BUYER BEWARE!!!! on July 28th I bought a furniture set with my wife and paid CASH, a couch, recliner, and ottoman. the recliner broke a week later I called to have them come see the recliner and fix it everything was fine the gentleman came out and claimed he fixed the problem, not even a day later the recliner broke again i called an told them hey can we get someone to actually fix this thing and they were very slow and not fun to work with in the whole process. finally 2 weeks go by and another repair man cam out to try to fix it, claims it was fixed and was rude to my wife the whole time and gave her a creepy vibe. the recliner broke again the next day. so i called asking for a new recliner or my money back the gave me hell for a whole week and finally said they would replace the recliner. they were suppose to deliver it yesterday between 4 to 8 they call at 630 and say the recliner did not make it on the truck.......... and that they would make me high priority for Saturday the recliner did not show up yet. would not go back for any services to this place ever again if I could give them 0 stars I would . I tried to salvage a relationship with this company for 2 months and my wife and I are no happy with the services we received. i would not recommend this place to anyone anymore. they do not care about your experience or time!

One of the worst experiences I have ever had!! Purchased my furniture on June 12th. Was having it delivered in August. They went to the wrong address & then showed up at 9pm with the wrong furniture! Terrible Customer Service!!!!! One of the salesmen was some what pleasant & one of the delivery guys; but everyone else was rude. Nasty attitude when they created the problem! I would not recommend to anyone.

I’m giving them two stars because I did ultimately get a good couch. But the fact that it took almost 2 months to get it, I called them 37 times in that time(yes I counted). And never once got a call back,And I paid $800 in cash as a down payment. The guy I bought the couch from was a guy named Billy, I was lied to multiple times when he said he would call me back, he never did, and I was told I would get an extra month on my same as cash loan payment since I had to wait so long to get my couch. That was also a lie, I’m not sure if it’s just the guy I got but he literally did nothing but lie to me once I gave him money. He refused to call me back, and seemed more irritated than anything when I tried to get a straight answer. Again I did ultimately get my couch, but that was only after a threat to report them to the Better Business Bureau and showing up with the police to get my money back. I am happy I got my couch but I would never do business here again.EDIT: it’s amazing how quickly they responded once this review went up. It’s like companies don’t care until you publicly call them out on their BS or something. But ironically the only thing they want to talk about is the loan date not being changed, no mention of how unprofessional their employee was, only care about the money aspect of it. No big surprise there.EDIT 2: completely forgot to mention that one of the reasons I had to wait so long was because the couch I originally purchased, that I explicitly asked if it was in stock, which they replied to with “absolutely”. Was sold to someone else after I had purchased it. When I asked if I could purchase the floor model with a small discount I was told that was already sold as well. Not the most aggravating thing that happened, but it did start the whole chain of events, because if I hadn’t been sold a couch that wasn’t actually in stock then I wouldn’t have had to wait to begin with.

Moved in our new house Christmas and by May one of the recliner’s and the recliner on the couch had messed up called the store they said it was under warranty sent them the information and said we would get the parts to fix them by mail but we never seen anything called back to the store and they just blew us off!!! My father is still waiting on the desk he ordered his granddaughter. It was supposed to bw here friday. Then they didnt even tell us it wasnt comimg so they waited all day until we decided to call and they told us it was on the truck running late. We called back later it wasnt coming at all. Tuesday morning and still no desk. We are super upset and disappointed with furniture plus. Not only is the desk not here.we gave them a deposit. Edit- was just told it would now take 2 weeks.

They have made us forever customers! We went in today; talked to Billy W. (very friendly and knowledgeable) for a couch (it was our 2nd stop- first place gave us a lot of run around trying to get us to buy more expensive in stock stuff... almost pushy). We placed an order for a couch and paid up front. Left the store and our truck broke down 2 streets away. We were in a bit of a panic because it could be $$$ for the parts so we called and they went ABOVE and beyond to help us out. We will be back next week to get our couch and will make sure to give Billy and Furniture Plus all our business. They truly care about their customers and get them in and out without all the hassle and run around of typical sales people. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Go and talk to Billy for sure! He will do you right!

I give them a 2 star because I had finance a moped from them put 400 down an made 2 payments so far an the moped only has 300 miles on it so far an it is now in the shop an its not from my doing. Im paying little over 2000 and within a month an half already got to spend money out my pocket on the moped because it started going 20mph all of a sudden

I am really surprised at the reviews claiming no strong arming. I have visited this store 3 times and EVERY time there I was followed around by the associate. Very annoying I will never again go back. In fact when I left and didnt purchase anything the sales associate had to explain to the owner why I was leaving empty handed. Horrible place.

Easy fiancing..some things are over priced and some things are priced right. Horrible time keeping for delivery..be prepared not to show on time and when you call to find out when are they coming a whole bunch of I dont knows..dont be prepared for answers. I called several times and showed up 6 hours after we agreed delivery time. And then sent a 75 year man to handle a king size mattress... so paid for extremely late delivery..then helped bring it inside..so not pleased after sell

We have bought two items from furniture plus on two separate occasions. The first was a lawn mower. Billy was our sales person and we liked him so much that we asked for him again when our washing machine went out. He was quick to respond and was able to get us a washer like the one we were looking at on sale at lowes for an even lower price.With our small down payment, our payments remained about the same as it was with only the mower.When we went to hook the washer up we realized the drainage hose was missing.We contacted Billy right away. He said hed have to locate one because the manufacturer should have placed one in the machine. We told him not to worry about it that we would go and buy one. Before we even made it to the car a hose was delivered to our house.

Purchased, in full, a couch and a loveseat. We are on week 7 of waiting for delivery and no one at the store has an idea when they will arrive. Ironically, the same exact set arrived about 4 weeks after we ordered, but they were the wrong color. Also, purchased a recliner and stitching already began to fall apart. They offered to fix it, so we will see how long this will all take.

I purchased furniture six months ago and spoke to then once the furniture was delivered about how the furniture was damaged. Since Covid the manager said my items would be replaced. I was told the items would be in around December. Here it is in January and I haven’t received anything. I’ve tried calling they don’t return calls. Very unprofessional.

We spent weeks shopping for a couch& kitchen table to match and this place had the best customer service out of the 20+ places we had shopped at previously. They weren’t pushy and were willing to negotiate. When we went to pick up our couch, my wife found a set they liked and they gave us all an awesome deal! Absolute horrible services. I went there in mid February because Ashley Furniture was going to take 4-6 weeks to get us a couch. The salesman (Victor) said they could get us a couch in no more than 2 weeks. Well, that wasn’t the case. I just got my couch on the 18th 2.5 weeks late. The whole time I had to call in and ask the status of the couch. Never once did Victor call and give me an update as to why my stuff was late and when it would be there. It was so annoying having to constantly call and ask. They will just tell you what you want to hear to get you to buy their products. Do not believe it. As you can tel from the other comments as well.

Deals are great and the people are nice. If you have any problems with your order though, it may sour your experience.My story - we ordered our furniture in May and two of the six table chairs we ordered were extremly wobbly. So we called and they said they would come pick them up or fix them. Took them a couple months (well past what I intended to use them for) but oh well. Then a few more months pass and they send me the wrong chairs. So I send them back with the delivery truck. Now in November (half a year later) I happen to be in Jacksonville and stop buy and they had my chairs ( I was not called nor were they attempted to be delivered) so I brought them home.My previous engagements had ruined my visit and made me very cautious about even bringing them home.All in all - if I hadnt had an issue it would have been a fine store with great deals. But they seemed more willing to push products than make sure I was taken care of.

Ive known Greg. (Zelick) pretty much my entire life. Ive known his family my entire life. I needed furniture for my hotel. Had it in about 4 hours. A few days later, I called and ordered personal furniture. Had it in 6 hours. Im extremely happy with business furniture and definitely my personal furniture. Greg and Keith went out of their way to help me. Keith was instrumental in getting this done. Poof factor is perfect. TV is perfect. TV stand and end tables are perfect. As are bar stools. Hence why my family has done business with his family since the 40s.

Ive bought several items from this store. Paul from your store is the worst person I have ever had to deal with. They delivered the floor model to me, when I was told it would be new and not the floor model. Along with a nasty mattress.Paul will not fix anything at all. His very nasty to my husband and me. I could understand if we were nasty to him as well, but we have been very calm through this whole thing. I’m spending over 2,000 on these items, so I expect them to be in new condition. These items have been returned. Paul has ruined our experience with this store. I will not buy anything else from this store again.

We have gotten multiple purchases from here. 1 of them was a leather sectional. After having it for about 15 months it starts ripping in multiple parts. Warranty doesnt cover wear and tear. I contacted the distributor, Ashley Furniture and the customer service is awful after FINALLY getting in touch and they also werent willing to help either. If i had known this sectional was going to rip after a little over a year we would not have purchased it. We will never purchase from here or Ashley ever again. Now we are stuck paying for a piece of junk couch thats ripped.

Furniture Plus on North Marine Blvd, Jacksonville NC is a great place to go if you are looking for furniture etc. Recently, i tried to purchase a certain living room set that 3 Furniture stores had sitting in their showrooms. All 3 of them informed me that they would not sell as they are only for show and have to be ordered with a time of 3 weeks or more. I certainly understand they have to order things and it takes time but all 3 places did not have any in stock and rather than make a large profit they chose to let theirs sit their for show. I then decided to go to Furniture Plus where they did not carry the set but the Manager/Owner Greg went out of his way making phone calls etc to get the set I had my heart set on. He went out of his way to accommodate me in every possible way he could right down to switching lamp shades right their to give me the look I wanted. Greg went above and beyond to make the customer happy and well to be honest, I am hard to please at times...His staff in the store also did what they could to make this right for me. Gregs son was a delight to meet wen he did the delivery and I just loved him lol...I was also happy to see one of their drivers Gerald, still their after many years which shows he must have stayed for a reason. Its good to see people stay at a business a long time. This store deserves your business as they will give you Excellent Customer Service as expected. Worst experience ever! I went in on Veterans Day for some furniture and worked with Billy. He told me the furniture would be delivered next Friday (a week later) after 4 p.m. next Friday came, no furniture, no call. I called Billy on Saturday to find out that the furniture wouldn’t be delivered until the middle of December. I wasn’t happy, but understood. I asked Billy if he could call me with any updates. The middle of December came, no furniture, no call. I called around the 20th to figure out that they wouldn’t be in until after the new year. I went in to get my money back and shop somewhere else, however spoke with Greg and he assured it would come the following Friday and took $50 off. I accepted. Friday came and I finally got a call after 4 p.m to find out it didn’t fit on the truck and it would be delivered Saturday from 11-4. At 2:30 on Saturday I called to find out they only knew it would delivered before 4 but they would give a 30 minute heads up. I figured I had enough time to run to the store since they hadn’t called yet and as I was putting my shoes on I received a knock, the furniture arrived without the notice. The customer service was absolutely pathetic. I understand furniture and other goods can be delayed, but to never call and inform the customer, no excuse.

Thought we got a good deal on a kitchen table and after the delivery of the wrong table and multiple broken chairs. After that whole problem we thought we had everything all squared away. It has been less than 9 months and the table and chairs are falling apart. Most of the hardware was installed incorrectly and all the wood is stripped and breaking. Do not buy from these guys unless you need really expensive firewood!!

Sofa broke within first year. They offered to repair it. Gave me a 5 hour window for pick up so I called out of work. Didnt show up untill over a hour after the pickup time. Was never called about them running late. Their response was we dont know he must be late. And then tryed telling me he tryed calling when I never received a call. Now Im out $200 from work and still waiting on my sofa. Phone rep also hung up on me. Very professional.

I have had a horrible experience with the salesman Victor. First, they promised to have my sectional in their store in 10 days but no more than 2 weeks and I paid in full. After 3 weeks I called and they had no idea when it was coming in. It came in a week later and they delivered it with the wedge being damaged. That is understandable, but then their delivery guy asked me if I had a problem with it being repaired. I refused this since I paid for new not repaired. Then I took Victor 2 weeks to order the new wedge. Now it has been over a month and still no wedge. I called the store to find out what was going on with it and the receptionist stated victor was with a customer and would have to call me back in about 20 minutes.... Well 25 hours and 40 minutes later Victor calls me back to say my wedge has been in but there deliveries have been booked. I call bs on this. They got my money now screw the customer. Dont go to this place for them to repeatedly lie to you and then get hung up on. Would never make a purchase from this store again. Its been a nightmare and I still have to wait 5 days for them to deliver the replacement.

I’ve been a customer for years! I have bought bedroom sets, living room furniture, and numerous couches. Always quality furniture and have zero complaints. Everyone goes out of their way to help you (and yeah, it might seem like their trying to make a sale but duh, it’s a furniture store..) The owner goes above& beyond to make it work and meet your expectations every time. The delivery can be later than expected but those guys are working hard and obviously putting together furniture can take time. Thanks for being my go to furniture store!

MILITARY BEWARE!!!I so wish I could give negative stars. We got an entire living room set from them. The couches were damaged when we got them but being under warranty we sent them to be repaired. For 6 months it has been constant back and forth sending pieces back, one piece they kept for 2 months! We get it back and it wasnt repaired and had a NEW rip in it. After 6 months we just gave up...we got so sick of not having something to sit on. We told them we were going to complain to the base (THEY SHOULD BE BLACK BALLED) and Better Business Bureau, they said they would compensate us for our time and frustration. They offered a $50 discount for a future purchase. HA! Never shopping there again.

Might update later depending on the nature of the delivery. I had no communication with the store as to why my delivery was late. I was told there were two delivery windows(one from 1100-1600, and one from 1400-2000). I am a single mother who took the day off of work to wait for this. Didnt receive any notice. I called the store and just got the excuse, well Im sorry, Im just a cashier. If your cashiers dont know anything, train them where to look or brush up on customer service skills to help a frustrated customer. I apologize we were late, let me take a look into it for you. Or how about going above and beyond to set yourselves apart from the multitude of other stores in this town, and inform your customers if you are going to be late.

Ordered a bed on 4/6 was told it would be in within 10-14 days. After 14 days we called, numerous phone calls back and forth Victor wasn’t in or was busy. Finally called back was told it would be delivered today 4/27, between 11-4 and we should be the first delivery of the day. Called around 1230 to see if they were behind, apparently they never had us on the schedule. Now waiting to see when it can be delivered, after we have broken down all of our furniture in our bedroom to make room. Horrible place to do business avoid.

Bought a platform bed that had to be ordered and was told about 14 days to get the bed in. After a miscommunication occurred and they were unable to deliver the bed by the allotted time, they were very thoughtful and even offered an alternative bed until ours arrived. Overall the staff is supportive and will get you the furniture you want at a reasonable price.

Where do I begin.... we came in and immediately was approached by a sales person. She asked what we were looking for, if we needed help, all that stuff. We said we were JUST LOOKING. She then said if we had any questions to let her know and left us alone.... for all of 5 minutes. She started talking about every single thing we looked at, before we could even draw our own conclusions about the furniture. We were nice, said a word or two back (literally), thinking she would leave us to our shopping. She never left us alone. She followed us EVERYWHERE. I couldn’t even get a word in with my husband in private because she was literally following us around. She would ask us questions and I would answer just to be nice, and she used my answers against me to pressure me. I understand it’s her job to help out. But we said we were JUST LOOKING, and we truly did try our best to ignore her in the nicest way possible so we could discuss amongst ourselves to decide whether or not we wanted to buy. I cannot stress this enough when I say she was behind us with every step we took. We decided to leave because we were so frustrated. Now this is the most irritating part.... I’m not exaggerating when I say we were literally followed outside to our vehicle, STILL being pressured to by something when we had given zero indication that we even were slightly interested in buying anything. (We might’ve been able to draw our own conclusions on something we were interested in had we been given a chance to discuss privately) anyways, A man came out to my husband as he was strapping our child in her car seat asking us what style/color/whatever we liked, he’ll offer lower prices, they do this and that for financing, etc.. we were literally outside in our vehicle trying to leave... I cannot explain how pushy these people were. And I used to be a sales person myself!

I have to say furniture plus went above and beyond for my family. Our bunk beds never arrived from the manufacturer when they were supposed to, but thanks to mr. Billy he had us a set of temporary beds delivered to our home and had them set up until our new ones arrived. We were so impressed with what they have done with us we also ordered a new king size bed for us. If your furniture was not delivered on time it is because of the manufaturer not the people at furniture plus, either way they will go out of their way to make sure their customers are happy. I ordered a bed and was quoted 3 weeks, it arrived over two months later and missing parts. I bought a Symbol queen mattress set in 2014 and by 2019 it had a dip in the middle but i was still under warranty. I decided to upgrade to a king and paid for it in June 15th. It is now September 12th and Ive received my mattress only that was delivered August 13 with no box spring. Ive called every week since buying and Billy did not remember that I placed an order or he has gone on vacation. I call and talk to Greg and theres nothing that can be done. As long as this company gets your money, theres no other concern they have. Do not waste your time buying from them. They do not care about the customer at all!

It speaks volumes about a company who will have their employees on the street corner holding a sign when it’s pouring down rain. It’s been raining non stop today (8-17). The poor guy is drenched with no rain coat and tennis shoes. I watched in horror while he wiped the down pour from his face. I can’t understand why no one would bother to take him a rain coat or an umbrella.

Came in and bought a sectional on March 15th, asked for it to be delivered on April 1st. Salesman said that wasn’t a problem. Called back last week when I realized April 1st was Easter to confirm that they were still delivering, they said “No. We don’t deliver on Sundays, I don’t know who told you that.” Changed my delivery to a different date between the hours of 11am-4pm. Called this morning and asked for them to deliver it closer to 4pm rather than the morning. Go to our new house that’s completely empty because we don’t start moving until tomorrow to wait for them to deliver it, call and ask what time they will be here now since it’s after 4pm, she says “I don’t know. If it’s on the truck they will get to it.” HELPFUL! Call back and ask to speak to a manager, woman gives me delivery guys phone number and tells me to call him. Call the delivery guy and he says he’s in Richlands mowing grass and he’ll go get the sectional and bring it right away... Call back again to speak to a manager, after 2 people refused to let me speak to a manager I finally talked to someone with a little common sense who told me that must’ve been a wrong number and they are on the way with my sectional now and it’ll be here within the hour. 20 minutes before it’s supposed to be here I get a phone call from the same guy saying they don’t even have the sectional, it never came on the truck and it’ll be another week before it comes in but they can loan me a couch and love seat off the showroom floor. Not sure how they didn’t realize that when it was supposed to be on the truck this morning. THIS PLACE SUCKS and I can’t believe I didn’t see some of these reviews before ordering from them. NEVER AGAIN.I may update this when what I actually ordered shows up and this is handled.

If you are planning to get anything from this establishment DO NOT deal with Amber. She was very rude and couldnt answer any questions I asked her. Ask for Cindy or Paul they were very polite and helpful.

I normally dont post reviews but this by far is the worst experience I ever had for customer service. I ordered my desk and hutch set with Billy back in June 2018 and didnt receive the first piece of furniture until Almost end of August after being told 10 days. On top of that it was damaged and had the white factory stickers all over it so I had to send it back. They did fix it and bring it to me about 2 weeks later. But my hutch remained on Back Order.The last remaining item which was the hutch came in around October 4 Months after purchase and of course was missing all the shelves. I accepted anyway because I was told they reordered them and would bring them to me.Well here we are in November and I have no shelves which is now 5 months after ordering. When I called Billy about it he didnt even no I was missing them. He said he would look into it but never followed up. Every time I call the store no one can speak for the salesmen other than the salesman which is ridiculous that these people have no accountability.As a customer I understand things happen and Im not unreasonable but basic things like following up on a order or at least making the customer feel as though you care about there situation goes a long way.BEWARE of this store I know they have good prices but in my case you get what you pay for. I will never do business with them again!

We stopped and found a set of chairs. We place the order 10/28 and expected to have them delivered 11/2. I was contacted by the store and told the chairs are discontinued and the store doesnt do refunds only exchanges. This is not how a business should operate! What happened to taking care of customer? I felt trapped to deal with/settle with what ever else they have.Poor business practice.

Should not have to wait almost over a month for my matress, box spring and bed frame. Every time we call they tell us something different on why its taking so long or where the products are. Never will I order from them again unless Im willing to wait months for what im ordering. We were in need of this bed due to the hurricane. I do not reccomend.

Would of been 5 stars if not for the mistakes, damage to my house, rudeness after calling and going in, and not willing to fix anything. Heres the details: my fiance and I went looking for a new mattress on this past Saturday. Found a great deal on the mattress. Paid cash that day for it to be delivered on Thursday 3/22. While there we decided to find a new couch. The salesman wasnt pushy at all which was awesome. However, he also lied to us. We found a couch that was somewhat reasonable but we were willing to finance it. The man stated he could have it delivered on Thursday as well and that they had 1 in the warehouse in stock. So we decided to do it. Thursday came and everything was wrong. We got the wrong mattress and the wrong couch! The delivery guys came back to my house at 9:30 that night to pick up the couch. 9:30 at night whats wrong with you people? They had the right couch on the truck but refused to bring it in at that time. They did let us keep the wrong one for the night. So Friday 3/23: got a call at 9:15am that they would be to my house soon. Finally showed up at around 1:00pm. They brought in the new couch first. While bringing it in they poked a hole in my door! I took pictures and called the store. I went down there 30 minutes after the incident. They never apologized for it. Did tell me to get up with the landlord to see what he says. I, like most people, had to pay a security deposit that now wont be refunded unless the door is replaced! While there I noticed that the new couch I just received was actually the floor model. 900.00 for a floor model couch is insane its not new. My fiancee went down there and the salesman was very rude to her. Then I called him asking for a discount since it was the floor model. He said he cant do that, I then said I use to work for a furniture store and know for a fact that floor models are sold at a very high discount. Of course, he changed subject then saying he could order a new one that would take a month to come in. But would have to pick this one up when they delivery the correct mattress next Thursday. How us this right. We are willing to keep this one but not for 900.00. Actual value on it from the manufacturer is only 569.00 brand NEW! Insane, will never do business here again.

Possibly a hidden Gem but also possibly funding the klan, its hard to tell but they are working hard for the sell so im guessing the workers are on commission and just trying to get you to sign that contract. Shop around before you decide.

Absolutely useless people. You will be told repeatedly they cant do something like call a manufacturer because the girl who does that isnt here right now. Delivered multiple pieces of furniture broken and 3 months later still no furniture to replace an order that originally took 1 week to arrive broken, never return your calls like they promise and Billy will yell and scream at you every excuse under the sun why he doesnt return your calls when he said he would. Like that he cut his foot so he couldnt call you back in 3 months. When I told him thats clearly an excuse since no one in the 3 months has ever called and given an update, he beckoned me to come into the store so he can unwrap his foot and show me his stitches. Not only was he totally unprofessional with me but he clearly needs to grow a pair (pretty much everyone has had more serious injuries than your cut foot pal) He also yelled at me saying he has bigger things to worry about than my toilet cover, mind you I ordered an entire bathroom set and 2 couches that were priced at nearly $3,000. We were repeat customers and thats officially over now that theyve shown their true colors.
