Needed a power drill, and customer service is 10 stars. Was shown how to use the power drill, being it was my first time purchasing here. I might consider getting my paints here.

Local hardware store which stocks a limited selection of hardware items. I go here first before I head to the big box stores. Staff always helpful and curteous and knowledgable about the merchanise they stock. They do a lot with a small store.

I absolutely love this hardware store some of the products are cheaper than home depot so but when you walk into novicks they at least have Very knowledgeable clerks who are right there to help you find a product, show you the product you may need in tandem with what your purchase. The overall staff is fantastic, the products are great, and the pricing excellent!!

Poor service didnt have anything I needed

This is a good little neighborhood hardware shop thatll meet your emergency and basic needs. The staff is always ready to help and attentive.Ive managed to find whatever I need most of the times I have visited and this is the 1st place on my list to check when I have to fix something.Youll find your basic plumbing repair needs, paint, tools, keys, and fasteners like screws and nails always stocked and ready.Do yourself a favor and check this store if youre in the neighborhood and need to fix something. Itll help the community and youll save yourself a trip to any of the big box stores that are farther away.You will NOT find things like lumber or very specialized tools here. I dont know where to go in Jersey City for that stuff but this is a nice little store

Great family run hardware store, so helpful and professional. They carry my favorite paint which is not carried by Lowe’s or Home Depot: Benjamin Moore, which is the best paint out there in terms of color choices and quality.

Stopped by over here a couple of times to get some Benjamin Moore paint palettes. The owner was great. Very helpful. We didnt plan to buy paint at that time and he knew that and he still helped us heartily. Explained us everything. Showed us stuff, and gave some tips as well. Good service always makes a positive day.

Ive been here a few times already and every time theyve been friendly and extremely helpful. They have almost everything you need without the depression that comes with spending too much time in a Home Depot.

The lady behind the chash register cut me a set of keys . One out of the set didnt work. I brought them back and right away she cut me two more copies . Without putting up a resistance or asking for more money ! She seemed genuinely concerned . After cutting the 2 more copies of the one key, she handed the set back to me and told me one out the two should work . It did work !!! so I had a great experience at this hardware store !!! They seem honest, fair and pleasant ! Not to mention the place is also loaded with lots of great household, outdoor gardening tools, as well as paint and much more stuff to cater to just about all your hardware needs !

This is a great little hardware store. I am a do-it-yourself type and I always liked this store, but it is even better now that it is run by a woman. The former owners (male) mainly sold to plumbers and others in the building trades, but many useful household supplies have been added to the inventory and the store seems to be thriving.

I think the store is pretty well stocked and the owner is willing to help or give advice. I understand prices will be higher than home depot but i prefer to support local businesses if i can afford to.

Local Mom & Pop hardware store with a little bit of everything. I bought a GFI outlet and a few different brackets which cost less than Home Depot. On average, reasonably priced. Not all staff speak english, however there is always someone behind the counter willing to translate and help. Staff is knowledgeable and better than the help Ive received at Home Depot.Definitely a neighborhood keeper in my opinion.

Novick, has most things that hardware stores need to have. The young man behind the counter is friendly, the older gentleman that works there acts like he is doing you a favor by being there and helping you find things, he literally told me that the first time I went there, and he made some outloud comments about how some people dont want help when he offers it, etc etc.. In spanish, I guess he didnt realize I understood spanish. Not sure if he acts that way with the male customers as well. But beside the ego driven customer service person, you can find many things within reasonable prices keeping in mind that some things will be priced higher than the large competitor.

An older gentleman working the front desk was so rude to me about returning an UNUSED luggage scale minutes after I purchased it because my partner called me and told me he pick one up already. So I went to return the over priced luggage scale and the man publicly shamed me about hurting small businesses with returns. And loudly, so everyone could hear, told me he would give it to me from his own pocket cuz I was pathetic. When he actually just went to the stores extra cash drawer behind him. Which is in plain view. After I left I called to ask for the owner or a manager he told me there was no one there and blew me off. I would seriously reconsider going here ever. The place smells like rancid milk and EVERYTHING is overpriced!!!!! Plus the people who work there clearly have no concept of professionalism or customer service. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!
