I have moved many times over my life - but this move was by far the best! Everyone was extremely polite and caring. Every piece of furniture was wrapped as if it was a precious antique! The move went very smooth - no issues at all. I would highly recommend these folks to anyone thinking of moving!

I have moved many times in my life and this was the worst experience I have ever hadMy husband and I are senior citizen’s and my husband is having complications from treatment for stage 4 throat cancerIt was imperative that we hired a company that could pack us and unpack us because we were unable to.I paid almost $4000 you get this done they moved us one mileThey were unprepared and unable to finish the packing in one day like they said. They ran out of boxes twice and started using my hefty bags to THROW tings in.They came the next day and still weren’t getting it done my realtor and the buyers realtor and my house keeper were packing.They dumped everything into my garage at my new addressIt gets worse when they came back to unpack me only one guy showed up and he was uselessThey made the boxes so heavy it was impossible to move them. The boxes were marked wrong and it made no sense how they packedIt’s been a month they won’t return my calls they never came back and I still can’t find important things I want money back so I can afford to hire someone to clean up there mess

Excellent service! The team was on time, efficient, courteous, and friendly. They moved 25 commercial washers and dryers and made it look easy. I will use them in the future and I highly recommend them. Great job guys.

The two movers that came on moving out day were polite and courteous and worked diligently to complete job quickly. I still have the second part of my move and my items are in storage, but to this point everything has been fantastic.

WARNING: Please Do Not use this moving company!! They are the absolute worst movers ever. I was planning a move from Rhode Island to Georgia. First they co-mingled my items with another clients and shipped my items to New Hampshire and I received items that belonged to someone else. Furnishings were broken, glass broken, vases broken, and the told me to submit a claim. The offered me $200 for almost $1000 worth of damage that they caused. I had to rent a storage unit to house the items meant for their New Hampshire client. Now I am out an additional $125.00. To top it off the Claims Agent Charlie Peterson was the most arrogant SOB ever. He had the gull to tell me that I NEEDED TO GET MY ITEMS INSURED prior to the move to protect them from any mistakes made by Light House Movers.. I gave up trying to collect because they are obviously not interested in getting my items returned nor are they interested in getting their other clients items returned the them. I think I need to write a review each week to warn anyone considering Light House Movers to look elsewhere. If you have also had a negative experience with this horrible company please write a review so that their rating will decline to the point that no one will ever consider hiring this firm!!!!!

I was promised delivery of my furniture with in 10 days on Aug 21st. on Sept 3rd, I was told my stuff was on a truck and we should have it by the weekend well needless to say it never showed at this point they stopped answering my calls until I finally got a direct # to customer service and still being given broken promises of when my stuff would be delivered. It has now been 22 days since Aug 21 and they expect me to sit home and wait for them to get here and threatening me that if I am not here when they get here thy will put my stuff in storage. Stay away from this company.

We hand picked them over 12 other movers that we had interviewed to move my mother from Florida back home to Illinois shortly after my father passed away. Being a difficult time in our lives, Lighthouse Movers made a very unpleasant experience a very pleasant and easy transition. We used Lighthouse Movers after we sold our home to move into a rental. The team they sent where power houses, no slacking - just a get it done attitude. Ive never seen a group of movers work as hard as they did - from beginning to end we were VERY impressed with them. We will use them again to move from the rental into our new build. Lighthouse Movers was the best choice when it came time for me to move. The movers were quick, but careful at the same time. Nothing was broken, and they made sure my heavy furniture was protected. I just wish I had supervised unloading into the storage unit. Other than that, the experience was great!

I wish I could write a positive review about Lighthouse Movers but, at this point, I cannot. They were great about picking up my household items and storing them for almost a year while my house was being built. They delivered MOST of my things to my new home. However, the delivery caused damage to my walls and doorways. Several items arrived damaged while other items never arrived. I filed a claim with Lighthouse Movers on 3/22/2020. Since then, they have still not settled this claim. While some repairs were made in my home, they have failed to compensate me for the missing items and the items that were damaged beyond repair.Lighthouse Movers has stopped responding to my calls and email messages. It is sad when a business will not stand behind their work and provide reparation when they fail to provide proper service.UPDATE: As of 12/10/2020 this claim has been closed. Lighthouse has reimbursed me at the contractual rate of .60 cents per pound for the missing items and a fair amount for repair of damages.

This most recent move was our second using Lighthouse Movers, Inc. Although both moves were short distances, we were given the same professional treatment each time. Courteous, professional, on time, reasonable and competitive pricing, all the qualities expressed by others in their reviews. Each of our special requests and/or circumstances were handled with care and a great attitude. We were impressed the first time and were happy to use them again. Every person we met was professional and knew how to pack, load and unload with the utmost care for our items. Dan and Jennifer packed our delicate items so well-nothing was damaged. Jacques, John and Clyde loaded/unloaded. All were courteous, knowledgeable and communicated well. Doug, the company owner was right on with his estimates and knows his business well. I researched a dozen movers with quotes and did my homework before selecting Lighthouse and I so glad I did! They were excellent! Highly recommend great value for a reasonable price!

I hired lighthouse movers to move & store my furniture while I renovated a new house. Their storage facility roof was damaged & ruined $8,000 of my furniture. It wasn’t until moving day that I learned my couch, bed and recliner chair were all ruined by water and had become moldy over the months.- LIGHTHOUSE— thank you for alerting any future customers to the fact that the “contract” they sign with your company isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on. You never told me my items were in a crate. YOU NEVER TOLD ME THE ROOF WAS TORN OFF. In fact, you said the warehouse sustained minimal damage, assured me my items were safe and unharmed & continued to collect storage fees. .

The movers caused $1100 worth of damage. Every time I found something else that was broken or damaged the lead worker said to just add it to the list for the claim and it will be taken care of. I submitted the claim with pictures and quotes for replacement on September 30. I have sent several emails and texts trying to follow up to find out when I might receive my claim money. No one including the owner will respond. Today is October 28.

We had a very good experience with Lighthouse Movers! We were given a rough estimate over the phone based on the size of the apartment. This was as both an hourly rate and a length of time for completion. It did take more time than originally guessed; however, Doug kept the cost close to the original estimate. He also accommodated us when we changed the date of the move.We are nearly done unpacking and nothing has appeared damaged. Lighthouse MoversAwesome! Excellent! Highly Recommend!!!!I contacted Doug several months back shopping prices for a move from Florida to Oregon. He came out, game me an estimate, and the price was very fair for such a large amount of stuff. Once we agreed, he brought out a bunch of boxes and a little tape at no additional charge. Our date wasn’t secure but a rough estimate of when our house would be ready, so be penciled in a time.When it got closer to the move, I contacted him gave him an updated best guess. He was very flexible and asked me to keep him informed if anything changed. His crew was scheduled to come out Wednesday, September 23rd, so I called Monday to ensure we were still on his calendar, and of course, we were.We had a very tight timeline and some extenuating circumstances (Sept 23rd pack Florida house, Sept 24th fly to Oregon, Sept 25th close on new house, Sept 27 move stuff from Portland Apt, Sept 29 or 30 receive stuff from Florida to be unloaded into new house).His crew showed up (4 of them with two large trucks). All four introduced themselves. They all worked hard and fast and were very thorough. Later in the day they realized they probably needed a little help (we had over 400 items between furniture, boxes of all sizes, lawn and outdoor equipment, etc.), so they got two additional people to come help (at no additional cost to me other than I chose to tip them).Estimated delivery time was about 6 days, and they called me when they got to Oregon.Unfortunately for me and my family, our Lenders completely bungled our closing (we were supposed to close Friday, September 25th. Neither were they able to close us on the following Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday. So Doug’s guys arrive in Oregon Monday night expecting to unload Tuesday Sept 29th, but I have no house to let them unload into. I call Doug and explain to him our situation, and I ask him if it is possible for his guys to stick around for an additional day and that I will pick up the additional charges (which included needing to change their flights back to Florida). He and his crew graciously agreed!!!!Since out house was still not closed on, I had to scramble to get three 15x10 storage units, and Wednesday, Sept 30th, they unloaded everything into storage for me (now my big headache since I have to pay an Oregon mover to move me from storage to my house when it finally closes). Two additional local guys show up, are just as polite as the Florida crew, and they get all my stuff loaded (like Tetris) into the three units.Doug and his entire crew, including the extended crew he hired, were all AMAZING! Polite, clean, thorough, and efficient. I highly recommend them to EVERYONE! I hope I never have to move cross country again, but if I do, you know who I’m calling…Joel Amar

We had a great experience using Lighthouse Movers for our move from Jacksonville to Tallahassee. They provided a competitive quote, packed up the truck, and delivered it all within a span of a few days despite having to work around holiday schedules. They even helped us disassemble, reassemble, and remove furniture from our new home. We had no issues with any delays or damaged items. A special shout out to Jacquez, who worked both ends of the move and was friendly, professional, and organized. We would definitely recommend Lighthouse to anyone.

Lighthouse Movers did a great job with our move. Their price for moving was better than other quotes that we received. They took a lot of care in shrink wrapping my furniture. The guys stayed with us until the very end. They started moving us around 10:15 a.m. and did not quit until 7:30 p.m. and it was a Sunday. They set up our beds for us and even moved a curio cabinet to another room for me at my request. It was the one of the best moving experiences that we have ever had. It was a very long day, but they didnt quit until they were finished. They even gave us free boxes and tape. We have never had a moving company do that for us before. I would definitely recommend them, in fact, I gave my real estate agent their name and number for his clients that need a moving company. Thanks to Carl and all the guys who moved us.

Got an excellent quote for moving. They were prompt and on time for showing up and giving quotes. The movers took really good care of everything and went the extra leg to tow our motorcycles on a trailer. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is Carl tried to go the cheap and easy route for replacing pieces that hold the shelf up on our end tables by finding cheap replacements from Lowes instead of listening to me when I told him where they came from to get replacements. After I said I would prefer the correct arms from where they originally came from, Carl got them and mailed them out. Besides that, these guys are great! Definitely recommend!

We used lighthouse movers for a move from Florida to South Carolina. It was great. Very professional people to deal with, movers very polite, professional and even humorous. The price was right, and nothing was lost or Broken. Very efficient and very carful with your property and although there were just a couple of hitches regarding time changes, it was a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend them.

These folks moved us from Neptune Beach Florida to Young Harris, Georgia. Service was excellent. I havent seen a group of men work this hard in a long time. All four guys that helped us in Neptune Beach were thorough and got the job done. I only remember the names of Lee & Antonio. When they arrived in Young Harris is was Antonio and Alex. This company moved me from Florida to Alabama in November. They did a good job but they are less than conscientious with follow up. On the day of the move two guys and the dish packer were doing a great job. The 4th one working upstairs alone, was just literally THROWING things into a big box. No order, no wrapping. He just got in a hurry and wanted to be finished. I had told him not to pack anything that was on the bed, it wasn’t going. Didn’t listen and threw my husband’s MacBook, charger and an Apple storage drive right into the box. Who would just throw an expensive computer right into a big box with everything else not wrapped or anything? My husband needed the computer by a certain date as he was leaving the county. I had to overnight express it back to him at a cost of 280. Lighthouse reimbursed me for it but it took almost 2 months and me constantly harassing Carl to get the check. Likewise I had a computer desk and the glass from a large picture frame broken in the move. I filed a claim in January and it’s the third week in Feb.Carl keeps putting me off when I contact him about it. They are a family owned company, they did an ok job for what I paid but getting them to follow up is a hassle. Don’t use them if you are an impatient person.

These people are not what they seem. I hired them because of what seems to be fake reviews. These are not honest people they did at least 4 thousand dollars in damage and made us take delivery a day earlier than agreed. They offered 1 hundred dollars. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these lowlifes! On they dont deserve 1 star more like negative 5.

Nice guys, but they were an hour and a half late to start. On unload day they showed up a man less than quoted and immediately I caught one of the guys hiding one of our laundry baskets in the cab of the truck. When I asked him he said he was taking it home for his twins to play in. Next they discovered they had broken our washing machine. The team lead called Carl, the owner and he said they would take of the repair. Its been a week since, they have had the part for 3 days and I still cannot get them out to repair their damage. Additionally, they broke 2 legs off our desk.The phrase, the nicest guy you ever wanted to kill, describes them perfectly.Lastly, they charged $200 more than the quote because it took longer than expected. Remember, they came with less guys than quoted.Do yourselves a favor, use a professional moving company.

My experience with Lighthouse Movers Inc was very negative. They low-balled the bid then charged me almost double when the move was complete. They lost several boxes of my household goods some of which were very valuable. After stonewalling me for nearly six months they sent me an insulting check for $26.00 which I sent back to them with instructions on where to stick it. Terrible company.

Update: Never heard back from The owner regarding the damages after he told me to send him the photos. Its been 4 months.—I have used this company twice and Its just okay. It seems to be a small company making an effort to improve their growth which is very necessary.Both experiences were to move the same furniture from two different 1 bdrm apartments within the same city (lastly Ponte Vedra Beach), very little furniture, one month apart from each other.-First experience was GREAT. Two guys (Sean and Tei) knew exactly what and how to do everything very professionally and quick. I was very impressed by their skills and respectfulness. Absolute pros!!!-Second experience was mediocre. The move was literally only a mile down the road and even less furniture. Sean and Tei were not available so two different guys came. Im sure they are very nice guys and well intended but they were a little unprofessional (Ill save those details), VERY SLOPPY threw things and dropped several things Im sure without noticing, unintentionally, took a long time in general also because they were struggling to wrap a mattress which was done very effectively by Sean and Tei the first time and then ultimately never wrapped it well and delivered it dirty and sticky.I let everything else I saw go and only addressed the issue with the dirty mattress because its very expensive and it was like new, something I sleep on and no one would want to have their $1300 mattress get dirty.Instead of apologizing they argued with me, they said it was too hard to wrap, that it wasn’t them but the mattress and that they were as good as the previous guys who came the first time. A very petty response.I had mentioned to them previously about taking long and they kindly gave me like a 15-minute discount.It took me two weeks to reach the owner who, after my first experience, I saw here on the reviews he seems to like arguing with everyones review and I find that very unprofessional.I finally got a hold of him on the phone and he told me to email him the photos in order to see the mattress and maybe pay to replace the mattress cover so I did.Its been a month and I still haven’t heard from him back. This comes off very wrong like someone irresponsible who makes messes, takes people’s money and doesn’t clean it up. (I will update the review according to what happens within the next few weeks.)If I owned more expensive furniture would I hire them? NOOOOO (unless and only IF the first two guys were available). I would have a heart attack with the sloppiness I experienced.Do I recommend them? It depends. I think they are making an effort to improve service and will likely and hopefully be better in the future.I think they will improve their professionalism as they grow, starting with the owner who sets the tone for the entire company.Saying they are a 5 star company would be A lie.

Reliable, dependable, helpful, flexible and responsible. Would not hesitate to recommend. Great folks to deal with.

Lighthouse did a great job moving our entire household, they were on time, fairly priced and the 3 movers were efficient and polite.

The two movers that were assigned to my job were incredible and very professional. They made sure everything was safe and secure and got me moved from kernan and JTB to the west side in 2 hours with little prep from my self. It was a one br apartment though. Prompt, professional, and trustworthy!! 5 stars.

Would not recommend using them again. After the move I realized we were missing some boxes including one that had expensive liquor. After i contacted them I was told that the duthe ring storage box with the liquor bottles broke. Why was I not told that when it happen or when they moved my items from storage? Also just realized all my car cleaning supplies are gone. In addition Doug the person who i signed up with never returned my calls. Terrible customer service.

They arrived at the time they stated and the gentlemen we had were extemely professional and did an excellent job. When our new home is ready we look forward to using them again!

Jeff Martin and his crew did an asweome job getting us from Florida to Texas! I would highly recommmend them to everyone to use for your move!

Lighthouse Movers Inc handled a local move for us of some commercial equipment, They finished within 15 minutes of their estimated time. No damages to anything. Ill use them again.

If I could give a zero I would these guys are horrible they only care about the money... they broke a few items they left their drinks everywhere they took breaks every 20 minutes they smoked by our belongings they over charges me and I couldnt tell who was in charge I would recommend everyone to never ever use this horrible so called company... it was a nightmare! Youve been warned!!!

If I could I would give a negative rating to Lighthouse Movers. We packed all moving boxes ourselves and expected Lighthouse Movers to prepare an inventory list, like our previous mover did, but they did not. We had large paintings that Lighthouse Movers packed and which we paid extra for, while we packed all smaller paintings and framed pictures ourselves. Before our household goods were picked up by Lighthouse Movers we took many photos of the paintings, furniture, TVs, etc, to document the condition prior to the move. Once the movers had loaded the truck and departed we checked all rooms and all closets to make sure that nothing was left behind.At the destination, once everything had been offloaded and after the movers had departed we discovered that the glass on a large, gallery purchased painting, which the movers had packed, now was cracked. We also discovered that two boxes did not make it to the destination. One of these boxes contained expensive vitamins and medical supplements, the other kitchen utensils.We contacted Lighthouse Movers. Their response was that the glass on the painting was cracked when they picked it up, that they put a yellow tape on it and that they notified my wife. THAT IS A FLAGRANT LIE, since my wife never witnessed the packing of it and there was no yellow tape on the glass when the painting with cracked glass was unpacked at the destination.They also said that all boxes were offloaded at destination. So if that was true, then two boxes were stolen, or lost, while in transit. It is remarkable that the mover did not prepare an inventory list to be signed by both parties for the protection of all parties.Prior to the move we purchased insurance with a self risk of $1000. Lighthouse Movers says that insurance will not pay because our loss is less than that. In other words they admit that they have no responsibility or accountability for damage or losses that they cause up to $1000, despite the fact that we paid them over $3000 for insurance, 24 hr storage and to move our household goods only about 250 miles.We contacted the Better Business Bureau. Since Lighthouse Movers denied everything, BBB offered arbitration, which we declined since the outcome would be uncertain and the process stressful.We also filed a complaint to Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Like BBB, they were unable to help us.We are seniors in our mid to late 70’s and don’t need the stress and aggravation trying to get compensation from an unethical and incompetent outfit like Lighthouse Movers. But our hope is that those who are looking for a moving company learn from our bad experience with Lighthouse Movers AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISHONEST AND IRRESPONSIBLE MOVING COMPANY.Despite what the owner of Lighthouse Mover says, the fact is that we have photos of the painting hanging on the wall. The photos were taken the day before the move showing no cracked glass. Lighthouse Movers removed the painting from the wall and wrapped it in a moving blanketwhich provides no protection for overload when jam packing it in a truck. The type of crack is typical of overload and not direct impact.If the truck was padlocked, as the owner says, then the two missing boxes were not offloaded at destination.The fact is that the damage to the large painting and loss of two boxes happened due to the incompetence of the mover. No matter what kind of insurance we purchased or did not purchase, Lighthouse Movers caused the damage and loss, and are fully responsible. Insurance has nothing to do with that. Unfortunately, we are dealing with an immature company which is not capable of assuming responsibility for own actions.
