Possibly one of the smoothest, most amazing cups of coffee I’ve ever had. Autumn blend poor over with just a small amount of the seasonal maple flavor added. The flavor complimented the complex taste of the autumn blend but never overpowered the natural coffee. These folks know what they are doing! Highly recommended!!

I have loved Bent Tree since the early days back in 2011! I have watched it grow and it has been fun to see! Truly our favorite spot in Kent. We love sitting outside with our drinks in hand, smelling the yummy beans roasting. You dont get this experience at most coffee shops!!! By far the best coffee in Kent, OH! High quality roasted beans, espresso drinks, and tea. Before covid, I would spend several hours inside doing work and enjoying an iced caramel latte with oat milk (havent discovered a coffee shop that makes my favorite drink better than Bent Tree does!!!) The sweetest baristas/staff, the best coffee, seriously all around 10/10. Also, look at this cute travel coffee tumbler they sell! Its my favorite :) Big fan of Bent Tree!

This place is a staple every time we visit the Akron area. We frequently get the coffee shipped to us out of state and drink it nearly every morning. Cute merchandise, friendly staff, and (of course) an amazing variety of roasts.

Stopped in today for something quick to-go. Not being from Kent I hadnt heard of this place before but Bent Tree did not disappoint! I got an iced oat milk vanilla latte & it was delicious. Will definitely be returning!

This is the best place for coffee in Kent and Northeast Ohio and probably Ohio and maybe the world (okay, maybe an exaggeration, but only because there are lots of nice places out there).Super high quality roasted beans, hot coffee, espresso beverages and tea. Plus, lots of extras available for purchase like delicious baked goods, honey, handmade mugs, etc, pretty much all locally sourced.On top of all that, everyone who works there is a delightful human being. Eagerly awaiting for when the rona is behind us and I can hang out there again.

I never considered myself a die-hard coffee drinker. I love coffee don’t get me wrong, but I never felt the urge or need to go buy coffee on a daily basis. Once I tried Bent Tree’s coffee, all of that changed. The only reason I don’t go daily is because it’s not closer to me!!! The atmosphere is always friendly and the staff is great. :) Aside from the coffee (and delicious pastry) Bent Tree also has some of the cutest and most comfortable merch. I have two beanies and I absolutely love them!

Excellent coffee, knowledgeable staff, great selection of light/medium roasts which is unique....3(?) different ethiopean beans! Organic selections which is highly important to me. Maple latte is amazing. The barista today was incredibly helpful and educated me on different extraction processes. Ill always buy bent tree.

They are very nice people! I was just picking up a doordash order and they asked me if I wanted a drink also so I got iced coffee and it was very good! I went to pay for it and they would not let me so I gave them a tip at least! And they were trying not to let me do that either but I insisted! They are great people here I will definitely be back!

Ive never had a bad experience at Bent tree coffe. The workers are always nice, the atmosphere of the coffee shop is fantastic. As for the coffee itself its very good honestly some of the best coffee Ive had in Ohio. On a personal note its also where I first went on a date with my fiance.

They need to stop selling roasts labelled as dark. Theyre obviously medium roast at best. Quit playing and make a real dark roast.

Literally the worst coffee Ive ever had. No joke. Maybe since I bought it in a store, it was old or stale? I purchased the Espresso Roast. It wasnt dark, it wasnt strong and barely had any flavor. It tastes like 3 day old coffee thats been reheated in a microwave. Never again. And for $11 a bag, Im pretty upset and of course I cant get my money back. Never again.

Idk why there are 5 stars we went to scribbles first and the coffee sucked so we threw away those cups and walked here. It was cute and staff was friendly but coffee was even worse. Ordered a mocha, it just tasted like espresso with milk. No foam no nothing, barely tasted chocolate might not of even been present.

Were brand-new too the Kent area. I purchased coffee from Bent Tree for my husband for Christmas. It was delivered lickety-split and he has really enjoyed it. Cant wait for COVID to abate so we can visit in person.

Bent Tree has it all: Excellent coffee & espresso drinks, outstanding baristas, high quality merchandise, and a cozy atmosphere. One of my favorite things about this place is that as much as they can, they source their fun latte ingredients and pastries from other local businesses! This is the best coffee roaster in Ohio I have tried hundreds of coffees from all over the world and bent tree is always equal to better than anything I’ve tried. If you live in the northeast Ohio area this is the only coffee you should be buying. They also just happen to have the friendliest and best staff of any coffee shop I’ve been to!

Had a meeting that I was hosting today and I wanted to provide a group of 6 people hot cocoa and green tea (their request). Instead of pointing me toward ordering each beverage in bulk which would have been too much for our group size and too expensive, the staff prepared four cups of each in a small box that they put together to make carrying it easier. The cost? Half the price of what it could have been. This is my first interaction with Bent Tree Coffee after having frequented other coffee shops in town, but I will definitely be returning here. This is a great place.

I’ve been going to bent tree for the last 2-3 years and it’s an amazing experience every visit. Each barista strives to please and I have never had a bad cup of coffee. My personal favorite is a vanilla latte or just a cup of the PB&J blend.

Went to Bent tree for the first time today. With all the hype, I was super excited to try. I am not sure if the beans were burnt or something, but it was by far THE worst cup of coffee I’ve ever had. Both me and my friend had to toss it out because we couldn’t bear the taste. It was super metal tasting and absolutely awful! For two people who love coffee this was definitely a disappointment.

Great friendly place to visit! We use them to supply our home bean stocks, but they also offer a large range of drinks to enjoy. They have a great selection of beans from around the world, and are always experimenting with new blends and roasts. Very lucky to have Bent Tree in town.

I just love coming here. Every time I do I receive great service and awesome coffee. I never thought Id become a coffee snob, but because of this place Ive started to, and I mean that in the best of ways! The only thing that could make this place even better was if they had more food for me to grab in the morning. Perhaps a bagel or something? One of the best coffee shops in Ohio and even beats other places in big cities that try and be third-wave. They are very consistent and Ive always had a dialed shot of espresso. You can tell they are all passionate. Their beans are always great and freshly roasted!

A very quaint, cozy space. The coffee selection is fantastic. There is a well-curated Coffee of the Day collection and a variety of espresso, lattes, hot cocoas, cold brews, and nitro coffees. There is also a decent amount of teas. You can buy coffee beans by the pound, fresh roasted in-house. They also sell coffeepots, kettles and other coffee merchandise.

Top notch. Been drinking coffee for 20 years. This is 1 of 2 places I would nationally recognize as being perfect. They have continuously raised the bar in the region. I have travelled all over the United States and rarely found such knowledge and service to match. Im headed to Ohio this morning from Indianapolis and cannot wait to swing by.

Faithful Nation might just be a bigot. The place is fantastic. Some of the best coffee around and don’t get me started on the toast. This person has a problem with Muslim people having the right to use the same establishment as them. If you don’t, then this place is for you. If you do, good luck finding a good covfefe shop.

1/2/2020I have come here a few times every so often when other coffee shops are crowded. This place is suppperrr bougie and does have a very nice atmosphere! Very kind barista and management they pay close attention to detail However; recently I have seen a few flaws. First, they are extremely over priced for the small amount coffee they serve. I have had many vanilla lattes in my life and I am not sure if the beans were burnt or the syrup was bad but its was one of the most fowl drinks Ive ever received. I had to throw it away... Meaning I had wasted around $5.00 plus tip on a drink for nothing. :(1/7/2020After seeing the comments made about my review by the owner I, unfortunately, will be editing my review and instead of giving 3 stars I will be dropping it to a 1 star. As a CUSTOMER to this establishment leaving a fairly kind and genuine review based on the customer service and the product that was given to me. (no bias given and zero incentive from my company) The company owner took it upon themselves to use my place of work as an insult towards me. Trying to make my review look as though it was made on purpose. I simply came here to try the coffee and experience something different. This to me is disrespectful and extremely unprofessional on the owners end. I will not be returning and will not recommend this place to friends and family.

Hands down best espresso around! The syrups are all made in-house, so no nasty chemicals and dyes. There are lots of non-dairy options, so the most high-maintainance peeps (myself included) are satisfied. The baristas are the coolest. The owners are super committed to providing the best coffee out there. Mission accomplished!

I havent actually drank the coffee served there, I buy the beans and drink it at home. I save it for my weekend coffee so I can take the time to truly enjoy it. Id categorize it as ultra-premium. I buy beans from a roaster in Akron for my weekday coffees and thats the best price value for the quality, but the best quality is Bent Tree. You can actually taste distinct differences in the coffee based on how much water you use, so Ive found with their beans that it really is best to do 180ml of water per 10 grams of coffee. Its definitely worth the extra money. I typically dont prefer dark roasts, but even their dark roasts intriguing. Do yourself a favor and buy a bag of anything they roast.

I love Bent Tree. Its my top 5 in the nation - better than a lot of the coffee we have in Portland. Go there and try it out! Their roasts are great, and their brewing is (almost) always spot on!

I buy all my beans here. Im a total coffee nerd and some of their stuff is really great. I sometimes stop in for some french press coffee too, they always have two to choose from on a given day. Pick a light Ethiopian if they have it, especially the adado. Quality place with a friendly staff. Ill keep coming back.

I ordered a catering cambro of coffee and Bent Tree gave me the cambro without charging me extra for it and the price was reasonable. The coffee was great and it stayed hot for almost a whole day. Im hooked on Bent Tree coffee!! My son bought it for me as a gift, and now its the only coffee I drink. The staff was very helpful when I asked about which blend has low acid - Papaua New Guinea Kunjin. Breakfast blend and Autumn blend are also wonderful. Im a subscriber so I dont run out.
