I declined service to the transmission they inspected due to the overall bad condition of the vehicle (a recovery from vehicle theft). Everyone was pleasant to deal with and understanding of my situation. Would recommend this shop based on their integrity.

Amazing individuals, amazing costumer service. Reached out to me with every single detail of my vehicle. They gave me a date for when it would be ready, only about a two day wait. I was out of town for a few days, they understood and allowed my car to maintain under their care till I returned with no additional charge. Service was worth every penny of mine. My transmission went in my 23 year old self converted camper van when I was traveling through Texas. Everyone I know said I should just get a different one & start over, but this thing means the world to me. I also figured that if I got a different van, the same thing could happen in that one. But if I have it rebuilt, itll be much more dependable & will hopefully last for much longer than another used, old van. Once I decided for sure that I wanted to have it rebuilt, there was no question where I was gonna take it. AAMCO is a trusted shop, especially when it comes to transmissions. There are shops with longer warranties & shops where youll spend less on having it done. But AAMCO has shops all over the country. If you just plan on driving your vehicle around the block, a local shop might work. But if youre like me & you like to go where the wind blows, youre gonna want these professionals close by no matter where you may be. The entire process took a few weeks, but it was well worth the wait. They found a couple other little things that were wrong & barely charged me to fix them. I got to pick it up on Friday & made the trip back to Florida where I live. This baby ran better than Ive ever seen her run. Smooth shifts, no more leaks of any kind, runs quiet now that the exhaust leak is mostly fixed. To say Im happy with the result would be a huge understatement. They did an awesome job & the woman I talked to about progress, Laurie, is super professional, knowledgeable, & friendly.Anyway, I appreciate yall at the Killeen AAMCO. Youre awesome!

My husband and I were shopping around getting quotes for a new transmission for our 2013 Nissan Altima with ONLY 69k miles on it with a TRASH CVT Transmission in it. I came across AAMCO Transmissions and talked to two WONDERFUL ladies named Traci and Lori. Both ladies got our information, but Lori was the one that called me back with some information that will help us. I wont go into detail, but what I will say is this: she did NOT have to go out of her way for us and I hope she sees this review. With everything going on in the world, it was truly refreshing to talk to someone that seemed to card AND was willing to assist people she has never met. The folks at AAMCO told me that all that work wasnt needed. Charged me under $300 and everythings been great ever since. They provided a very quick diagnosis of my truck and the front desk was great.

Took my 2010 Ford Explorer to the Ford Automax Killeen dealer service with a wrench warning light on and all they did was read the codes off of a computer at a price of $150 and tell me I needed to replace the entire transmission at upwards of $5K. Immediately payed the $150 and took this vehicle to the AAMCO and turns out all I just needed was a solenoid pack, new fluid and a filter. The staff and mechanics are very knowledgeable, fair, and polite. Ended up fixing the problem for ~$700. Definitely come back here for any automotive needs.

I called AAMCO to request some information about switching a solenoid pack inside my transmission and to service my transmission. The rep told me it would be $249 just for the service and then kept insisting that it wasnt my solenoid pack that needed to replaced and kept saying that it sounded like cross wires or saying I might needed a new transmission installed. I bought the new solenoid pack myself and the service parts for the transmission service went to sprockets on base and did all the work myself and my truck works perfectly fine now!!! I saved thousands of dollars by doing this job on my own, everything only cost me a little over $300.

The first time I brought my vehicle in, they did me right!So I returned to get some additional work done, again I was done right and for a cost far less than everyone else in Killeen!So do yourself a favor and quit going to the businesses on the Central Texas Expressway. Go where you wont get taken for a ride or have things replaced that do not need replacement but repair!

Horrible front desk girl and service.Took my Ford focus in to get transmission inspected and they took my transmission out and inspected it and when I went to check on my car they said they took it apart and inspected it and the fee was $1200 which was bad enough but when I looked in my car there were parts of the transmission sitting in the front seat and when I asked them about it they said they didnt have the equipment to put the whole transmission back together.So not only did I get completely screwed over and ripped off their mechanics couldnt even put the car back together so I am definitely talking to a lawyer about this situation because Im 100% sure if you overpay a mechanic $1200 to inspect your car that price includes putting it back together.So needless to say this situation is far from over.

After being short changed by 2 other business, I was able to have my vehicle repaired at a reasonable price. The repairs were completed by the end of the day as promised.

They are very nice people. They got the job done in time, when I needed it done. Affordable and reasonable prices. I first took them to do my spark plugs. They did a great job. Because I was so pleased. I came back a week later to do my breaks. They were very busy but fit me in and had it done in two hours. I recommend them to everyone. I was looking around to get my A/C worked on came across there page and it had 5 star rating so I clicked on page. I read all the reviews and I was convinced I went the next morning.. the front desk is very polite and very knowledgeable..and you can bring your own parts which is very rare and they have great prices...I found the shop Im going to every time I need my vehicle worked on.

Pretty helpful place and staff. However dont expect them to try and help you maintain a budget. Their pricing is their pricing and they dont offer incentives or discounts. Its understandable as they have a certain cost to maintain for labor, but I like to go to places who know that same maintenance can be costly and do what they can to help work the price down.

Fantastic service. Very down to earth people.Went in for my first time to have my breaks fixed, and I was incredibly surprised at the service. The mechanic even took me out and showed me what was wrong, and what he fixed. The price was also great, and I feel like I wasnt being mislead unlike my previous experience at Cleo Bay Subaru. Went with my relative to drop off car for serpentine belt replacement. Comes out riding rough, bumpy. Turns out one strut is now stuck ( likely from car being lifted ). Struts need replacing but until that is done why not just unstick it for the meantime if that is possible. That would be providing excellent customer service instead of being unnecessarily defensive. If a customer tells you the car is not riding the same since leaving your business would it really be that hard to try and assist them with no extra cost (no not free parts. Not asking for replacement just quick fix if possible). But thats not possible because thats not even considered.

The two worst brake jobs I ever had. The brakes sounded like metal grinding after three or four complete stops. I could feel it in the pedal and the seat.I brought the car back three days after the initial job. I was told that the mechanic only had the issue happen one time on the test drive. One instance should have been enough considering the parts were new. Good brakes dont make those sounds. Instead, they did nothing.12,000 miles later.. it sounds like the brakes are just dragging on the street. I bring the car in. They throw the 10,000 mile warranty at me. They also hit me with labor. They warrantied the rotors. How I brake and how much I drive was brought into question.Exact same issue with the second set of brakes. I just dealt with it at this point thinking there is a deeper issue. Over a year has gone by. People would ask me if my brakes were okay or where did I go for my last brake job? They wanted to know where not to go. I ended up rear-ending another car. The brakes just completely seized.I took my car to Pep Boys 3 weeks ago for a brake job. The brakes exhibit none of the issues that Ive been dealing with through Aamco parts. They act like they are supposed to act.I had my transmission repaired at Aamco before the first brake job. It took a full week to get the car back. They gave me some excuse about parts that were required to explain why it took so long. Honestly, Im skeptical of what was wrong with the transmission at this point.They were kind enough to give me some food while I was waiting for the brake job. I added one star for that.

Went there about a month ago to get my cutch fixed cost me extra cause my custom exhaust, no big deal. but they said they found a noise turns out that noise was my rear sway bar they had to take it off and didnt put it back on properly and also they lost one of my lug nuts on my rear passenger rim and on the same rim another lug nut wasnt even tight . fixed my clutch but caused more problems then it was worth.

This place made sure to ask me before they fixed anything in addition to my clutch kit installation on my G35. They were very easy to work with!

My sons air conditioner went out in his car they told me it would be $125 dollars to run checks. They completed the checks and said it was a leak that they could fix no additional charge. 2 days later it goes out again. i was told to pay $119 for another test. Once the test was completed I was informed that the compressor was bad and a replacement would be $1300. I got a second opinion from a mobile mechanic. It turns out that the ECM was bad and it only took minutes to find out it wasnt the compressor. The entire service parts and labor included was $300. Thats only $56 dollars more than what I gave AAMCO for their test, without the $1300 dollar fee for a service that wasnt required. I bet aamco would have told me the ECM was bad after I paid for the compressor replacement. #ScamCity

5 stars? Really?. Ill share my bad experience. I took my car for a diagnostic. They told me it was going to take 2 hrs. At 2hrs 10mins I went back and the car was in the same spot I left it and the keys where still in the counter. The lady said: I dont know what happened, sorry, Ill take care of it. I was asked to wait 30 more mins. 45 mins after the system went down. I waited 15 more mins to finally get my diagnostic. They asked me to leave the car and said it was going to be ready the next day by noon. I called the next day at 12:30pm and they told me that the parts didnt arrive on time therefore it was going to be ready by 5:30pm. I called at 4:30pm and asked them to call me if the car was going to be ready or not. They did not call me. The next day they called me at 8:10am to apologize for not calling me the day before. The car was finally ready in the afternoon, I paid $300 and I had to take it back a few days after because they did not do a good job. The car had the same problem plus 2 more new issues. The next day they asked me to pay more to do an electronic diagnostic because they did not find anything wrong with it. Who wrote those reviews? Themselves?

They stayed late waiting on my truck to get dropped off. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable mechanics.

I came in with transmission issues and the warranty company was giving me a hassle about covering it. The staff at AAMCO went to the bat for me and really worked to get it covered. In the end l paid the deductible, and a few parts and labour that the warranty wouldnt covered. I only came out of pocket 500.00 and the warranty paid the other 2200.00. I cannot express my joy with this company and its staff.
