Ordered windows in December, installed all but 1 in May. The 1 was measured or built incorrectly. I was told they could expedite and it would still be 6 weeks. Ended up being another 3 months. Blame the pandemic but my issue is with the lack of communication. Not once did they contact me or seem concerned at all. I did not feel like a valued customer.
We ordered the windows at the start of the pandemic which played a role in their delay, but their poor workmanship, customer service and attitude of the owner, Claudia, is really what stands out about this experience. They didnt complete the paperwork which confused us and apparently their installer too, poor communication, and multiple mistakes made with measuring/ordering the windows that lead to a 14-month delay in job completion. I would never use this company again. The owner was insulting and emotionally volatile. She was unapologetic for any of their mistakes. They hide behind the contract since it provides no timeline for completion of work and allows them to damage your property without liability or even apology. The details are outlined below.We put in the order with Window World of Knoxville (WWK) on June 2, 2020. From the beginning WWK communicated that their manufacturer was running 3-4 months behind. We accepted this estimate of time with understanding and without concern.There were issues with receiving then scheduling the installation due to multiple factors throughout. The installer sent in November 2020 was only able to install one window and a sliding door, complained that the other windows werent measured correctly, and damaged the alarm system because he said the paperwork he received didnt notify him appropriately. There is a box on the order sheet where the customer should initial that was not discussed with us for alarm systems. He recommended that we should call the office and discuss with the owners. He remeasured the windows. When I called in to discuss the damaged alarm system a lady named Sharon checked the paperwork and assured me that it was not noted in the consultation and was their fault for damaging it. She said she would discuss with the manager.In February another installer arrived with the new windows and found these were measured wrong too. He reviewed the paperwork and stated that he agreed that the paperwork was not adequately completed. He remeasured the windows.We did not hear from WWK until I called in May and again spoke with Sharon. She said she found that the order did not appear to be submitted from February and could not give a time frame for their arrival. I asked to cancel the remainder of the order. She said the owners were on vacation and would need their approval. Sharon recommended that I get an estimate of the damage to the alarm system and email it to her. She thought the owners may help cover the damage.WWK called in June 2021 (1+ year after placing the order) to set up the installation but they still didnt have the windows. I asked about the other problems with workmanship and the damaged alarm system. The ladies on the phone told me that Sharon had been terminated and didnt relay my messages. I asked to cancel the order again. They had me placed on hold for Claudia, the owner.Claudia answered the phone. I explained the issues and my disappointment in their service so far. Instead of being apologetic or even reasonable, I remain amazed by how quickly and childishly Claudia started hurling insults and outbursts, WHY ARE YOU SO IMPATIENT?! WINDOWS ARE NOT LIFE OR DEATH! WE HAVE CUSTOMERS HERE THAT ARE DYING OF CANCER AND THEYRE MORE PATIENT THAN YOU! EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES! I BET YOU MAKE MISTAKES TOO! DO WE TALK ABOUT YOURS? NO! ONLY ONE PERSON ON THIS EARTH WAS EVER PERFECT AND ITS NOT YOU! DONT YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT A CONTRACT IS? WERE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE! She said she was not responsible for anything her staff said to me before and couldnt verify it now due to them being terminated. She was completely unreasonable and I got nowhere. The co-owner was at least not emotionally volatile but still unapologetic.They canceled the next installation appointment in early July because the windows still werent in.Today I am happy to say that we never have to see them again because they finally finished the job nearly 14 months later. The windows seem good quality, but you pay for them in other ways.
I purchased double hung widows for my home. I was delighted for the professional installation and quality product.About 6 months later one of the widows wouldnt stay open. Window World scheduled a technician out to my home; a clip that broke was replaced. The technician was courteous and professional. I wholly recommend this company in replacing windows.
Had half of the windows in my house replaced by another company that went out of business. Contacted Window World of Knoxville and had Luke the salesman give us an estimate to replace the rest of our windows. They came in and installed windows in one day. Everyone we talked to at Window World was great. I would recommend Window World for anything that this company provides.
I was originally quoted a12 week delivery and after 22 weeks I finally had to contact them to find out where our windows were. They have assumed we will wait until whenever they plan to deliver without so much as a courtesy email informing us of delays. After 3 attempts to contact them they finally gave me a January delivery which puts our order at 48 weeks. Unbelievable . I asked them to cancel our order and they are dragging us through the mud over another week in order to save a few dollars in spite if their inept customer service. I do not recommend this company and you cannot trust their word. Their product might be great but good luck finding out the truth since they hide behind their digital contacts. Wish me luck in simply getting our $2000 deposit back.
Took a LONG six months but my mom and dad got their windows. (No fault of WW…COVID and factory). We all were very pleased and had a blast with the father and son installers. That “Jersey” accent from the dad and the great sense of humor was spot on. My real dad had installed the old windows in 1984-85 and he made sure that they were not coming back out. I felt sorry for the son and the extremely difficult time he had but he didn’t give up and they both did a wonderful job. Thank you Window World and thank you Sharon for putting up with my 1000 phone calls. I would definitely recommend them again.
Zero stars really. They replaced windows in my home and did some siding. Windows seem ok so far. However the siding started coming apart. concerned that it may have been an issue other than the actual siding (termites perhaps) I removed the siding to see what was going on with that area of the house. Turns out window world used cardboard to install my siding which deteriorated and caused the siding to detach from the house. Spent weeks calling to have the lifetime warranty take care of the problem however when Mark the owner came out all he could say is that I removed the siding and it would cost too much to have his guys put it back on. Long story they never took care of the problem and I fixed it myself. So much for Life Time Warranty on $1000s in siding. Not reputable at all in my opinion.
We contacted Window World after having two other contractors at our home that made us uncomfortable because of their pushy ways. From the our initial sales appointment all the way through the financing and installation, however with Window World was very professional and well-done. The contractors communicated with us on every detail about what they were doing and how long the job would take. When I had questions they were gracious and responded patiently. The work they did was excellent and if something was not to our liking they would immediately offer a remedy and fix it. We had full siding replaced on our detached garage and we also had storm doors installed on the front and back of our home. All craftsmanship was excellent. They also cleaned up their entire construction mess and did not leave a scrap of wood or siding! We are very impressed and will use them again for future contracting work of this nature. We could not get an estimate scheduled for a couple of weeks, the night before our appointment, they called to confirm the appointment. We called back later to confirm and got the answering service who said they would let them know. On the day of the appointment, Window World called again to confirm but because I was at work working and didn’t get the message they moved on to their next customer and cancelled my appointment. When I called to voice my frustration, they really didn’t care.We have already gotten a quote from CRS Exteriors and they were extremely professional and did not cancel our appointment!!
We had several windows replaced and while the windows appear to be high quality, there was quite a bit of damage done to the existing frames during installation. We called to have that looked at and to obtain an estimate for additional windows replaced. The salesman did not look at the damage but did measure the new windows. When we never received a replacement quote or a call back regarding the damage, we called WW to follow up. The salesman couldnt find his paperwork from his visit to our house. So WW sent another employee out, who looked at the damage and measured the windows for estimating replacing. Approximately 3 weeks later, we still havent heard back from WW.Update 2/18/21: still havent heard back from them.2/25/21: still havent heard back from them.3/5/21: still havent heard back from them.
We ordered windows in Nov 2020 and they told us up front it would be at least March or April before they would arrive because of covid. They came in April 6th but we scheduled to have them installed on the15th. Love love our windows. The two guys who put them in were great. Very nice and polite. The sales person explained everything and was very helpful. They did a great job and our windows look fantastic. So glad we went with Window World.
Took over 6 months to get windows...they said because of covid..my biggest problem was the salesman. He guessed a size of the biggest window on the front of my house instead of crawling in attic to measure. It took months after that to get the one in. The hardware for my doors were ordered and delivered in wrong and different color tones. One window was broke when we got it and that was another trip to my house to fix. They have been to my house 4 trips to make things right and still havent gotten my last piece of hardware to me. I have spoken with the owner directly and voiced my concerns. He needed to know all the mistakes his employees are making because its hurting his business. I was a $17k job and its not been taken seriously at all. I would not recommend them... considering all the problems we have encountered.
I ordered my windows in july 1st, and.still do not have them completed. Owner has worst attitude and does not care about the customer. I do not recommend Window World.

Great experience so far. Ive order 26 windows for a 100 year old home. The windows have arched brick openings and they were happy to work with me to maintain the old look as much as possible. I was told to look out for the up-sale but the opposite has been true. This my second window replacement purchased through a manufacturer retailer and Im confident Im getting a decent deal on a quality window. I will update with photos and post impressions as things progress.
Great experience with Window World. I have had my windows for 15 years and needed to have some replaced due to fogging. It was so easy just called the office gave them the sash numbers that are on each sash and the owner himself delivered and replaced new windows. These windows far exceed my expectations and i highly recomend window world.
Do not use window world of Knoxville. The previous homeowner bought windows from here and after they were installed (not installed by window world), we were told we needed a part for an adjustment on one of the window. I called and called and they said the part was on back order. Now they are saying it was fixed before we moved in. It was in our closing paper work to call window world to follow up on the part. Their customer service is terrible. DO NOT USE WINDOW WORLD.
I absolutely love our new windows. The process was smooth and effortless. The installers, I really wish I had gotten their names, were professional and very helpful. They showed me how to unlock everything so I can clean my windows and showed me what certain aspects on the windows were for. They did not leave a mess and they left all our dressings/alarms/etc in places where we could find them. We are looking to get our french doors replaced and I will definitely be giving them a call first when that time comes. Thank you again!

June 9, 2017You replaced my front 4 windows. It’s a split foyer house so the 4 windows are very long. They are beautiful. The guy who did them though was not in good shape. He had diabetes and apparently his toe was very infected. He could barely walk. I don’t know why he was working.Anyways, I didn’t go over each window to check for how well he put them in. About a month ago, I realized what a horrible job he did with one bedroom window! I can’t believe how he destroyed the paint underneath the window and at the sides!The windows have been paid for.I think your company should come and fix this window.Sent from my iPhone
The workers showed up on time and everything went well. A person knows if they have done the job before by watching them work. They were truly amazing to watch working together. There was no standing around. When they were finished, the area was very clean and the window looked like it came with the house. I would and will recommend them to anyone needing windows

My salesman was Jason. He was laid back and professional. I went into the office asking questions before my purchase and they all were great. No one tried to sell me things I didn’t need or try to up the sale of anything. They were all fabulous! The crew that installed my windows were professional and knew what they were doing. They replaced 23 windows and a special circle top window in 2 days! I’m so happy with my windows! They look great and make a big difference compared to my old ones! I would highly recommend them and I am thankful my friend recommended them to me. You will NOT be dissatisfied with your product!
This company is full of nice, professional, courteous people who care about the job they do. I was AMAZED that a window I had purchased from them many years ago was still under warranty. Not only was there no replacement cost (the seal was broken), but the owner actually brought it out and re-installed it for me! What great service! The windows are so easy to clean, have reduced my heating/cooling bills and cut down on noise. They are well worth the initial investment and I cant recommend a better company to work with.
Sent a guy coughing his head off into our house during a pandemic for an inspection. ‘Nuff saidAlso made my mom cry over the phone from their harsh tone after she voiced her concerns.Maybe they have good service or prices, but this is pretty unconscientious management. Let this review stand as a stain on your reputation for brazenly putting business over safety.
Window world came to my house to give me and estimate on glassing in my screened in porch. Their price was very competitive and the sales person was very quick to give me and estimate and made some great suggestions to improve the project at hand. The installers came out as scheduled and were very professional and friendly. They actually got you know you instead of just saying we are here to install your windows. They had my room done in half a day and left no mess behind. My windows are great and just what was promised from the beginning. I would recommend Window World to anyone and the gentlemen who installed them.

We had windows installed in our newly built sunroom/porch. Fast, professional installation and the windows have so far met all of expectations. Cost came in far below other local well known companies.
We bought 32 windows to go in our new construction house. They were late installing them. They came out to install without so much as a level, square or tape measure. All of the windows are out of square. MOST OF THEM are so jammed up they wont open all the way or close all the way. Some of them wont close enough to lock. We begged them to come out and adjust them before the siding was put on, but they never showed up. They had 4 months to fix them. Now its too late.
Very nice Christian Service man came to house to address Minor issues, Mostly user error. These are great windows and there pricing is the best. The new windows made my house look 10 times better. Would recommend. Also the lady who called to set up appointment was very kind and sweet.
Professional, courteous, prompt service. Installation of doors, windows was well done. Employees of the office as well as the installers were very kind and did their work well and quickly. A follow up visit for a minor repair on a storm door was done in a timely fashion and free of charge. It was very much appreciated by me.
After a long wait, we finally got our Window World windows installed today. The two guys were quick and efficient, completing the task of removing and replacing 9 windows in about 4 hours. The house was quieter and cooler within minutes of of closing up and restarting the air conditioning. The Window World windows are attractive and easy to clean. You cant go wrong with Window World of Knoxville!
If I could give zero stars, I would. My family had a large cracked window that needed to be repaired. Because of the heat of summer, it was uncomfortable, and it needed to be fixed, but we were hesitant since COVID cases have began to increase in TN. A repairman came to our home, and began coughing shortly after coming inside. We gave him some water, but we were all concerned for everyone’s health and safety, including his. He left, but we gave a call to their business showing genuine concern as we have immunocompromised members of our family. The woman on the phone proceeded to say “we don’t see any reason for your concern, and to us the virus is completely made up.” This is NOT how to represent a business, as the costumer is always right.This business doesn’t care about the health of their employees and customers, and if you want a sick person coming into your home that might potentially get your entire family sick then get your windows fixed here.
This was the best and, worst purchasing experience, all in one. The owner, office staff and, installers, were very personable, helpful and, went to the extra mile to make things right. At least, as right as they could be made. The sales rep came to my house for a quote. I told him that I wanted the entire home to have replacement windows but may have to budget to do it in two stages. I asked him to look at the ones that were worse than the others. I told him that I wanted windows like what I was replacing to maximize the view. (This is a vacation mountain home on a lake.) When the salesman came to me with a whole house quote, I was impressed with the price, so I went with his Whole house bid. I didnt ask to see samples. I didnt go over his quote by line item and, make sure he got every window. I just took him at his word that they would look the same as the ones that were being replaced and, it would be whole house. That was my fault, especially for such a significant purchase. When the installers showed up, theyve got these big, clunky, windows and notice that the sales rep measured incorrectly and, several rooms left out. I called the sales rep, Steve, who was shockingly rude. He wanted to charge me quite a bit more money for the windows he left out and, basically left me with the feeling that they had my deposit and, too bad for me. When the windows went in, I couldnt believe it. The frames are 4 inches thicker on all sides than the ones I had before. They obstruct the view that was the very reason I bought this house. But, what do you do at that point...especially when the entire company is going out of their way to make up for their sales representatives error? The best thing I can think of when I look at the debacle of these windows is that it is up for my children to figure out when they inherit the house. Bottom line, this is a good company with a bad sales representative. Wherever you get windows from, be more careful than I was.

Great friendly people. Took time to listen and schedule an appointment to measure the windows. Explained the options and made sure we knew what we were buying and what everything they would be doing along with a time frame for the windows to be delivered and how long to install.
I was VERY happy with my purchase of ALL new windows from Window World!! The guys that came out to install were the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! I would highly recommend this company!
We ordered windows in May or June and they have been rescheduling installation every month since August, the original install date So unprofessional.
Reese was great. He explained the windows quickly and simply. Much better than renewal by andersen, who stayed way past his welcome. Our windows even came in 2 weeks earlier than expected. Wow!! Will update later on functionality and durability.

My mother has had these windows for 18 years. She had a problem a few years ago with a cracked glass due to stress on the frame(?). Window world took care of it with no questions. I cracked window last week and again window world took care of it without gouging us. They are great people who stand behind theirproducts.

These guys are prompt. Called to get estimate and met within a week. They took measurements and had the windows in about 3 weeks. Installed the windows and one window was broke. Called them with the number off the window, and they promptly made a new one. I ended up installing it later because I was out of town and they could not get in.Overall, a good value for the money.
My parents had windows installed by Window World about 15 years ago. They were poorly done resulting in wood rot. The new owner took great care of my parents by having the windows done correctly at no cost. My entire family will only buy windows from Window World! Great customer service.

In May 2016 I called Window World of Knoxville for estimate cost to replace all my doors and windows, total of 4 doors and 11 windows, Steve was my sale person and he came by to give me an estimate, total of $12000, I told Steve that Im going to let them know by next week, so I called them a week after and they told me that Steve needs to come again to do the measurements, so after a week he came and measured all the door and windows and I gave him a $5000 deposit check and he said we should have all the door and windows in next month, I called after a month and ask about my doors and windows, the guy who was in charge to order my windows forgot to order them, long story short after 3 months they called me that my windows and door are ready to be installed, so they came and changed all the 11 windows, they all suppose to be with grid and one of them was not so the installer told me that he is going to come back and change it, no big deal, then I found out 2 out of 4 doors are not the right size, so they said that they are going to come back with the correct door, after a month they came but still wrong size was installed, please check the picture that I attached.so the installer told me that he is going to talk to his boss in order to get the correct size, I waited for their call for 14 months and my job as 11/17/2017, Im absolutely not happy with this company, hate to see their ad on tv everyday.11/28/2017, so they came to replace the front door, after taking the door that had a chip on it they realized they brought the wrong door, so they put the old one back in and they told me that the owner is going to call me as today which is 4/10/2018 no call from window world.
I ordered Exterior Shutters for my house and 5 weeks later still no shutters. I called to find out when they would be installed and was told they wouldnt be in for another two weeks. I asked why it was taking so long and the sales person was very rude to me and didnt care. I had already given them half the money up front. I also spoke with the owner and she was rude as well and didnt seem to care about the customer. I was told it is typical to have to wait 6 to 7 weeks after ordering shutters. I disputed this and the salesperson acted like I was stupid. I cancelled my order and went to ABC supply the NEXT DAY and purchased the shutters I needed. Installed them myself and saved over $400.00. But yet it was taking them 7 weeks to get them. They made a mistake and forgot to order the shutters and could not own up to it.

I met with a salesman that was very nice. I paid half up front and was told the latest my install would be is the first week of August. By the 12th, I still hadnt heard from them(they had my money for 7 weeks at this point). So, I called them about the install and they said the windows had come in 5 days ago, they just hadnt scheduled it yet. We scheduled it for the 20th and I was told the 4 windows would take apx 4 hours. The installer showed up as scheduled at 9:45 a.m. Then, his helper showed up which was apparently his wife since he was kissing the back of her neck. By 12:30, he had only managed to remove 2 windows. At 4:35, he still was not done and had to leave to go get something. He returned at 5:20, starting he had to go to the office to get his materials for his job the next day so he wouldnt have to do it early the next morning. By 6:30, he finally finished the install. 4 windows in 9 hours. No wonder theyre so far behind on installs. Also, when I asked him to leave the aluminum frames from the old windows so I could scrap them, he refused because he said hes going to do that. When I pressed the issue, he relented but said he couldnt just leave the metal and that he would unload all the broken glass and debris from his truck because if I wanted the metal, Id have to take it all. When I told the very nice receptionist my issues, she apologized and then asked me how I would be paying the remainder of my balance. Needless to say, I will NEVER use Window World again and will make sure to tell everyone i know the same. They are pleasant to talk to but have horrible service and a marginal product.
We had siding installed by Window World about 6 years ago. This past spring, during a very strong windstorm, half of one side of our houses siding blew off. We were going through a difficult time, and having to deal with the siding, was going to be one thing too much.But when we called and explained what had happened - Window World was on it immediately - and they did everything needed to fix it and more!We cannot Thank them enough for how hard they worked and how fast they got it done and made it right.We can tell anybody - when Window World says that they guarantee their work for life - THEY DO!So very grateful, Alex and Patricia Dodd

First was good, had a mistake on one of the door, it had grid and we said no grid.should be an easy fix, waiting as long as it took for the first order. 3 months. The office keeps saying the saleman will get back to us. The door other lock didnt work, we put old ones back on.I will not use them again. Will pay more for better staff, maybe product.Jill

In the past my experience with window world was great. Had all new windows, a garden window and sliding glass door installed and many windows replaced because of leaking seals. My experience this time was less than satisfactory. I ordered shutters for 2 of my childrens homes. After 8 weeks one of them was installed. 9 weeks later the other one hasnt. When I called to see if there was a problem the woman that answered the phone was less than helpful and borderline rude. (It was not sharon). When I asked when they were ordered she said all she could tell me was what the computer said. She alleged that they did not know when they were ordered that they had no record of that! Said she would have the salesman call me. 2 weeks later still waiting for that call. Would I recommend them? Not from my latest experience with them.

Just ordered replacement windows for a house built 1964. The salesman was pleasant and technically knowledgeable. He was not aware of position of the company (Window World) on installation without aluminum capping (at $75/window) of the brick mold frame or which promotions were current. The rep called the owner and he said, I suppose in the interest of covering unknowns in the installation process, that if they were not allowed to cap the brickmold then the installation would not be warrantied (in other words if they leaked water or wind, tuff). I would like to think that means by paying the extra $75/window they will not come up with some other reason at the time of installation why it will cost more.Now for the promotion. I had seen 15 months same as cash financing as a search result for WindowWorld of Knoxville and asked the rep about it. He didnt know if they had 15 months but usually had 12 months. He filled out the paperwork and said the office would call if we were approved. He rather informally called back and said yes and the windows were ordered. Later I was wondering if it was 12 or 15 months and called the office. The woman I talked to was asking questions that I asked her to someone else and then relaying the info back to me. I suggested I talked to whoever she was talking to which turned out to be Claudia? (owner). She was very adversarial and rude making comments that some people stretch out the payments if they had to as if I were some sort of deadbeat for asking. I even commented that the conversation seemed to have an adversarial tone and that I just was trying to gather information about the agreement that both of us had entered into. She never lightened her mood. That may be the reason someone else answered the phone. She may not be a pleasant person. Anyway, time will tell as to whether the rest of the interactions are any better but Im not very confident based on my experience up to now.Update: The windows were installed for almost a year now. The installers were very professional and thorough. I am pleased. I had no further contact with anyone from the office. Again, I am pleased.
