I love the old school bakery idea and you make great treats and desserts, the lady was really kind and helpful and other then it costing a little more then I would of liked cause just thinking that one chocolate chip cookie for 2 bucks is a little speedy but then I just think that you got to make a profit somewhere and I support you little by little!!

I had passed by this gem many times until one day I decided to stop by. They have a variety of yummy deserts but decided to only have a cupcake and a cookie for my daughter since we had never been. Well… let me tell you we came back the next day. Not only are they super cute and decorated to perfection, they are also delicious! Hands down the best in Kent/ Tacoma area. Not only are the treats wonderful, the staff are super super friendly and welcoming. Ny daughter asks me to stop by so she can chat with the staff. Love love love this place! If you haven’t been; you will not be disappointed

Only one star because I went to go in for the first time and their doors were locked. Granted it was only 30 minutes before their posted hours of closing but still. I will write another review after I actually am able to try it.

One of my favorite bakeries in Kent! I have gotten both my husband and my SILs cakes from here and they loved them! Staff is also super friendly, and they have the cutest items in their display case!

Amazing owner, incredible espresso is the hidden gem here. The rest is obvious: you walk in and the aroma of spun sugar and vanilla and cocoa hit you. The strawverry chocolate cake pop is a must try. The eclair could be shared with two other people. The amazing cookies and cookie decorating kits for holidays are always a hit too.

I have been meaning to write a review for a long time. This place is by far our favorite bakery in the Seattle/Tacoma area. More impressive than their delicious baked goods is how incredibly welcoming and wonderful the staff, and in particular, Alison is. They go out of their way to provide the best service to their customers, and also offer a military discount! I ordered a wonderful cake for my spouses birthday and they surprised both of us by putting an edible photo of our dog on top of the cake! Just one example of their superb service. If you are in the area you HAVE to swing by for some of their baked goods!

I had heard great things about Sweet Themes Bakery so I decided to stop in while I was in the area. Oh boy, they did not disappoint! They had an excellent selection and everything looked so amazing! The staff was very kind and courteous and I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner and her husband. I look forward to bringing my wife there next time we are in the area. For now we will feast on the treats.

First time ordering, in the past they have been super responsive to emails and with providing quotes. I ordered a cake and the ordering experience was easy, they called to ask questions and gave me exactly what I asked for. the cake was good but It was heavy on the frosting. we all just ate the cake and left the frosting ( we meaning my family of 7 people)

We usually stop by after my daughters doctors appointments for a little reward for her and fell in love with this bakery. We loved them so much we used them for our wedding cake and desserts. Our cake was so good my husband and I decided on the night of our wedding that we would make it a tradition to order a mini version of our wedding cake every year on our anniversary. Our anniversary is September 5th and I placed an order for the cake and got a call from them letting me know they are making our cake complimentary for our anniversary. The workers are beyond sweet, easy to get ahold of, and just wonderful. I would recommend Sweet Themes Bakery to all friends and family.

Ordered my sons 21st birthday cake from here. This was one of THE best cakes I have ever had! We got the chocolate with chocolate mousse and Italian buttercream on the outside. I asked them to decorate it with balloons piped all around, and they did a fabulous job. The cake had just the right amount of sweetness so it left me wanting more every time. Will definitely try their other baked goods.

Just so happen to be walking by and saw they had a bunch of treats in their showcase. I only got a few things just to try and I will say their macaroons are A1! I wish I got all the flavors they had. I was not disappointed at all with their variety of different sweets and treats. Only thing I do have to say not very many GF stuff cause they aren’t actually a GF place but that’s normal for a bakery...for now! Give it a 5/5 I haven’t had bad sweets yet but I know you still got to put in work to make them come out just right!

I had a huge order for a work event and mistakenly gave them the wrong date, a week later than what I originally asked for and the team made it possible in the same week! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sweet Theme Bakery. They provided custom cookies for our wedding favors and they turned out better than perfect! I was so relieved when I was recommended to use Sweet Themes, because they gave me EXACTLY what I was looking for and more. Our guests commented on them, and they were a huge hit! Another wonderful bonus was they made my husband and I our own custom cookies with a bride and groom shaped Mickey Mouse. I literally jumped when I saw them - it was beyond awesome! Thank you so much for making our wedding day that much more special with your incredible service!

I was actually surprised because I thought there might have been more of a selection of different desserts. I was hoping they might have pies or other different treats as well that are pretty common for bakery desserts. They do offer custom cakes. You can get coffee and there is a lounge area to have your sweet treat as a dine in. Pricing is a little bit high, however the desserts do seem to be made with pretty good quality ingredients. The employee wasn’t very warm or friendly, I tried to ask some questions and get her opinion on what was most popular, as it was my first time, and I didn’t want to spend $7 on a cookie that I didn’t end up liking. She really didn’t want to talk much as her answers were very short and straight to the point.

Cheesecakes! OMG!. Cookies, cupcakes, bars, puffs, macaroons, you name it, they have it. Be prepared to walk out with more than you intended to buy because everything looks decadent and delicious!

We bought a variety of desserts when trying Sweet Themes for the first time....six different cupcakes, two cake pops and two bars. All have been AMAZING! The flavor combinations, complimentary flavor and proportion of cake to frosting, are fantastic. The peanut butter chocolate bar was to die for. And service was great. This bakery always has great traditional and innovative treats. Sour Watermelon sugar cookies, cakes, brownies and much more. They have both Hummingbird and Carrot Cake and usually have several in the refrigerator available to buy at the last minute. If you want custom order call at least a week in advance.

Very disrespectful owner. I was discriminated against because I look different from her and it was overall a negative experience. We were barely in there for 10 minutes and we were asked to leave. I will be reporting to the better business bureau. Will not be coming back and recommend others to stay away.

I did not realize how long it took to get custom cakes made. Most bakeries were quoting 2 weeks and charging a rush fee. The owner at Sweet Themes called me to take my order and chat about what I was looking for. She did not blanch at my timeline, just said they would make it happen. I sent her a few images to choose from and then let them do their thing. The cake turned out fantastic. It will be a real showstopper at our socially distant 50th birthday party for my Gene Simmons loving husband Scott!

This amazing bakery made a cake for my sons first birthday. The cake was perfect in every way. The little edible elephant decorations were adorable and tasty! The filling was raspberry and the icing was blue. It was a perfect combination of artistic beauty and delicious flavors all mixed together. This is the type of bakery that every town wishes they had!They have a great selection of baked goods with enough variety everyone will find something that suites them. I am a frequent client and most recently ordered my first cake through them, it was an easy process and the cake itself was delicious. On top of the good food and convenience its run by a great group of people who are friendly and take great pride in their work and their community.

Ordering anything besides drip coffee and you will be disappointed. They have a young lady work register and coffee while she has no knowledge of espresso. I ordered a latte which tasted like warmed up milk with some drip poured in. It wouldve been too awkward and embarrassing for the young lady, who was just doing what she was told, to return the drink. They just lose my business and should never have yours. Coffee is to easy. No excuses for this one!!!

Amazing is an understatement!! I had my first visit today and definitely not my last. The staff was just as great as the sweets. On a scale of one to five, Sweet Themes Bakery rates a ten plus! We had a group of about forty people. Everyone loved the cake and wanted to know where we got it. And it wasnt just the flavors, lemon cake with raspberry filling, but the design work depicting my wifes favorite hobby, quilting, was spectacular. Thanks for the great job. Word of warning, a half-sheet weighed approximately twenty-five pounds. Thats a lot of cake!

Superior cakes, cookies, and cheesecake. We have ordered many cakes and cookies over the years from Sweet Themes Bakery. For Thanksgiving we ordered two of the special “turkey Leg” cookies make with rice crispy treats for our two young great nephews. They were a huge hit! We also ordered an assortment of their special Thanksgiving Themed cookies to offer for our other guests. As always, the cookies were a hit. Even my brother in law that normally doesn’t eat cookies loved them, and went back for more. We love their small coconut cakes that are normally stocked in the case, and if I put in a special cake order just for us, I really like their lemon cake, with lemon curd filling, and Italian cream frosting. We have also ordered their carrot cake, white cake with raspberry filling, and German chocolate cakes. Our party guests live when we serve Sweet Themes cakes. They are all amazing. We have always had great service at Sweet Themes. This is definitely a great addition to Downtown Kent.

Great looking cakes, cookies, and bars. Friendly, fast service. Though sweet is in the name, I didnt realize just how sweet something could be. I like a moderate amount of sweetness with great flavor and texture but, for my pallet, there was too much sugar. The raspberry bar seemed like it was not cooked enough, with the underside of the bar almost translucent with oil and sugar. I had part of a pumpkin bar with cream cheese frosting but it was killed by the addition of sugar crystals on top of the frosting. Great for sugar hounds. Not for me. Back to Wild Wheat for something more home made and not as sweet.

Whats not to love?! Great cookies, beautiful tasty cupcakes & cakes, macaroons that are not only pretty but taste awesome. I have to say though that Im torn between their cheesecakes and their dessert bars as to what my favorite is. I highly recommend this place for anytime you want something sweet

Unfortunately all of my childrens Birthdays fall under the Covid-19 stay at home orders, and so traditional store bakeries are not making any birthday cakes, not taking orders. The day prior to my sons birthday party (just close family), I called Sweet Themes Bakery and spoke with Hannah, and she is just sweet as could be and helped me choose an appropriate cake over the phone at the last minute for my sons 8th birthday. The last couple of months have been a really hard time for us and her kindness and helping me meant alot. Thank you!

Sweet Themes is the best bakery in all of south Seattle. Their small cakes are incredibly tasty. Their cupcakes rock. Their cookies are better than anyones around. And they sell a home decorating cookie kit that is awesome if you have kids that have an interest in cooking/baking. You get a dozen baked cookies and a half dozen colors worth of buttercream frostings. (They actually give you wayyyy too much frosting but thats hard to complain about ;) )

Can I just say the people at Sweet Themes are one of the kindest people Ive ever met! The day I went to go pick up my sons cupcakes I had an unfortunate death in my family and found out as I was driving there and I came in the bakery a mess. Not only did she comfort me and took the time to console me but she gifted me a BEAUTIFUL cake for my son who didnt have one for his birthday. The small kind gesture of her (Im so sorry I forgot your name) made the day a little more bearable for me. We have ALWAYS and will ALWAYS use them for every event we hold...which is often!Their cakes are FANTASTIC! and the decorations are Perfect.We even go in now and then to have coffee and a cookie or some other single serving...My daughter had a baby last month and we got three dozen wonderfully decorated (in baby theme) sour cream drop cookies individually wrapped and ribboned its a boy written on them.The owner is so sweet and the girls who work for her are amazingly helpful and all around good people!

Last minute cake needed for sons birthday. I stopped at Sweet Themes. They had a good selection of ready cakes in their case. It was hard to decide because their other two display cases had cookies, macaroons, cupcakes, bars and mini cheesecakes. The smell was amazing. I got a white cake. It was amazing!!!

Very unfriendly owner. I had the unfortunate experience of having the less than friendly older male not help us. He acts like he doesn’t even want to sell his own bake goods. I had been here once before and had the same unfriendly experience. Decided to give them another chance well bad decision. I will never give this place a chance again. Go to wild wheat nearby much friendly and they actually want to sell their product!

They wanted to charge us $145 plus tax for a SMALL (maybe 5 people serving) round cake! Went somewhere else, ordered the custom cake, got a bigger cake & what we wanted for only $19.99! But I will never forget how my jaw dropped when they priced my order! $145+ for such a small simple cake!? Unless its being sprinkled with 24k gold flakes...FORGET THAT!!!

We ordered a custom graduation cake for our daughter - an open book with logos of her high school, Running Start school, and university she will attend in the fall. It was absolutely beautiful. The decoration was perfect and the cake was moist and delicious. Thank you Allison and crew!

We get all of our special cakes from here: engagement party cookies, anniversary cake, birthday sweets. The staff here is super nice and friendly. Just go to their website or call to have a cake special ordered. Theyre super flexible and will work with you on what you want. You can tell that the owners are passionate about what they do and it shows in their work.

I cant say enough about the wonderful product and customer service I received from this bakery. I ordered a cake and cupcakes for my grandson first birthday -after a mix up with the order the owner quickly corrected everything, delivered it to my home in time for the event and through in some extras for my trouble. Attended 2 birthday parties at Sweet Themes Bakery. Both times were fun and loved that they are open to whatever theme the party was. Last one was a Farm theme, where they allowed bunnies to come in and have kids pet them...It was a cute place.

Sweet Themes is my go-to place for an afternoon treat. They have a great selection of cupcakes, cookies and cheesecakes. Their custom cakes are BEAUTIFUL. My favorite here, though, is their sugar cookies!

Extremely expensive and the owner creates a very toxic environment for her staff. Also berates and talks badly about her staff to other people. I would highly recommend avoiding this place for employment or for shopping. you can find a much better product for a much cheaper price somewhere else

Called to put in a request for wedding cakes and a baby shower cake tasting in one...started process on the phone but then had to fill out the application online so we could look at the flavors and options. Which was perfectly fine but...that was like a month ago or more and we never got an email or a call back. update: over a year later and no we didnt ever hear back lol bumped from 2 to 1 stars

The place is beautiful inside and has a very nice homey feel to it. Their display cases are dazzling and everything looks delicious. The Carchedis were very nice to talk to and super helpful in finding other things around town. Go in and be sure to try some of their muffins! I recommend the Hawaiian or the raspberry Streussel.
