Nick at Dean Team was excellent! He very patiently explained all the differences between the different models, and helped me pick the best one! Very Professional and kind. I’m very excited about my new 2022 Volkswagen! Thank you!
I was trying to buy the 2008 dodge 2500. I live in Louisiana so I asked them to send a buyers order on the truck to see what my bank would say or if I needed to pay cash. scott robert the sale manger was very rude and would not send a buyers order without me putting down a credit card and a $1000 deposit. I told him Im not putting money down on a truck I have not seen or test drove. He got upset and rude so I asked to speak to the GM COLIN. scott robert said it would do me no good because the GM would just say the same thing even went as far to say the owner BILL would not care if I was upset and to find somewhere else to buy a truck. Later scott robert called me back acting as if he was the GM and once I asked who i was talking to he would only say Im the manger, but I could tell it was him. They missed out on a good sale simply because I would not put a 1000 bucks down on a truck I have not had a chance to see. They were very rude and I still have not heard from the GM or anyone from there. That goes to show they really dont care. (PART2) Now the owner replys. We have policy and guidelines. (LOL Yeah) You want some one to put 1000 dollars down and a credit card on file for a truck they have never seen before. Only a MORON would do that. Yall lost a sale and will never reach a 5 star with what yall have going on.
Took my daughters car in for service. They got to it right away. Did a diagnostic test and couldnt find anything wrong. Charged a minimal fee. Feel good about their honesty and promptness. Will definitely go again.
I walked in the salesman asked what im doing here and I said Im just looking around for new car. He replied: ok, go look. I left the dealership immediately!!! Don’t ever come to them
I ordered a new key, which only took two days to arrive; however, I am greatly disappointed with the customer service department. As I was trying to schedule my appointment over the phone, the woman I was speaking to was so incredibly unsympathetic, as if no one has ever broken a key before. She went on to lecture me about the auto industry and why they’ve been “so booked” since the new year. I understand not having availabilities, but all I wanted was kindness. If she could just say “I’m sorry, I wish I could get you in sooner, I know this a frustrating situation” or just have a little bit of empathy, then it would be fine. Instead of being quite frigid and rude. She can’t help it if the schedule is so full- that’s not her responsibility- but it is her responsibility to be good at customer service.
I took my car in recently as my engine light came on and my 90,000 mile checkup was in order. So I brought it in and had them fix the issue and do checkup (The issue had to do with the EGR system). A day later I get my car back and it was doing better and was super happy... the very next day my engine light came back on and had to immediately take it back in as the acceleration was not working and my rpm was super low. It has been 3 days since I dropped of my car and I still have not heard back from them or when it will be done. Dont recommend dropping car off for repairs here.
I bought a used car from them in KW and would not ever do this again! The vehicle had previous accident damage and would not follow through with fixing the headlight damage. Headlights never worked properly for the state of Missouri after bring it back two times to fix it!
I would give them 0 starts if I could! Very unprofessional and scummy dealership! Treated my friend and I very poorly, especially that bald man Greg!! Very disappointed on how you can treat humans in such a disgusting way. When a customer buys something from you establishment, treat them with respect. Please stay away everyone.
Sale manager scott roberts very rude needs lesson on customer service some one from dean team volkswagen will comment after this saying we dont see you in our data base thats because i dont give rude people my info
Cant thank the team enough!!! Edi and Bill took great care of me! Treated me like family. I was in a bad place after someone totaled my car while I was sleeping. They have me back on the road and happier than I could ever imagine! Cant wait to send some buyers their way.
I am very disappointed in the service provided at Dean Team Volkswagen. I purchased a used car from this dealership in October 2020. Upon purchase, I was promised a 2nd car remote from the salesperson and never received it. I tried to follow up with the salesperson several times and she continued to promise that i could pick it up on a specific date, but that was not the case. I also called the dealership to find out the status of the remote, but I never received a call back.Upon purchase, I also realized that the car had paint peeling on the front of the grill bumper. I asked the salesperson if she could assist me with fixing the issue. She said that she could have someone in their repair shop take the paint off and add a gloss to the grill to improve the look. This was all a lie. I have two issues with this occurrence. 1) prior to purchase, the salesperson should have pointed out the significant potential for chipping on the grill. I specifically asked her if the car had any issues, and she failed to mention this point until after purchase. 2) the salesperson should not have promised to fix an issue that she could not resolve. If she were honest with me upfront, I would not mind fixing the paint issue myself. However, she promised to help me resolve the paint concerns, then reneged on her promise at a later date.I gave this review two stars because the vehicle itself is a good quality car and runs well regardless of the paint issues (thus far). I’ll end this by saying: please stop promising your customers things that you can’t deliver. I’d rather be told the truth upfront and avoid prolonged frustration over false promises.Response to the dealership comment posted on 2/25/21: the salesperson only called me to address the key. No one has attempted to acknowledge or, at bare minimum, apologize for the blatant dishonesty regarding the paint situation.
I loved the customer service, the salesman and the finance manager. I believe they genuinely care about their customers.
I have purchased 4 vehicles from them in the last 8 yrs. Ran my SUV in & was told itd need to go to a licensed dealer. Not what I wanted to hear but at least they were honest about it.
Great experience buying my car here!I am not a fan of shopping for cars. Car salesmen/saleswomen are usually skeevy, pushy and dishonest, in my experience.I found the car I wanted in their website. I called up to ask some questions and Kat was more than willing to answer every question I had. I was very impressed with her straight-forward and friendly attitude. I had to get most of the details over the phone because I live a couple hours away. She covered every concern I considered and when I showed up, there wasnt a single aspect about the car that was unexpected or concerning.I would highly suggest buying from the Dean Team based on my experience. They made buying my car as smooth and pleasant as possible.
I had my check engine light come on in my Atlas. I drove it here, having never been here before. They treated me with respect and were so so helpful. Miraculously, they had an opening that day and I was free so they took my car in. they paid attention to details and also did an oil change. They figured out my issue in an hour or 2 and said it wont be done that day but gave me a rental vehicle. It wasnt cleaned but I didnt mind, I was just happy to get one anyway. My car was fixed by the end of the next business day and she runs GREAT now! When I asked for an oil change punch card, they even gave me 2 punches for the 1 visit (maybe for my patience?). Loved every person I talked to/worked with. I will never hesitate to step in here for car service. Keep up the great work, thank you everyone at Dean Team Kirkwood!
Needed inside of car door replaced. Parts ordered/arrived quickly. Easy to make appointment. Work was completed faster than expected. Thanks!
DON’T BUY FROM HERE!! Shady business practices. You should be ashamed. Bought a used car two days later brought it in for scratches, a dent and a CRACKED windshield to be repaired. They repaired none of it!! I’ll be letting BBB know as well. Save yourself the heartache and issue of dealing with these incompetent people. I’m disgusted.
Great service. Best Dealership.
This is for Tom in the Service Department. After purchasing my car new from another dealer (for respect I wont mention their name), I brought my VW Tiguan to them for a simple repair that the other dealer wanted to charge me well over $100. Tom was in sticker shock by the price they told me for something that takes less than 5 minutes. Tom had mentioned that we value our customers and dont see you as just another sold card. I really felt this when speaking with Tom and their service team staff. Obviously my car will be taken to this dealer over the other I purchased the vehicle from.
Brandy was a joy to work with! She made the car buying process so easy and clearly explained everything. She went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied!!
Best dealership in town very helpful and courteous
I live in Columbia, MO and had been searching state wide for a car. I found one I liked at the dealership and made an agreement over the phone with Kat, the sales person, to purchase the car. I put a deposit on the car on March 13th, and made arrangements to come into the dealership on March 17th to test drive and purchase. When I arrived, the car was at another lot, and we had to go retrieve it. When we got to the car we found that it had been used as a loaner. The inside of the car was completely disgusting, it appeared as if someone had a Taco Bell buffet; there was dried shredded cheese and cinnamon from cinnamon twists over the entire interior of the car, as well as gum wrappers and receipts. Kat knew we were not happy, and did her best to remedy the situation. The general manager did nothing to help the situation, even though we expressed our concerns in our conversation with Kat near the general managers desk; he never stepped in to assist. My wife and I made the decision to continue with the purchase of the car, the dealership detailed the car, and we were able to drive home that day.The car came with a 2,000 mile/60 day warranty; and we were not too worried about the vehicle. It was relatively new and had fairly low mileage for a used car. A week later my wife and I were on our way to Florida in the new car, easily a 2,000 mile round trip. While we were in Florida, the car began to misfire and have a rough idle. I was hoping that a quick tune up and some new spark plugs would take care of the issue. When we got home the check engine light turned on. I immediately called the dealership to see what could be done. I explained the situation and that we started to see the issues before the warranty had expired. I talked to the service department, and they were understanding, but stated nothing could be done. The warranty was provided by a third party and would only use the odometer reading when the car is brought to the dealership. I then spoke to finance, and they were also understanding, but said there was nothing they could do; it was a third party warranty. I then spoke to Kat about the situation, and she stated she would talk to her general manager to see if they could be of any assistance. I have yet to hear back.During our last conversation, Kat wanted me to bring the car to the dealership so they could look at it, but there was no guarantee that they would do anything or in any way honor the warranty. This would be a four hour round trip for no guarantee of any assistance from the dealership and would require me to take a day off from work. I understand their position about trusting mechanics outside of their control, but I could not justify the time and expense with no guarantee of any assistance with the car.So...Would I buy another Volkswagen? Yes, the car rides comfortably, I like the layout in the cabin, and it has lots of room.Would I buy another car from Dean Team Volkswagen of Kirkwood? Based on the general managers inability to assist with any issues... No.
I had two flat tires on my vehicle. They fixed them and was professional. Thanks
Greg was extremely unprofessional. After seeing the viral video of him treating a customer poorly, he deserves to be fired. Will not shop here until Greg is no longer associated with this establishment. There are so many other dealerships to shop from, please do not give them your business.
Way better customer service than any other Volkswagen dealership Ive been to!
Worst car purchase experience. Dishonest and incompetent salesperson and finance manager. Out of state purchase. Did not disclose issues with car wheels, missing key(on a Mercedes-Benz close to a $500 charge on a Gls63), harassed me with phone calls threatening repossession of a car that I was paying on for 3 months because the finance manager who is a clown and tried to sell me on concurrent warranties, screwed up the paperwork two times. I had to file complaint with BBB and get the office of the president at Wells Fargo involved .I have purchased a half dozen exotics in the last 5 years and this place deserves a 0 rating. As a physician reputation is everything! This places reputation should be at the bottom of a toilet bowl.I hope this review saves someone the horror show I experienced!P. S. Nice try on your reply. Complete fabrication The only reason things are finalized is because I did not feel it was worth my time to pursue legal action. You did not provide a second key and you did nothing to repair or compensate me for the mismatched wheel. Your salesperson outright lied when I asked her if there were any issues with the car. All she said was one wheel had a scratch on it and she offered to repair that.
Never will buy a vehicle again from Dean Team- unprofessional and undependable
The Dean Team was excellent....the service guys were professional...and FUNNY.....
TL;DRBrought in out-of-warranty vehicle for diagnostic, was quoted $$$ for unnecessary repairs.Extra star because i have no idea what sales is like here.Summary:We brought in our 2016 Tiguan in to have CEL and EPC lights checked, and rough idle condition. They performed a diagnostic and stated we needed an entire rebuild of the timing chain assembly for $1800+ (parts and labor). When I asked about why they thought such a large component needed to be replaced, I was told Thats what the codes are saying. Well, that doesnt pass the smell test for me, and it shouldnt for you either. Im not interested in wasting that kind of money just because someone thinks that is whats needed. We paid $280 for the diagnostic and had the car towed home.I plugged in my own scanner, observed driving behavior, determined the camshaft adjuster magnet had failed and replaced it. Now it drives beautifully and all permanent codes cleared after a drive test... for $60.If all they are going to do is read codes and do a visual inspection before a recommendation is made, then they arent doing $280 worth of a diagnostic. Before going here for repairs, consider taking your out-of-warranty vehicle to someone who will actually try.
Excellent job, as always. Kept informed on progress, price. Staff courteous, professional.
We purchased a car for our daughter and our sales guy did an excellent job. John worked to get the right car for her and she loves it. I appreciate all the hard work that went into getting her a new to her vehicle. Thanks again!
TL/DR: If you plan on doing anything aftermarket to your car, do not purchase any warranties from this dealership, they will make up any excuse not to honor the warranty!I purchased my used car from Dean Team Volkswagen of Kirkwood 8 months ago. The actual process of buying the car was not a bad experience. However, I told the salesperson I was fully intending to modify the car upon purchase. When asked if Id like to purchase the extended warranty to cover the car for a few more years, I told them again Im intending on modding the car and so I was concerned they wouldnt honor it. I was told as long as the mod isnt the cause of the issue, theyd honor the warranty. I foolishly believed them because they seemed trustworthy.First time I go in to service the car for a burnt out reverse light, and guess what? Theyre telling me my short throw shifter caused it so they wont fix it. I took the car home, replaced the bulbs myself and its all fixed. They simply didnt want to bother with my car so they gave me a flimsy excuse. Either they really dont know Volkswagen transmissions very well, or they just didnt want to honor the warranty Im currently paying for!
Doing this pandemic I need some simply work done on my 2002 Volkswagen Beetle. I needed a headlight, in which they ordered for me, price I was willing to spend bout 300.00. I didn’t have the correct pin in my oil pan, so I thought if I took it to the people that worked on the car they would have the correct pin. Now the pin that was in there shouldn’t come out due to the fact that if you take it out you can’t put it back I . Now they come back and tell me I need a oil pan that would cost me 600.00 my light that I’m thinking bout 300.00, windshield wipers 40.00 oil change 90.00, and a back bulb didn’t get the price for that. I said that was to much and I wanted to take my car home, just as we was checking out the mechanic came with my pin in his hand saying he got it out . My question is why since I said not take it out he said all the oil just came out false I did have an oil leak but it was a slow leak that why I came I came in to correct the problem. Had to leave my car overnight, got a call car is ready paid 900.00 plus drove home and now I don’t have a back headlight. I know this will be my problem also even though I came in with two headlights they changed my bulb and now I have one. Worst day of my life, I don’t have a job right now and they got me spending money on their mistakes. Wish I could give them no stars.Jackie
Great experience with the sales person, horrible experience with the sales manager. When discussing numbers, he came back with an offer and I asked if it included two discounts I was eligible for (military and college grad). He acted surprised and berated me for not mentioning it, even though I had already discussed it with the sales associate I was working with. If he had waited to get all the info from the associate instead of intruding on our conversation (without introducing himself), he couldve had that info up front. If youre shopping for a Volkswagen, youd be better served by going to anotherd where they know how to treat potential customers. Ill take my business to Bommarito next time.
I’ve been a Dean Team customer for 3 years now and my experience has been meh. I will say, the guys in the service department are very nice. But the sales department is a different story. I’m about at the end of my lease and am trying to figure out a dealer buyout price. No one will take my calls or tell me who to call, I’m getting very frustrated. When I call VW Finance it says the call volume is too high and hangs up on me. It has been that way for a week. I’m assuming Dean Team thinks I’m taking my business elsewhere so they’re ignoring me. Great way to treat customers. Hopefully this will get someone’s attention and they can help me.
My wife and I just purchased a VW Tiguan. Great vehicle at a good price. More than that, it was a great non-pressured experience. Kat, did a fantastic job.
Friendly staff. Great customer service.
Dave S. was my salesman. He went above and beyond to get me in a car within budget. This was by far the best car buying experience Ive ever had. There was no pressure and it was smooth from start to finish. Bill in financing was very nice as well.
Horrible experience while asking for a quote for the lowest price the dealership is willing to sell the car for. The salesman directly quoted how much money do you not want me to make. Put the customer first then talk about numbers. Awful customer service.
I bought a car from Dean Team in 2017. The purchase experience was mediocre but the follow-ups have been incredibly difficult. Apparently once they make a sale they won’t do anything beyond that, even if it is included in the package. One month ago I moved across the country and got a nail my tire along the way. While attempting to change the flat tire (the first ever for that vehicle) I realized I didn’t not have all the pieces to the jack. I didn’t inspect the spare tire and confirm I had all the pieces when I purchased the car off their lot in 2017. I contacted Dean Team to see if they could get me the missing crank for my jack and they called me back thinking I was contacting them about buying another car. When they learned my issue they responded with zero concern, said they would look into it and call me back later in the day - I never received a call. If I have to recommend a VW dealership in saint Louis (my mother and sister all own VWs), I always send them to Suntrup. Customer service at Dean Team is deplorable.
I often say that good customer service seems like a rare treat these days, so this comment was worth leaving. Brandy thank you for your wonderful customer service, expertise, and patience with me on Friday, July 5, 2019. If youre interested in buying or leasing a car, Brandy is a phenomenal part of the Dean Team! She not only provided excellent service, but she is also very professional. She listened to all my concerns with a great deal of patience. I appreciate you, Brandy, and Im letting others know about your outstanding service. Thank you
Dave Schultz is a great salesperson to work with. He provided a relaxed and comfortable environment. He demonstrated his knowledge of the vehicles and the car buying process in a casual manner with no pressure at all. He went above and beyond to ensure that our requests were met. He also took the time to introduce me to Anthony in the Service Department so I had a familiar face for future routine maintenance. Kyle, in the finance department, was also nice to work with and made the financing process fast and easy. We had a great overall experience and plan to make future purchases with Dave and the rest of the team.
If I could give Negative 5 stars I would. I DO NOT recommend ANYONE doing business here. The finance department is just shady and I was berated for wanting to thoroughly read the paperwork. Please go somewhere else to buy a car. You will have nothing but headaches and run around with these people. I was told my finance rate was one thing, then as Im walking out of the office, Bob VanOyen tells me he accidently put the wrong finance rate in, but we can figure it out at a later time. luckily I did my homework and got it taken care of. they are liars and manipulators. Stay far away!!!!
Update 2: Back to 1 Star due to them posting, We spoke to Benjamin, and everything has been resolved. Yeah, its been resolved...by nobody but me. The options I was told would be in my car were NOT put in my car. I still had to pay off the car in whole due to their lies. In fact, its in the shop now due to some piece of MoDoT equipment being in the middle of the highway (obviously not their fault), and its been over a month. The damage wasnt even that bad. Bumper, Airbags, Coolant Tank, etc... Nothing *major*. No loner cars available, either. Its insane that they would post that everything has been resolved. They DID NOT ONE THING to help with a single issue I had back then, or recently.Update: The ONLY reason I am giving this place two stars is because the maintenance team was friendly, quick, and got everything done that I needed. One of them did accidentally crack one of my rear reflectors, but I was told about it immediately, they ordered another one, and took care of it. See? THAT is good service. Just being HONEST, and taking responsibility goes a long way with customers.I bought a car here, and I will never do it again. Some if the most shady business practices Ive ever seen. Even for a Car Dealership. Flat-out lies were told about the car I bought. The warranty is basically useless unless you barely ever drive anywhere as well. So annoyed that I spent $28,000+ here. Good learning experience, though. I know never to go to Dean Team for ANYTHING.
My parents had a time chain put on there 2014 vw Beatle and with in one month and 500 miles the motor was shot. They actually admitted they could have made a mistake putting the lifters in wrong, but they will not fix it. If I could give them zero stars I would my parents payed over one thousand dollars to have this job done and it wasnt done the right way and the services advisor tom told them that he would work with them but later on he told them that theirs nothing that he can do for them. The car was out of warranty but vw had an extended warranty on the timing chain and they still charged them over one thousand dollars and after all of this. They have a car that needs a new motor because they messed it up when they tried to repair it and now Tom the service manager told them to come and get it.
Been trying to get into contact with the sales team for 2 weeks now. I haven’t heard anything back. Almost making me not interested in the car.
I had a great experience with Dean Team. There wasnt any pushy sales tactics, everything was professional and friendly. Craig and I agreed on a fair price fairly quickly. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone. Thanks again.
I was looking for somewhere to review this dealership for other potential purchasers - this was our experience:We went in to casually view a few car options that weren’t available at a dealership closest to our home, we were surprised by the immediate level of customer service that we received. We quickly determined that the vehicles we came in to look at would not work for us as they didn’t fit our lifestyle. We had mentioned that we liked the Atlas, but it was out of range considering what we wanted to spend. We were pushed to make an offer on a vehicle with the trim level we wanted - which they didn’t have and would have to procure from another dealer. We shot them another thinking it would be too low and we’re surprised to find that the manager agreed - even knowing that he would have to have it brought it. We were super appreciative of that - and their willingness to be so proactive as an expression of their appreciation for military service members. We put down a deposit - which was never expressed as nonrefundable - with the verbal expectation that we were agreeing barring any issues we had with the vehicle once it came in.The vehicle came in a few days later and we came in to test drive it after the weekend. We were concerned with several issues - particularly the transmission lag. Our saleswoman even asked why we weren’t as excited as we “should be”. Upon leaving we expressed our concerns with each other and then notified our saleswoman via text. Late last night we received a text back saying she would address our concerns with the manager and get back to us. We waited hours after opening and didn’t hear anything. We decided the most effective and honest way to address our concerns would be to just visit the dealership. We walked in the door to an immediate hostile attitude. Our saleswoman greeted us but then just stood there while the manager berated us loudly on the floor; “I took you at your word that this was the car you wanted...I now own this car that I bought for you...What if I decided just not to sell you this car for what we agreed on - you’d lose your mind!...etc” Not only was this extremely poor customer service, but it was rude and meant to intimidate. Another salesperson - who we had never even spoken to - came over and also loudly and heatedly interjected how we were doing wrong by the dealer. When asked what we wanted to do we stated that we did not want to purchase THIS Atlas and we wanted our deposit back. “No, never going to happen!” shouted at us so we left as to not cause a bigger problem and possibly turn what should have been a civil conversation in to an actual altercation.OUR DEPOSIT MONEY WAS STOLEN by this dealership - we had no written agreement beyond the price that we would pay if we purchased this vehicle. Before placing the deposit on the car we expressly asked if it was in order to hold this particular vehicle for us BARRING any concerns that we may have as we had never driven it, let alone set eyes on it.In my opinion I would spend time with another dealership if you like to keep you money in your pocket and don’t like being publicly shamed for issues out of your control. This behavior was abhorrent and we are disgusted. Deposit money is ALWAYS refundable unless expressly stated otherwise. Yelling at customers on a sales floor is NEVER acceptable behavior. Shame on you.
Let me tell you about my experience with this dealership. I was interested in 1 car and took it for a test drive with a salesman, it had flat tires and the check engine light was on. Obviously I wanted those issues remedied before purchasing the car and repeated myself multiple times and they agreed. I called them a couple days later and was told someone put a deposit on the car while I was patiently waiting for the issues to be resolved. So I was upset and talked to the salesman a couple times about them agreeing to fixing issues with the car for me and what not. I got a call from them maybe 2 days later saying the car is ready for me to come purchase, and Im wondering how is that possible when I was told someone else has a deposit on it. So that was very sketchy and I should have backed out right there but I did end up purchasing the car because its something Ive always wanted and within 2 days the check engine light came back on. there are aftermarket parts I was told thats causing it They had the car for 2 weeks trying to fix it and put over 600 miles on it. I also asked for paperwork on what work was performed and never received any. So I get the car back and after a week the check engine light comes back on. I take it back this time and they kept it for a month and were extremely careless. Failing to return multiple calls or giving me any updates, I was finally told that it was basically just sitting on their lot and they did nothing besides reset the check engine light. So I have this problem of being sold a car that has this issue when I asked them several times before buying it that I wanted this resolved. The only resolution they offered was for me to trade it in for a different car, which is absolutely mental. I would be perfectly fine if they even removed whatever aftermarket part is causing this issue so it will be able to pass inspection in the future. Its very frustrating spending so much money and getting treated like this in return.
Great operation. Brandy and John were both extremely helpful and not pushy. Highly recommend this dealership..
We found a great car, One of fifteen being sold across the country right now. Great price and great people to deal with. We just cant wait to pick it up.We made it up to pick up our car. Brandy was our sales gal from the start and was so extremely helpful. She fought to get us the best deal possible. Everyone there was helpful and made buying the car from 5 hours away a pleasure. 1st class service
Dave Schultz went above and beyond with my recent car buying experience. He took time to understand my needs and wants in my next car. He was honest and trustworthy throughout the whole experience. He helped me figure out what was the best decision financially. And he followed up after purchasing my car to make sure I was happy with my purchase. I seriously could not imagine going to anyone else but Dave to buy a car. I would and do suggest him to any and everyone who is out looking for a new or used car. I am extremely happy with my recent purchase
If you go here be sure you can have a week at least without your car because no matter how big or small they will take forever. My car smelled terrible afterwards.
No prices bc they want you to come back to be pressured i guess. It was quite annoying to not have any prices
We had a reasonably good experience leasing our Volkswagen Atlas with the Dean Team however our experience after has been disappointing. The spare key was not available at the time of the lease, and we were told it would be mailed to us shortly. After 5 calls, one in person visit and two different people telling us the key would be mailed we have still not received it three months later. Good salesmen but unfortunate customer service thereafter.
Anthony was very courteous and willing to help during a visit for vehicle service.
Kyle Steinberg and Stephen Garrett make leasing a car a lot of fun and stress free! They are super knowledgeable and talented in helping the client reveal the best fit car for the client’s wants and needs! Check them out and you will be glad you did! Leasing a car has never been this much fun as these two gentlemen create an awesome experience! Thank you, Kyle and Stephen! All love,Mattie :)
Great selection of preowned vehicles! Excellent customer service! Quick and efficient. I am very happy with the condition and price of the used car I purchased.
A dealership that doesnt accept a cashiers check is an outright scam. Every other dealership in the country accepts a bank certified check! Because I refused to pay via wire over the phone *without seeing the car* as they requested, they stole my $1000 deposit and would have not returned it if I did not dispute it with my credit card company. Stay FAR away! I am reporting them to VW corporate and filing a complaint with the BBB. They need to go out of business for taking advantage of customers and using pushy sales tactics.
Overall a decent experience working with DT of Kirkwood. This was my first dealer purchase and having an experience girlfriend there made it easier to understand. The prices you see online are $750 less expensive unless you are Active Duty in the Military, and to be fair it is in small print - at any cost, I would just show the actually price of the car and ask if the customer is AD and only then, provide them with a discount of $750. It would be more of a surprise to the servicemen and women and less of a surprise for the rest of us. The wait - Now I did go on a rainy Saturday, and there was a couple people in front of me for finance, but I was there for over 4 hours. When I finally made it to finance I could hear a guy loosing his cool because hed also been there most of his day, so be prepared for that. I think most dealers are the same, out to get a sale, but my experience with them was overall great. Why them? Honestly I ended up at Dean Team because the SUV Ive been searching months for was on the lot. Will update review if anything changes but even the customer satisfaction is up to par.
As far as customer service is concerned they are flat out the best. They will bend over backwards to help you. I just wish they were selling a more durable product.
Good service...
My review is based off the parts department. While Dennis was extremely helpful, prompt, and courteous, there were employees in the background that couldnt stop using foul language (all main swear words). While it doesnt bother me at all, I knocked off 2 stars for overall professionalism and lack of awareness to their environment.
Great dealer from someone who doesn’t live in St. Louis. They were kind enough to sell me a bottle of diesel emission fluid for my BMW as I came into town from Washington DC and had a low DEF warning light. The parts dept. was closed but a employee was kind enough to grab me a bottle as we have special DEF adapter for german cars like VW and BMW’s. I didn’t have exact change and he was going to give it to me for free but I went to the bank and came back with but it showed me how nice these people are. Wish we had this kind of service from our dealers back home. Thank you for the kind gesture.
I love the team, The Dean Team❤ OJackson
From the second I walked into the door to when my daughter bought her first car, it was such a wonderful experience! My daughters first car purchase. We did go elsewhere first, not a good idea, unless it was for me to really appreciate how amazing they were at Dean Team Kirkwood! I already have them keeping an eye out for my next car! Buying a car can sometimes suck, but this was actually a great first experience for my daughter and I could not be happier!
They have a huge inventory with a wide variety of vehicles. I bought a 2013 Volkswagen CC from them, but the car was in a bit worse shape than the listing. Other than a few scratches and dents, great car! But I was a little upset that I had to buy floor mats for the car despite the listing showing that floor mats come with the car. Kind of shady
When the dealership refused to let us take a used car home for the night (while my $72,000 truck stayed with them for collateral), we immediately decided this dealership wasnt the right place for us. Either the dealership has no faith in their used-car inventory (or worse) refuses to trust a customer. Its too bad the dealership didnt ask for our financials; wouldnt they feel foolish. Buyer beware; if the dealer doesnt trust its customers how can the customers trust them? This is a an example of dealing with someone not authorized to say yes. Dear Dean Team, you lost a potential customer today. While were only one customer, perhaps my review will have a significant impact. If I could assign less than one star, I certainly would.
Just purchased a 2010 Jeep Wrangler from Dean Team Kirkwood and I could not be happier with the vehicle and the service that was displayed. I worked with Big John and he was amazing. I even received a personal hand written thank you card in the mail the same week. This will be my third car purchased from Dean Team and there is a reason I keep going back; good deals and good people.
Nikki is a great person to work with! She is friendly, helpful and works extra hard to get you in the vehicle you want. She went the extra mile! However I was not happy with the online ad that posted one price but when you purchase the vehicle in person the price is higher. The service department staff is not as friendly and helpful as Nikki. They need to take notes from her expertise and learn how to treat a customer. If it were not for Nikki I would not have bought the car at all. She was so great that I didnt even haggle over the price. She earned the commission even though I feel it was a bait and switch transaction. My 5 star rating is for Nikki and the sales staff only!!! For the other experiences I would give it a 3.5.
I had a fantastic experience at Dream Team Kirkwood. This was my first car buying experience. I called ahead and told Brandan what vehicle I was interested in and he had it ready for me when I got there. He was extremely helpful! Everything was extremely easy; I didnt feel pressured and everyone was very professional. The finance team is pretty great too. They took time to answer all my questions and made it very easy to understand what I was doing.
We went in with a set amount we wanted to spend, left the lot empty handed. Received a call within 10 minutes of leaving that Larry just took a trade in of a car that would be exactly what we wanted!! Went back and left with our sons first car. Super friendly and went up and above! No hassle absolutely great experience.
Some recent bad luck left me without a vehicle. Having heard good things about Dean Team, I made their dealership my first stop. With an excellent car buying experience, Dave Schultz made sure Dean Team was also my last stop. The process was excellent, and Dave and the team went above and beyond to make sure I left with not only a vehicle that would suit my needs, but one that I would quickly fall in love with. If youre thinking about buying a vehicle, I fully back your choice to visit the Dean Team, you wont be disappointed.
Thanks for the waste of time. Dealer wouldnt let me test drive the vehicle they have advertised thats parked in their lot outside. The sales child didnt know anything about the vehicle yet had the audacity to waste my time then tell me I had to qualify to test drive the vehicle because its a $150k hummer h1. No wonder its sat on their lot for over a year.
I had a great purchasing experience with Dean Team. My sales representative Kat was extremely helpful and patient to help me evaluate my options and answer ally questions. Of all the cars Ive bought and traded in over the last few years this was by far the easiest.
I went there because my car trunk wouldnt open from the button inside or on my remote and I had groceries so I went to the service department and they try to make me believe they had to pry open my trunk and want to charge me $130. So I left and went on Google and found how to do it myself from the back seat and it was simple. Businesses are always trying to get over but I guess they have to make their money some how.
Be careful and shop other places. Can be bait and switch. Just some strange ways and things they do.
I went in today just looking at Ford Edges. I was not planning on purchasing anything today. But I spoke with your salesman John Townsend and he got me a great deal and an amazing interest rate that I could not pass up. He was amazing from the time I pulled on the lot, till I pulled off. Everyone at Dean Team Volkswagen in Kirkwood was extremely nice and helpful. From John all the way down to the gentleman that cleaned and washed my Edge. I will definitely be back for my future purchases and will send my friends and family as well. Thank you again for your helping me out. I absolutely love my Edge!!!
The service was good, but I wasnt even in the shop for an oil change. I came in for airbag replacement due to a recall. I made an appointment for the work to be done, only to arrive and be told that the airbag part wasnt there, and likely wouldnt be for some time (days, weeks, months???). As a result, I had my oil changed, since I didnt want to waste a trip to the establishment.I was told the car would be washed, but it wasnt. I was told a point inspection would be done, but there was no mention of the results. I assume no news is good news. The oil change was fast and everyone I spoke to was extremely polite. I will go back, but I will be sure to double check that what Im coming to the shop for can actually be done.
I was sold a vehicle on 3 tires and a spare. The salesman lied at the sale, telling me the sensor was on due to low air in a tire. I let him know that after airing it the sensor was still on, but also, hit a deer over that first weekend. Had i needed a spare tire in that accident, I would have been stranded with my children and grandchildren at midnight in the middle of no where. After taking it in for repairs, I was informed they could not fix the one sensor because the vehicle was riding on the spare, no 4th wheel. I called Dean Team and found that the salesman no longer worked there (That was fast!) And the second salesman listed on my sale said, I told him to tell you that! That is part of the reason hes no longer here. As if this somehow excused the lie! AFTER multiple attempts, by me, to get this rectified (they are still in no hurry to make it right 3 months later) I am doing everything I can to, yes get my 4th wheel, but if they never make it right ..... BUYERS BEWARE!! LIARS! Apparently their name isnt even worth the $200-300 it would take to put the wheel on my vehicle.
I recently had my car serviced at dean team and couldn’t be happier with how the service department treated me. Due to the what was wrong with my car I had to sit in the waiting room for a while, while waiting I witnessed the general manager Colin aggressively berate his sales staff in the middle of the sales room floor. I have never witnessed or heard something so unprofessional in my life. My first ever internet review of an establishment and I think this deserves it. How he is allowed to talk to people like that in front of customers I do not know.
Took my sons here to look at cars on the lot, (WE ARE BLACK) I sat in the car while they browsed... one of their RACIST workers set off an SUV. Alarm to deter my boys from looking. Miraculously, when they returned to my Jeep that I purchased right down the street 2 workers a man and woman came out of the building staring at my Jeep.... this state is SAD and Dean team should be embarrassed
Came to pick up a part, everyone was very busy, but made time to say hello. They were friendly and very quick to get me taken care of. The office area was clean and everyone looked professional. Very happy with my customer service experience!
Recently purchased a new WV Golf. I had never purchased a vehicle for myself before. Everything went so smoothly. I worked with Reese, who was very nice and informative. I told him how much I was willing to pay and he made it work. I got a fair price for my trade in and left with a car that I love. The dealership is nice and offer good perks for customers. Best of all, everything went quickly and I was able to leave and enjoy the rest of the day with my new VW.
The two gentlemen that are running the service department up at the desk their customer service is second to none
Excellent experience...Rus was terrific. No hassle, no pressure. Was expecting the normal car buying back and forth games, but did not happen. I was hesitant about Dean Team, from past reviews, but it was a pleasurable buying experience. Would go back again
Dean Team really helped turn a bad day into a great one today. One of our cars had been limping along and it finally, though unexpectedly, reached the point at which it is pointless to throw more money at. The Service Team (always friendly and informative) gave us the bad news and we ended up connected with Maurice the next day to handle the trade in and help us get into a new car. He spent the day with us test driving cars and listening to what we liked and didnt like. In the end, we picked a 2014 Tiguan. When it came time to sit down and haggle, it turned out there was no hassle. Maurice and Kyle just wanted to know what it would take to finalize the sale. We were reasonable about it and so were they. It was simple and professional. Besides, they have surprisingly good coffee. It was a job well done!
The sales staff was very helpful when I purchased my vehicle. When I have taken my car in for service, Tom is always very helpful. They have great customer service and I would recommend them to anyone. I have purchased 2 vehicles from there.
Dave was great to work with. He made purchasing my first car easy and fun. Dave was very personable and took the time to explain all the new features on my car. I would definitely recommend him to any of my friends or family looking for a new car and will use him in the future when it comes time to purchase or lease my next car.
Our salesperson, John Townsend, was great to work with. We ended up with a great low mileage used car that fits our needs perfectly. Cant say enough good things about John.
Maurice Gayden took really good care of my wife and I who both had two expiring leases at the same time. Him and the finance staff worked out a deal that was exactly what we were looking for. Maurice took the time to explain every bell and whistle, and ensured that we were satisfied customers. I would highly recommend asking for Maurice on your next visit with the Dean Team Volkswagen of Kirkwood!Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Worked with Dave over the internet and through text message. He was a no fuss, upfront and honest salesman . Drove in from over 100 miles away and drove off the lot in less than an hour with our car of choice. Not only did they completely pay off our trade, they worked with us on the payment we wanted without any pressure or haggle. This dealership and Dave made car buying stress free and easy!
This morning I experienced something rare in todays business environment . . . true customer service.I want to thank Anthony at service desk, his service mgr. and the very personable, professional service tech who went above and beyond true customer service for my wifes vehicle. Most sincere thanks,Bill Freddy Friedrichs
I love Kyle, he is very patient, kind, helpful, educational and makes the whole car buying experience fun! Everyone at this location is friendly and easy to work with! They are all hardworking and laid back! I recommend this place to everyone I know!!!!
Fast and great service. They were very frendly and useful. I got my car fixed fast and I am very happy with their work. I highly recommend this place.
Overall very satisfied with my purchase, though the interior of the car was pretty dirty when I bought it (Rich offered to have the car detailed the following week. Rich did a good job working with my budget and helping me find a car I liked. The car made a concerning humming noise when I started it and put it into gear that Rich said he would have the mechanics take care of, so as long as he pulls through on this, I will be completely satisfied!
Great service department. Very courteous and professional.
I purchased a 2015 Volkswagen Passat just this past Saturday! I was greeted from the time that I walked through the door. They have great customer service. They explain everything in detail and my questions werent left unanswered. I will continue to buy cars from them because they made me feel comfortable, like family.
I I went the first Saturday in June 2029 to find a car. Im still waiting on the salesman to get back to me. Its okay though Suntrup VW got it done.
