These guys are amazing, I had my grannies mothers ring with 12 stones made in to 2 rings one for me and my sister, the work looks amazing and priced to compete. I also had a pendant made out of an old engagment ring and its simple and stunning! I highly recommend this place!!!!

I came to this jeweler over the summer to have custom wedding bands made for my engagement ring, the ring has a halo and infinity band and would be tricky to match but i was ensured that the bands would be perfect and meet my expectations. A month after ordering them i went to pick them up, they were over a half millimetre too thin and there was no contouring done at all to match my ring, they had to be completely remade. I came back in a few weeks later, still wrong. The woman at the desk tells me that they would have needed to hang on to my ring or make a mold of it to get the contouring correct and no one had ever mentioned this to me until 48 hours before my wedding. The owner scrambled to make it right and spent the evening bending the bands to contour around my ring properly and even asked if i could come back in ON MY WEDDING DAY to get them so he wouldnt have to stay late, to which I did not agree. There was supposed to be white gold added into the corners of the bands to fill gaps and allow them to sit flush, thats not there, the bands are bent oddly in every area, they sit uneven, theres gaps and weird spacing everywhere and they look awful. I only took them that day because my only other other option was to get married with no wedding bands. My husband was so infuriated he almost returned them but i dont ever want them touching my ring again. On top of that, it took a half dozen calls and 3 different people giving me apologies and excuses and giving me the run around for about 2 MONTHS just to get my appraisal paperwork sent to me. Absolutely the worst experience Ive ever had and now Im stuck trying to find a trustworthy jeweler to fix the mess they have made of my beautiful engagement ring.

This gem of a store is wonderful to work with!! The staff is friendly and will go out of their way to answer questions or help in any way they can. Trey worked with my husband (my fiance at the time) to design the perfect engagement ring for me! - I obviously said yes! :) Trey also worked with me to design the perfect custom wedding band to go with my beautiful engagement ring. He also took the time to work with my husband to special order a zirconium ring to do a custom blue inlay in his wedding band. I love the fact that no one else has a ring just like mine or my husbands! They took the time and had plenty of patience with us to resize both of our rings to get the perfect fit. Were now on a first name basis when we walk into the store! I love this jewelry store, and the fact that its a family owned company. They keep things personal and perfect for their clients. I recommend 110% :)

Great place and great employees especially Rikki and Trey they both are a great blessing to me and my family they have treated us both like we was part of their own family. And they do a great job with their job they have done a great job working on mine and my wifes watches and jewelry. I had bought a brand new ring else where and decided to take it to diamond exchange in Johnson City to have it sized cause they seemed to do a great job on my wifes ring. Well when I went to picked it up I had noticed on the bottom what looked like a crack they fixed it but also the ring was so warped and I was so mad I just left without saying anything. I took it to Jewelers Bench to have it fixed proper. So after paying Diamond Exchange Im now having to pay a 2nd time for the terrible job they did Im very displeased.... 1 UNHAPPY CUSTOMER

Trey is the best jeweler ever! He redesigned my wedding set into something spectacular. He was very patient with me when I was trying to decide what I wanted. I thought I wanted another center diamond, so he ordered several stones for me to look at. In the end, I kept the stone I had and he redesigned my set into something I love. He could have made a sale of several thousand dollars, but he convinced me what I already had could be turned into what I really wanted. I ended up just letting him do what he thought would look the best. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to do jewelry work for me.

I live out of state and talked with the Trey, the designer, over the phone and he was super helpful talking me through the design process and making sure I was fully satisfied. He produced renderings for the ring I bought so that I could see exactly how the ring would look prior to starting production. The craftsmanship and customer service is perfect. Diamond Exchange deserves a review. They were absolutely excellent to me. Top jeweler. Two years ago last March (finally getting around to posting this review, sorry realized it was saved in drafts?¿) purchased a loose diamond and began a surprisingly simple and easy process of designing and casting a custom engagement ring for my now wife. The jeweler Trey at Diamond Exchange is the point man and I was refreshed by this that there was no middle man and I was working directly with him. Not many Jewelers like this anymore, where you can walk in the door into the showroom and have a conversation with the jeweler himself about any and everything. I had not lived in the Tri-cities very long, but with a family jeweler retiring back home, I had visited every jeweler in the Johnson City area to little satisfaction. I felt like each of them wanted to push me a direction toward whatever they thought was in. I expressed right away to Trey that I was interested in and what I was not interested in. He was respectful and so helpful, shared with me in my exitement and shared about himself and what he had done what types of things he liked and valued. He had a wide selection of loose stones in house and was also willing to consider trades. DE also had estate rings and a few beautiful select used rings--which for me, for what its worth, is a sign of a good trustworthy jeweler, someone readily acknowledging the beauty taste and value of another jewelers work however eclectic. DE was really reasonable on their prices and valuation of the stones and gold. I am completely satisfied with the deal I made with DE to create a custom piece.Last but not least, the ring was a hit, a beautiful gift and the perfect personality for my wife, but though a nasty life happenstance had one of the prongs seriously damaged. Trey took us right in, fixed and improved the ring right away and had it back to us in the week no extra change just taking care of us. Cannot say enough about Diamond Exchange. Completely satisfied.

I wanted to say this from the bottom of my heart, Diamond Exchange isnt just about making a sale, its about the people who own the place, the people who work there and the pride they have, not just as a store, but in how they take care of their customers, customers like me.....Ive been doing business with them for about 22 years now, at the time, they were located on Market street and transitioning into the place theyre at now. I always thought they did amazing work on custom orders, and theyre all about coming up with a plan that a customer can afford, never mind about a specific time limit on lay-aways, if you miss a payment, just call them, tell them the truth, and they have no problem extending the time on your layaway.My husband lost his job, he has always been an excellent provider, but times hit hard so I took some items that meant nothing to anyone else, all the other jewelers didnt care a bit about our situation, I even pathetically begged them to please help me, I should have known that all I had to do was just save all the gas, tears and time and just took my stuff to Diamond Exchange, Trey not only listened with so much compassion, but I even saw tears welling up, in his own eyes, without a second thought, he didnt even hesitate and bought my diamond earrings and even gave me more than what I think they were worth. Great people, super service and they listen to what you want done. I had a Sabonna bracelet that needed a link removed and put in another, took them about 30 minutes because it was welded. Made the repair and only charged $10 bucks. Quality of services and people and products/prices is second to no one

I have had several custom pieces of jewelry made at Diamond Exchange. All have been absolutely amazing. My most recent piece was solitaire enhancer for a 1.2 ct solitaire. The enhancer had two .3 ct diamonds and two . 2 ct for a total of 1 ct. The rings together look stunning. My fianceè purchased my ring from Diamond Exchange due to the fact they are a family owned business and they care about what you want and will make sure you get it! This is why they do custom pieces.I fell in love with my beauty, (of course)!!Since then, weve been back for a cleaning and to get it sized.Both visits, my ring was taken care of and fixed correctly.According to the time they quoted us, we shouldnt have received it back for atleast two weeks, due to the fact they were busy and had alot of appointments before us.But, we ended up getting a call three days later by one of the ladies to let us know it was all finished and ready for pick up.Whenever we got it sized, they took it, measured my finger, told us to give them just a little and theyd have it finsihed..About two hours later, the ring was all ready, cleaned and shinning beautifully.We believe the jeweler who crafts all the jewelry is phenomenal, creative, and just all around, an amazingperson. Highly dissatisfied! Husband has purchased several pieces for me here and I have been crediting him for his thoughtfulness. However he is not knowledgeable about jewelry and I believe was taken advantage of. One purchase was a little necklace with too small a chain. He returned to get a longer chain and was told you couldnt get one and was sold a thicker, much more expensive one. To make things worse, small ring was sauntered onto the charm to accommodate the larger chain. Not a necklace bail, but a small O ring! This addition ruined the look of the necklace. A competent jeweler would never have done that. When I returned to remedy the situation I was treated rudely and the only solution they offered was to even trade the thinner chain for the thicker one my hisband purchased. They would only cheat me of a two hundred dollar difference as a solution. We will never return!!!
