Before you hit up a home depot or lowes, stop here first. These guys are great. Im a homeowner who doesnt want to hire a plumber every time my wife gives me a project. While Im pretty handy, sometimes I have questions and need parts. These guys do it all. And, if you need a plumber, they have some good suggestions. Prices are very good and you can get the quality you want. The best part is, if you just need to make a repair, they have the parts for that.

They went to great lengths to make sure they fixed a plumbing issue that had occurred during the construction of our home. Fast delivery of the necessary parts to make it right.

Had an issue with my shower faucet switching valve. I called ahead of time to make sure they had the parts needed and was assured they had it. When I arrived and explained my situation Doug was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. He walked me through the repair and made sure, before I left, I knew exactly what needed to be done. I had been to several hardware stores.Called plumbing supplies places, researched Delta products. Finally man at Curry Thomas told me about A 1. He was correct. A1 had the Delta bathtub spout I needed for a very reasonable price even told me how to install it. These folks were wonderful. I will be returning here for all my plumbing needs

There is 100 years of plumbing experience and you might pay a little more but 99 percent of the time you get American made or the best product on the market and the know how to fix your problem once. The local plumbers buy from them and ask for help when they are in need.

I have some of the rarest faucets you can find and these guys had exactly what I need!! Only gave 4* due to steep price. Other than that, the guys were spot on, knew what I needed and had it in stock! Phenomenal! I recommend this place if you need any plumbing products and you cant find a better value at your standard Home Improvement locations.

I used to go all over Jax to other plumbing supply places, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. My brother always chided me for not going to A1 PS. Finally I started using the company. Steve and Doug offer professional advice that I usually cant get at the big box stores and they are 1/4 mile from my house. I pay a little more but my problems are solved much faster. If I have a problem I can get back over to them quickly. These guys just save me time and give me competent advice. Plus Steve knows my brother. So Im doing business with a small business and they need the support of the public. They really are probably a lesser known plumbing supply outfit but they can still help you. MANY plumbers use these guys but somehow they are still under the radar of most people.

I have given a lot of thought to a horrible event that occurred at A-1 Plumbing Supply, Jacksonville before deciding to post this as I felt intimidated and scared. I have spoken to several people and all agreed that I should voice this matter so that others are not ambushed at their store.On February 15, 2019. I was greeted by Doug Cooley and began to explain my needs to repair a bathtub drain when Steve Cooley saw me and heard my explanation, he got up from his desk and approached me in an aggressive manner. He leaned over the counter, grabbed the papers from my hand that I was trying to show the both of them on an item (not purchased at his store) that needed repair and he told me to take this junk (meaning the papers) out and never come back to his store and to go to the store where it was purchased. They both accused me of never shopping at his store which is not true. I was so shocked that I asked Steve, so I am not allowed to ask for assistance on what part I needed to purchase?He stated, your damn right and there is the door and dont come back.I left quietly and in disbelief.After giving some more thought, it had occurred to me that perhaps these brothers were angry because I did not purchase a Toto Washlet back in September 2018 when I had inquired about it. The reason that I did not buy it was because A-1 Plumbing has a no return/refund policy. The item that I was interested in cost $1,800.00 which I would not buy absent a refund policy in place in the event I did not like it.Additionally, after researching the product and finding it for nearly 1/2 the price that the Cooley brothers were going to sell it to me, thus, I decided not to buy one at all as I felt like I was being taken advantage.He said that he had the Toto Washlet in stock as a person ordered it and then changed their mind, leaving them stuck with the product in inventory. Apparently, he had wanted me to take the item off his hands.Lastly, contrary to their accusations of my never spending money there is not true. I have purchased items such as water heaters and various plumbing parts for my home. While I may not be an exclusive buyer to A-1 Plumbing Supply, I tried to shop there when I frequent Jacksonville as I live an hour away. I have been shopping there since 2005 through 2014.Consumers beware. I suppose the Cooley Brothers are happy that they got to shout and scream and me, I would never rise to their level.

Good service, knowledgeable, can make wise recommendations. Parts can be pricy, but higher quality than big box. Recommend to anyone making their own repairs, and want the materials to last.

A-1 Plumbing Supply has helped us twice and saved us money both times. They have gone above and beyond in answering our questions. On our first repair a plumber installed the wrong valve cartridges in our garden tub faucet, charged us over $300, and the faucet still didnt work. We got our money back from the plumber after A-1 helped us find and fix the problem for $40 worth of parts. They gave us detailed instructions which made the repair easy to do. Then we called them when we needed a new water heater. We got a great water heater and they helped us find an honest, skilled plumber to install it. We will always call A-1 Plumbing Supply.

I like using this store for items I cant pick up elsewhere. Their location is great when I am in the monument road area.

If you have a plumbing need, and want solid material and advice go to A--1. I had a problem connecting a well pump using big box plastic fittings. A-1 set me up with galvanized fittings for 12 bucks and change so I avoided a $400.00 well company service call. BTW, they are nice people.
