The part I needed had to be manufactured from a used part. The cost was excellent and the service was professional.Additionally, the car was cleaned inside and out.I called them before I even left the parking lot for clean and now quiet car!!Great customer service should never be overlooked.

Had them fix a tire and my ac because it was leaking and told them this so they charged it and sent it out the door. If didnt make it 10 miles and the ac went out so I more or less paid $ 150 to fix a tirer that cost $57 new

Called needing emergency service on my work truck and was told 3 week wait. Then I gave my number and was told service manager may or may not call, he did not. In sure theyre great if youre able to wait a month, I was not

When we couldnt get our normal shop to fix what was wrong we called all the shops we could. Most had 2 week - 2 month waiting lists (can some of you young adults drop out of college and go to trade school please) Tom Finch Auto took us right in, diagnosed the problem (cracked flex plate) and had it fixed the next day. We have a new normal shop. Very impressed.

They definitely do a good job on your vehicle but If they feel like they can overcharge you they will try for sure. They gave me a unreasonable estimate on my upper and lower ball joints so I took it somewhere else and got it fixed for $700 less than what Tom Finch’s wanted charge. I’ve had other work done on my Jeep by Tom Finch’s and never had a issue with the price until this time. My boyfriend was also unreasonably charged for his new alternator and new spark plugs he had to pay $1200 for that. They also charge you to just look at your vehicle I had to pay $91 for them to just tell me what was wrong with it. I’ve never been charged by any other place to look at my vehicle at least nowhere near $100.

This place is great. Went there for an oil change and they even handwashed the car. They do have a sitting area outside, in case you need to wait for them to get your car done. The place is very clean, organized and the front desk staff are very courteous and professional.As far as pricing, its not the cheapest, but you can definitely trust them with your car needs.

My husband and I were on a roadtrip when our check engine light came on. We stopped here and they took our car into the shop immediately and had it fixed within the hour. Super helpful, professional and kind staff!

Excellent customer service! They had my vehicle done within a couple days, gave me a free loaner while it was being fixed, and when I got it back, it was even detailed! So clean, inside and out! It even smelled like a new car!! I HIGHLY recommend them!!

Been doing business with Finch for many years. Never had a problem with my service or repair work. They promptly find the problem and fix it. If the repair is going to be costly they discuss it with you first. I may not enjoy spending money on vehicle repairs but at least I know its getting fixed right. Glad to have a dependable place that can do the work.

They did great on my paint job

Car was towed by no fault of my own because a person hit my parked car. They refused to let me get important items out of my car until the bill was paid. Had to wait 2 weeks for insurance to cover. Any other towing would have been understanding and helpful.

Had multiple issues with my son’s car that needed to be addressed. We tried taking it to some places in Springfield that were not able to diagnose the problem. Finch’s was very helpful and pinpointed everything that was wrong. Jacob and Deana explained it all in detail and had it fixed and ready to be picked up in a short amount of time. Even though it was not a cheap fix, I totally trust them and know the car is safe to drive again.

Work was well done and quickly done.. taking only 2 operating days (after waiting for my parts to come in) to fix.Truck runs great, even better than when I initially bought it. I was given a free loaner car, which was clean and maintained well, with good mileage.Safe to say, my car wont be going anywhere else in the future. Very professional, courteous and quick. Their shop manager even picked up my car and left me a loaner at work. My vehicle was returned wiped of dust, vacuumed and tidy. No stains from the mechanics boots.. no mess at all.

I have always taken my car here. They treat me with respect and understand my frustration. They tell me when my car needs repair and show me why and offer payment plans if the repair is too costly. The rewards program is awesome I usually get a free oil change twice a year and several savings on car repair as well. Also let me add that I live 45 min away and its worth the drive. I was even provided an over the weekend rental when I had lengthy repair so that I wouldnt miss the first day at a new job!!

Brought my new Jeep there after being hit by a deer. The deer dented a door, scratched paint and a window, and cracked the hardtop. Tom Finch helped with the insurance claim and took care of everything. They were delayed due to backorder on the new hardtop, but let me know when the new one was in so I could get my Jeep to them. They had it done a day earlier than expected and even detailed the interior and cleaned the exterior up. Everything was better than what it was when I took it to them. I’m very pleased with them on their work. I will be a return customer.

They replaced my radiator and a couple of hoses. I’m very satisfied with the work done, however their quote was off by almost $100, this is the only reason they’re getting three stars instead of five.

Traveling from Topeka, Kansas to Chicago. 5 miles outside of Jacksonville, IL, experienced engine overheating. Indicator light came on coaxed the vehicle to Jacksonville exit. Located Tom Finch instead of a dealer (who would not be trustworthy) on the Internet. Glad I did. He worked on my business partners car radiator, found the problem, did what he needed to do properly. Charged only for the repairs necessary. Got me in first thing in the morning. Could have taken advantage of out-of-towner, but didnt. Instead of a $700+ charge, ended up with a $201.00 charge for only the necessary repairs. On the road by 1:30 pm. Great job. Would recommend highly!

I was very happy with the service I received. They called me and cleared every part of the repairs, gave a solid estimate, and fixed my car the same day. They also washed my car, vacuumed it out, and wiped down the dash. Tom Finch is my new go-to for reliable repairs.

Always had a good experience until this most recent. Our van which has over 200,000 miles on it broke down I requested that Finch tow it to their facility and check it out. I got the call and was told that something had let go in the engine and it needed a new engine. Not totally surprising with those kinds of miles. I was out of town so I had asked my brother to take his legally licensed truck and car trailer to pick up the van since I decided that I did not think the old van was worth replacing the motor. I paid the invoice in full to Finch but was told that I could not have my van unless it was picked up by a licensed towing company. ie, Finch or someone else. I asked if this was law and was told it was policy I interpreted that to mean that they knew it would cost me more to have someone else come to their place and haul it so I would most likely hire them. A $96 policy plus on their side of the ledger. I can afford to pay for their policy but what if I couldnt? they would just continue the carjacking I assume. This isnt that big of a deal but this policy should have been disclosed prior to them holding my car for ransom. Disclosure of policy and guidelines that are going to cost the customer nearly $100 extra would have been appreciated and gone a long way to keep me from wasting my time writing a review. Other than that I think they do a nice job.

Got a flat tire on interstate 72 passing through Jacksonville, Il called and was taken care of by the knowledgeable staff. They came out towed by vehicle into the shop, repaired my tire, and had me back on the road within an hour! I was very pleased with everyone from the front office, the tow truck driver, and the mechanic that patched my tire! Would recommend to everyone in the area!!! As a mother of a college student in Jacksonville we are 13 hours away from my child and when her car broke Tom Finch Automotive talked me through everything from the quote to the work to even giving her rides back to school and to grab her to get her car. All my experience with Tom Finch has been good.

Had to have a tow service on super bowl Sunday due to slashed tires I thought that the only needed air and they tried putting sure in them and noticed they were slashed so they went to get the flat bed tow truck and came back and gave us a tow to Walmart. I would recommend these guys they are really nice and go above and beyond the call and have great customer services.

I went here to pick up a friend who had a flat tire out of town. She had her car towed by Finch to their Auto shop. Her tire was checked and Josh told my friend that her tire couldnt be fixed and it seemed to have a soft spot in it Josh then told her when you replace a tire you must buy a pair of tires Hmm to replace one tire so not true! Educate yourself and dont be afraid to ask questions.

Ive been coming to Tom Finch for probably 15 years now and I can simply state if its not warranty work at the dealer this is the only place in Jacksonville for auto repairs and service as far as Im concerned.

I have used this shop for over a year because the price for an oil change is great and it is very convenient as they picked my car up and brought it back back to me. I also thought the service was great...until the last oil change. This last time they told me I had an oil leak (my car has never leaked oil. We had a new driverway poured at our house 2 years ago) there was never oil spots on the driveway. I took my vehicle to another mechanic to get it looked at because it was leaking so badly after they changed my oil. The oil filter was not installed tightly and oil was leaking out around the oil filter. This could have blown my engine.

Not worth the time .I have no time for liers told me I had adapters on the front of my truck and I already new there was no such thing .that was after they broke a wheel stud off 2 hours when by while I sat there clearly I new something was going on but no body said a thing for 2 and half hours before I was talked to .It was about running up the bill .I would of gave them a lot of business with 8 trucks of my own but some else will now.
