I had the pleasure of speaking to Dustin, the owner, when I called frantically looking for a place to inspect a car I was leaving town with the very next day. He squeezed us in on a busy Saturday and was gracious enough to answer all of my questions with brutal honesty and no bs answers, which I GREATLY appreciated and helped ease my anxiety!He was genuine and helpful and I don’t know very many mechanics that would have done all that when every other place I called was too busy.Thank you Dustin for the excellent customer service and for taking the time to inspect the car! Its never a great feeling to have to deal with a vehicle not working correctly. But if your vehicle is having issues, this is a great place to bring it in if it needs repairs or maintenance. The staff is friendly, helpful, and they know their stuff. They treat their customers well and you can trust them to provide excellent service on your vehicle. I thought it was odd that when I picked up my car, I was told oh didnt think youd be here this soon, turns out, despite being changed for it, the oil was not changed. Something didnt feel right so the next week I took my car to the dealer for another repair, where I was told the oil needed to be changed. When I saw the filter was the old brand, I knew it was not the dealer who screwed up. I had brought my car into NOCC for a battery drainage issue and oil change. Because I was told the battery I purchased the night before supposedly tested bad and should buy a new one because you cant trust Costco, I already had misgivings. It was another issue for which I was grateful that they solved but after either poor or dishonest service, I am very sorry that I didnt find a trustworthy place we can take our cars

Stopped in to get a tire leak fixed, brakes checked, and tires rotated. Only took about an hour. They had a computer issue and accidentally changed my oil too but didnt charge for it even after I offered to pay for the oil. Will be using them again! Very friendly, priced fairly, and scheduling was easy and quick. $75 dollars for repair and brake check is good in my book.

Had a blowout day before I was headed out of town and needed a set of tires the next day. Dustin went to work and came through for me with an amazing set of tires for a great price! I was done in plenty of time to hit the road. Ive known Dustin, Dale and most of the rest of the crew since 1996 and they are the best group of guys in the business.

Went there to have my gas tank repaired.North Oak Car Care charged me $1.500.00 dollars for a gas tank..After all was done they had it 5 or 6 weeks.The total charge was $2,242.18 dollars..WOW What a rip off place...please stay away....will turn them into BBB.

I have a brand new 2020 Range Rover. One tire kept showing on the sensor it was losing air. My husband made an appointment and arrived to hear the good news it was only a nail, so no new tire necessary. Only to find out that the sensor wouldn’t go off, hence they DIDNT fill the tire up and had to go fill it up. Then after hearing movement from the back of my suv I went and looked and they left the trunk floor covers off and all the tools that were used spread out. Now finding out the floor cover won’t even go on correctly now. I own two businesses myself and this is pretty tacky. I hope whoever fixed the repairs changes their customer service skills. We will NOT be going back

Dale and Dustin consistently provide excellent service! My husband and I highly recommend them and will not take our cars anywhere else now. Not only do they take great care of all your car needs but they are also personable, professional and provide outstanding customer service. I only wish we had found them sooner! Was about to get my car serviced, had two ladies in their 70s aheaf of me. One in a scooter OBVIOUSLY at risk. Both wearing masks. Because of COVID. The staff however not wearing masks without social distance in while ringing up customers or when in their cars.Guess these ladies health and lives mean nothing as long as the company gets its cash

This happens to be the BEST car care place in the KC Area. Very affordable! My daily driver is a Ford (Fix Or Repair Daily) and these guys had the skill to fix all issue within a short and reasonable amount of time. Kyle (Young guy at the front desk) will share cookies with you while you wait! Several opportunities for reduced oil changes/services with a money wheel. These guys are really about the people and I will not take my car(s) anywhere else. Keep up the great work guys!

Good to know that there are honest mechanics out there.

I took my car to have my oil changed and tires rotated, and the price differed from what I was told before I left. I was under the impression the oil change I was paying for was $30-$35 but I was charged for two different services instead. The attendant working the desk was absolutely not clear with what I was paying for. During the transition from Hunts to North Oak Auto Care, I purchased new tires for my car and I was told that I would get a free tire rotation with any service visit, even after the transition to new owners. When I dropped off my car I explained this to the attendant, and he said Sure thats fine and I was still charged for it. I called up after I got home with the receipt because I was confused about the charge, and the person on the phone told me they never said they would do that.I am very disappointed. I was charged 3 times more than what I expected. I currently live in Minneapolis Minnesota, my parents live in Kansas City and I used to always come to Hunts to have my oil changed and tires rotated, and never had a problem with this ever. I will be looking for a new place in Minneapolis when I return. It is also disappointing because I feel like I used to really be able to trust these guys.I cannot recommend using North Oak Car Care for any service, I do not believe they are honest.

North Oak Car Care is quite possibly one of the best mechanic shops I’ve ever been to. The entire crew is upstanding and have amazing customer service skills. I’ve gone to North Oak Car Care for several issues I’ve had on my Acura, and they’ve been able to fix it. I plan to go there for even my simplest needs such as inspections and oil changes. Dont waste your time take your vehicle to Christian brothers on Barry rd or house of lube on vivion rd... . For the same job they wanted 1020 $ Christian brothers charged 380. On top of that they charge you 50 to get your keys back because u didnt want to spend more then what the vehicle is worth. Unbelievable i live across the street thought i would be able to make it convenient. Just drive the extra 5 miles and save more then half the price. Nevrr will i step back into that place. Oh by the way I work in the auto business. Businesses do free inspections everyday they dont disclose that to you until you run away with your wallet .

Every time I take my car, the prices are lower than most other shops, they get my car back to me rapidly, they communicate with me at each step along the way, And they are pleasant to work with.

It was a bad experience for me. They seemed good at first, but in the end I felt ripped off by strange charges for work that they did not perform. I also a received a diagnosis that I know for a fact to be false. They blamed me for everything. I think they could be good for some people, but for me, I just regret ever taking my car to them.

I brought my car here after another shop wanted to charge me almost $800 for rear brakes and rotors! They were very friendly and nice and the price was right. I dropped my car off and it was ready the next day. I met the owner who was very friendly and pleasant. I will gladly have them service my car in the future.

Not only did they fix my car, but they treat their customers like gold. These guys will take care of you! I have never been to a shop where I felt so welcome and trusted my vehicle to strangers. Dale, Kyle and Dustin are stand up guys. I am sure the others are, as well, those are just the few I had the pleasure of meeting. I will be back for all of my car care needs. Guys like this will make you a customer for life.

The service at North Oak Care Care was outstanding. Long story short, I had a nail in my tire that couldnt be fixed and needed two new tires and the guys here took care of me.Right when I walked in the door Kyle greeted me and made me feel welcomed. He checked me in quickly, and I didnt have to wait long to have my car pulled in. After looking at my tire, Dale took the time to show and explain to me how you fix a tire leak and why my tire couldnt be fixed. He patiently answered all of my questions, and told me to call and ask if I thought of anything else. Dustin, the store owner, went above and beyond when working with me. He took the time to check with several places to help find my tires at the cheapest price possible. He picked up every phone call and answered every question without rushing me, or making me feel like I was wasting his time. The service team got the work done quickly, and I havent had trouble with the car since.If youre looking for great quality service, a team that cares and truly wants whats best for their customers, and honesty instead of price gouging go to North Oak Car Care. You will not be disappointed in the service here.

It’s hard to put into words how I feel about this place but I’ll give it a go. I have been a loyal customer through the years for one reason and one reason alone. They have made me feel like family…..They don’t push, they recommend. They don’t overprice / over quote like most shops do and they work with you when finances are an issue when something needs to be fixed but you don’t have the funds, they even fight for you when dealing with outside vendor parts and prices to lower your cost. (Really who does that?) They follow up with you to ensure everything is good and they truly make you feel like they care and it’s because they do and it’s not just to keep your business, these guys from the owner down are simply put frekin awesome. I’m a father of 4 and a husband with 4 vehicles that go in, anything from an oil changes, tires, to an engine being taken out and rebuilt due to manufactures defect issues. I’ve learned from the past, the dealerships are not concerned with what you need, their only there to cover the defects to avoid future law suits and charge you for their errors. This is the best auto repair shop I have ever encountered. Dustin, Dale, and Kyle are the most honest and knowledgable people in the business. They treat you like family and have excellent prices. As a women with limited car knowledge, I have had several bad experiences at other places. For example, North Oak Car Care identified that my car battery needed to be replaced after my check engine light went on. They encouraged me to return to the auto shop where I originally purchased my battery since it was under warranty. I returned to the auto shop where I originally purchased my battery and they told me my battery was fine and they werent replacing it. A week later I was left stranded with a dead battery. Thats just one example of why I trust North Oak Car Care over other auto repair shops. I am so happy that I have finally found a trustworthy shop to help care for my car that carries around my most precious cargo, my family.

I have been having my vehicle serviced and worked on here for about a year now, and the current owners have been helpful, honest, and trustworthy. The gentlemen here genuinely care about their customers and have gone above and beyond to make sure my vehicle was serviced correctly. I just picked my car up from here and I had a great experience! The dealership (Mazda) wanted to charge way more for the same services. These guys were in touch with me throughout the day letting me know what was wrong with my car, what wasn’t something to be concerned about vs what was and explained it in a way that I could understand it. It felt honest and I didn’t feel like they were just trying to take my money. They were super nice too!! Go see these guys, there are where I’ll go from now on for my car repair needs!

My husband recently walked a tire up to the gas station from our home. There was no air so he went to Hunts. They were so nice and helped my husband patch and air up the tire for free. He even gave him a ride home! We later went back up and paid for a good fix on the tire. They were informative and honest. I will always go to Hunts. They have earned a customer.

Awesome! I thought I was having troubles with my front end suspension and set up an appointment. They checked everything over and found no isssues. They called to tell me and only charged a very simple service fee. They are very honest as they could have charged me for anything and I wouldve paid it thinking it would be fixed but they did not do this. I will be bringing my vehicle here far more often knowing they are honest people.I would highly recommend their service.

I have been going to North Oak Car Care for a few years now, when it was Hunts Car Care and now North Oak Car Care. I have always been very pleased with the service and friendliness of the staff. The new owner was very appreciative of my business and was very informative. They showed me the issues on the car instead of just telling me about it, which I appreciate. I have taken my car here for almost 2 years and have seen ownership change hands twice. The current owner, Dustin, is, by far, the best Ive seen. Hes down-to-earth, honest, and truly seems to care about helping his customers. His office manager, Kyle, is excellent. As for the mechanics, Ive only worked with Dale. Hes very experienced, knowledgeable and friendly. All three gentlemen always talked to me in a professional, friendly manner. My experience has been great since my granddaughter pointed to this location, North Oak Car Care. I recently moved to Kansas City a couple of months ago so when you need car repairs it is very important in your choices. I chose North Oak Car Center. My first visit I met the owner Dustin and Steve. I was told by another mechanic about my brakes and I had to trust them all. I must say they did a great job. And I had to go back for tires to be replace and they again did a great job. Even on my first visit I was given a choice of the tires they provided and the cost. I didn’t feel pushed but advised and I like that. As a first time customer and new to the city I will always recommend there work. Great job team😃

Took my car in for an oil change. It had been a while since I had this done. Was told that I probably needed an additive since it was so long since I had my car serviced. Picked up my car and was told that the additive wasnt necessary. What a pleasant surprise!Brandon Ebert is honest! The staff here is amazing. Our battery died unexpectedly the evening before Thanksgiving on our way out of town. The owner walked out to where our car was stopped, jumped the battery, then he and his staff stayed past closing to install a new battery. Amazing! So grateful for their willingness to help a family out. Would definitely recommend!

BEST SHOP EVER!!!If i could give this shop more stars I would in a heart beat! I have a 30 year old car, I came in without an appointment and talked about ordering the part and they got the part HOURS LATER the same day and i was able to leave my car with them and got it back in LESS than 24 hours. They nicely took down the hours of labor for me to what they actually worked on my car instead of charging me the full recommended labor hours to make it cheaper! They really care for their customers and want to help you as much as possible 500/5 star rating. WILL BE BACK FOR ANY CAR PROBLENS!!

Three stars is the best I can give the new crew running the place. The old Hunts crew was great! These guys have some work to do.I was told I needed a new serpentine belt and gaskets were leaking oil. I went to two other very respectable shops, neither found an issue.The customer service level is good and its a conveniently located place, but I dont know. This first experience with the new crew kind of let me down.

Amazing above and beyond customer service!I came in completely distressed at 5:55pm with car troubles not realizing the shop actually closed at 6, however I was not turned away. Brandon and another gentlemen did as much as they could to get me back on the road safely as I had a 30-40 minute journey home to Leavenworth. Brandon apologized for not being able to complete the job in its entirety as it was so late in the day and he did not have the last part I needed, but he graciously wrote up what he had done and what else needed to be done so I could take to my local shop to get the last repair completed (of course he did offer for me to come back and the only thing that stopped me was distance). I cannot thank them enough for taking care of me. I will highly recommend this shop to everyone I know.

I went to Hunts because one of my annoying warning lights came on, plus I needed an oil change. I had never been there but I went because they said they could get me in and out same day and my usual guy was busy. They ran a diagnostic and got me all fixed up inside of an hour! There were no bizarre charges or extra fees some of the National places I go like to tack on. I loved that it was a mom and pop type establishment! They even gave the kids a treat and made us feel like they cared about our business. I will definitely return ( hopefully I wont need to too soon, though!) awesome customer service. Highly recommend!

I took my truck in for a inspection and told me my upper ball joints were lose. I replaced them and there wasnt anything wrong with them. As I pulled out of the parking lot my truck was steering funny. I drove 100 miles on the highway with my truck in four wheel drive. They left it in four wheel drive and told me it was in four wheel drive when it came in. Well i think i would know if i was the one that put it in four high. i wouldnt take my truck there if i was broke down in their parking lot.

These guys are really helpful. They were able to fix my golf cart tire in just a few minutes.

Dustin and his team have worked on my BMW and my daughters Toyota. They are very friendly, really good at diagnostics and responsive if something isnt exactly right. My sense is they dont recommend a more expensive solution when a less expensive solution will work. Will continue go use NOCC.

I called and was immediately told that they could get me in when 4 other shops said they couldnt. Drove in and Steve came out and met me in the parking lot!! Got my truck right in a bay. I dont recommend this place for check engine light.They diagnosed my check engine light thrice but could’t fix.I have been charged over $800.00.For the fourth time also they diagnosed the same problem which they diagnosed for the second time.They charged me $221.00 for purge cansister solenoid for my car which U can get in the O’Railey for $130.00.Really upset.

Mounted and balanced 4 tires on my SUV as a walk-in and had me out in 35 minutes.

I was having problems with my steering/tires after a road trip. Came in early Saturday morning and met the new owner, Dustin. He could see how tired I was and took it upon himself to drive my car into the bay and diagnose it immediately so I could go home and get some sleep. Turned out I needed new tires so he ordered them for Monday. When I came back he remembered me by name and saw me ordering an Uber to get back home to sleep off an overnight shift. Not only did he offer to give me a ride home but also said he could rush my car in and be done changing the tires in 20 minutes. I was very impressed with NOCCs efficiency as well as stellar customer service. I will most definitely be returning to see Dustin and his crew.
