pulled it out, checked it out and put it back. It worked fine. The next day it was making the noise again. They ordered a new blower motor. I rescheduled and they replaced it with a new one. No noise and it works great. They were very helpful and sincere and I will be going back next time I need service. I would recommend them to my friends, they have earned me trust.

Mountain View Tire in La Quinta has been taking care of my autos for three years. When I first arrived with a used but new vehicle to me, they noticed several areas that would need repair. I knew of these areas because Toyota had already advised me of the problems. In fact, there were a couple of things Toyota included which were not necessary now or in the near future. They came up with a game plan for repairs - what needed to be done right away and what could wait so I could budget out for repairs. They are thorough, and so very honest. Their workmanship is outstanding and most of all, their friendly attitude, respect and genuine care surpasses any I have ever had. When I leave Mountain View Tire in La Quinta, I have a peace of mind knowing we have done everything possible to see that I reach my destination without incident.

Adam is the real deal. I was visiting La Quinta from out of town and my car began over heating. Recognizing the urgency of my situation and my need to get home, he quickly and efficiently diagnosed the problem with attentive care. Im certain he put off more profitable car repairs to resolve my situation. Since I didnt have the time or resources to stay the night in La Quinta for the full repair, he coached me on how to get home without the car overheating. He knew becasue he had thoroughly tested it himself throughout the afternoon. I left with the peace of mind I could get home without being stranded. To top it all off, Adam called me the next morning to see how my drive went and how my car performed. This demonstrates genuine concern, awesome service, and accountability. I highly recommend this shop.

Dropped Off Car at 9 A M was told i would get a call as to repairs needed, 9 hours went by and no call so i called them, Manager ADAM WEBB answered and when i asked why i did not get a call on the car he said let me check, Then he had another worker get on the phone to tell me they did not have time to look at the car, Yet no call to me ti let me know i had to call them, Very poor service and ZERO communication dont know how they will stay in business, DO NOT USE THIS PLACE !! Horrible, I will now contact their Corporate office to let them know of the LACK OF CONCERN and ZERO SERVICE after waiting all day expecting to pick up a finished car .

In April 2015 I hit a curb and blew out both side walls out of both left tires.... I limped my way over to the Walmart Tire & Lube Express only to find it undermanned and no one seemed to be moving with any sense of urgency as four customers waited in their waiting room.... Mountain View tire is between Wendys and the 111 in front of the Walmart Plaza and answered the phone had tires in stock I needed and has been able to turn me around very rapidly.As a business owner with time constraints today it was very valuable to get the customer service I did from a place understood my situation.

I limped in at 4:30 on a Saturday with a runflat tire that I had to keep putting air in coming to the desert from lake Arrowhead.
