This was my first time buying a vehicle from a dealership and I’m so happy I chose to shop at Johnson City Honda! I worked with Britney V and Justin Q and their customer service was phenomenal. They really worked with me on finding the perfect vehicle and staying within my budget. I even got a ridiculously good deal on my trade in. Everything was so easy and I love my new car.
So-so experience when I bought my first car here a few years ago, but a much better experience when I came to trade it back in for a much newer car this past time. Austin and Phil were both very helpful and knowledgeable. They werent super willing to negotiate on pricing but otherwise it was a good experience the second time around. Theyve done great work on my car every time Ive come to get it serviced and I plan to keep coming back for that.

I took my C-RV to this dealership 5 times. They could not find my problem and kept doing random patchwork “fixes” which were incredibly expensive. I had to take my car to a new shop and they were able to fix it the first try. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. Go to precision auto if you want actual service.
Let me start off by saying WOW! I came in today HOPING to buy a car in my price range... after having my car totaled and looking for a new car this past week. I’ve been very hesitant on going to big name brand dealers with my past experience at Toyota of Bristol. (Toyota of Bristol was an awful experience!) I was outside, found a car that caught my eye and within a few minutes a salesman came out, Justin Marshall assisted me in every way possible. I got to test drive the car and it ran so smoothly, I immediately fell in love. Justin made my dream come true today! He worked with his boss diligently and lowered the price closer to my price range. He also worked very quickly, and I was able to sign all paperwork and get through financing within an hour! Very short stay, and I left with an amazing used car that was fully paid when driven off the lot! Within a day of having my 2005 Honda Accord, I’m just so in love with it. It runs very smoothly, and was very well kept and clean. Justin told me everything I needed to know about the car. My experience today was absolutely AMAZING. And I really can’t thank Justin and his boss enough for making my dream come true!
I gave them two starts based on that the sales guy that greeted us ( Clay ) was very helpful. The reason I give them a low score is because the two vehicles we were shown were driven and had food stains and trash in them. They were trying to sell them as new one with over 1000 miles and the other with over 2000 miles and as I said were used as a dining room.
Jason Garrett is as honest as the day is long. Great experience. Team work made the dream work. Highly recommend. We drove two hours and snatched a new hybrid crv. There is one left and a sweet hard to find Highlander hybrid. That’s what I know. Ask for a Jason Garrett.
We bought online. The process was quick and easy and we loved buying a car from our front porch! Staff was nice and helpful; delivery was quick and efficient. Still have no bill of sale five days later, but hope that will arrive soon.Our only suggestion is that you inform buyers when a car does not have a spare tire. Since this is still fairly unusual in the US, it would be kind thoughtful to do so. We now find ourselves scrambling to buy an aftermarket spare, jack, etc. before an upcoming trip.

They were great when I wanted to lease a new Honda, but when we returned a couple months later to buy a used vehicle they have been nothing but iffy. They didn’t give us the spare keys or owners manual, then they lost it. They never sent the paperwork for payments or the license plate and when we called to check in, they again seem to have lost all the paperwork. They made excuses for the poor detailing of the car because their main detail person was not in. It was mediocre, gross crumbs and dust and fingerprints everywhere. Why do they allow this kind of work just because the boss isn’t in? I’m disappointed.Edit: We have been asked twice to remove this review. We finally did receive the registration for the car about five or six weeks after purchasing, and they did kindly overnight us a second temp tag while we waited. We had to contact the loan company ourselves to find out how to make payments and found out the address they’d been given by Honda was wrong and we never would’ve received a statement. The car still remains undetailed with a current plan to do it on some weekend that they can make work with the offer of a loaner vehicle. Great, but that should’ve been the offer from the beginning in my opinion, if they know they only have one capable detailer with a set schedule that doesn’t fit the majority of any employed person’s schedule. Additionally, we have yet to receive the packet that comes with the warranty we purchased. Ultimately, I think my original review is still important to potential customers who deserve to know the potential hassle they’re in for and removing it would be dishonest.Edit 10/20: Apparently we’ve been scammed. We still have never gotten our warranty packet despite paying for months. Not sure what’s next? We’ve called so many times and no solution. They’re getting an extra chunk of cash every month from us and laughing all the way to the bank. I implore you, AVOID AVOID AVOID this place!!

Called Johnson City Honda to inquire why I was receiving intermittent Eric codes on the chela starting on my 2016 pilot. Service advisor was unable to give me any information and I requested to speak to a technician. I then left a message and never received a call back. I called Kingsport Honda and she promptly diagnosed my problem by my Vin number and told me there was a recall and if they could repair it next week. Disappointed as I bought this car and several others from Johnson City Honda
The general manager at Johnson City Honda just told my husband that people that purchase new cars are top priority over those purchasing $15k used cars. They hadnt sent our son a tag and he has been driving on non-valid temporary tags for over a week. They refused another temporary tag, told him they would have it in hand by 12pm and he didnt get it until almost 5 pm making him 7 hours behind. They could have just gave him another temporary tag and avoided this delay. Never purchasing from here again. They also said that police officers are understanding of expired tags
Sean was a fantastic salesman and never pushed or harassed at all. It took me a couple of weeks to make my decision and he was always prepared to answer any questions of let me test drive as many times as I wanted without trying to constantly make me agree to buy. I ended up with a Honda Accord Hybrid, and Sean was great about showing me all of the features and making sure that I knew exactly how to use what I was buying. I talked to every Honda dealership in the area, and he was willing and able to go above and beyond all of them to help me. I would highly recommend him if youre in the market for a car.

There was no haggling. Everyone was very courteous and helpful. My only critique would be for finance to slow down and explain things and take a little time for the customer to ask questions. Just bought a Kia Soranto great milage nice looking car. Had an issue with the drivers side back quarter panel. We were told $ was taken off for that. Signed the papers, being pushed the whole time. Upon our arrival at home it was getting dark and we noticed hail damage on the hood and roof. At the dealership it was un- noticable due to the sun. No one told us or even pointed it out. The damage is at least $ 9500. Not am I only paying ( not going to say price) for the car but also have to pay for the damage on ot as well. Sellers are not trustful. If you want to be a good salesmen be truthful. You know good and well the damage on a car. Will never buy from here again

I received a factory safety recall notice for my Honda Accord. JC Honda was proactive in reaching out to me to tell me about the problem and scheduled an appointment to fix it. They Replaced the fuel pump and had me on my way within an hour and a half. Excellent service from beginning to end.
Our problems only was the high pressure from the Finance Department to buy extended warranties. The department was evasive of the cost. My wife and I heard a much lower price and we were rushed to initialing and signing many times at the marked X. We didnt receive any copies until we picked up the car up a few days later. They allowed by us to cancel three of the four contracts, but would not refund the sales tax paid on those warranties. How come department stores refund the sales tax on returns?
We had a great experience at this dealership and received excellent service from our salesman, Jason Garrett. We bought a nice SUV at a fair price with no pushy tactics or games. It was exactly the way the car-buying experience should be.

We just recently purchased a 2018 Honda Accord from this dealership and we really enjoyed our experience. Our sales agent was Tanner and he was awesome too work with! Communication about the car was instant from the moment we inquired about the car to the follow up after the sale. JC Honda made the purchasing process super easy by accepting pre-qualifications online to save time. I would purchase again from this dealership!
Called on Friday, and was provided an appointment on the following Monday. The software update was completed on my car in an hour, car washed and on my way home in a very timely manner. Everyone was friendly and professional.
Honda might be top of the line but the service department at JC Honda is made up of a bunch of crooks. Do not send a young driver to this dealership, especially a female, to get anything done to a car, not even an oil change. My friends daughter went for a $60 oil change and got a bill for $700. A similar thing happened to my own child a few years ago at JC Honda. I will never buy another vehicle here.

I had a positive buying experience with Johnson City Honda. Lee was great to deal with, I highly recommend him. He was never pushy and helped me get what I asked for. There were no gimmicky games. He even delivered my car to my house when everything was final. The only disappointing thing about it, when I was finalizing my paperwork, I found out that you have to purchase the extended warranty for certified pre-owned cars. I was not aware of that at the time and had assumed it was automatically included. Its pricey too. Most things it includes are items my insurance already covers, minus parts and labor for repairs. I did not purchase the warranty. I think this should be included with the purchase of a vehicle, just my two cents.

Worst experience I’ve had buying a car... but what has set me off the most out of this experience is they ran my credit 5 times! I asked them explicitly not to. I already had a bank I wanted to use. When I confronted them about it they said oh well. They said they found a bank with a lower apr which was not at all true. They offered no apology, spoke to the manager who said he would get it resolved it’s been almost 3 months and nothing has happened.

I called to inquire about a car yesterday and they yelled at me and told me that they don’t talk to “Cracker Jack monkey people who live in caves.”When I went to look at a car, I spoke to a salesman who was completely blind and after walking into the wrong building for an hour we finally went to “look” at some vehicles I was interested in. When I looked inside all the vehicles however, they were filled with pounds of feces. To make matters worse, the feces wasn’t even human!I would steer clear of Johnson city Honda.

The dealership owner, Joe Trujillo, says he reclaimed vehicles from Coach Shay and his assistant coaches following their show of support of players kneeling during the national anthem. Trujillo retrieved the cars a few days after a picture surfaced online of players kneeling at a game against Chattanooga in February.

Went to auto repair to have key replaced on a 2014 pilot. Staff kind and explained everything. Understanding when I said I needed to come back next week due to price being double what I initially thought.
The Hondas were a little undercooked and gave me indigestion but the staff were very nice and I got to watch a TV show called Blue Clues while they were making my meal.

I want to know why johnson city honda,.who is a sponsor for the etsu basketball team reclaimed the coaches vehicles after the team decided to kneel for the national anthem. This is a discrace and sends a horrible message.
Asked for them to check my car because it was making a rattling sound. We bought the car from them. After looking at the car for 15 min they informed me it was the tire. Then they informed me it was going to be 79.95 for them to tell me it was the tire. I asked why it was going to be that much. The technician explained it was the diagnostic fee. I argued for about 5 min why I thought that was not fair to charge for telling me the tire was bad. They still charged me then wanted to quote me tires. Not a customer friendly dealership.
We were visiting Johnson City from out of town when we picked up a screw in our tire. Our tires were purchased from the Honda dealership in our hometown and were under warranty. I arrived at the dealership 10 minutes before closing but the staff were unwilling to put on a new tire; I was told they could put the spare tire on for me, or I could just drive home and hope the tire sensor didnt go off and hope for the best. Thanks for nothing.If your service department is supposed to stay open until a certain time, you should expect to accept customers up until that time and stay to fix the problem - like my Honda dealership does at home. Because no one was willing to do the work, we ended up having a puncture and had to buy a new tire at Walmart. THANKFULLY, our dealership back at home is willing to honor the warranty and will be replacing the tire for us.If Johnson City Honda had been willing to do the work, we wouldnt have had to buy a new tire at Walmart. Im unimpressed with how the hours of service are interpreted here and their lack of willingness to help an out-of-towner.EDITED TO ADD: After your response, I am editing down to one star. No one offered to check if my tire was available or if another tire would suffice. I told the employee we had a 5-hour drive ahead of us and the spare wouldnt stand up to that.And again, no solution was offered. I was just told you were closing and couldnt do anything. When I told my Honda guy what happened, he laughed and said, Wow, we wouldnt be allowed to get away with that.

I messaged the dealership and was told they did have the vehicle I was interested in purchasing. My fiancé spoke to a dealer representative on several occasions and was assured they had several vehicles of the same model that we could choose from. Drove over an hour to get to the dealership. They had NO vehicles of the model we wanted. The salesman was apologetic, the manager-could have cared less. I told them that was no way to do business, by being deceitful. I got exactly what I wanted from Apple Tree Honda!
Tanner assisted me in my last two car purchases. He gave me complete information about the cars I had an interest in and helped me to get the best price in the area. Thank you Johnson City Honda and Tanner.

The “Johnson City Way,“ is how I wished EVERY car buying experience went. They attended to my every need, made me an excellent offer on my trade, and got me a really good deal on financing so that I could afford the maintenance package. My salesman, Matt Spier, was great. He never pressured me to buy or up sell me on anything. I came in with a lot of research done, so I knew what I wanted, but he answered my questions in a way that did not belittle me or make me feel like I didn’t know what I wanted.
By far the best Service Department I have ever encountered at a dealership. They put the rest to shame.

I visited Johnson City Honda last Saturday. I dont remember my sales guys name but he started out being really nice until I advised him that our credit was bad. He then advised us that they would run M our credit report and just see where we stood. We waited around for 30 to 45 minutes of being just left alone, he finally came back and told us that there was nothing they could do to help us and that there was no way we should try anywhere else because if they couldnt get us approved that no one could. He told us to come back with a larger down payment in a couple months and we could try again. Well just to let you know we left and went to Grindstaff Kia and we knew it would be a longshot but we let them see what they could do. Long story short we left Grindstaff Kia in a new used car that fit our budget. They did everything they possibly could for us and made sure that we knew every step they were taking along the way. So this message is to let Honda know th as t maybe you need to try and work a little harder for your customers. I will never visit johnson city Honda ever again just for the fact that since we didnt have good credit we were basically pushed out the door and I dont feel now that they were even trying to help. Just did the bare minimum just to get us out the door. Well shows what a little hard work will do, kia got a sell and a returning customer for years to come

We have bought 4 brand new hondas from Johnson City Honda and recommended them numerous times to friends and family. NEVER AGAIN! We purchased a 2020 Pilot Touring in March of 2020. After 6 months of ownership, four of our seatbelts have begun unraveling on the edges and now several will not pull out, making them totally unusable. I took the 2020 Honda Pilot to Johnson City Honda on October 30th. I received a call from Carlos in the service department the next day. He informed me the warranty would not cover them because they appeared to be chewed by a dog. When I informed him that we do not have a dog that would be in the vehicle, they determined it must be a car seat because they have never seen this happen before. I then told them we only have one child in a booster seat and it was impossible (if these seatbelts were of the quality they should be) that a booster seat would be capable of unraveling four seat belts, especially when the booster seat was only used in two of the spots. When I mentioned that, I was told, Chris, the service manager, made the comment that it was hard to believe that all four seat belts would unravel at the same time. I explained that our daughters originally sat in the driver and passenger back seats. When the passenger side kept getting stuck and eventually totally stopped working, one child moved to the middle seat. At that time, there was no unraveling because it had not been used. After some time, we noticed it was fraying. After that, the back drivers side got stuck. Our other daughter then had to move to the 3rd row driver side. At that point there was no unraveling, but within weeks we noticed some. After going through this with them, they really did not have any explanation for me other than it would be around $2500 to fix. I felt like I was not heard and treated like it didnt matter. I was appalled that they cared so little about a safety concern. They never took any paneling off to look for defects in the mechanisms or did anything further than take pictures of the fraying that is exposed (there is fraying in the panelling on the passenger and driver back seats but you cannot see it because those seatbelts will not even come out).So, here we are. In a 2020 8-passenger Honda Pilot Touring, with minimal miles, and our kids cannot even comfortably or safely ride with us because we have four seat belts that are unusable. We have been loyal Honda customers for years but will never own another!
Well this is my experience I got E mail from Jessica said they had a Chevy Silverado lt for 2000 dallors out the door so when I got to Honda of Johnson city an UNKNOWN person said he was going to help because Jessica was busy I was told they didnt have truck I had came to buy I left upset, but he tried to sale me something else
