I didnt actually shop here. Just took a friend who needed a ride to pick up a few groceries; however, as far as ease of access and convenience, its aces. Its right on N. Queen Street and the parking lot is clean and well maintained.

We got cupcakes for Fathers Day weekend from Food Lion on West Vernon Avenue in Kinston. They were melt-in-your-mouth fresh! Great icing. We went today to order a birthday cake. Wendy was very busy doing other things, but she stopped as soon as she saw us and came over to help. My daughter wanted a specific cake which did not show up in the book. However, Wendy took the time to look through two big containers at all of the character sets. When she couldnt find it there, she found another book that had pictures of more birthday cake characters. And she found my daughters favorite one! She was so friendly and so helpful and we appreciated all that she did. Thanks so much for Wendy (a great employee) who took the time to find that special cake for my daughters birthday!

I love this grocery store...the employees are so helpful. They really make my trips enjoyable. Its always clean and well stocked unless a storm is coming (lol). Prices are good and I love the sales and promotions they always have going on.

Its Food Lion. Theyve got most of what you need...everyday things we used to get there are gone replaced mostly with their house brand, others just missing (like Rolos candy). They are what they are and probably will perish from the bad information they received from whomever handles their marketing. However, they do keep the staples and dutifully ask did you find everything you were looking for? I quit answering as the blank stares or dimissals did the question no service. I understand, its corporate and fish always rot from the head down.
