Called on a Thursday, Paul told me they didn’t have availability until the next Wednesday but I could bring my car in and they would help me out when they could. I dropped my car off on Friday, and on Monday I got a text saying it was ready! Paul let me know it was a simple fix, and gave me a good price because of it. Will definitely come again for any car trouble.

ORTEGA CC always does a great job!

Supplier parts would not fit my Mustang even though Wilwood said that the parts were correct. Paul worked out the parts problem and made some modifications to make the installation satisfactory. Any other repair shop would just given up and said I cant do it.

What a wonderful repair shop! You see, here in Jacksonville, honesty, integrity, and professionalism, are rarely found. However, the owner at this shop, and his crew are different. They actually help the customer in every way they can. I take ALL my cars there, and Ive got more than a few, Great shop!

I lived with my car making the worst noises from my A/C fan going out for a while, I have a Toyota Hybrid so no-one would touch it unless it was the dealer. As I was driving in, there was a terrible noise coming from my brakes, I asked if they could look at that as well. They fixed both in the same day! Very friendly service, always answered all of our questions, we got a quote before they did any work. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing car repair. Cindy and Paul were very professional and kind.

I went in for regular maintenance and new spark plugs (normal replacement after 70k miles). I needed my car back that day so I could get to work the next day, and they quickly ordered the parts and finished the replacement that same afternoon.

I needed a new headlight and the dealership told me they couldn’t get me in until late next week. I googled Auto Care and chose Ortega Car Care based on the distance from my house. When I got there, Cindy Smith got all my information and by the time I was done with that- my car was finished! She was super down to earth and very understandable. Plus! They didn’t charge me an arm and a leg for labor and parts.

We had our vehicle towed to this repair facility based, in part, on their relatively positive reviews and proximity.The first red flag was their request for a deposit to work on the vehicle after their so-called diagnostic fee was already charged. No reputable repair shop should require a pre-payment in the form of a deposit to cover the entire cost of repairs. Their reasoning, the cost of recommended repairs to the vehicle was, in their estimation, greater than its constructive, residual value. Apparently, they fancy themselves vehicle appraisers too, not just incompetent con artists mechanics.We needed the vehicle repaired in a timely manner so we paid the deposit. The results of their vehicle diagnosis was a radiator in disrepair, this was a false conclusion as they later admitted to not actually performing any sort of thorough inspection or diagnosis. They claimed the vehicle was too low on fuel to start and leave running long enough to bring it up to temperature and pressure test the cooling system. So, they ordered a replacement for a working, serviceable radiator unit. The first part they ordered was incorrect and caused further delays to order the correct part, an overpriced aftermarket part.We paid in full and drove away from their shop and no less than two miles down the road the vehicle began to overheat as ethylene glycol entered the cab; revealing the actual cause of the initial breakdown as a heater core in disrepair. Conclusion, we overpaid to have a working radiator replaced and the true nature of the breakdown, a leaking heater core was not discovered until it nearly suffocated the vehicle occupants with heated noxious gasses because the mechanics at this facility were too lazy to competently inspect and service this vehicle

Paul has taken care of my 1996 Bronco for years. He always has the time to help me with it. He even once rode with me to help me start it when it broke down in a parking lot once. There is no one that I would trust more other my Bronco.

Im always worried about getting ripped off by an automotive place or taken advantage of for my lack of car knowledge, but that was not the case at Ortega Automotive. The problem was fixed for a reasonable rate and I was told that I did not need a tune-up or new spark plugs like I thought I did. I will be coming back here from now on and telling all my friends about this place!

I have found Ortega Car Car to be the most honest and pleasant place to have my car serviced.They have done some amazing work on my 2004 Acura TL. From replacing the engine, new struts and shocks, front brakes, belt tensioner, etc.I hope to never need to go anywhere else for my needs in the future.

Well I take my truck because I saw the reviews and I thought it was a good place but they were trying to charge me $500 for a tune up they tell me the plugs kit and wire cost $390 and I call Napa and Chevrolet parts and service and the price was under $150 in both places, I speak with this people and let them know that I find out about the price and they agreed to fix my truck for $350 any ways DONT TRUST THIS SHOP I will never bring my truck again to this place my mechanic was busy this day and will never change him again the best place to take your car is B&D AUTOMOTIVE they never tried to over charge you
