Best coffee shop in Johnson City, with wonderful little Colombian dishes to eat, too! Dont miss it as you drive by. Their sign is quite small. I didnt like iced coffee until I tried theirs! Even black, it is wonderful.

We go here frequently for afternoon coffee or pre-workout pick-me-ups. The menu has a ton of different options, including a large variety of coffee beverages, fruit smoothies, and Colombian snacks. They have a lot of fruit selections that I dont often see, so its been fun to experiment with the different flavors. Also, in cold coffees the ice cubes are made from coffee! This is something I hadnt seen in other places and is just a small detail that speaks to the level of quality here. The interior is comfortable and relaxing. The owner and staff are always extremely courteous. I recommend this to all my friends and family, especially those looking for an alternative to the sugar-pushing corporate chains.

Coffee was very sweet for me, but then again I drink coffee black all of the time. Owner also offered free cookies with coffee. Which was a nice addition that I opted out of because I had just ate prior to arriving there for coffee. Decor was home style and relaxed. Other customers at tables where on laptops and drinking coffee. I didnt much care for was the strong inscents burning. But I had a to go order anyways.

Really beautiful small cafe. Coming from Durham, NC where we have tons of great local coffee shops, I instantly knew the moment that I walked on that this place would be amazing. I was right as I looked around and saw the beautiful personality the owners have put in the cafe. The owner was very friendly and super funny.The coffee and empanadas were great. The empanadas came with salsa.Overall a great local cafe to support!!

A very homely coffee place with delicious coffee. Both owners are very welcoming. The coffee milkshake, empanadas & fruit salad are delicious.

A friend knew about this place.  I went in for a coffee and ended up getting a passion fruit smoothie and a tamale.  Who knew? The aroma of fresh coffee lures you in as soon as you open the door. I was greated by the owner who was friendly and welcoming. The smoothie was perfectly balanced with sweetness to the fresh tartness of the fruit pulp.  The large tamale was an authentic Colombian style with chucks of chicken and pork and a meal by itself.  Look forward to my next visit.  Definitely worth a visit if you are near this charming spot. Again this place was very friendly and welcoming.

Excellent service and amazing coffee. I had a Dalgona Coffee and it was probably one of the best cold coffee drinks I have had in years. We visited from out of town but we will definitely be back if we are in the area!

Authentic Columbian coffee shop in Johnson City! The coffee is quite strong, which is right up my alley. Reminds me of the coffee I bought from a farm in Nicaragua while visiting there. Very cool interior of the coffee shop with Hispanic music and decor. Really cool to see a coffee shop like this come to the tri-cities. The service was a little slow, but thats to be expected since they just opened. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you like coffee shops and want to try something different from the normal.

This coffee shop is the best! We ordered an iced mocha and it is fabulous! Instead of using regular ice they froze coffee into cubes so your mocha does not get watered down! Very friendly, awesome customer service! This is my new favorite coffee place!

This place is outstanding! The smoothies are out of this world delicious and the coffee and coffee beverages are really good. Way better than the famous, expensive ones in the city, by the way. The owner (I think he was the owner) is very nice and friendly. I’m so happy we have found this place.

Johnson City area peeps, you must make the Colombian Coffee exchange your new coffee shop. The Caramel Coffee smoothie and the Dalgona are excellent, as is the cheesecake!Quaint, intimate atmosphere. Way better than Starbucks, a buy 4 get one free rewards program and you can support a small, minority owned business. Highly recommend.

We were coming from Boone, NC and aren’t in Tennessee very often and we thought we needed some coffee. We wanted to support a local business so we went to this place and the coffee was very good and the owner was very friendly. It is a very nice little coffee shop and I definitely recommend it.

Columbian Coffee Exchange is the very best coffee shop in the Tri-Cities! We love the coffee-especially the iced coffee bc he uses coffee ice cubes so the coffee doesn’t dilute! Great smoothies, empanadas and sweet cream for the coffee! We are obsessed! The owner, German, is the greatest at showing hospitality and it is a great atmosphere to do work or study.

Selfishly - I don’t want anyone else to know about this place. Realistically - I won’t be able to stop that because their product is so dang good; nonetheless I’ll shoot my shot. First, don’t try their lemonade. It’s the best lemonade in Johnson City (their coffee is top as well).Second, definitely do not sit on one of the couches. The comfort + sweet aroma of some candle product will fix butts to cushion.Third, definitely don’t talk to Herman and James. The second you walk in to the second you walk out those two gents will be ensuring you have the best stay possible.In closing, I will likely see you at CCE some time in the near future :)

Ive been wanting to come here since I heard about them opening we drove up today and the sign said closed. I walked up to the door just wanting to see the inside and there was someone in there they came up to the door and unlocked it and let us in. I was just wanting a couple of empanadas and he told me and its broken English that he only had two. He was so friendly and we were able to communicate with my broken Spanish and his broken English Ill definitely be back just for the atmosphere to sit down and enjoy some coffee next time when its really open.
