I would like to thank Andy Morris and his outstanding team at Empire surfaces. The experience with your company has been a smooth transition with the installation on the new countertops, for my kitchen and bathrooms. The service you guys provided was out of this world. I would like to thank you for all the great craftmanship and hospitality you and the rest of the crew showed us. We couldnt be more please with the product you have put into our home once again. Pictures do NO justice.
About 4:50 pm last night, pulled out into an open lane on Phillips hwy from Shad road, but as I was pulling out, the Empire truck decided to change lanes into the lane is was pulling out into. There was almost a crash. But what happened after that was scary. I was behind their truck until I took an off ramp. The driver of their truck slowed down so he next to me and then moved over into my lane trying to run me off the road and was blowing the horn. Then the guy with him on the truck gave me the finger. I tried calling their office but they had closed at 4pm. I would not want these type of workers in my house. This is the type of workers they employ?
This company is super arrogant. They called me while I was at work to set up an AppointmentI made a mistake so I called them right back to reset up a new appointment they got mad and Canceled my jobThe job was started in September and now were going into the end of November.
Great place. They did my new countertops. Decided to add a breakfast nook. They are straight foward and easy to work with.
Empire Surfaces was excellent from start to finish in their role during a recent project we finished. Andy coordinated a countertop removal and replacement to fit our precise schedule. The team that did the work was professional and efficient. They were able to remove and preserve some large and expensive pieces to ensure that our project stayed on budget. We highly recommend Empire and we will use them again.
Great Service and professionalism. This company was on time every time for the measurements and install. They do excellent work and respect your house and cleanup after the job. You will not go wrong using Empire Surfaces!!!
This was my second time using Empire Surfaces and it was just as good as the first time. The service and communication was fantastic. There was an issue with one section not matching, and Andy, Tammy, Mike and the other install people were quick to fix the situation with no hesitation. I would only use Empire Surfaces. The prices are competitive and scheduling was a breeze.
Top quality product. Top quality people. Andy and his staff treated me with the upmost respect. Taking my every detail and making it my dream. I would recommend them 100% anytime over any other company. Thank you to all the staff at empire surfaces. Amazing work !!!
Empire Surfaces did an excellent job on my Kitchen. I used both Granite and Quartz and it came out amazing!!! Thank you to the experienced staff in the office and the awesome installers for making this experience so easy. I would recommend them to anyone.
Great Experience! Tammy kept me updated throughout the process and the installers did a nice job. Wish I could say the same for Cabinets-To-Go who provided my cabinets...absolutely horrible quality and customer service.
Andy and his staff are very professional. Very clean and their attention to detail is over the top. He made sure that our kitchen was exactly what my wife wanted. We are over the top satisfied with the quality and service. And would recommend them to all
Not the best workers/installers ~ the one guy was absolutely nasty. I stepped in to take a peek and when he rounded the corner to enter the kitchen he totally ran me out of there! I dont remember his name, but boy did I feel like I was trespassing in my own house. And dont bother calling to report anything, Andy is so contentious that you are always wrong no matter what you say - could barely get a word in, and when I did he didnt seem to even listen, much less care.
Andy is pretty hard to deal with ~ he does most of the talking and seemingly none of the listening. So our concerns were a mute point ~ even though they had to come back the following week to redo the counter top, they are always right no matter what you say. Lowes really needs to find a decent installer for their products.
I am the owner of Kitchen Envy in Atlantic Beach, we design and install custom cabinetry. Empire is one of my favorite sources for countertops. They do what they say they will do and are great at fabricating quartz. This is my first go to when a client is looking at Quartz product. Thanks Andy and Team for all your hard work on my jobs and most importantly for leaving my clients happy!
So far so good, visit to view our new countertop. It was a pleasure speaking and meeting the owners. Nice showroom, clean. I will add pre and post install photos. Im positive it will look great.
The other negative reviews are totally correct about this company. Andy will argue the point even when they are clearly in the wrong. Theyll blame anyone but themselves to avoid having to correct the issues they create by using inexperienced workers. Our counter tops had to be redone solely because the installer didnt know what he was doing, which put us 8 days behind schedule. And now they even deny that we were a customer!
Tanya and the whole team at Empire are attentive, professional and a pleasure to work with! Not only is the sales staff great, but the installers are extremely skilled. We recently remodeled our kitchen and because of Tanyas knowledge and excellent customer service the whole process was practically seamless! Would highly recommend Empire Surfaces!!
I needed some help with Granite bathroom counter tops and they were awesome! They do great work and reasonable prices. What stood out was their attention to detail and exceptional customer service. I recommend this company to anyone in the Jacksonville area.
We moved to Jacksonville in 2015 and had to renovate the kitchen and master bathroom of our new home. We found Empire Surfaces to have very knowledgeable staff, who were also very friendly. The team who took the measurements of the kitchen and bathroom counters were absolute professionals, and they installed both counter tops in less than a day - and perfectly. There was no hitch, they were on time and both counter tops look perfect. We highly recommend Empire to anyone who has renovation work to do; we cannot say enough good things about them!
Nice place
This is a nefarious company. My friend & I both had counter tops installed by them a few months apart, and we both had issues with both the job and Andy. So my friend left a negative review and they contacted google and denied that she was ever a customer and had the review nullified. Additionally, they posted 3 positive reviews within a day to pad their rating. This is a very bad company whose rating it truely around 2 so dont be fooled. If you use them, you will likely be sorry you did!
The crew that came to my home was very professional. They removed the old countertop and installed the new one . Can’t say enough about these guys ! Great job !
We purchased through Lowes who uses Empire as their installer for counter tops and back splash. Definitely not the best company; extremely low quality work, belligerent employees, and slow to even attempt to rectify their own errors, which are many. And when we contacted the company, Andy only argued. As long as Lowes uses Empire, we will never purchase through Lowes again.
Great Company Wonderful staff. Loved the installers. Wonderful Company to work with.
I am very disappointed in this place. We got our countertop from them about 2 years ago for our business. We are satisfied with our countertop, installation and Andy when he sold it to us. A couple of months ago we called three times trying to get a reestimate on redoing the countertop, left his secretary the message all three times for Andy to call back. NONE so far. Never recommending anybody here in the future nor coming back. Horrible business people.
They do great work and reasonable price. Would highly recommend to any homeowner.
The installer for our last countertop install at our former home used a laser system to measure for the countertops and create a template. This system is able to account for irregularities that are present in walls so that they fit perfectly, thereby eliminating the need for onsite adjustments. This company does not use lasers, just an old fashioned inaccurate tape measure. So it wasnt surprising that the countertops did not fit properly and had to be trimmed onsite. But like most walls, our are slightly bowed in the center so trimming does not make them fit and as a result we have 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch gaps which prove the superiority of the laser system. So how did the Empire installer handle this issue? He filled the gaping hole with caulk and called it a day. Never again will we allow this company anywhere near our house as they lack the professional approach necessary to achieve the desired results.
Empire Delivers. Period. Andy, the owner, explained to me the difference between quartz and granite (beyond the fact that one is manmade and the other is natural) and told me he knew his prices were better than pretty much any other fabricator in town. True enough, I had already priced with several others, and he came in lower. Better yet, the templaters and installers were great guys who clearly knew what they were doing. Its a local family business and in this case, thats EXACTLY what you want. I couldnt be happier with our choice. We also got from template to install way faster than I was expecting - only ten days. Highly recommend!
Great experience, scheduling was awesome, our vanity top is absolutely beautiful!!!! Highly recommend!!!!
Outstanding quality work. The installers were great
Did a great job resurfacing existing counter tops. Did the job for half the price of others with the same result. Would highly recommend to any homeowner.
When I came to their store a few weeks ago I was looking to possible purchase counter tops for my bathroom since they were the contractors doing the kitchen counter top install for Lowes. At the time the owner Andy mentioned that there was a piece out back that they MAY be using for my kitchen counter top install. I didnt pay it much mind as I purchased through Lowes and they were just installing. Fast forward two weeks and the piece was being installed in my house and I saw the defects that look like rust or wine stains on two of the installed pieces. Defects are one thing and they can make pieces look unique but this looks like a stain. I called Lowes to complain about the appearance and after a couple of days the manager got back with me and said Andy told me to look at the piece they planned on installing and see if it met my satisfaction which was a blatant LIE and that he was unable to do anything about getting it fixed. It was never brought to my attention that I should go look at it and that it might have defects and I could request a different piece. I assumed that the professionals made sure they didnt accept pieces that were this defective or attempted to pass them off to customers. If that were brought to my attention that stone could look this messed up I CERTAINLY would have taken the time to look the piece over with a fine tooth comb. Lowes is giving me a $500.00 credit which was basically just a portion of their profit. Will cost me about $2,500.00 to get fixed. If you like being lied to and want to do business with someone who has no ethics then Andy is your man!
Great sales staff and installers. Great prices and selection.
This company has taken months to install countertops when purchased from Lowes. Furthermore, the staff they send to your house will try to upsell what was purchased, they dont follow the orders from Lowes, and they blame the home owner when things dont go right. The employees are rude, obnoxious, and should never be allowed in someones home. When I reported this, I never received an apology from the company and the next person they sent out was not really wanting to work with us either and had to have the manager of Lowes present to ensure things went smoothly. I will always remember this experience and will tell anyone who asks not to use Empire for countertops. If there is any problem at all during installation, you have to wait another 3-4 weeks for them to come out and install them. Not sure if the problem is from going through lowes or not, but Ive spoken with other GCs who have told me this is common for Empire.
I had countertops installed by empire, all good until aprox 2 years after, I noticed a gap in caulking. I called empire, I asked if they had my color caulk as the sales rep went to pull my file. She scheduled someone to come out. The service person did and promptly caulked with a clear caulk. (I had been working in the sun on a white surface and could tell was caulked, but could not detect the difference). When I called empire, I was asked to repeat the story twice, When repeating the story ANDY asks me not to be RUDE!!! and hung up on me.I had a project scheduled for counters in another property I own and have given out the empire name in the last week to 3 friends in the AVONDALE area, simply because of the perceived customer service. Empire you lost my job and I am not only calling my three friends and repeating the story, for free to everyone in Avondale I come across!. Sorry for YOUR rudeness
