Neat location - liked the outdoor seating with a view of the train and shared patio between Panera and the other restaurant there.Staff was friendly enough - we were the only customers in the shop at the time we arrived, so maybe that is what made the vibe awkward? Otherwise - super yummy ice cream. Definitely recommend.

My husband and I stumbled upon May Day Ice Cream as we were searching for dessert spots in Jacksonville, Florida! We’re on a foodie adventure to find the best food in the country and we have to say that they are absolutely worth visiting!!It was the cutest place ever! When you walk in the smell of their homemade waffle cones hits your nose. The walls are painted super cute!!They have such fun and different flavors!! You can even order a flight of different flavored ice creams so that you can try multiple flavors!! Such a GREAT idea!! All of them were so creamy and packed with mix ins and flavor!!We also ordered the affagato where you pick which flavor of ice cream you want and they top it with fresh espresso!Some of our Favorite flavors were the parent trap. It was a PB ice cream with oreos mixed within. The PB was so prevalent and delicious and made the ice cream so creamy, plus the oreos within gave you a slight crunch and chocolate flavor which was bomb! The Aviator was a chocolate Nutella ice cream that was also super smooth and creamy with fat chunks of biscoff cookie!! The cookie crush was the best cookies in cream we’ve ever had! MASSIVE chunks of oreos and the base legit tasted like the cream of the Oreo! Amazing ice cream. Came on a Saturday night and there wasn’t too much of a crowd at all. Got the small sizes and they were plenty filling.Not the largest variety, but they come with sprinkles and a cookie and is some of the most rich ice cream I’ve ever had.Plenty of parking in the back, which is convenient, and lots of seats!

Our favorite ice cream shop! Love the unique flavors and that they have dairy free options. They add different flavors throughout the year. Staff is really nice and patient. They give my daughter extra sprinkles in a little cup when we ask. The shop is spotless!

Absolutely love this place! Im a big ice cream guy and these people do the frozen treat justice. Excellent accents in taste, complementing textures, and impressively made unique flavors combined with classics make this shop one you cant hate. The aesthetic is adorable too and fits well with the entire plazas theme. Staff is quite friendly too which is something Im keen on as well. Highly recommend this place!

Mayday ice cream is without a doubt my favorite ice cream. I havent had a bad flavor but try cloud 9, its amazing. Perfect trap and mint monster are both great as well. They also have the best sprinkles around be sure to ask for them. A cool tip I just learned is you can get one scoop split into two flavors. Also there scoops are basically how much one person would eat so if you order 2 scoops by yourself you have a lot of ocean to eat.

My boyfriend and I moved to San Marco 5 months ago and needless to say we have walked toMayday for our fair share of ice cream. However every time we have gone in the last 10 times or so, they have been out of Cookie Crush. With never an explanation as to when or if they have more in the back. Not to mention when you do find a flavor you like,I hope you like your ice cream in the consistency of soup because that’s what you will get. The ice cream is pricey, average and the staff isn’t friendly either.

Cookie and sprinkles added to the ice cream are both complementary and optional, so take your pick of one, both, or none!The small is plenty of ice cream for one person and gives you the chance to sample two different flavors. Id recommend splitting the large. Also the floats are ice cream on top of cold brewed coffee, making for a nice pick me up/mid-afternoon treat.

Mayday has such delicious ice cream. I cant stop raving about this place. We stumbled upon this place when walking around. Although there are plenty of options to choose from, what caught my eye was the creamery sign in the window. I ordered the straight strawberry and it was a light pink flavor which is always a good sign.

Mayday mayday! This ice cream is too tasty to put down! My hips are in trouble! Just had their almond butter chip ice cream and it was everything ice cream should be, even though its dairy free. Very creamy, very chocolatey, and super good. The whole place smells like cookies because they make fresh baked waffle shaped cookies that go in your cup. The staff is super friendly and even let my friend try every single flavor before making her selection. 🤣 They sell cold brew coffee from Bold Bean and the sweetened version surprised me on how much I liked it, Im usually a milky coffee type person. Overall, a very cute place, very friendly, and delicious treat any day of the week!

Really good ice cream they have alot of flavors that you can only find there because they make their own ice cream and they also have ice cream with alcohol in them such as a bourbon icecream and there all really good. They also have waffle cones and waffle cookies. The waffle cookies are free when you make a purchase.

I was so excited to see there is an ice cream place open till 10pm during the week! I barely arrived on time and started to apologize to Angus & John that I arrived with only 5 mins to spare- they were so awesome! Very respectful and took their time making sure I enjoyed my experience. Since it was my first time here Angus explained a little bit about the brand and how they make their AMAZING ice cream. I was totally impressed and amazed by how creamy and flavorful it was. He also walked me through all the flavors and let me taste everything.I will without hesitation be back for more!!! Note: they also sell packaged ice cream. Seriously recommend stopping by. It’s probably the most creamy and smooth ice cream I have ever had in my life. Get the pumpkin flavor.🤪

Ice cream is tasty but if you are looking for a safe gluten free place, probably not the place for you. I asked the cashier if they had any that she knew were gluten free and she looked at me like I spoke another language then she said “I think they all have gluten in it”. Then another cashier said “I think only the diary free ones are gluten free”. Not sure they are even aware what “gluten” is.

A definite stop if you like good ice cream. The selection is excellent. The service was attentive and helpful but most importantly the ice cream was high quality an very good.

Perfect spot for this great little ice cream place from St. Augustine. Interesting and delicious flavors with a clean modern decor and friendly staff. Theyll let you try anything. Theyll let you try everything. I think the prices are a little heavy but still getting a 5 star from me. A great addition to the train station. Could be the cherry on a date night.

Ice cream flavors were great except for the salted caramel was too salty to eat. The problem was what was found in the ice cream, aviator, a small plastic piece an inch and half long was embedded in the ice cream which i found while eating. when notifying the staff all they could say is that they can make me a new one.........i advised them maybe they should pull the ice cream and all i got was........nothing. only one staff member apologized and when asking for the managers information, they gave me an invalid email address. WARNING CHOKING HAZARD AND WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE IS IN THAT ICE CREAM

Ice cream...it was definitely good ice cream once I found the flavor. My ultimate reason for the rating was customer service. The customer service from the guy who served me was not what you would call “a cheery or friendly guy”. I went to try 3 different flavors and those 3 I tried just didn’t work. With a line backing up behind me, I decided to wait to get ice cream, and his words were “you tried the wrong 3 flavors” with an eye roll shown after that was said. With the tone of voice used and the eye roll, this was enough for me to know I probably should go back in, but I did wait until the line died down to take time and try another one. While I did find an ice cream that worked for me, it was his attitude and demeanor that belong in this eating.

I was really looking forward to trying out this place but I was disappointed after my visit. The place smells amazing, as they make the waffle cones in house but they lack many basic ice cream flavors.I visited with friends and two of us ended up with no ice creams to enjoy because we prefer cookie dough and bañan split. None of these options were available and they didnt not have any similar flavors.

Stopped in to grab some ice cream during an evening celebration. We were pleased to find five different non-dairy options - it was hard to pick a flavor! The almond butter chocolate was delicious, the chocolate coconut was tasty, and the dirty chai was a surprise (and fantastic!). Cant wait for our next visit!

Mayday is a locally owned ice cream shop, with all unique flavors! There is a great deal of variety too. I havent had them all, by I can highly recommend coffee and donuts, the parent trap, blueberry toast crunch, and straight strawberry. This location replaced a Hyppo right by the train tracks in San Marco. You can grab dinner at La Nop or a beer at Aardwolf before heading over for dessert! Great place to take the family, and you can take home pints!

I have not eaten ice cream anywhere else since Mayday opened! So fresh, creamy and delicious.Today, the ice cream connisuer noticed my sons Gator t-shirt and talked about high school, college and IB programs. It was so thoughtful and customer service like that with a personal connection made our visit sweeter.

The location is really cool, its just off the train tracks, so you get to see every train that passes!The ice cream is really good too! I Went there today and I Loved it. The little shop is adorable and the three ladies behind the counter were darling! So sweet and helpful. The flavors were a little strong but once I found the caramel flavor I was in heaven! I Would recommend this place to anyone traveling to Jacksonville.

First time I visited was the San Marco location. THEY HAVE DAIRY FREE OPTIONS. Last night we went to the Jax beach location since we live a lot closer we were very happy to hear this one just opened up. The ladies working were super sweet and made the visit that much more enjoyable. The cookies weren’t as they usually taste but I figure they are still working out the kinks in their new spot. Took home cool stickers and pins along with our ice cream. They also carry The Hyppo Popsicles which is a plus. Don’t miss out on this great spot!

Good evening, the reviews for Mayday are good for the ice cream. But the service seemed like they get had no interest in being there. Additionally, we ordered some espressos and a crazy thing is they didnt have any cream. This could have been just a fluke, so I will be willing to try it again souly due to the ice cream.

First time here and will be back. Had the Raja Honey and the Strawberry Mint Sorbet. Both were seriously impressively amazing. Sad Ive been sleeping on this place.

There is really isnt anything not to love about this place. I mean you get to have handmade ice cream in some flavors you cannot find anywhere else. From Coffee and Donuts to Roja Honey which taste like green tea and honey. You cannot go wrong and with free Gillette or sprinkles. And also house made waffle cones. You cant go wrong definitely worth a stop in.
