This is the best place to go in Kansas City to get your inspection done. When you arrive drive to the side of the building and pull inside and turn your vehicle off when waiting. Super fast and friendly service, they do not try to fix/sell you anything.

This is a fantastic shop. They are professional and courteous. I had called around to over 10 auto shops inquiring about a state inspection, some did not have the stickers, some would not answer the phone, most dont do inspections on Saturdays the list goes on. When I called J & L they not only picked up the phone promptly they had time to do my state inspection. I arrived shortly after speaking with them and they were very friendly and guided me to where I needed to have my car inspected. I waited for them to complete my inspection and after awhile I was good to go. This is one of those dont judge a book by its cover places, they are too notch here. Look at the other reviews, they dont spend the big dollars on advertising like others, no they let their customers and work speak for themselves. I would not hesitate to go there again and will be back. Great little shop!!!

Theyre open right on time, considering its a Saturday and most business are closed due to labor day holiday.. Very efficient too. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come back here from now on

This place is great. The guys are friendly and funny!When I went today for an inspection, the routine was that they were closed from 12-1. I got there at 12:45 and was first in line. I was first in line after lunch break and all went well. They keep the front garage door closed, but theyre there! The entrance is down the side road. I happened to see a car go down that way so I was clued in but may not have understood that otherwise.Details: Its a 1.drive-up/drive-thru; 2.park; 3.they inspect (instruct you to lights off/on, wipers, all that) -- most places have you leave your car for a half or whole day which is nonsense. I didnt have to get out of my car at all! I will post elsewhere on social media to let people know who may be disabled or cant easily drop their car off for hours at a time.This place is just off 71 - in between 59th and 63rd.Remember to bring cash! Im old enough to have known this about inspections, but still forgot. The CVS on 63rd and Prospect has an ATM right inside the door.Cant recommend more highly! Go here!

Usually in and out for State Inspection. Only place Ive gone to for all my cars since like 2013. Usually try to leave a tip for lunch for the convenience they provide.

Came here to get a vehicle inspection for Uber. He was able to get me in immediately, I was in and out in about 5 minutes. They didnt have any issue filling out Ubers form, like some other places I tried. Would recommend for anyone needing an Uber inspection in the KC area.

So I went to city wide auto inspection Mathew Frisbee. The guy put his hand on my muffler and said I needed to fix an exhaust leak. He never lifted the car or actually showed me proof of this. I had a professional lift it and look they found nothing. Now my wife is a beautiful black woman. She told me if I had been alone the inspection would have gone differently. I was a little irritated by this. My wife however found another place to do an inspection. We came here. I walked inside and knew instantly I would have no issues with the gentlemen operating this establishment. Quick,easy,and painless. I even read the inspirational quotes on the wall. I was instantly at ease and had no worries of being judged because of my wife and I and our relationship. If I could give 100 stars I would. Drive your vehicle in through the back side of the building, stay seated, mechanic will instruct you to perform items to be inspected (turn signals, lights, brakes etc) fast and simple yet comprehensive. This place is legendary for fast safety inspections in KC. I drove 25 minutes to come here.Drive your car into their side garage entrance, tell them you want an inspection. Have your insurance card or something with the VIN/car info ready to show and tell them the mileage. I paid cash and was literally in and out in 10 minutes.

I like this place, they were quick and very nice and funny. I passed my inspection but didnt have cash to pay, only my debit card. They let me leave and come back with the $12. Happy I went here and not the place across the street, City Wide. I heard from several people they charge $30 and fail you over any small thing to make you come back later.

Best place I know of for Missouri automobile safety inspections in Kansas City. In my experience, usually little or no wait. The inspector is always efficient and pleasantly personable.

I went to get my car inspected. #1) I loved it was no waiting. #2) Although it wasnt a big fancy shop it had a good ora about it. #3) I did pass the inspection and the staff was very polite and professional. #4) The ol school music lets me know they cool people. Not too mention, they had Bible scriptures posted all around the place. Id definitely go back to them. All in all call it what you want but this place is GREAT.
