This shop is great to work with, theyre very honest and up front about the work that needs to be done to the vehicle. In my case I knew going in that it was going to be a major repair, but unfortunately my older car needed a full engine replacement. I decided not to have it done due to the value of the vehicle and the guys completely understood and agreed with the cost to value ratio. They do tend to take a bit to get back to you, but Im certain thats just because theyre so busy! Is definitely take other cars to them.

Have gone here multiple times for my bmw 535xi. This place is awesome, friendly staff and fair pricing. They even took me on a Saturday morning without an appointment to fix a broken water pump, turned out being my lucky day. Would definitely recommend them for automotive repairs. Owner even dropped me off to my house instead of waiting at the shop stove I lived close by.

First time to Carroll Autowerks and Scott has earned a returning customer for my 2016 5 series! As a female, I would often feel preyed on for services on my vehicle to be rendered that werent necessary, thus I would always return to the dealership as they were safe. I wish Id found this place a few months ago when I shelled out over $3500 on front brakes, rotors and motor mounts to the dealership!!!From our first interaction over the phone during my inquiry he demonstrated professionalism and was willing to brainstorm what the issue could be and run an estimate of costs. Turns out, he was spot on with the issue! Other locations wanted to schedule me out 2 weeks for a diagnostic of my a/c unit (display lit up but no air or heat would blow out of the vents or defroster) and we all know how crazy our weather in Jax is....and considering the rain....I needed my defrosters to work on the windshield!!! Scott got me in and out in the time window that he promised and was the perfect gentleman going above and beyond by pulling my vehicle into the shop so that I would not get wet in the rain! Driving home I realized I needed an oil change and should have asked him to perform that service as well to save myself another trip...insert facepalm!Check them out! I took my z4 here for noise in my rear passenger side wheel. These guys went above and beyond to figure out my problem. Turns out I needed a new wheel. Because of this simple fix these guys did not charge me a cent. I will be bringing my car here from now on. Very honest people.

So I came to Carroll Autowerks because I got told at a dealership that my car needed over $1000 in services and I was flabbergasted. I looked for a mechanic, and this popped up with fantastic reviews. I called and Scott picked up, and told me that there was no way the required repairs were over $1000, that he likely could get them done for half the price. He advised me to look at my car, and if it was drivable bring it to him. If not, he would give me a number to have it towed. I quickly went and picked up my car and took it to Carroll, where I was greeted quickly and professionally by Melissa. She informed me they would let me know what’s going on with the car as well as be prepared with a quote so I had a better idea of expenses. I get a call maybe an hour or so later (which I didn’t mind as I dropped my car off without an appointment, Scott was kind enough to squeeze me in) to be told that NOTHING is wrong with my car save for a mess on the battery which they cleaned for free. Nothing the dealer had quoted me for was wrong. They left my car out front for me to pick up after hours at my request, and just like that they’ve become my trusted mechanic. This business saved me over $1000 that I don’t have due to being jobless in this debacle. I can’t thank them enough.

I dont know why, but I still am surprised by how great this company is. They give what seems to be a fair price (definitely less than the dealer service), and will talk to you about options and best route to go even if that does not result in business for them. For instance, the owner Scott spoke with me for about 15 minutes about the oil consumption issue in my X5 (E70), and whether or not it is worth replacing the engine at part of the cost (which is not business for him). Thanks Autowerks for being a place I can take my BMWs for service without the frustration that the other place in town causes!

Their prices are very affordable and they were able to diagnosis and correct my problem quickly. Scott is a very nice guy and really looks out for his customers.

I recently purchased my first Euro car a 88 E30, honestly, it was more of a purchase for my wife whos a huge fan of older BMW/Merc. Overall, I was not impressed with the car, at all. After two months of driving the car was stuttering upon acceleration and running poorly overall. I chose to take the car to Autowerks based off of the high reviews. Autowerks diagnosed the car with a dead cylinder that morning, and then provided me with a cost of repair. The bill was broken down from cost of parts to labor install at a 90$ hourly rate. I drove the car home and the next morning found coolant underneath the car! (Oh noes!) I called Autowerks and was advised to bring the car in again for them to check it over, free of cost. They alerted me to the new problems, initially caused by the dead cylinder and old age....they replaced my water pump and timing and again provided very reasonable repair rates. My car was repaired in a very timely manner and is currently running better than ever. Thanks to Autowerks, I now see why so many people enjoy a E30 coupe, I understand the hype. Thank you Autowerks, while I may not be a Euro enthusiast, I can now understand the appreciation for this type of car.

I took my 2004 BMW M3 for an oil leak after the dealer had changed the oil. They found a stripped oil plug from the previous oil change. I continued taking for an upgrade brakes to CSL competition package and an Inspection II. I will not be taking my M3 anywhere else other than Carrolls in the future. Extremely recommend.

This is the second time I’ve had pretty serious work performed on my e90 330i and as expected the guys at Carroll’s blew me away. Not only are they the best at what they do, they are honest mechanics who are there to fix your car, not take the most possible money out of your wallet. Being a 19 year old college student it’s extremely common for mechanics to treat me like a child who knows nothing about the car, the staff at Carroll’s on the other hand are always extremely respectful and always value my opinions and show me exactly what happened. It is safe to say that as long as I live in Florida and drive a bmw, I will be a Carroll’s customer. Do yourself a favor and bring your European car to the best shop in NE florida you will NOT regret it.

I am very particular about who works on my car - because I myself work on my car and Id rather have it that way. Sometimes, my garage doesnt have the tools needed, the lack of a lift, and then of course, the lack of experience. So, I need to sometimes venture out and find a shop that I can trust. I think I just found my shop...Scotts shop was huge, clean and orderly. Writing this review for my husband because he doesnt have a google account, but he got his BMW 335ix serviced here.. very good pricing. Couple days later his battery started acting up and needed a new one ASAP because his car was getting really tough to start, none of the dealerships could fit him in for a week. These guys took him in the day of and ordered/ and got the part in the same day as well. His car wouldnt have lasted until the end of the week, super thankful these guys fit him in their busy schedule!! He says he will be back for any future servicing.

I just had some routine maintenance done at Carrolls. Everyone was polite, on time and very efficient. They were done much sooner than I have been used to when going to the stealership. Their prices were about 30% lower. They dusted out my mats and even cleaned out the brake dust from my wheels which was very unexpected.**This review was edited for grammar. When it comes to the words mechanic and honesty they are not always synonymous. Well not in this case, the owner Scott Carroll is very honest. He didnt try to sell me work I didnt need and did his best to keep the price down. His employees seem to have his same ethics and get the job done right the first time. The waiting area is very clean and comfortable with free wifi if you need to get some work done while you wait. I was surprised to find out they are even open on Saturday. I will most definitely bring my bimmer here again and will recommend to all of my BMW owning friends.

The person I spoke with, whose name is Josh, immediately knew exactly what was going on with my vehicle because it was a known problem this model is having. Josh provided me with excellent customer service & was very transparent with me from start to finish regarding the repairs. They worked with my warranty company to get me back up & running, and I must say my warranty company was not the easiest to work with. I would highly recommend Carroll Autowerks to anyone for any make & model. I can honestly say that because of the level of service I received, they have a lifelong customer in me! Carroll Autowerks primarily solely work on BMWs. They are experts for both new and old BMWs. BMW repair is always costly but at Carroll you feel like youre receiving value for your money.

I have a 2002 530i BMW with 150k miles on it and it is still in pretty good shape. Recently the transmission went into fail safe indicating a bad transmission and a friend recommended a mechanic that was a friend that did good work. My spidy senses told me You have a BMW, they are difficult to work on and even more difficult to diagnose but you dont want to use the over priced dealer. You should take you car to Carrol Autowerks.Try #1- Well I didnt listen to my spidy senses and I let this mechanic install my transmission. (Im sure this guy is a good mechanic but he is not a BMW mechanic). Anyway, transmission gets installed I drive it away and the transmission goes into failsafe. I take the car back to the mechanic and he says it must be a bad rebuilt transmission and he will put another one in.Try #2- New transmission, drive it off the lot, transmission goes to failsafe. Mechanic says transmission is fine but he cant figure out what is wrong with it. Car is in failsafe when it is cold but once the car warms up if I turned the car off and on the car ran perfectly. I had him check the battery and the alternator but he said they all tested fine. He recommends I take it to BMW to have them diagnose the problem.Try #3- BMW charges me $180 and tells me the transmission fluid is low. They fill the fluid and I am on my way. I start the car the next day and transmission failsafe.Try#4 - I take it back to my mechanic and he keeps the car over night to allow the transmission to cool to the proper level and add more transmission fluid. I drive it off the lot Iit goes into transmission failsafe. He suggest I take the car back to BMW for diagnostic.Try#5- BMW charges me another $180 and tells me they think it is another bad transmission. I take it back to my mechanic who puts in another transmission. Now I think I am good. I drive it off the lot and I get a transmission fail safe.Try#6- I take the car back to my mechanic because I notice the alternator making a loud sound and it is going bad. Perfect, this is a common problem that makes the car go into fail safe mode. Mechanic changes the alternator and I drive off the lot car goes into transmission failsafe mode.Try#7- Mechanic suggests I take it back to BMW which I do. Another $180 and BMW has no idea what is wrong with the car.Try#8- I have had enough. I have been without this car for 4 months now. All of my buddies use Carroll Autowerks and so had I in the past and they were fantastic. I took my car to Carroll Autowerks and they had my car diagnosed in an hour. The transmission control module was bad which cost me $400 bucks installed and the car runs great.If you have a BMW, are sick of paying dealer prices for maintenance, and you want an honest, knowledgeable BMW mechanic, this is the place to go. Thanks guys!!!!!

I have a BMW X3 that has been over heating. I have spent several thousand dollars taking this car to auto repair shops in the Clermont and Mt Dora Florida area who misdiagnosed what was wrong with the car. A word of caution taking your vehicle there. Do not take your car there. They told me they had my car fixed so I come in and then they tell me this my engine is blown.They took my car out for a test spin and blew the engine.
