My daughter borrowed my car for a few months and returned it with the brakes grinding metal on metal. II’ve had bad experiences with brake repair before, so I studied The reviews on a few sources and chose this place. Bill, the owner, was pleasant and helpful from hello. His knowledge base was immediately evident and it was clear that quality and safety really mattered to him. The job was completed quickly and well at a very reasonable cost. I have lived within 2 miles of this shop for the better part of 30 years. I should have been using them all along!

I went in for a pre purchase inspection. The guys took their time and completely went through the car to find everything that was wrong. They then went out of the way to help prioritize the list of issues to make sure the car got fixed with safety and major concerns first. Great team! Fair pricing! You guys won my business. I am so happy my car decided to overheat right in front of Sandalwood. It was 15 minutes prior to their opening, and even though they were completely booked, they checked out my car the same day and had it back to me the next day. I hate getting car maintenance done, but if you have to.... Customer service guy is very friendly. No problems with work. Auto part store is next door so they can get parts quickly. Prices for labor are always high no matter what shop you go to. Might as well try to enjoy the experience.

I dont normally leave reviews but Im extremely upset. I took my car in because there was a delay in starting. They did a diagnostic and told me my battery cables were corroded so I needed a new one and an oil change. I authorize it over the phone. A few hours later I get a call asking if I noticed any overheating and I say no. Well supposedly they found a leak in one of tunes of the radiator. I ask how much and Im told over 400 to fix. I refuse the service because I have had NO overheating problems whatsoever. Im told that I really need it and I still refuse due to not experiencing this issue. I later pick up my car. And go to drive home and it starts overheating 3 minutes into the drive. How can that be? It was fine when I dropped it off that morning. I take it back and they show me where my leak was. There was no leak the tube was completely disconnected from where the radiator cap was. How did that happen. He said it was a small leak when he told me about it. How did the tube go from a small leak with no over heating to completely disconnected from the radiator cap to overheating as soon as I drive away. They fix it because I have no choice at this point. I dont get a tube replaced that connects from point a to point b on the car. I get a new radiator??? Why? Im a single mom with two kids who just spent almost a thousand dollars in repairs that wouldnt have happened if I had just gone elsewhere.

We took our 2017 Honda Civic, 40K miles, to Honda at the Avenues, they told us we had an electrical problem, and the repair would cost, $7,660…..no kidding, we said the same thing, What? I called Bill at NAPA, explained the problem, he said “bring it in we’ll look at, but this sounds like a lot of work for a car this young”. Took it to Bill, he diagnosed, and said two things were unplugged, his tech plugged them back in and all seemed to be good. We picked our car up, asked Bill how much…….$198! What a relief. Think twice about this Honda dealer, don’t hesitate with using Bill, he is honest, and his team is competent, and reliable$$$$

My girlfriend made an appointment to get a diagnostic check, she had an appointment at 8 in the morning. They kept the car all day and when she called at 3 they advised they were still working on it. At 4 she contacted them and advised them that to stop and she would come and pick up vehicle because she needed it the next day. They said okay, when she got there the mechanic tried to tell her they were closed and said he wouldnt release the vehicle unless she paid 120. She had her card but the mechanic specified he only wanted cash. She needing her vehicle for work wouldnt take that for an answer. He proceeded to grab her and push her back into a stack of tires before releasing the car. I was at work at the time but she got the encounter on video. Choose another mechanic.

The staff of this shop is friendly and they go by their word. They are also affordable. Will definitely go back for their services

Jeff was great. We went in to have our brakes fixed and during inspection noticed a power steering leak. Fixed and at a respectable price. Brought my vehicle in to have my tie rod ends replaced expecting a large bill. I was informed of what could possibly be causing my issue since my tie rod ends were good and my vehicle was serviced appropriately. Polite and expert staff.

They told me what my problem was and it was inaccurate. But they were friendly.

Have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler that needed brakes. Went on liner and found this shop. Told them what I needed and Bill was quick to respond to my request. Setup the day and took Jeep. Called to tell me that it would take more than just rotors and pads. Finished the job that day and they also checked over other things and had a list. We discussed which we thought were more urgent and then they sent me the price of the three items that were on the list. My car had been having some electrical problems and they fixed it super quickly he same day, and were really nice. I had freaked out when driving away a because there was a small problem and turned around they were totally cool and explained why it happened and that it’d fix after driving for a bit. Which it did, would definitely recommend this location to anyone. My car is working better than before! And they also fixed the battery in my keys too just to help out.

I have owned cars since the early 70s and have experienced the good and bad of car care. Sandalwood is one of the best car care facilities I have ever encountered. Their work is top quality. I have had a couple of major repairs. Jeff provided me with quotes and there were no surprises when I picked up my vehicle. Make an appointment as there is a reason they are busy.

Wanted to share my very positive experience with Sandalwood Car Care and the team there. I have recently purchased a 1992 Jeep Wrangler. This has been my dream car since I was in late middle school. After months of searching I found the right Jeep on CL and pulled the trigger. Only problem was, once I got the Jeep home, the dream was becoming a nightmare. I asked the local shop up the street to take a look and they offered up a couple of repairs that I knew were needed, but nothing else. After those repairs, the Jeep still drove like a brick. I talked with another Jeep friend of mine and he suggested Sandalwood Car Care. He mentioned some major upgrades they did for his Jeep and the care they took. I’m happy to say that I received the same level of excellent service. They reviewed my jeep and explained everything they thought it would need to make it ride safe, and then more smoothly. After a new suspension, tires and a fine tuning of the engine, my 1992 rides better than I could have ever hoped. On top of that, Billy the owner there, sent me photos and videos of the restoration in progress. He was very accommodating of Jeep newbie questions and found all the accessories I asked to have added after the primary work was completed.If you are looking to get some work done, especially on a 4x4, I highly recommend this place. It felt like I had a friend looking out for me the whole time and the work is second to none. I’ve been driving my jeep now for about a week, and after much research understand the pain they overcame to make sure I was happy. They will be my first stop for any future work I need.

I am new to the city of Jacksonville and was in need of a car repair shop. AAA recommended Sandalwood so I decided to give them an opportunity to service my car. My car needed brake pads and rotors. The car has 100,000 miles on it so I wanted the spark plugs changed too. Within the time span of few hours I received a call from Jeff telling me my vehicle was ready for pickup. The price was affordable, fair and the work was of the highest quality. I had a great repair shop in my former out of state residence and now I have found another high quality facility to service my vehicles. Its a great to have Sandalwood Car Repair on my team.

I moved into the area about 6 years ago. I first went to Sandalwood Car Care a few months ago to get a tire patched. The service was quick, friendly, and inviting. I decided to give them a shot with my oil and filters being changed. I was there for less than an hour, had a friendly conversation with J behind the counter and had a successful visit once again. When I went in, the gentleman at the front desk notified me that it would be a while before they would be able to diagnose it. I advised him that I would have to wait because I didn’t have a ride. I made a previous post about a year ago regarding their stellar treatment of customers and how they welcome you in like family. Here I am again, to declare the same consistent superstar service. Although, in the end this resulted in me purchasing a new car, it was no fault of Sandalwood Car Care. I had given m son an old 98 Explorer from my college years, which of course had been patched up here and there and was on its last leg. I dreaded taking it in but it had become a safety concern at this point so I had no other choice. After dropping it off, I received a call a few hours later from Jeff to go over all the critical repairs needed and I was not surprised at all of the outcome. He thoroughly went over both the critical and non-critical repairs needed and answered every question I had. Jeff was very knowledgeable and concise in his explanation never once making me feel pressured. At the end of the day, I decided to cut my losses and invested in a more reliable car for my son. Although, I didnt have the repairs done on the car, knowing that I have a trustworthy car shop I can rely on and go to that will provide 100% transparency is priceless. Took my car in for a diagnostic because my ac was working incorrectly. These guys told me that it was my radiator fan and the cost to fix would be $1130. I took it somewhere else and it wasn’t the fan at all. And it was $300 cheaper to repair. This misdiagnosis almost put me in a terrible spot. I do not recommend this place and i will never come here again. I essentially paid them $110 for them to waste my time and stress me out

My vehicle was towed to Sandalwood Car Care. I later talked with Jeff who advised when repairs would be done. Jeff called, explained in detail what they found needing repair. We talked when repairs were done and total cost. I picked up vehicle. Jeff advised if I had questions or additional problems to call them. He called a day later to ask how the car was running. It has been an awesome experience and I will definitely use Sandalwood again and highly recommend this repair shop.

Had an oil change done at dealer, as a courtesy they checked my A/c which was blowing hot, said it was a bad hose and would be around $600.I had never been to Sandalwood Car Care but saw all the great reviews and figured, worst case it wouldn’t be more than dealer.They initially tried to find the leak and were unable to detect one, so they did a full ac diagnostic and filled the Freon, then asked me to drive it for a week and use the A/c because they still were unable to detect a leak.About a week later, A/C was still cold and I returned it to them. No leak still detected, my final bill was about $1652 months later A/C still running cold. I have a a shop I can trust.

Broke down 25 minutes south of Jacksonville. Tow truck driver luckily towed us to this Napa auto repair. Excellent service all the way around. Couldnt ask for better. Going forward, will now be a customer of Napa!

Had a bizarre mishap with my car, running over a log in the road, on the way to a meeting for work. The shop is a AAA sanctioned provider. So, I called and they told me to come right over. I did just that. They checked the car, told me about the possible damage but checked to ensure my drive home, back to Daytona was safe.
