This place is very busy no matter what time of day you go. You very seldom have to wait for a tables. They make sure everything is set for the Customers. They very good with take out orders. Their choice on their menus is just as good. We have done a lot of take out orders because we were spending a lot of times at Castle hospital. Everything is always ready for pickup as well.

If you are looking for a casual place that serves great local specialties and where the locals gather, Times Coffee Shop is the place to go. Very friendly and welcoming staff make visitors feel part of the community. A note, my personal breakfast favorite, fried rice and eggs that comes with heavenly Hawaiian macaroni and potato salad can easily feed at least two people with the full order. The buttermilk pancakes are light and fluffy goodness.

This place is one of the most popular diners in Kailua and is opened for breakfast and lunch only, and is always busy, the portions are large and you will not walk away hungry. The atmosphere is usually very pleasant and the employees are wanting to serve, they always want to make sure your experience is a five star memorable one by making sure every detail is just perfect.

Came here on a Wednesday morning and they were pretty busy considering it was the middle of the week. The restaurant is small, and because they are enforcing social distancing, seating is very limited; 6-7 groups will max out the restaurant. Shortly after being seated, we were given a sanitized tablet that you need to enter your personal information so they can do appropriate contact tracing if need be. I also noticed theyre very diligent about cleaning/sanitizing every table after the group eating there leaves. I respect that they are doing what they can to keep their customers safe during these times.Service was fantastic: they constantly checked on us, refilled our water and asked if we wanted more coffee. My wife and I both ordered corned beef hash patties with fried rice and eggs, and we shared a full stack of banana pancakes. The fried rice was sweet and delicious, and the corned beef patties were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The pancakes were nice and fluffy, but one was a tiny bit burnt which made it taste a little bitter. The main reason I took off a star is because theyve definitely reduced their portion sizes. Ive been eating at Times my whole life, and their portions have usually been HUGE, until now. Its particularly noticeable with the fried rice. It disappoints my inner fat boy. I was also disappointed that all three of my over easy eggs were already popped upon arriving to the table. Not a huge deal, but I like to move them over on top of my rice before breaking the yolks.Times Cofffee Shop has always been a favorite breakfast choice here in Kailua and Im happy to help support them in these trying times. Will definitely go again.

I remember the days I visited my grandma working as a server at Kapiolani Bakery Coffee Shop on King Street. It was a small, simple, no frills place coffee shop that had the typical local selection with great service. Visiting for the first time, Times Coffee Shop brought that same feel for me, servers that care, they are quick, and definitely working hard. Prices are very reasonable and the ono Loco Moco portions are very generous. They are definitely doing something right to be in business 40 years.Keep it up! Not too much places on island like yours!

This is like that place you and your buddies would always talk about when you were younger. The interior decor is absolutely nothing to write home about, but you’d be sorely mistaken if you let that influence what you thought about the quality of their food, which is quite good.My favorite is the Poco Loco Moco, which reminds me of lots of my dad’s Thai cooking with white rice, fried eggs and pork on top with a tasty sauce. The only reason I give this place four stars is because the interior really isn’t all that nice. But the food is a five-star experience and as a Kailua local this is a place that I come to with some regularity. Certainly not a bad option for tourists either if you’re looking for a more authentic, Hawaiian experience.

First time weve never taken leftovers! Staff was not at all warm (which is always a bummer), and food was mediocre at best, super bland. My eggs were almost raw and I asked for them medium. The waitress was almost silent about it when I pointed it out and Id eaten half my meal bf the replacement eggs came out along with the toast. If you love a simple bland meal this is your place. Bummed at how misleading the reviews are. Plus no espresso as the name of the restaurant suggests.

Not known as a fancy spot, but always a go to spot for breakfast in Kailua. Most likely its a place thatll scare the health conscious and clean freaks, but if you were looking for an açai bowl then the biker bar next door should have been your cue to GTFO. Simple as their cuisine may be, its meant for the local at heart and with quickness in mind.
