Just the kind of atmosphere we were looking for! Cozy, warm, and inviting. When we were visiting we were wanting sweeter coffees in the cold air so I cant speak to how good their espresso is, but the drinks were hot and comforting! They could make the basement so much more inviting if it had a little music and less echoes, but overall loved our experience

Id die for the chai.Hands down. Best. Coffee. Ever.Well worth the price.The atmosphere is laid back, but clean. Plenty of room with seating, and the undergrounds (amazingly named) is great for meetings or large groups to hang out or do work.The staff are always amazing, friendly, and attentive to detail with quick service and smiles. There are specials on a regular basis which are fun, and are always a treat to try.If you are looking for your new favorite spot - this is it.

They have a gun giveaway poster on their counter, as well as other offensive, hateful adverting in their store.Plus, they never fill the cups up all the way.There was a good 4 inches between the top of my drink and the top of my cup.I feel robbed, and disgusted that they preach such hate speech so openly.

Has what a good coffee shop needs.Friendly service, good choice of quality coffees, can serve hot drinks in ceramic mugs on request (say No to single use cups!), and a wide variety of seating, from bar stools at front window, to sofas in the back room, plus a basement. Outlets were available as well as wifi (gotta have that right?). Great place to meet fellow travelers, or chill with a book.

Highly recommend! My husband and I stopped here a couple mornings while vacationing and felt really welcome. We tried 4 different roasts over 2 days and each one was delicious. The croissants were good too 🙂

Coffee art! I love their signature toffee with marshmallow drink. For friends that are mature coffee drinkers I request half the sflavor :) Super friendly staff.My husband was recommended their Thunderbolt beans for espresso machine and are now his favorite. Buy from their store and sign up for the loyalty program!

Comfortable setting and friendly. Kinda small place but offers a back room and a downstairs sitting area that can be used by small groups. Makes any coffee time an event.

Go here for coffee. I had the quiche and asked for it to be warmed again because it was cold (not room temp but cold) after the 1st bite. Again, it was cold after the 2nd warming, and to avoid feeling like I was imposing on the staff, I ate around the cold middle. Ambiance is nice and quaint with local art, a Rustic interior using details of the original building which is pretty. Staff is not what Id call friendly, but not rude, just doesnt really acknowledge anyone in the space. There was a clerk, a coffee barista, and someone on a ladder hanging art all of whom didnt say Hello, Good Morning, etc. to anyone walking in or leaving.

Stopped in each day on our 4 day visit to the area. Really great, consistent coffee and a very friendly staff. They also get a fresh variety of pastries each day about an hour after they open. Highly recommend! 🙌

The coffee was wonderful but the staff was really what made our visit a 5 star experience. They were SO friendly and took the time to have an actual conversation with us about our visit to Kalispell/Montana. I felt so welcomed here, and wouldnt hesitate to come back again!

My favorite coffee shop of all time - great coffee, the most amazing baristas and an awesome atmosphere!! Colter is great for getting work done, running in for a quick coffee, or just meeting a friend. I get a coffee here everyday and have NEVER been disappointed. Thank you guys!

**Update** When we got in communication with this business they were very understanding and apologetic. They replaced the order and showed us that they were truly worth all of the good reviews.Yesterday, I ordered my wife a vanilla chai and when she went to take a drink it was cold to the taste and the flavor begged for the cup to be opened and examined. Upon examination it was half full and it looked more like lumpy dumpy vomit drink not vanilla chai. I am not sure what happened as it seems based on the reviews this doesnt seem to often be the case. Perhaps it was due to the near closing hours, maybe the dasher simply took a detour, or something caught in between. I hope this is something all parties involved in the preparation and delivery of these beverages could take this as a wake up call.

The baristas have memories like a vault. I used to frequent about once every two weeks and didnt go for about three months and they still remembered my name and my normal order. Simply exquisite customer service, as always.

My favorite cup of coffee in the area. They brew their own and do a great job. Fun little coffee shop with plenty of places to sit and plug in a phone/laptop. Service has seemed to improve the last couple years too--that used to be my only beef with the place. Highly recommend it!

My office put in a huge order for coffee this morning.. almost a $100.00 worth of coffee and they canceled our oder with out telling us because it was to large.... we just called to check up on the order and found out that news. I will NOT be calling them again.

I decided to ride on down on my Sunday and started to overheat something fierce and I decided Id go and get myself an iced coffee of some sort and I rolled on into coulters with my mask and whatnot and they got me taken care of right quick. It was delicious and helped lower my core temperature to the point where I could actually sweat again. 10 out of 10 this is one of my known stops for a good coffee in Kalispell.

The coffee was quite good, but the place sure attracts some strange folks which takes away from the atmosphere. My last visit, some guy was trying so hard to hide his eavesdropping on our conversation it made it comically obvious.

Very impressed with the customer service: friendly baristas, efficient service, and welcoming atmosphere. Love that they have options for those with dietary restrictions, both food and drink. My friend and I showed up at 6p not realizing that was close time. The baristas offered to take our orders quick and make the drinks before they proceeded with their cleaning process. I visited multiple times during my trip and was treated with the same respect and care, and my drink was delicious every time. Stopped here while driving from Flathead Lake to Whitefish. We had a great experience. The staff was friendly, drinks were delicious, and there were many cozy places to sit and relax.

Simply the best coffee in Montana — and beyond! When we visit the area, our first stop is to Colter Coffee. We especially like the cold brew. We load up our suitcases with bags of their coffee for home. The staff is friendly and first rate. We know it is time to return to Montana whenever we run out of coffee.

Colter Coffee has a great atmosphere! My first experience there was during the lunch period. Had a great conversation at normal volume and no interruptions.The service was great. Polite and speedy. I ordered a London Fog, a drink I have tried at many other coffee establishments, and found it enjoyable!Overall Colter Coffee is a great place that I would recommend.

I took two pretty discerning coffee drinkers here and they both thought the coffee was really good. They have Two Leaves tea for those of us with more civilized palates. ;) Always a case of snacks as well, and the vibe is very relaxed. Usually parking is hard to come by unless you do city parking the next block over, even on a Tuesday morning. Conveniently located right across from Sweet Peaks ice cream and next door to a brewery!

I grew up drinking Colters Coffee, and I have never had better coffee anywhere else. There is something special about their coffee, it tastes so amazing. The atmosphere is chill and cozy, perfect for young and old alike. The staff are always welcoming and friendly, and its a really nice place to meet up with friends, get some work done, or just relax.

I keep going back to this place every Friday to meet with a mens group that meets and we always love their service friendliest people in the world that truly care about how youre doing and theyre glad to see you

Not a huge place, but very great vibes! They had some delicious looking treats. My cappuccino with almond milk was an ACTUAL cappuccino, VERY happy! :D Staff was awesome!

Im really particular when it comes to my coffee. They are one of very few coffee shops that can make a good latte that you can actually taste the coffee in it and when I ask for half sweet, they do it!

Best roasted coffee in town! I recently thought Id try a bag to support our local roasters at Colter Coffee, and I dont want to go back to the regularly shelved store products. Stopped this afternoon into the roasting store and bought a four pound bag. The gentleman that greeted me is the man in charge of roasting the coffee, super friendly and knowledgeable.

Always a great experience. The coffee is world class and the food is great. All the workers are experienced and kind every time. I have been here dozens of times and have never had a bad experience.

Colter Coffee has some of the best coffee in the Flathead Valley. The baristas are all genuinely relational, excellently trained and know their coffee. Comfortable atmosphere with good seating options, though can be busy with school/college crowd in the afternoons. They always offer locally made baked goods and Montana tea along with their locally roasted coffee. Limited parking, but worth it. Dont settle for any other coffee shop.

$1.50 for the for here mug of coffee. I think that makes it one of the best coffee deals in town. They roast their own so the coffee is pretty fresh. My only complaint and the lack of 5 stars is that its a shame the coffee is brewed auto drip. It leaves something to be desired in the taste category.

Fun atmosphere. provides a safe space for a community teen gay straight alliance and the decorations are funny and unique. the coffee is to die for and the history in the name tying to Montanas roots just makes the place feel more like home

The best in Kalispell. When they ask you if you want whip- say yes!!!! Theyll put a homemade marshmallow on top.Also try their coconut macaroons- they are the best Ive ever had!!

I love Colter Coffee. I stop here EVERY time Im in Kalispell to ensure I dont run out of their beans at home. The staff are enthusiastic and friendly. The food choices and coffee are delicious. The atmosphere is really comfortable and varied: with tall tables and couches and outside seating. Also a historic building downtown paying tribute to John Colter. Each order is handled individually, so its not always speedy, but Ive always had a friend in line to talk to during the wait.

Colter coffee is a great place. 1 the coffee is awesome, 2 the service is superb and 3 the atmosphere is very nice. This is a goto place for connecting with friends or getting alone with a book or out of the office work.

Colter coffee house is an awesome place to relax, hang out, and unwind. There is something nice about a locale roastery and catching up with people in the valley. There are many nice views and the location is splendid!I would like to spend more time there to write my books, read the news, or visit with friends.I sampled a huckleberry flavored drink thats very popular in summer and a region favorite. Its nice to see a variety of flavors that are different from Stsrbucks or other chains!
