First time entering this store. There were several deals, unfortunately there were missing inventory which is why I do not give them a 5 star. The employee who helped us was great, he gave us all the alternatives to be able to get the item I was looking for.

1st time here. Great store. Every employee we passed asked us if we needed help. Cant wait to come back.

This week was my first time visiting any Academy Sports and we purchased a 15 trampoline. First impression when entering was the place was clean and well stocked (except the bicycles - but that seems to be an issue everywhere). We needed assistance and their customer service was great.

Generic sport/outdoor store. Very retail prices.Went to the store to pick up an item. Website said it was in stock at this specific store. Got there, and they didnt have it. Kind of the reason retail stores are having a hard time against online.As far as outdoor supplies specifically, if you have the means, go to bass pro shop.But if you need a basketball real quick?

Need to adjust their on hand counts. Shows that they have ammo and other products available to pick up at store...but only dissapointed after driving nearly an hour to get there.

Eduardo in the firearms department is awesome!! He was friendly, patient and super informative. As a first time buyer I did not know what to expect...would I be treated like an annoyance? Would the workers be dismissive of all my questions?....the whole process seemed intimidating. But there was none of that! Eduardo took his time with me and broke down the entire process step by step. I left feeling confident about my purchase and happy with the interaction I had. Thank you Eduardo!Update: Came in on 6/18 to pick up and was helped by Jose and Cliff. Super friendly and they made the whole pick up process seamless. Nothing but a great experience at this location :)

I appreciate their selection. Wide variety of shoes. Also happy to see them carry and have plenty in stock of ammo. Prices on the ammo were great too.

Everything about the store was great until i went to the register i was waiting in line while this employee was standing not having anyone but she sees another employee amd tell them right this way like really she saw me standing there waiting

The store is always nice and clean with a great selection of camping gear. Prior to the pandemic there was a good selection of firearms but that has diminished. Theres also a wide selection of shoes and sometimes you can find some really great deals.

Great customer service, always have product on the shelf. Department workers are very well knowledgeable

The only thing that bother me was that online says that they have an item at the store but when you arrive at the store and ask the employee where this item is at, (1) they dont even know what your talking about and (2) the item is not at that store.Just make sure you call frist before wasting your time driving to the store

Poor customer service. The young lady in the shoe department was overwhelmed. She was no help. The man in customer service said she was the only person in the shoe the department. He himself was only able to to forward me to online.

It was ok. All we got was baseball stuff. They have every sport you can think of here. All the staff was so nice.

Went looking for a cooler with wheels. They had some but not what I exactly wanted. While walking through saw lots of good prices on clothes. Come take a look.

Staff was helpful. They had the paintball supplies I needed in stock.

Website isn’t up to date. They’ll gladly take your money for items that aren’t in stock (despite website saying they are) then cancel your order and have your money tied up for days during the refund process. Pretty sad a company this established hasn’t gotten with the times as it pertains to e-commerce. Steer clear.

We did a quick stop here to grab some fishing lures for our competition.This is a huge sporting goods depot off the interstate with so many choices and great selection of products.Some items are cheaper here even with the CDN to USD exchange rate of $1.36 this week.Customer checkout was very quick and staff were courteous. There’s a choice to have your sales receipt emailed to you too.

Big and airy for these covid days. Found the flip flops and short that I was looking for. No ammo, rifles or shotguns. Only a handful of handguns available.

Selection can be tough sometimes but this is a good store for sporting goods.

Went here for the 1st time to get a swim cap for my trip and a neoprene vest for my workout at the gym and they had exactly what I needed, and the price wasnt too bad either.

Manager (Joe ) said item (cap dumbbells) I wanted to return were destroyed and were actually in mint condition with blue dust from the carts at academy. Manager mentioned most items are not returnable due to coronavirus however there is no mention of this online or in store. No one bothered to look up the purchase and item was only bought within a month complying with return policy. Very frustrating experience that has turned me off from a store I enjoy shopping at. An associate at the store then finally told them to sell the item elsewhere to try and get my money back.

Gun bar has very knowledgeable people working. Ammo is still low and you have to get there early. Sometimes its best to call ahead to see if its worth the trip.

Do not shop online. I was sent damaged product and they basically did nothing to make it better. Wouldnt send a replacement. Accused me of lying about it. I will never shop online or in store again. To be fair I did not go in store but I never will based on the online customer service.

Great selection of sporting goods

This is an awesome store with a wide selection of outdoors and sporting equipment. I buy anything from clothes to supplies for my smoker to camping supplies and pool supplies. Our most recent purchase was a fishing rod and reel. The gentleman working the department was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They even line the reel for you. Great experience.

Went to get some last moment needs for my son baseball game. All good and helpful staff. Everything that is needed was there.

Good shopping experience. They were in stock, thats a good sign. While nobody in town had the type of bike, in stock, that I was looking for they had it. I wanted an aluminum framed hybrid bike 21 speeds with 700c tires...and that wouldnt break the bank. They had what I wanted and gave me an additional $15 discount at the register 🤑. Friendly associates👍masks required 😷.

I purchase ammunition at multiple Academy Sports locations and the manager on duty tonight whos name I regret not getting says it’s company policy. Since when?? Either all the stores do it or it’s not a freaking policy!!! Highly disappointed

The other night I was in desperate need to find in my sons Christmas present when I finally found that there was one left at this particular store I called customer service and their representative named Jennifer went out of her way to help me, not only did she find what it was that I was looking for, but she also held on to it at customer service till I got there to pick it up. Now thats what I call Great customer service!

Horrible customer service. Sale price placed on an area, but was not honored when I went to the cashier. Shondra the cashier and Daniel the floor assistant were no help at all. Bad advertisement and they should have honored the price/discount. Need better customer service!!

The greeter (I think Theodore) was super sweet and helpful. He was a very personable guy and helped us as soon as we walked in to point us in the right direction. Our cashier was brand new and was super sweet and did a great job. Everyone else was not so friendly. The store was clean though.
