They have all kinds of acrylic paint and the staff is very knowledgeable on everything they carry. Prices are just as good or better than online stores as well
Didnt really know what to expect as I have never been to a hobby store before this. Came in looking for paints & I got that plus a couple of sets that caught my eye. When asking what some products did, the employees went into full detail which was much appreciated. The place was very organized & seemed to have everything one would need depending on the hobby. All around an amazing place!
Hobby town is the best hobby store ever!! Hobby Town sells trains, planes, R/C cars, helicopters, boats, games, puzzles, science stuff, stuffed animals and more. So, come on down to Hobby town!!!!
This is the best hobby store Ive ever been to. Theyve got everything for serious hobbyists. Not that crafting nonsense, were talking RC, Trains, D&D, Giant robot models, and everything related. Plus, the people that work there are experts, like... hobby savant. Id give 10 out of 5 stars if theyd let me.
Great store and good people. Employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. Only downside is lack of inventory at times in the r/c department.
All the guys in the rc department are literally the best. Came into 1/10 rc crawling as a novice and I’ve learned a ton and they don’t judge you for asking what I’d have consider dumb questions. Not going to mention specific names because I’ve talked with most the guys in there and they all are 10/10, not pushy, and very informative.
If you can catch Brandon youll get good service. If your unfortunate to get in contact with Manny beware he has a smart mouth!!!!! Zero customer care.
Im happy to have found a local shop for my new RC hobby! Every time I go there, everyone at the Kennesaw store was friendly and also knowledgeable and helpful. For example, today Manny was awesome diagnosing a motor problem with one of my cars and helping me pick out a new fan to improve on another car. Its my go-to place for parts and future RC cars, thats for sure. You wont find this type of service buying on Amazon. Highly recommended!
This store has been coasting on its reputation for a while. It is not open after dinner so people with jobs cant shop there. Management needs to realize that Hobby Lobby has many of the same things for less money and thus they can no longer be rude and condescending to the customers.
Love the selection. I just wish they still sold dollhouses and had more accessories for the dollhouse.

This place doesn’t give you what you need I needed traxxas rustler 2x4 front shocks and they gave me rear traxxas 4x4 shocks wouldn’t recommend for rc parts instead go to Amazon or somewhere else.
Oh, how Ive roamed the aisles of this store, daydreaming...One of the few tangible pieces of my childhood that I cling to...It is such a wonderfully nostalgic experience for me to come to this store. I remember this store when it opened in Austell, and I remember seeing a movie as a young teenager on a date at the old theater it now occupies. And, I remember meeting one of the men who built the model train display that commands the foyer, from another hobby shop, that closed over a decade (maybe two), ago...A constant in life and, I hope, forever more. I cannot come to this area without taking a slow stroll through this store to see what still exists and what is new. To remember all the hours I toiled on my hobbies as a child and think about all the hours I wish I had as an adult. Certainly, one of the beacons in this World, reminding us of what we can be capable of if we step away from our consoles and reconnect our hands and our minds to tangible, long-lasting creations of reality. Beautiful!!
After spending over 2 grand in the past few weeks at Hobbytown Kennasaw I went in to purchase a gear for my RC and was told that my debt card couldn’t be used unless I purchased more than 5 dollars for the transaction, needless to say I walked out and will never purchase from this store location or online again and will never recommend them to anyone.In response to you’re response appears you can’t read as well as not being able to manage a business, I did not use a credit card it was a debt card, also with that being said it’s illegal to set a minimum transaction with a debt card, also as I stated I had just spent over 2 grand at you’re stand alone store. Hopefully there will be a management change here soon!
It is quite hard to get them when they have a big stock of Gundam models, but when they do, their selection is generally really good
This place is the best place in the area for hobbies! Plastic models, trains, RC, role playing D&D style gaming and cards, stickers, souvenirs ect. Very friendly and knowledgable staff and a great Vast selection of each. Id give them 6 stars if I could. Good fair prices to.

This store has everything youre looking for including knowledgeable staff. My son was able to get plenty of information on his rc truck. I found plenty of collectible die cast as well as Metal Earth kits.

+I love this store! But I have to say they are falling down on me. Lately when Ive gone they have nothing new for me. Maybe they dont make enough to keep stocked with new drones and parts and such. But you make absolutely nothing when you have nothing I need. Hopefully the next I drive for over an hour + to come back to my very favorite place in the world they might have some new BNF drones!!! Building one on my own today. Going to need a couple things to finish. So Ill be coming back soon!
Worst place to buy a RC car. They give you the run around and refuse to help you if the car is defective. Return policy and warranty is horrible. Save yourself the trouble and buy online or amazon. I usually like to support small businesses but this one is a joke.
My first time in this store the store was clean and honestly a hobbyist dream kinda like a kid in a candy store.The employees were available and helpful several of them had info and skills for what the many different hobby areas they had.Prices were fair for a pick up in-store and the atmosphere of the store was great. Some of the items were hard to find a price for but just a look around the area or at the product you would find the barcode and price tag.

Sold me a truck that they dont carry parts for. so when it breaks im just sol. never have any parts for the truck in ever. have to order and wait 1+ month.
I wont be back to stand in line for an hour outside waiting to get in and then have to stand in line again to enter the RC room, then for them not to accept cash... I can get everything I want from Amazon...Edit:Vast majority? lol, youre store is the only one where Ive experienced this. The local home Depot did that for a few weeks but, now is back to normal... Walmart, Kroger, Publix, Lowes, Home Depot, Kohls, Sams Club, Acadamy Sports, JC Penny, Target, and the many convenience stores / gas stations Ive been to, none of them follow this silly policy. But whatever makes you feel better.
Their game room is fantastic. Their terrain setups are mind blowing and their dice selection is top notch.
Hobby Town has a great selection of plastic model kits, gundam models, metal earth models, and dungeon & dragons miniature. It also has a lot of paint supplies, etc.All the staff are very knowledgeable and go above and beyond to assist you and make sure you have everything you need to make your model. This isnt just the supplies but advice on how to paint or glue etc. Also has a knowledgeable staff specifically for rc cars and planes as well as table top area for gamers to congregate and play. Lots of toys for kids and slot cars and a lot of puzzles and model rockets and model train sets and supplies.Burt and Kevin always willing to help and have gone the extra mile making sure I got the best and not just try to sell me the most expensive stuff.I probably spend way too much time and money here! 😀
Super cool store all kinda of hobby supplies & plenty of good help to guide you!OK what a crazy contrast on April 4th around 1pm Had a poor experience @ Hobby Town with the one of the guys in the RC department drones & drone parts to be specific. Totally unhelpful. I mean didnt even try to offer any help. It was like nope we dont have that. No I have any ideas on where you might find it. Ya know I like to keep my business local if possible but with staff like that I understand why so many people do business online. I got four words pisx poor customer service went from 5 STARS to only one small star.
The manager I just interacted with could not have been worse at customer service! I bought some Pokemon cards here for a Christmas gift and decided to return them. I specifically asked about the return policy when I bought them, which I was told was 30 days, but would be extended for the holidays.So the girl at the counter (who could not have been more kind) said a manager would have to approve the return. Ok, fine. The manager waddles out, looks them over and barks, We dont return cards, but Ill accept it this time. I kindly told him I asked about the return policy when I bought them, but he rudely interrupted me and said WE DONT RETURN THEM, IT SAYS SO ON THE BOTTOM OF THE RECEIPT. Guess what? It doesnt. And he waddled back into the abyss.Horrible customer service. He should be fired and the girl I interacted with first should get a raise and take his place. I wont be back and its a shame because Im into a lot of the niche products they carry.

I ordered a part that seemed to be in stock for pick up. The website said wait for the part to be pulled before going to pick up. I waited until it got close to store closing. I went in and the associate reached out behind him and grabbed the part. Why they didnt pull the order? Why wasnt I notified? Ordered another part today at 3:00 pm. Never received notification that my part was ready! This doesnt make any sense....Ok so you dont have any staff to pull online orders? Its pretty safe to say that if you place in stock order you will not get it pulled! I guess this place relies on foot traffic. Even though we have a virus messing up everyones business! Ive read other upset reviews and the owner always follows by saying You can always place a online order and we will walk it out to you Come on man your associates cant even pull the orders that are placed on line! Maybe tomorrow my order will be pulled and maybe Ill drive the hour drive from Villa Rica Ga. All I can say is Wow this place must be rolling with customers! They sure are not worried about losing the loyal old ones!

Went there based on a coupon, got to the checkout and seemed to be interrupting the checkout girls chat by trying buy something. The liar on checkout said it could only be used on certain items. I rechecked the ad and it says ANY product. No terms and conditions, no have to sign up for a membership wording.Escalated it to a guy Kevin Westphal who then gave BS about having to sign up as a member. Take a look at the add for yourself. Shame as the enthusiast staff were great. Checkout staffed by disinterested morons.

Horrible experience today with the RC department. We have purchased multiple rc’s from them, and endless parts just over the past couple of years. Your return policy isnt worth the paper its printed on, and some of your employees need to take a class in customer service. Ive spent a ton if money with you guys, and was basically told you couldnt take a $5 part back on exchange. Ill order parts on line before I ever set foot back in your store again.
Wonder why you lose business to internet retailers? Ill tell ya, Im not gonna be forced to wear a mask in your store while trying to support your business and other local businesses. Ill just order my rc related stuff from Amazon and other internet retailers. :)

Literally went out of my way to drive to hobby town to buy the overpriced hobby supplies I needed locally instead of ordering then online for CHEAPER and was greeted by the rudest employees I have ever incountered in 20+ years of buying from hobby stores.If you need Hobby supplies I suggest you order them online like I will be from now on. Guess thats what I get for trying to pay extra to keep the brick and mortar hobby stores open.

Very excellent store. Full of many great hobbies and all-around amazing things. The staff is very friendly and very familiar with the store. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Many great gifts for just about any occasion. The store is clean and tidy and the bathrooms are alright too. Very fun store even if you dont intend to get anything. Its kidd friendly too with a nice train table.

My grandson got a kit RC car from Hobbytown for his birthday and there were some issues from the build that were beyond our experience level.We went back to the store and they turned us over to Manny. He was fantastic. He not only pointed out why things weren’t working but also fixed them. He then checked other things out and tuned the settings. He spent over an hour helping us.I love Hobbytown and the service there is outstanding.

Best Hobby Store in Georgia for sure. This is the place for model kits. Scratch building and detailing items abound. There is a very good chance you will find that model kit that you thought you wouldnt find or never thought would be in model form. Prices are competitive, especially considering shipping costs.
