The transmission in my 2017 Chevy Suburban needed a complete rebuild after only 88,000 miles. DCT & Autocare performed a complete tear down inspection and rebuild using the best quality components and kits. They also have a 3 year / 50,000 mile warranty on the rebuild, too!Their quality, work ethic, and professionalism are unsurpassed. The text and email updates were a nice feature to keep me informed of the work progression. Will definitely return for future trans fluid changes.

These men here are amazing. After calling a few shops that wouldn’t touch my car (because it has a CVT transmission ) these guys were eager to do it. They are incredibly friendly and keep you very well informed even if you’re like me and don’t speak car. They send pictures and update you on every step of the way. On top of all of that they are more efficient than any shop I’ve ever been through they completely removed and replaced my transmission and all my mounting brackets in three days. 100% will not be letting another shop touch my car after this experience.

Clean smelling shop. Put my truck in on the afternoon on the 3rd of May for transmission problems. Got it back on today the afternoon of the 11th of May. Im glad they are as meticulous as they are. Turns out I had 2 faulty fuel injectors. Since it was there I had them do a tune up and overhaul the rear end. I will definitely use them again. Sure they aint the cheapest or fastest in Jacksonville, but Im after quality workmanship. I think they pulled through with flying colors. We really liked these guys. We had a warrant carry over from up north and they are like the only place that does the Napa warranty work. They were a relaxed bunch and got the truck fixed up in a matter of days instead of weeks to which we were grateful.

This is my second time coming to Clay County Transmission. The first time they confirmed it was not my Transmission at no cost. The second time, they confirmed it was not my engine. I initially took my vehicle to the dealership. They did a diagnostic test and informed me that it was the engine and it would cost around $5000 to fix. I had my vehicle towed from the dealership to Clay County Transmission where they looked at my vehicle, ran their test and confirmed that it Was Not the engine. They fixed the problem for under $1000. I am extremely happy and impressed with their services. They requested that I bring the vehicle back after two weeks to recheck - at no cost. The people who works here are honest, hard working and reliable. You can Trust what they tell you about your vehicle. I Trust the people therefore I have recommended the Company to my brother and would recommend to other family members and friends.

At first I thought my day had gone from medium to super bad really fast. The Owner Tony and John and his Tonys family really rallied together to help me out. I had never been there before however they treated me like I had been a long time customer and spent lots of money. In the end of what I thought was going to be a very bad experience they turned it around for me. I have to say it has been a long time since I was treated with this much respect and had the staff truly go out of their way to help me. I applaud the staff and the diligence that they showed. The experience wasnt bad, the only issue I have with them is that when I droppes off my vehicle to them I did not have any warning lights on my dash. I picked the truck up 2 days later and i now have 2 warning lights on my dash.

This is my fourth visit for services and every car issues I have were taken cared of right away professionally followed up with an online quote and a phone call reassuring that the job will be accomplished as promised. Also provided advice on what to expect in maintenance and repairs in the near future. Their honest assessment of the needed repairs and maintenance surely give me a peace of mind. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

This place is a great shop. I took my family from orange park fl to north east missouri to see family. After being up there three weeks we were on 295 and blanding when the transmission decided it had enough. I had a warranty called clay trans and John set up a toe the next day. The transmission they ordered didnt show up instead it was the wrong one. They sent it back and the company sent them the right one. I was sent text messages and updated pretty much daily. They take time to talk to people and tell you whats going on. Id like to thank Tony, John and the crew for a great job done.

The amount of professionalism and tact by not only the staff, and mechanics, was unbelievable! Had the clutch go out on my mustang while in town from out of state, and they had the parts and job done in next to no time. They also were able to identify and fix other issues I had no clue about. They documented and recorded everything with photos and clearly went over everything and were able to answer all my questions and concerns. Gotta say Ill be back many times with all my car needs when Im here visiting family. Id rate a 10+ if It was an option!

I ended up not having a problem with my transmission. There was a hiccup with getting a part outside the state that delayed my repair, but that was not the fault of the shop. They found the problem and fixed it in a timely manner, and the cost was fair. The staff was friendly and helpful. It’s a little far away for me, but I would recommend them to anyone in the area.

I am so glad I brought my car here and would highly recommend you to do the same. My aunt highly recommended this place but what sealed the deal for me to leave my car in their possession was the fact that they were Christians and veterans. Gary, Tony, and Jeff were who I dealt with the most. They were extremely helpful, patient and detailed with explaining everything that I needed to get done. My car had a lot of issues and I needed it to be in great shape in order for me but in the end they returned my car in better shape than how I left it.

Hands down, best shop around. Our car broke down 3 hours from home, we stayed in a hotel down the street and these guys came through with us in mind and got us back on the road within hours (including trouble shooting the exact issue with the trans/ wiring harness). Our weekend trip was salvaged because of this shop. Thankfully we took our car there. I put 5 stars because there wasnt room for 6.

They did a great job on my 1986 Dodge Ram. I drove it there with a hole in the 727 case, and they was able to source all the parts. Excellent attention to detail, during the repair he took the time to show me exactly what happened and how he was going to repair it. I am happy to recommend them to others. On top of that John and crew were great guys to work with.

Al talks a good game, that he wants to help, that he has been a mechanic for 32 years and doesnt like the industry because of the dishonesty, and that he is a Christian. SIMPLY STATED HE IS THE MOST UNDERHANDED DISHONEST PERSON I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!! I have never written a review on anything but this guy is not to be trusted!! He tried to charge me $1,680, after a 10% discount because he wanted to help me, for rear wheel bearings on my wifes 2010 Mazda CX-9. I showed him that 3 places for the entire hub on both sides was $400 total with a 3 year warranty. His was 2. Please look it up yourself before you go there!! He scared us saying its a safety issue and he met my 6 year old boy and wouldnt want anything to happen to him. Scared to death, My wife took it to a good friend who happened to be a mechanic for 42 years and he said there was absolutely nothing wrong with the rear wheel bearings she just needed new tires. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE!!!

These folks are really good at what they do. I had a transmission conversion done from a powerglide to a 700R4 and it was completed in a reasonable amount of time at a reasonable rate. GREAT job guys and gals!!!

I have to say that these guys are strait up. I wasnt recommended by anyone I had a transmission leak and I was riding down 103rd and seen the sign. Fair, honest, friendly, professional and reasonable is what I can say and folks always say the first impression is the best impression, well got damn it Im impressed. Tony and Gary have taken great care of my cars since I stumbled upon them a couple years ago. My wife recently got stuck on the hwy 5 mins until closing. Twenty and met her, gave her a ride to a car rental place and came back to tow my car. Amazing service that he didnt have to do. Fantastic service! They have truly earned their rating. Our family vehicle broke down in the middle of the intersection, just outside the Jacksonville cruise ship terminal, on our way back home to Iowa, on a Saturday. Most other places were either closed or werent going to be able to get us in until the following Monday.I spoke with Tony, the owner on the phone and he guaranteed me at the very least, a diagnosis by the end of the day. He didnt try to bs us or give us some run-around money pit speech. He explained what the problem could be based on what we had told him about the situation and kept us informed throughout the entire process.Tony was true to his word. Understanding the nature of our emergency (being stranded so far from home) having been there himself, he made it a personal point to take care of us. The mechanics had us fixed up within a few hours and we made it safely home (all 1300 miles) with no further problems.Thank you to Tony and everyone at Clay County Transmission for all your help!

I don’t usually write a review but in this case I fell compelled to. We brought our son down from GA. when his Jeep transmission (we will just say it gave all it could) when someone referred us to Al. Well he restored my faith in that there are fair people and business owners out there (just hard to find). We came in on a Saturday broken jeep with the hopes of being done on Thursday so we could return back to GA. Al gave it a good once over maybe even a twice over and identified a couple of other things that need some attention, he explained everything that needed to be done. He didn’t try to add a lot of stuff like some shyster’s might do but instead he helped when we needed it. He completed everything by Wednesday and we were able to get the Jeep to my son before we had to head back. I cannot say thank you enough hence this review. Thanks Al.

This was hands down the best experience we have ever had with a mechanic period! Tony and his team are communicative, pleasant, and professional. They also were very reasonable in terms of costs (saved us 2k over the dealer) and really know what they are doing. They fixed my fiancés transfer case and took the time to show us why it broke because of another shop putting in an incorrect part which stands to allow us to recoup financially from the other shop. They took my calls over the weekend so I could shop for a cheaper part directly instead of a whole specialized axle. They took us for a test drive when it was done and scheduled a follow up check. Great team!! You have our transmission business anytime and our referral for anyone who will listen.
