We had purchased it, as is, out of desperation a few years ago in another state. Live got the best of us and we didn’t have it checked out or maintained as well as we should have. We knew a few major issues were looming and then our serpentine belt frayed! We were in a mess with it being our only car, kids to get back and forth and a husband working to get on a transplant list. I was able to call Otto’s at almost closing, they walked me through how to get the van to them. Every single call they made to us was easy to understand and honest. Never once did I feel raked over the coals or pressured. They are the most down to earth honest people. We will forever be customers. Thank you!!!

Great work! Really felt they looked out for me to make sure all repairs were necessary and for my safety. Awesome communication with keeping me updated on progress with repairs and if there were any delays too. They even did some repairs complimentary and gave me a discount too! You can feel cautious at times when taking your car to a new mechanic, but not here. Definitely trust them!

Took my car there to replace the power steering rack and timing belt. after getting the car back, it turned out that they had installed a bad rack, but replaced it for me free of charge! Very professional and will take my car back if I need more work done!

Otto Service only works on Hondas, Acuras, and Toyotas. I have been a customer over 15 years. Their work is incapable. Employees are very professional. I never mind paying for excellent quality service.

So I went in to get other inspection done my truck as I walk in . No greeting.. I tell the guy that I need he say no we can do inspection until 2 weeks from today he ask what vehicle I tell him On a 06 Range Rover he look at me and say NO WE NOT DOING INSPECTION ON THAT CAR WE ONLY SPECIALIZE ON HONDA AND ACCRA AND SOME OTHER VEHICLES I didnt car about I stated to him oh to bad they have done my inspections before and when you do inspection on vehicles it doesnt matter what type of vehicle it is he keep going on to say he new to me everyone uses that line .I ask where was the boss he look and say oh about to go to lunch when he was setting right behind the wall, he not knowing I take my Honda there for service.. we I referred anyone to Otto service No I will not ..

As a single gal with very little car knowledge, I was referred to Otto Service by a friend who has been their customer for years. Even though Im a fairly new customer, Im totally confident with taking my Lexus to this family owned and operated business. They are professional, honest and accommodating. I was provided with a loaner car while they had mine all day so my schedule was uninterrupted. The price was fair, especially compared to what a dealership would have charged. I plan to have them help me keep my ride running smoothly for years!

Ive been using Otto Service for my Honda and Toyota service and repairs for several years. Everything from timing belts to oil changes. Every time I go in I get great customer service and repairs done at a fair price. They use only genuine Honda/Toyota parts that carry a longer warranty and will last much longer. My 2002 Honda Odyssey with over 200,000 miles wont be taken anywhere else.

Was driving home when my check engine light and traction control system light came on, and the engine declined to rev above 2500 rpm. After a slower than normal trip, I plugged in my bluetooth OBDII scanner and learned that the VTEC switch was bad.Dropped the car off, got it back the next day with a new VTEC switch installed. Was a bit sad about being charged $75 for a diagnosis that I had already made with a $15 scan tool and five minutes on Google. The markup on the new part was also more than I expected.Two weeks later, the check engine light and traction control system light came on, just as before. I called the shop, and less than an hour later was driving a loaner. The next day, I picked up my car with a replacement for the first replacement, and a bill for $0.00.Maybe not the cheapest option sometimes, but IMHO worth every penny. They fixed it right the first time. The new part failed, as new parts sometimes do. They stand behind their work 100%. I still have 23 months left on the warranty for this job.

My daughter had blown the engine in her car and Ottos service was incredible. From the moment I called them, the explained my options. Once they got the car, they did a thorough analysis and determined the engine needed replace. The replace the engine and did completed it on time and at a very reasonable price. If you have a Honda, you would be crazy to take your car back to dealer or any place else. They are first class and I will continue to use them for all my Honda service needs.

Took my car to Otto Service for a engine light on. I had already ran computer check on it. So I already knew the problem. so I called for a price. They told me the price over the phone.142.20$ I agreed and took the car there that same day. They explained that sometimes it could be a wire problem. 1 hour after I dropped it off they called and said it was done and that something had just came unpluged.I asked what I owed them for checking it out? They told me free of charge. I was ecstatic! These guys are honest and treat a customer the way every business should. Would highly recommend Otto Service! These guys are great!

We had an amazing experience with Otto Service of Kansas City. With several small issues and an upcoming minor-major issue with our older Honda CR-V, the Otto team helped list out what priority of repairs and we never felt pressured at any time to do it all or do it all at once. We were on the fence about purchasing a new car within the year anyways, and this ultimately helped us decide what to fix up in order to trade it in for another CR-V. The entire Otto Family was very helpful, kind and hoping we wont have to bring our new cr-v in anytime soon, BUT if we need servicing we will definitely head back. I highly recommend them and the way the conduct their business and support the community as a whole as well. Check them out, their a top notch crew!!

Local, family owned auto repair shop. They’re attentive and work with you to diagnose any potential issues. I appreciate the promotional discounts they mail out, although it would be nice to save some trees and receive the coupons via email. Maybe that’s already an option? I prefer to go here over the dealership.

We have been taking our 3 Hondas to Ottos for years. After a lot of money being spent at the dealerships we decided to seek out an independent repair service. Ottos has fair pricing, does quality work, car is promised on time and everyone is friendly and knowledgeable.

They gave me an estimate of what it would cost and when they found something else they asked me if I wanted the work done. They gave me the additional price and it was reasonable. They had my car ready in good time and were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend them to all my friends. I used to take my car to the Honda dealership and they charge quite a bit more and always want me to leave the car.

Let me start off with a big thanks to this shop, Im new to Kansas city, no family or anyone to help me get around. Usually I work on my own cars but being new to this city I quite dont have all the neccacarary tools to perform certain jobs. My timing belt tensioner went out and I was very scared since I knew this was one of those jobs I would not be able to perform my self due to lack of certain tools. I started googling shops close to my house since I did not want to drive my truck far due to fear of my belt slipping. I called Otto for a quick quote and was amazed by the outstanding customer service they have. They were very polite and able to answer all my questions that I had. Out of all the local shops I called I felt very comfortable with them so I decided to give Otto a shot. Its important to have my car running everyday since my daily commute to work is about 30 minutes. I took it in for a timing kit job early Tuesday and it was ready that very same day. I am very pleased with their work and will be returning in the future for more service. Thanks for keeping my pilot running. So happy to find this gem so close to my house!!!!! I have taken my vehicles to this auto shop for several years. They have always been really honest with work needed and cost of service. They are great at communicating while doing work on any vehicle. I have never had any issue with work theyve done on my cars. I would highly recommend this auto shop for their honesty & integrity & ability to get the job done.

I have been a customer here for probably 30 years. Recently I noticed a whining noise in my 08 Tacoma and took it to a local Toyota dealer for an evaluation. I was told I needed a repair costing $3,000! Since Otto Service now services Toyota vehicles, I took it there for a second opinion. It was repaired the next day and the total bill was just over $1,000! that included a few extra items I had done. My experience with Otto Service has always been positive. They are knowledgeable, and very honest. The Toyota dealer wont be seeing me any time soon!

Otto Service was very helpful when my car had major issues. They provided a full diagnostic and let me know everything that needed to be fixed. My car is running great now and I will go back if any problems arrive in the future.

They tried to sell me $6000 worth of maintenance items after they gouged me 700 dollars for an alternator. $6000 of repairs on a $2000 minivan. thats so dumb. alternator works fine. Ive been driving the car for another 8 months and no problems. $6000 lol.

KINGS OF THE UP CHARGEHonestly after reading a few of these posts I am thoroughly convinced some of these are fake, because my experience was completely horrible. I have a 1992 Honda accord that needed the rear motor mount replaced and A/C repair. After dropping the car off and filling out paper work concerning my issue. Cody a representative called and told me that in addition to fixing the rear motor mount and A/C, he found several other problems that needed to be fixed. Ok fine. The cost he said would be over $2,000 dollars, well I told him that the car was purchased for only $650 dollars and that I couldn’t see spending that much money. So it was agreed, so I thought that no more than $1,000 dollars of work would be done including the REAR MOTOR MOUNT. This is where the communication went south. I believe Cody was so eager in getting every single dime that he thought the REAR MOTOR MOUNT!!! was a minor issue or he forgot. I found this out when I inspected the car, which I recommend everyone do, DON’T PAY BEFORE YOU INSPECT. Why, because we all work hard for our money.The real problem quickly came when he said that it would cost additional $614 dollars to fix. I suggested since they forgot to fix the motor mount that they eat half the cost, Why not make them pay all the cost? Well sometime it’s easier to try and work things out. I thought this was more than fair. Unfortunately they didn’t. At this point since Cody and his supervisor Andrew weren’t going to work with me I suggested they let the owner know what was going on, so I left the car there over the weekend which by the way I had planned to drive to Mexico Missouri to visit family. Long story short they later called that same day and agreed to fix the rear motor mount, which they did that following Tuesday. I would like to add that the story still didn’t end well I paid over $1300 dollars and my rear motor mount they allegedly fixed makes a clanking sound when engine engages from park to drive or to reverse. So am I happy. NO!! Will I bring my car back again? NO!!

I could not believe the great price they gave me for a new muffler and pipe. That was about a month ago, and everything runs great! Very friendly, amazingly fast, very polite.

I am a female college student that Cody tried to take advantage of. I asked him could he give me a price range of how much it would cost to replace a starter on a 2012 Honda Civic. He told me that he would not give me an estimate over the phone because whoever previously diagnosed the problem is, “human and could make mistakes on the diagnoses.” I’d previously heard great reviews so I ignored his comment and had my car towed there. Once they “confirmed” it was a starter (which I previously told him it was) problem he charged me $57.50. His attitude was so rude that I was not willing to pay $785.63 for them to replace the starter. It’s really disappointing that my dad has taken cars here before and they never gave him any problems. I feel like because I did not bring my father with me this time that, that is the reason Cody felt he could get over on me.

I got my Acura serviced a few months ago after my electric power steering went out. It was an unexpected pricey repair, but I felt relieved paying a better price than what the dealership quoted me. The service was great and I got my car in and out fast! I would return for other services!

Im sure they are very good at what they do here, but my wife had a bad experience here last week. She had car in for an oil lube and rear brake job estimate. They tried to sell us an extra 1500 worth of services that were unnecessary. Id like to believe the person that inspected was just inexperienced and I certainly hope that was the case - a follow up inspection later revealed that additional 1500 work was not necessary and was somewhat exaggerated.

If you knew you were to booked on Monday what was the purpose of scheduling me on Monday?

Otto service has been incredibly personable, friendly, and helpful. (Not to mention patient with my 5 million questions) As of recent I have been hunting for a good honda/Acura to buy from the savings Ive put together for a new car. I brought in a civic from Craigslist before buying it, the seller told me it had no issues, Otto service looked it over, and gave me a huge list of major issues it needed! Im definitely thankful for the in depth inspection that saved me a few grand. Awhile later I found an Acura RSX, and they have been most helpful in giving me tips, pointers, and solid advice on how to handle fixing her up. These guys really know their Hondas, Id say they are THE place to go for reliable Honda/acura service.

Alan, Andrew, James and guys are now servicing my sixth Honda! We currently have three Hondas in the family. I wouldnt take my cars any where else.
