Stopped in Dos Gatos on our anniversary trip to see the turning of the leaves. What we found was a top notch coffee shop!They use Counter Culture Coffee (we are big fans) and house made syrups. The hubs got a hazelnut latte. He said it was smooth and very well made.I got a decaf chai rooibos latte. Which wasn’t my first choice, but due to Covid supply chain issues, I couldn’t have a regular chai tea latte. However, it was delicious! I was really happy I tried it.The place was popping on a Monday mid morning. Lots of people their working or just hanging out.The staff was great. Chill but personable. Enjoyable to talk to and did a great job.If you are looking for a good place to get coffee in Johnson City … this is the place!

This is the best coffee shop in town. They make the tasting notes scream, the variety of seasonal options is great, and they also put a premium on safety. The food is great, too, and that includes gluten free and vegan options.

A wonderful, SAFE place to get a good cup of coffee. I love the walk up window, which makes it more convenient for me to grab some caffeine with little ones in tow. The batistas are friendly, and all of my drinks have been tasty. They also have a nice selection of food pairings that look delicious (though I havent sampled them personally). Another perk is their online ordering system, so getting coffee can be almost contact-free.

My husband and I love Dos Gatos. Amazing drinks and very friendly staff. The owner has really taken care of his employees during the pandemic and adapted his business to provide an ordering window to safely serve during these crazy times. Local pottery to drink from. This is a coffee house that’s so local you’ll see your neighbors there every time you visit. A real gem.

Their coffee is always delicious, but unfortunately have yet to have a good experience on the food side of things. Toast has typically been cold/not toasted, but again the coffee is great!

Good coffee in downtown Johnson City. They use Stumptown Beans. Friendly Baristas and plenty of seating including some nice window seating. Americano, Latte (Cold and Hot) and Hot Chocolate are all good... While the pour art is great the shop is not quite Third Wave, but on its way. Great toast options as well as other local based pastries. Parking is a little tricky during certain times of the day, but definitely worth the stop. We enjoyed our visits this summer while in town.

Im typically one to get my coffee to go and I love the new app, Odeko, they have where you can pre-order! Its easy to use and fast!Of all the people who really take their coffee seriously, Dos Gatos stands out. They literally go to coffee conventions to learn about the process...and whatever else happens at those things. Id like to find out for myself sometime, sounds fun!The quality shows and they have the super cool Nitro Bike which is awesome for events! Its just a neat place all around and the owners are fabulous!

Was leaving Johnson City and wanted a good latte for the road. Older part of downtown, a lot of closed surrounding shops. With Covid, had to go to the walk up window at back lot of shop. It was worth the wait!Ive lived in Florida, Colorado, New Mexico and Tennessee. It is one of the smoothest, tastiest vanilla lattes I have had in years. And artfully done!

The staff was friendly and helpful. There were no ordered before our order, but my chai latte and my husbands caramel latte were not hot... at all. Im also unsure why there is an extra $1 charge for the gluten-free toast when its 1/3 size smaller than the regular toast. Youre already getting less bread if you pay the regular price of toast, but to get less and pay more is ridiculous. I understand that most gluten-free items have a mark up, but no need for it here.

I really enjoy Dos Gatos and have been going there since before their new location. The new location is wonderful and homey feeling. Their sunflower pesto toast is splendid. They have a nice selection of coffee including my favorite, Telos, which is a local coffee roaster. They also were the first place in Johnson City to carry nitro coffee and have a few different options with this. Definitely worth a try if youre in the area.

Amazing lattes and plenty of vegan milk alternatives to choose from. started offering vegan soups and they are delicious! Couldnt be happier with this place, and glad they are keeping the staff safe.

Best place around in Downtown Jc. Not being a coffee drinker they have the best green tea and nice food selection. If you havent checked them out you should. You will not be disappointed

Friendly window service in the back under a covered sidewalk with a few well-spaced tables and chairs. Plenty of choices for a simple lunch; I had the avocado hummus served on a thick slice of oat bread and iced tea. No in-store service or seating during COVID, and reduced hours.

Excellent coffee. Very friendly staff. Good atmosphere. It’s a nice space, too, and provides a much needed local coffee option in downtown Johnson City.

Really wanted to love this place. The avocado hummus was delicious and my cold brew was good but the employees weren’t very friendly. They were talking so loud to each other and yelling across the store which made it hard for my mom & I to talk.A large family left while we were still sitting and two of the girls kept complaining very loudly that they left a mess and should have cleaned up better. We tried to ignore them but they were just so loud the entire time.

Best coffee in town! They are also super environmentally conscious, giving customers the option to always choose a no-waste option for dishes, etc. Cool, intimate interior with a good mix of college kids, local business owners, and families. This place is going to become a regular stop!

Nice small coffee shop with a friendly, knowledgeable staff. A very open atmosphere for those who want coffee and leave. May not appeal to those who like to linger. Coffee was excellent.

My girlfriend and I had tasty coffee and excellent service on our visit! The atmosphere of the shop is perfect for studying or hanging out. Hannah, Becca, and Jill were personable and knowledgable; my girlfriends marzipan latte was gorgeous and cozy, and my pour over (there was a great selection of whole beans to choose from) was delicious. I will definitely return!!

Great local coffee place with warm atmosphere. Friendly staff and good music is always playing. Prices are about like Starbucks or less.Edit: if you get the chance, come eat at the Orchar Mason while hes here, from 7am-2pm Monday through Friday. The 7 minute eggs are the best eggs Ive ever had.

My business moved out of downtown in May. Today I was back making a delivery. I stopped to grab a quick coffee, but stayed to eat. If all of downtown was as awesome as this place, I never would have left. Great job!

The tea I ordered was delicious and healthy for me. I was having a hard time and a bad day. But the waitress lifted my spirits with a warm cup of love.

The service and conversation was wonderful! Whitney is a STAR, personable, funny and knows their products very well which helped a madly indecisive person like me. I like that they are not your run of the mill coffee joint but a place of whimsy, great coffee and AWESOME crepes with the added bonus of being surrounded by local art.

Favorite place to get coffee in Johnson City. The coffee itself is roasted by one of the most well known coffee roasters in the US (Stumptown!). There espresso is a tad on the dark side but it is really good whether you like straight espresso or milk drinks. The baristas all work hard and it shows in the coffee and environment.

Yummy coffee, nice quiet atmosphere, super friendly staff. Great place for a quick pick-me-up or a nice sanctuary from the days rude and rush.

Awesome little coffee shop in downtown Johnson City. Not only do they have a good selection of coffee, they also have baked goods. But probably my favorite thing about the shop is how they support local area artists and creatives.

DOS Gatos is the first place I came to in Johnson city. They have great coffee, the owner and staff are excellent and helpful, and the clientele are above average magical people. Loved it!
