Decent work, friendly and honest staff that will try to help you whatever way they can. But high priced service. First time in my life I ever paid over $50 for a conventional oil change, among other things that were quoted fairly higher than other shops.

First I would like to thank MR. CHUCK AND CNL STAFF . MR. CHUCK is very knowledgeable and will give you the best quality work . I had got my engine replaced and the car running A1! .. I definitely would give 5 star this was my first time going to his shop off recommendation all I can stay is thanks again !!

I reserved (and paid for) a box truck to move my son from college home but was left stranded by UHaul at 6p the night before. In a panic I got online to try to find a Penske truck. Luckily Penske and C&L Automotive worked together and had a truck for me less than twelve hours after my online reservation. I was able to make it to my sons college graduation on time and hurt myself moving him the next day. Thank you C&L and Penske for doing what you say and taking care of me.

This review is worth the read....Went in for a suspected leaking water pump, and Chuck was the most professional and kind hearted individual. He turned an awful day better with how he accommodated working on my car, and fitting me in immediately in the middle of the day on a Friday. I had to go back to work, but they made sure my car was done in less than 3 hours, and called me before charging me anything to go over everything that was going on with my car. Being a newbie to Jacksonville, i will tell all of my friends and family about C&L and Chuck, and will be bringing my car here with any issues.

We rented a Penske Moving Truck from them and it was a very pleasant experience. I was having a hard time even finding a moving truck and they called back and stated they had one! The fact that they called back was awesome in itself but then the quality of the customer service was out of this world! The best shop I have ever been into. Been coming here for basic maintenance all the way up to major repairs. Chris, the manager, is excellent and very up front and honest about everything. He runs a tight shop and the techs are knowledgeable. I would recommend this shop to ANYBODY, and you dont need to worry about him trying to upsell something you dont need. Hes in the business to help people, not to hurt them and take advantage.

Wow! Most impressed! I was looking to have my 2015 Infinity QX-60 OEM headlights updated to LED and searched around online. I found C & L Automotive who claimed to do this type work, but so did a lot of other places. I called and was most impressed with Chris who was very knowledgeable and said hed like to inspect my vehicle to verify that the upgrade was doable. After verifying that it was and giving me an estimate we set up an appointment to do the install.C & Ls location is very clean and the staff extremely professional.In less than 90 minutes and at what I consider a reasonable cost, I now have a fully LED equipped SUV with much brighter and safer!C & L does all types of automotive repair and upgrades and I plan to make them my regular go to automotive service provider as my car ages.Most impressed with C & L and in particular their Service Manager, Chris!

Came in just for a Fog-Lights InstallationCame out with the Front-Bumper scratched and the Fog-Lights scratchedHe stated he did not scratch it, but the scratches were on the same side and less than 1 inch from each other.Dont recommend this place, now I have to go to a body-shop so they can fix what this place messed up. Waste of money!

This shop is terrible. They demanded cash. Were rude, and didn’t even use the correct parts. They kept changing the invoice and put in parts not on the invoice and then invoices for work not done. Unfortunately at this point I have to go to the BBB and take them to court because we paid for work that was shoddy at best. Just an awful shop, never experienced anything like it.

I thought C & L was very courteous and Knowledgeable. I had them do some performance upgrades to my diesel truck. Great job! Im impressed with the recommendations that were made for upgrades and when there was a warranty issue with a bad part that was installed, they handled it quickly and kept my work truck rolling. Honest and Reliable. We have been taking our vehicles here for years for oil changes, routine maintenance and larger issues. First met them when I needed a tow and they picked me up no charge. I wont go anywhere else. They get us in and out in a day and do not try to up sell us on unnecessary services.

Worst mechanic experience ever. I have used a lot of mechanics over the years due to my business and this place is by far the worst. They had my vehicle for months and there was no communication whatsoever. I had ri call multiple times only to never get a straight answer. They did work on it before informing me what they were doing so in the end I had a big bill for things that didnt have to be done. Then they broke a screw and would never replace it. I had to finally pick up my vehicle with a tow truck and when I got it home I found out an expensive part had been stolen off my classic car. The manager was of no help. Beware of this place!

We used C&L Automotive to look over, drive and assess a used car we planned to purchase. We were VERY much impressed meeting Chuck Hood and he spent quite a bit of time looking over the car in question, driving it, going through tthe diagnostics, etc.We would go back to him without hesitation in the future for his expert opinion and great customer service!

Im in the repair business (electromechanical) so I know a good technician when I see one. Most repair shops are just parts swappers. Your car pops a code, they look it up and put the related part in. Chuck and his crew are old school technicians. They know how to troubleshoot the most difficult issues and charge a fair price. Highest recommendation.

I could not be more happy with their service ! We brought in a 1999 Jeep with a couple of problems, and they went above and beyond to help us out. Extremely nice and honest guys... which is usually very had to come by, especially in the auto mechanic industry. I highly highly recommend this place, they will not let you down ! Corey & Chris at C & L Automotive impressed us with their honest service.I brought my F450 Diesel flatbed dually in for service with injector issues.Corey took the time to listen and get me quotes for future projects that need to be fixed on the truck. After leaving the truck with them, they diagnosed the problem and made a quality long term suggestion which was affordable but out of my price range.When I ask for a quote with a basic solution for the least amount their quote was reasonable.They fix the bad injector quickly and the truck is now driving like a CHAMP! Thanks again!

I ended up at C&L after my car happened to die nearby one weekend, and they were the closest place willing to tow the car to their shop. Id prepared myself for some major (and expensive) work, but everyone at C&L worked hard to get me back on the road as soon as possible AND without breaking my budget. Ive recommended them to friends and I still will drive across town to take my car to them for any work it ever needs.

I first found C&L Automotive when they had a groupon for an oil change. I havent taken my car anywhere since!!Fair, fast, reliable service from friendly, knowledgeable staff. I love watching this business grow into the place it is today. I highly recommend C&L to anyone needing their vehicle serviced!

Would give zero stars if possible. Took my Car in for an engine light check and an oil change. This was around noon. I went to work, assuming it could be picked up the same day. Received no call. The next morning, I called to check the status. They hadn’t even looked at it yet. Finally, I receive a call around 1:30.They told me it was throwing a lot of codes, but mechanically everything was fine. However, they also told me that my brake pedal was vibrating during the test drive indicating need for new brakes. They said my car needed all 4 brakes are rotors replaced and quoted me over eight hundred dollars! They also said my vacuum pump needed replacing for another seven hundred dollars. They charged me eighty dollars for an oil change, which is double I normally pay elsewhere. I declined getting anything done beside my oil.When went to pick it up, my battery was dead. This may be coincidence, but you usually expect to pick your car up in better condintion than how you left it with a mechanic. I have to leave town the next morning, and am stuck looking for a new one first thing.This is sad because they’ve helped me out of a few binds in years past. I used to recommend this place to friends and family. Now that they tried to rob me, I’ll have to warn them to stay away.

C & L Towing was dispatched by Hagerty Insurance to rescue our broken car. After Hagerty called to say they were on the way, the C&L driver also called to say he was on his way and would be there in 20 minutes and he was! We took our 2002 Chevy Impala up there for running rough & A/C repair.They replaced the MAF sensor & fixed the A/C temporally (seriously) cost almost $500 we started having problems the next day & took it to another shop & come to find out the MAF sensor was installed backwards the rubber housing going to the MAF sensor was not installed correctly either & that was not the problem anyway the crankshaft position sensor & harness was bad I would recommend to not do any business with these backward part changers

I was referred to Chuck for a second opinion on a car repair. Im glad I went to see him. He diagnosed and fixed my car within two hours. The other repair shop thought my valves were shot and that I probably needed the services of a machine shop; they even recommended replacing the engine! The problem turned out to be faulty fuel injectors! Replacing two fuel injectors was a lot cheaper than getting a valve job!

Its the week before christmas. Took them five days, up to the 23rd for them to fix my vehicle. I was told on the 20th it would be $393 for everything. Came in to pick up my vehicle, $575 dollars. When I asked why, they said its because it was a different part than they thought. I was not notified of this. The reason I brought it here is because they said they could have it done on monday, it is now Thursday and I wanted my vehicle asap. I had other shops who couldve done it cheaper with the same amount of time, probably less, but brought it here for the convenience. This happened to be the most inconvenient experience Ive had. I had to call them every day to figure out what was happening with my car. They did not once try to contact me. I was as patient and calm as I could be for this. Then, to have the price increased so drastically without notification is what really did it for me. Do not go here. I was planning on finishing Christmas shopping today with my extra funds, does not look like its going to happen.

I give one star because number 1 they did not even realize that my front and back tires were different sizes and switch them out. They couldnt even tell that I had gotten new rotors literally 2 days before I took it in and wanted me to replace them. They lost by center peice and my valve stem cap from my tire which were both custom. They really try to overcharge me when they said I needed tons of stuff for a $1000 but when removed a whole lot of stuff it was only $200 cheaper when I made a point to them of it being only $200 cheaper when they were doing Less than half of the work proposal. Lastly their alignment was $30 more than big chief tire which was literally half a mile down the road. Also they did t even fix the problem that I have as its back 3 days later. Do not go here. Only positive thing was the guy I front was nice.

Had been taking my cars here for a while but within the last year or so the quality of work and care from mechanics seems to have gone down. I had to take a car back to them multiple times for things and concerns that should have been addressed before I left. They replaced an engine for me and it always had a knock (sounded like a diesel and it is gas) and shook hard. When I mentioned this I got a response that it is probably the engine mounts (if it was why werent they addressed when they replaced the engine) I would mention it when I would take it in but I guess it was never a concern....well now they are telling me I need to replace the engine again! NO!! This should have been addressed and may not have gotten this far or would have still been under warranty. If it wasnt put on the chart possibly, the concern, the mechanic had to hear and feel the issue and should have addressed since they put the engine in. The car was there for multiple issues including check engine light at least 4 times. Nice people but I wasted too much money. I appreciate they dont try t out sell you on things you dont need but someone should address the obvious.

I Dont trust many people to work on my truck but todays experience was great! If I ever need anything else done to my truck I will defiantly be going back to C & L Automotive & towing!
