My son brought his car in for problems he was having. They charged $200 for diagnostic services, which I thought was high. When I told them that, they said go ahead and get a competing diagnostic charge, and well work with you. We did, and found a diagnostic charge that was $110 at Brookside Rx. They dug in their heels and did not work with us on the diagnostic charge. My experience is that young people, and my wife, get taken advantage of at auto repair places. This place is no exception. I do not recommend them.(RESPONSE TO THEIR RESPONSE below)A Brookside 66 employee told me he would work with me if I found the same service to be less at another service center. I found a diagnostic fee that was significantly less, and you would not work with me/my son. This is a matter of integrity. After reading other reviews, it appears I am not alone.That said, the work being done to fix the car at a very reputable garage is less than half of what your quote was.Integrity + Way too expensive + Customer Service (condescension) = Not going to you guys, nor will I recommend you.

I was absolutely impressed with their customer service. I was in a huge bind and Jeff and his team really came through for me. The only complaint I seem to have is that the cost seemed the cost was high, but Jeff explained that their service is covered by a warranty under NAPA auto nation Wide. If I were to ever get stuck in KC, I definitely be looking them up. Thank you Jeff. I appreciate your help, and the customer service.

My car broke down and I was able to push it to Brookside 66. It was after hours and I had to block their garage door. They were so kind and didnt mind at all. They fixed the serpentine belt by 9am.

I took my car here and they were going to charge me thousands of dollars for parts that did not even need fixed. When they gave me the quote, i was obviously in distress, and there was no empathy. So grateful that i took my car to get a second opinion. instead of spending over $2500 here, i only spent about $300 on the NECESSARY parts elsewhere. Also, after reviewing what they were going to charge me for, there were things listed that i was not even told about. Would not recommend unless you got a pocket full of mula.

I brought my car in for a used car inspection as I had just purchased it at Carmax. When I picked up my car they had a laundry list of repairs, specifically they wanted to flush my brake, transmission, and power steering fluid and quoted me almost $1K for the service. When I pressed the owner why this needed to be done he eventually said that it was because of the mileage of the car and admitted he never actually checked any of the fluid. I got another opinion at a different mechanic shop and they actually checked what they said they would and all the fluids were fine. Ill never take my car here again.

I’ve been a customer of David’s for over 30 years and will continue because of his honesty. And I believe his staff at the station is following his example. They’ve always been very straightforward, listing the things that need to be done, and the recommended order I should do them. And he saved me money several times telling me about stuff that should be covered by warranty.

Greg was very professional and knowledgeable! He helped me fill my car with coolant and thoroughly checked my oil levels and other needs without me having to ask.

These guys fixed my Lincoln. Wasnt cheap but they do it right and all work is guaranteed.

I have had several repairs performed here and have always been happy with service. The employees are both friendly and upfront about what needs to be done on my car versus what is optional. I thoroughly trust the staff here and highly recommend this service station.

The guy at the counter was super friendly. I needed my tires rotated and an oil change. Both things were done quickly. Oh and I also got some gas. Id definitely go back!

I came in right at closing time, but Greg still was kind enough to help me anyway fill my coolant fluid and top off my window washing fluid. I will definitely be coming backbreaking often since I also have a brookside business. I will be supporting other Brookside Businesses.

I would give them zero stars if possible. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO GET SERVICED HERE! NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE YOU ARE! Their follow-through, quality of work and timeless are all horrifically poor. We have given them our business twice over the past 3 years, under different management bc they are a local business vs giving it to costco or our car dealerships Lexus/ Audi. DO NOT DO THAT! they are late on having the car ready when promised 1-2 days. And their workmanship is poor. I had my tires changed and the car came back with an alignment issue - which it never had before. they dont take appointments and even when a problem is their fault, they do not prioritize your car. They also do not have many qualified technicians. NET-NET - DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE TO BE SERVICED. YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Ive had a lot of work done here, but every time I went it was so expensive, and I felt like I was being ripped off. After trying some other places, I found out I was paying at least double what it should have cost. So if you want honest and affordable service, look elsewhere. I recommend Perkins Automotive Service - very affordable and great people.

Had a flat tire that needed to be aired. He aired it up. To fixed it I would have had taken to long so I went somewhere else for the repair.

Watch out. convenient but expensive (200$ for battery replacement). And an odd thing happened with this group: I took my car here to have the battery replaced and was asked right away if I wanted new tires put on. Said no thanks, paid for the battery and drove home. Next day, all of a sudden my front tire is completely flat. Hmmm. Odd. Brought it in, they took out the nail but wouldnt patch it. Said all 4 tires were cracked (would have had to take off all 4 tires to know that) and worn down and should be replaced. Showed a picture of my tires to a mechanic friend who said the tread on my tires looked fine, dont get new ones. Got one new wheel and high tailed it out of there. Wont be back.

I needed an inspection. They got me right in, fixed a bulb that had gone out, and I was out of there in 30 minutes. Everyone I talked to or interacted with was very nice, and they didn’t overcharge me for the minor repair.I’ll go back.

Still have full service but gas here higher than other stations. Staff makes you feel like helping is an inconvenience to them. Will check fluids for additional $$. Guess Blue Building ladies like

Go to any other place for oil change and tire rotation. They are over priced, and try to add parts on that you didn’t ask or want. $85 for oil and tire rotation. Do yourself a favor and go to Walmart, Jiffy Lube, Big O’l Tires. Anywhere but here. Very upset customer, and will never return.

During summer months they often have sweepstakes cards. Often at different locations, they never have any. Why offer promo if you cant get it.

They follow Dave’s policy of 30K, when your manual clearly states that they are not needed until 100K!!!!!Your alignment will be performed at Firestone, with a 50% upcharge, because although they say they do it there, they do not have an alignment machine!Also know that the technicians are instructed to “find something wrong - I can’t pay the f***ing bills unless you find something wrong.”State inspections are not always done by a certified technician; often Dave fills out the certificate after the uncertified tech has “inspected” the vehicle, with pressure to fail it.Trust me, I know; I was let go because I have a conscience and disagree with these practices! Scam artists beware....Took my car in for service. Told me needed tie rods two cam shaft sensors and had an oil leak. Charged me 170.00 to tell me that. Took in to GM for second opinion. Was told needed an intake sensor for 40.00. Also told me looked like someone had sprayed something on oil pan to look like oil leak. They wiped it down ran it for their minutes could not find any problems.

Went in for an odometer inspection so I could register my car, walked in with no appointment and they had me in and out in no time.

Like the convenience of the location, but has is usually a little pricier than a few blocks away.

Poor service /way over priced the one time I had work done there. More recently, I ran out of gas 3 blocks away, I went in to borrow a gas can and offered to make a deposit. They refused to lend me a can (even with a deposit)
