I have gotten a lot of furniture through the years there and have been very happy. Have referred many family and friends to go there. Last purchase not so happy with, chairs were different finish then what was on display. They were going to replace them with new ones then told me to bring mine back and they exchange them for what was on display to make sure same finish. I did not check them out at store but after I got home with them noticed the backs scratched up and a small spot on chair that looks like it could rip. Never be in a hurry always double check every piece. Not sure if I will get new living room furniture there when my remodeling is done.

This was my first time buying new furniture and I have to say, I will be a customer for life. We picked out what we wanted on Saturday and its now sitting beautifully in our living room, just 5 days later. 5/5 ⭐️ for customer service, Topher was not pushy or aggressive, but helpful and knowledgeable. 5/5 ⭐️ for quality, the sofa and love seat we purchased are gorgeous and seem super durable so far. They are also made in America, which I am very happy about. 5/5 ⭐️ for prices. All of their furniture seemed to be fairly priced and competitive with the other furniture stores in town. The pieces we bought were reasonable and the delivery was free of charge (brilliant, considering we are ~30 minutes away). 5/5 ⭐️ for speedy delivery and the friendly & incredibly careful, conscious young men who unloaded and set up. I also want to note that when I called to thank them for their quality service the owner himself answered...I just love that. Im so happy we decided on The Comfort Shoppe over a big-box chain store. I highly recommend these folks! They blew the competition out of the water!!

Best place to get furniture. Got my living room set there a year and a half ago, still in amazing condition. The lady that helped us was absolutely wonderful. Nothing compairs to quality and price, Ashley had a very poor selection, lots of stuff but everything was ugly/there was nothing I was in love with, for three times the price

Great prices, attentive, but not overbearing sales staff, the owner was very sweet & accommodating. Free delivery. Best in Janesville. Topher was a top notch salesman! I highly recommend them.

This place is awesome! No vulturistic sales attempts. They asked the right questions and did their best to help. While they didnt have the furniture that we wanted on display, we were able to find it at another store and Comfort Shoppe was able to order exactly what we wanted, get it to us faster, and at a better price. (No delivery charges!!!!!)

Through the years I have bought most of my furniture here this time I didnt find much of anything that I really liked.

The selection was not the greatest. Also, the quality of some of the pieces we looked at were very poor. If you are looking for a single chair or recliner, its not a bad place to start...

Salesman Topher Diehl lured us to come back to order but item was not as he originally represented. Gave him needs, he said he would find exactly what we wanted and contact me. He never followed up. Would hate to have a problem with a purchase. Very poor customer service.

I found the store to be cluttered. Employees seemed disorganized. One older lady employee snapped at a young man employee to help me, he was actually already looking something up for me. She made me uneasy. I was shopping for power rocker recliners. He weaved me through the store to rocker recliners then told me they dont carry them. I can pick out one of those and he would order one. If I cant demo how it works, know the features Im not investing that much in something unseen. Then I heard the lady barking orders at another employee. Not very professional or pleasant enviroment.

I purchased a new bedroom set with mattress and Im very happy. Working with Barb the owner and the other people at the store was wonderful. The Customer Service was great as well as the bedroom set and mattress I purchased. The delivery guys who setup the bed and took the old mattress away were very personable and nice. Great customer service, great product and delivery went smooth. I will definitely purchase from them again in the future.

Good furniture, friendly staff, very poor communication.... Give you the run around about delivery status and product production of furniture purchased. Dropped the ball and never called to let us know that there is a delay with what we purchased in August, would be delivered in mid September and instead of a mid September delivery, its now not known. Would not recommend this furniture store and they just lost a customer....

Topher was excellent to work with, and I would rate him 5/5. However, as a company overall, I thought it was very unprofessional and disappointing. There was no communication throughout the process. We ordered our furniture at the end of October. We were told it should be in by Thanksgiving but guaranteed no later than Christmas. We did not receive our furniture until the second week of March!! We had to call several times to figure out what was going on. Nobody from the company took initiative to call us and update us. A simple call is all it takes to update the customers. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!

I think this is a great store. I bought a high quality apartment sofa from Best Craft manufacturing made here in Wisconsin. It is an awesome sofa for my office, is modern, and well made. I saw one this shops sofas at a relatives, and I made the drive to Janesville just to check them out. They were fantastic at getting me just what I wanted. I got great service, a good solid product, a nice looking sofa they even had in stock, just two days waiting, good delivery, all in all we had a good experience. And the price for American made was just a tad more than those internet sofa sellers which when I tried one was a joke. Best Craft and this store in particular beat the internet and the Madison merchants by a wide margin.

I would have given you 5 🌟 but the place was small and I couldnt buy everything I needed, your delivery man were great and service also. Like I said its just small and parking for me was difficult I have a disability and my truck is too big to park in the disability spot and I have a hard time walking. I didnt mean at as bad report.

It was a GREAT local experience! We moved here 2 years ago from Green Bay (After 30 years) and had some expectations that some local shops just do not have. They let there furniture sit outside in the snow. Snow turns to water, Fabric absorbs water thus destroying the furniture. Suede just gets ruined. Then they sell it for regular price.

They are the best! They are so patient and have great prices. The delivery was prompt, professional and helpful. We will be back!

We have always had great luck at the store on Center Ave. they always have a great selection of current styles, and their prices are by far the best in this area! Jeff (I think, sorry if I got that wrong) is the owners son, and he has a very well run operation out there. To anyone whos had a poor experience at the store on Pontiac, I suggest going out to their South Side location, and let Jeff (I asked my wife, and that is his name) help you out.Our whole house has now come from his store, and everything has exceeded even our high expectations.Top notch service, and always friendly!!

Gave me a sale price that was twice as much as the tagged price. This was the second time I tried to buy from their store. Go to other store on Center St. They will work with you and treat you as a valued customer.

This store is packed with quality furniture. Also, it has fun and eclectic art, and decor. The staff was very helpful and informative. They go the extra mile with customer service. It seems a tad bit cramped in there though.

I am very disappointed in the Comfort Shoppe. They advertise that they have free delivery. I picked out a mattress set that was over my budget but it seemed like a good deal. As I was getting ready to make my purchase, the sales person slyly mention oh by the way since this is such a good sale price there is a delivery fee I hate it when businesses have hidden fees, advertise free but there are always exceptions. It makes them untrustworthy. The end of the story is they lost a $600.00 sale over a delivery fee.

Good luck getting helped. My husband and I went there twice in search of furniture for our apartment, and they pretty much brushed us off for being too young to be seriously interested. Both times we ended up going to Slumberland where someone was actually willing to help us.Either way, the furniture seems excessively overpriced and outdated. There are tons of small wooden decor signs (the ones with phrases) for $30-$40. I mean, really?? I live across the street from this store and they are never busy. Now I know why.

I have purchased many items over the years at the Confort shoppe. I most recently bought 2 chairs and 2 sofas..The sofa I ordered would not fit in my home...Barb most graciously let me return it and order a new one. When I went in and picked out a new one I was given receipt indicating how much I still owed. Today it was to be delivered. I called to pay for it and was told it was over $200 more...I was confused and asked why..The sales lady was very nice and tried to explain why. When she was unable to she gave me someone in billing. The lady was very defensive and would not listen to me..I asked to speak to Barb and was told it was no good talking to her it would be the same answer....l totally lost it..I do apologize for that...However I understand the sales women made a mistake on my original receipt...Stuff happens..But the women was so rude to me I just cant get over it...So I will not ever shop at the comfort shoppe again...Make sure you check and understand your receipt before you leave the store..

We purchased a couch there and were extremely impressed with the service and how friendly everyone was. We did get free delivery to Delavan (from Janesville) and never had an issue. I see the negative comments, but that doesnt reflect our experience one bit!

The women working in there are scowling, unfriendly, and downright unpleasant. So much for shopping local. Just go to a big box, better pricing and equal or better customer service.
