Wayne and the team are fantastic. This team specializes in 60s & 70s muscle cars and took the time to research & tune my 1965 CJ5. The Hurricane F-134 is a rather persnickety engine that requires correct carburation, timing and vacuum to run correctly. R&M were committed to getting it right. Rerouting the vacuum lines, replacing the carburetor, adjusting the timing and reconnecting the choke made all the difference. This litter engine fires on the first crank every time and is producing the tons of torque for which it is known!Quality work, professional crew, timely results and complete communication...no surprises with lots of discussion a solid recommendations. I recommend without question.Awesome experience complete satisfaction.

I absolutely recommend RM Garage for classic car restoration. They performed a complete mechanical overhaul (and a bit of electrical to boot!) of my 68 Mustang Fastback Bullitt. Car is VERY strong now with crate 302/306 and is really fun to drive. Thanks to Wayne, Chad, Joseph and all there for all the time and effort on bringing this car up to speed.

RM Garage is now the only place I will take my classic vehicles. RM was recommended to me by a gentleman at a cruise in. I brought my car in for a transmission swap and some electrical gremlins. The guys went above and beyond. It is nice to be able to check on the status of the work real time via their website. Wayne kept me in the loop throughout. They guys even washed it before I picked it up. It looked better than when I dropped it off. 5 star experience. It is nice having a shop in Jax you can trust to work on your classic.

I have a 1968 camero, my dream car. I am slightly mechanically inclined but these guys are master mechanics! They did a complete rebuild on my motor and it runs unbelievably. Joseph is a true professional. I was referred to him by an acquaintance and my experience could no have been better. This is not the everyday mechanic shop, this is personalized service at its best. I was overseas when Joseph worked on my truck because I wanted it to be ready by the time I came back. He and I stayed in touch prior, during the project, and recently Joseph gave me a call to check on my truck. RM installed tires, rims, bull bar, side steps, etc. My truck looks really sharp now. I am the next caretaker of a 1968 Shelby GT 500 convertible # 2675. This was a significant investment foe me. The car had 49,000 original miles. While that’s good, it also means that it was not driven a lot. My goal was to drive this car as often as I wanted to. The whole crew at RM Gararge participated in the thought process to form our plan. They approached this as if they owned the car! There are alot of things to like about RM Garage. The owner, Joseph, is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. He always had time to talk about my car and I quickly began to trust his opinion and plans for my antique Corvette. I never felt rushed when talking with him and discussing how to address problems with my car. Josephs main goal was to make me comfortable with what was going to be done, the potential outcomes, and time lines.What I like best about RM Garage is that you can make an appointment with them. That appointment might be weeks or months in the future but, its worth the wait. And while your car is in their care, they keep it indoors, secure in their garage. Thats part of the reason for the wait, they handle six or seven cars at a time. Also, they do methodical work and when working on fifty year old cars, other problems arise that make for an extended stay with them.When Ive asked other garages for appointments, they all told me to bring it on by and then let it sit in their yard, sometimes unlocked, for weeks with nothing being done.RM Garage sets itself apart with excellent customer service and good work.

I would definately refer any one that wants a great place to take their classic cars to be worked on. Everyone there was very professional and kept me updated on the repairs. They made sure my car was always in their garage during bad weather or when the shop was closed.They even had me come to the shop to show me what needed to be done before fixing it. I would not take my classic car to no one else but RM Garage!

Cant really say enough good things about RM Garage. Joesph and his team are a pleasure to deal with and their work speaks for itself. I found the shop online and Joesph invited me by to talk about what I needed done to my 1965 Ford Fairlane. After a brief discussion and a tour of the shop, we set a date to bring the car in for repairs. Once they had a chance to access the vehicle, Joseph called me with what he thought we need to do in order to get the car safely back on the road. Not only was the work done correctly the first time, the job was completed very quickly and every step of the way, Joesph provided updates as to where they were on the car. Also, the job was completed for the predetermined budget and nothing more. As long as I live in a Jacksonville and RM Garage is open, they will be my shop for life. I am already saving up to send the car back to RM for more upgrades.

I thought we were lucky when we stumbled across a 1969 Z28 Camaro in a barn. Our real luck was finding RM Garage. We knew we had the right shop to handle our restoration when they researched and helped authenticate that we indeed had a true Z/28 all matching numbers car before getting started on the restoration. They also encourage checking in, setting appointments to come and see progress on the build making sure all parties are on the same page. All this paired with an extremely knowledgeable staff makes for a perfect place to take your classic or custom car to be worked on. I would highly recommend RM garage to anyone! This group of guys knows how to take care of classic cars. Theyll perform the maintenance and changes that are requested, but theyll also go a step further and wash your car before they give it back so it looks good when you pick it up. Little touches like that are why I will be a repeat customer for RM Garage.

I came in an needed some advice about what I could do with my truck. Joseph stopped what he was doing to help me, it was nice not to have to wait in a long line. I dont know much about trucks so it was nice to have him walk me through and educate me about what goes into the process of lifting and customizing my Toyota Tacoma. He was friendly and very transparent about the cost of the work that would need to be done. I am looking forward to getting my truck transformed with the RM Team. Affordable, professional, punctual. Enjoyed the experience and I feel like this is a team I can trust.

Had to take a minute to leave a comment. Earlier today I called RM with a question about restoring Japanese Mini Trucks. They told me that they dont service them but they went on to try to find a shop that would be able to help. A+ service even for non-customers. You dont find that every day.

Ive been impressed with Joseph and RM Garage since they opened. I started bringing my 67 Restomod truck to them and theyve done a great job on every issue Ive brought in. Now theyre working on my 34 Street Rod. Love these guys!

Work preformed was good, starter, a/c and radiator. Cost was expensive, very expensive. The bill and explanation of work completed, Reminded me of a lawyers final bill. For example 25.00 for a 5 min. Job to install a battery, ridiculous........Would not recommend, definitely will not return.........

I havent had any of my vehicles worked on here yet, but from the looks of the work on the other high end classic dream cars in theyre garage bay I would be in very capable hands.

Im a mechanical engineer that enjoys wrenching on my 90-00s imports. I had shopped for at least 6mths for a competent shop specializing in domestic classics for my dads original owner 1970 Cutlass S. Most of the big name quality shops are mainly interested in high dollar collector rotisseries and the others dont seem to offer the quality or value especially in Orlando. No one could refer me to a reputable classic shop in Orlando and the typical repair shops are not equipped or knowledgeable of 50 yr old vehicles. I found RM garage (2hr drive) was the right size with the specialized expertise I needed and the personalized service i was looking for - kind of like the old days. You will see that RM has a pretty solid mix of grey beards that pass their knowledge to the younger guys which i think is key to their success. It was also reassuring to me that Joe (owner) is also a mechanical engineer. Know that RM is not the least expensive shop but if your classic transmission wont shift and your engine hasnt turned over in a while youll appreciate RM. Theyre honest, do what they say when they say and you will know where that extra money went especially if youre particular about the work. See before and after shots of the motor after sitting up for 15 yrs. It reliably runs as good as it looks and Dad can get it up on the interstate without fearing a breakdown. Amazing work, amazing service, the right expertise. Read the other reviews, the feedback is representative and remarkably consistent. Wayne, Joe and the team seem to enjoy their work, are the best at what they do and one of the few shops that offer honest professional full mechanical services for classic vehicles. Highly Recommend.
