I had a great experience here. I had just bought a used Volvo and wanted the brakes checked out. The owner came out and was looking at the brakes before I had even got out of the car (I had called ahead to ask some questions). He was using a flashlight and a mirror and really taking a close look; most people that do this just take a superficial look but you could tell he was really taking care to make sure everything was in order. He correctly identified the part of the country the car came from, pointed out some interesting things about what he saw on the brakes and rotors and the wear patterns, knew everything about the composition of the brake pads and the history of Volvos braking systems, what I should expect, and what to look out for. Extremely friendly, professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and practical. This is going to be my go-to shop for my new car.

I had a brake problem with my Audi. It vibrates when I brake, especially on high speed. I called Eastside European (refers as E&E below) to ask for help. After I explain the problem, Shane immediately acknowledge this is a brake Rotor problem and that needs to be replaced. That matches with the dealers diagnostic findings. I then ask for the option of doing brake rotor resurfacing. Shane explains that European car are considered performance car and does not recommend doing any rotor resurface, but instead replacing rotor (this matches with what I heard from other shops/dealer). Shane then gives me a quote for getting it replaced and a reasonable turnaround time with a loan car. Among all the other shops that I called, E&E seems to hit a sweet pot with both quote and turn around time.So I sent it in, and got the car back the next day. I even got a loan car for me to drive home. It is a very smooth experience.At the time of checking out, Shane told me the finding of a rust brake rotor and explained to me to rinse the wheel after a winter trip to ski resort to avoid this to happen again. That tips is great!I am very happy with the repair and also asks him to order some missing parts for my Audi roof rack.Here are some of the good:1. E&E has a good quote compared with many other shops (I did call a few other shops to get their quote/turnaround time)2. E&E has a shortest turn-around time3. Shane is very knowledge and is willing to help give tips/suggestion.Overall, very happy with the repair experience. Highly recommend!

Shane was absolutely wonderful. Finally a mechanic I trust. I took my Porsche Macan in for a big maintenance interval because he was reasonably priced and well-rated. While completing the work, one of his mechanics accidentally opened my drivers side door over a metal object and it slightly damaged the bottom of my door. Shane took full ownership of the accident and already had a quote to repair the damage from a reputable repair shop - he also found out the next available opening and paid for the (again minor) damage to be repaired. Accidents happen! It’s how you handle them that show your character. He handled it perfectly. I will be back!

Daughters Lexus died on 405. Had AAA tow and dump on Shane after hours. He worked it in, installed new alternator and had it ready at COB next day. Great service!

I called these guys in a tearful mess after my dealership told me I was gonna need to spend almost $2000 to fix my squeaky brake problem in my fiat, and not only was Shane so nice on the phone and talked with me through my unintelligible crying, he took a look at my brakes and listened to what I had heard at the dealership and reassured me that my car was much too young to have the problems the dealership was telling me and that it was actually a pretty easy and inexpensive fix. I just picked up my car from them, my brakes are beautifully silent, and it took about 3 and a half hours to get it done. They are professional, compassionate, and have definitely gained a customer for life.

This is the best auto car repair shop I have ever used. They had the job of doing my Land Rover Oil Change, which they did much much cheaper than the Land Rover dealer .... and they did it whilst the car was under warranty, as they are an authorized repairer.However, they also spotted an oil leak on the engine, and took the trouble to take a picture, and send it to me. As a result, I was able to get Land Rover to fix under warranty - what would have been an expensive crankshaft seal and input seal repair job in the future.This the repair company for me in the future.

Never had a problem working with Shane. Very knowledgeable, fantastic customer service, and does everything he can to get your car serviced as soon as possible. Hes always there to answer questions I have about the car, even if I didnt plan to bring it in.To show how much Shane cares about the customer experience, I once came in to pick up the car and found out the bill was $400 less than the estimate because he was able to reduce the time taken to fix the car. If thats not an honest and great business I dont know what is!

Need a clutch, anyone know of a good shop? I race cars and can do my own work so I know what it takes and was ready to pay a good fee for good service. Apparently this is not the place, as they had no interest in helping me with my BMW. All the reviews here are ancient. I guess theyve gone downhill. I never asked to used aftermarket parts, I just asked for a recommendation and would have followed their advice but the door was slammed.

Just finished having my ML 350 serviced with Eastside European Auto. Had a terrific experience. Service was completed ahead of schedule and much less than the local dealership. If your Mercedes or BMW is out of warranty or you are due for your routine service - go visit Eastside.

I used Eastern on my older MBZ for years. Shane has always been honest and fair and straightforward to work with. He gave me workarounds to save cost and advice when it was time to find a newer car. I dont think you can go wrong working with Eastern.

Shane and the guys at Eastside European were very thorough and performed several repairs and routine maintenance on my BMW 745Li. They performed a valve stem seal and valve gasket replacement, replaced spark plugs and camshaft timing sensor, performed transmission service and adapter seal replacement (in addition to reprogramming the transmission), replaced several hoses at no charge, and changed the oil. Shane took his time to explain everything to me and even provided a loaner car while my car was being repaired. He even showed me the old parts that were replaced upon picking my car up. My car has never shifted and responded so smoothly. I feel comfortable taking my car to the guys at Eastside European. They know their stuff.

Recently had an oil change and general inspection done and received top-notch service and, most importantly, great communication. Inspection revealed a handful of suggested fixes and a few that were considered urgent (for example, a cracked drive belt), all conveyed clearly in a phone call ~4hrs after we dropped the car off. Cant give enough kudos to Shane and his crew! Ive taken my seasoned BMW 330xi in a few times, and each time the service was top-notch, as described, and precise to estimates. Shane has always been kind, patient, engaging and willing to give you as much (or little) detail about the work they do for you.Their knowledge of the makes they work on (at least for the Bimmers) is unquestionable, they clearly know what theyre doing and take pride in it. Prices have always been within reason, and to top things off Shane has loaners you can reserve for the day. The loaners are always tanked up and CLEAN - you really couldnt ask for more.Ive never worked with a mechanic who instills such a sense of confidence and reassurance. I just took my 08 Smart fortwo in for a 40k checkup & brake job at Eastside European, and I was thoroughly impressed. From a price standpoint, their rates are very competitive, and for Smart owners they will be more affordable by leaps & bounds compared to most anywhere else around. They were very thorough, prompt, and clearly defined what I was paying for before any services were rendered. Overall, I was completely satisfied & will definitely use Eastside European again for my Smart service needs.Side note: I didnt plan ahead and forgot to ask for a courtesy car, but since I was in a pinch & needed to get to work, the manager threw me the keys to his PERSONAL car so I could still make my commute! How awesome is that?

Im so glad I discovered Eastside European for myself. I found the proprietor to be an honest man who knows his stuff about European vehicles. The diagnosis wasnt the best in the world, i needed a replacement water heater but i was impressed with how quick the mechanic was able to let me know, and how quick they could get it done for me. Very Good if you dont have to wait for it. The first time I came in for an Oil changeeverything went fine, but I just called and they told me they dont take job that requireyou to wait anymore. All I want is a oil & filter change, like they did before, but Iguess they are not organized enough to do any customer wait jobs anymore. Too badI planned on some bigger jobs for them (without waiting).

Had a rear brake job done on my BMW X5 by Eastside European. As usual, Tyler and his team did another outstanding job. Not only that, the cleaned my wheels of all the dirty brake dust off. Ive been a customer since I found Tyler in 2008. When Tyler opened Eastside European in Kirkland, I followed him over to the East side. The older gent at the front desk was rude and more interrested in talking down to me than helping me.And while I was there 2 cars came in off tow trucks with very unhappy customers, which he also talked down to.This is not a place to take a fine automobile to for quality service. This is a at best a bottom shelf, tape and glue type of shop. But they will talk fast and pretend they have it all figured out.Save yourself the break down/return trip and spend a little extra and go to the dealership where there are trained professionals to service your auto.Shaun

They fixed my 2010 BMW 335 xdrive within 48 hours of drop off. The car was throwing a Service Engine Soon light. It turned out to be a bad, worn throttle body. Within 2 days, the shop had diagnosed the problem, procured a new part, and had it installed. Shane, the owner seems to be a real stand-up, fair guy. Hes also a diagnostic wizard! I would highly recommend this shop.

Called to make an appointment for my X5 which has a substantial oil leak (no doubt this will be a costly fix) and the guy on the phone refused to make my appointment since I could not remember if I had a V6 or V8. Seriously? He said its inconvenient for him to not have that info now. Why cant I provide that info later. After that unfortunate lack of customer service, I plan on avoiding this place for both of my BMWs.

Called in to get a quote for a timing belt on my VW 1.8t. Was priced lower compared to VW of Kirkland and was aligned with other independent shops, slightly lower price and had loaner cars available (that sealed the deal). I hadnt used this shop in a few years, past experiences had all been good and this one was no different. Shane is just an excellent guy to deal with. Very customer centric and honest. Transparent about the parts they use for the service and labor seems to be what is expected for the various jobs. Theyre an excellent deal for the service and quality of the work they do. I had made an appointment first thing in the AM, requesting loaner car be ready (since I had to head to work asap). I showed up, loaner car was all ready outside (very clean late model Jetta with low miles, was basically a new car) and the quote I was provided on the phone matched exactly what I was charged. Shane found a few other safety issues to address and he prioritized them from most urgent to can wait until later which made it easy for me to choose what to do now vs what could wait later on. Thanks for the overall excellent experience!You always get what you pay for, avoid the bottom dollar shops and give this honest shop your business! They know European cars like no other and will treat you with respect and honesty that is simply hard to find nowadays. I am extremely happy that I found Eastside European. I needed a solid independent shop to maintain my 2010 328i xDrive close to home, and they fit the bill.Shane is a straight shooter...knowledgeable and manages his shop well. He will help get you a nice loaner car (newer Jetta) if he can. I have had my car there twice and each time he has been able to accommodate.Their prices are what you should expect for maintaining European cars. If you get a estimate for half the price (as I have seen some other commenters say), and you think somehow that is better, then by all means go for it...but you know how it goes...you get what you pay for.I am going to have my girlfriend bring her 2005 Volvo in for timing belt and water pump next. Shane gave me an estimate for this over the phone without having to look it up on the computer (he knows his sh@#t). His estimate included everything that should be included with this job having done my research first.Eastside European has earned my trust!

I have only trusted dealerships with my porsche in the past, as a lot of shops arent up to par as far as service goes. I came across Eastside European and i thought that overall experience i had here was very positive. The technicians were more skilled than most ive seen on the Eastside, and it was definitely more affordable than the dealership usually is. I would recommend this shop if you have a high performance vehicle.

STAY AWAY!! one of the worst shops i have ever dealt with PERIOD. (have had many bmws over the years so have been to many in this area) if you like FAKE NICE keurig coffee and wasting your time and money than this is the shop for you! otherwise TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED DOLLARS ELSEWHERE YOU WONT REGRET IT!!...I used to love this shop until I dropped my bmw off for a routine visual inspection and came back the next day only to find out (from the owner himself) that I was being REFUSED a BASIC VISUAL INSPECTION for no reason other than he didnt think i would pay for any further repairs so he wasnt going to even touch it...EVEN THO I HAD CALLED PRIOR TO MAKE SURE HE COULD DO IT BEFORE I EVEN TOOK THE CAR THERE AND HAD AGREED ON A 70$ INSPECTION! guess he had a change of heart. I may look young but i definitely have the cash needed to maintain a european car and his behavior was beyond sickening it made me want to vomit. so if you wanna contribute to a business owned by people like that feel free!

I had been having trouble finding a reliable and consistent place that was qualified to work on my 98 Audi A6. I had heard about Eastside Eurpoean while complaining to a friend about my bad experiences with my car repairs and decided that next time I had something go wrong with my car I would take it here. A few weeks ago I realized my heat and air conditioning wasnt working correctly and with the weird weather we have been having in this area this was not ok. I took it to Eastside European and it was like a whole different planet compared to the other shops I have experienced. This place is incredibly fast with not only answering any questions but diagnosing and actually resolving the issue. I have never had such a quick fix for this poor unlucky car.
