Appliance Mart is the island of misfit toys, and there are some good finds. Ray is a nice guy but he seems to be the only one there. Based on the type of appliances, prices seemed a little high for the items. I have heard that the warranty is one month which is a bit risky. If they were less than 50% ticket price than the MSRP, deals would be better. If you need a short term solution to an appliance need, this place is good.

Had a very good experience here! We were looking for A front loader washer and dryer. We were greeted by Ray the owner as soon as we came in. He showed me the available inventory and even took the time to explain the differences between each brand and the different features. He even gave us tips on proper cleaning and maintenance. We didn’t purchase the first day as we continue to look around but came back to this store and made our purchase. It was simple and convenient. Ray was even nice enough to give us the cords and drain tubes at no cost. We have had our Samsung washer and dryer for several months now without any issues or complaints. We looked around at many different places and we were finding lots of Over priced junk and that’s why we returned and made our purchase here. We definitely recommend if you are in the market for a refurbished appliance come check this place out first!

Simply an outstanding experience. Elizabeth is most helpful, and very thorough in explaining the machines, the refurbishment, delivery and most important the warranty options. The machines I selected were delivered on time with care by the contract delivery guys. A small problem with one of the controls on the washing machine became apparent immediately after delivery. Elizabeth arranged for a service tech to check out the machine the next day. He said that he had to get the part, and would be back the next day. He returned, as promised with the part, but it didnt work. I was asked by the warranty administrator to contact Ray, who was filling in for Elizabeth, to arrange a replacement machine. I visited the store, and Ray very graciously set me up with an equivalent (different nameplate--same machine under the skin) pair for delivery the next morning. In my opinion as a landlord, the extended warranty is good value for money, and my experience with the service provider indicates that I can rely on prompt warranty service if needed down the road.

One of my vip clients bought 2 washing machines from them I had an appointment to be there at 10am I was there a little early they took care of me right away without having to wait for the official opening time.Had a great conversation with one of the workers as he prepared my clients order.The store had a wide selection was immaculate, organize, and clearly customer friendly with wide Isles.

I purchased a dryer from this store and after 2 uses it broke. I was told that the appliance came with a 30-day parts and labor warranty and if anything went wrong they would come and fix it. Due to the store not being able to deliver the appliance in a timely manner, I rented a truck to pick it up that same day and was assured that the warranty would still stand. Now they informed me that it will be $70 to have them come and fix it. Very frustrating because the salesman used the warranty to sell the product and they can’t honor it. I would not have purchased and definitely not paid to rent a truck if the salesman mentioned they won’t honor the warranty they offer.

We bought a dryer at the Mayport location a month ago. Unfortunately, it stopped heating after a week. We followed the warranty process and at first, we thought that only labor was included and we would have to pay for the parts, which did not make us happy, since it stopped heating after only a week. I contacted them and was put in touch with Nikki. She explained that was not the case and there would be no cost to us to fix it. I did have to take the dryer to their downtown location, which at first, seemed like a hassle. However, it was like a field trip. I have never seen so many washers, dryers, stoves, fridges, etc. being worked on in a warehouse! It made the drive worth it.Nikki was hands on and even helped bring the dryer into the warehouse. The techs were great, fixed it right there on the spot and I got to watch and learn. The issue was with the thermostat that had gone bad. In addition to the thermostat, the tech even swapped out the heating element to ensure it would work for a long time, even though it was working fine. I was in and out in 30 minutes.Great service after the sale!

The staff didnt even acknowledge me until I had been there for almost 10 minutes. I was literally the only person there and walked past him several times. Never looked up for the computer to even say hey Ill be there in a minute. Also very overcharge prices for used appliances.Edit to owner response:As the owner did say in his response, no I was not wearing as face mask due to a medical condition which I was perfectly fine leaving after he said he could not do business with me if not wearing a ppe. My problem was even though he had computer work to complete he didnt even for a split second acknowledge my presence to say hey Ill be with you in a moment. Poor customer service is the same no matter if someone is wearing a mask or not.

I purchased a refrigerator from these people less than a year ago not even 6 months I have reported since then a problem with the freezer defrosting causing me to lose food Ive called the owner Ralph which has a repair guy Jr. That is very rude is a very rude insensitive and uncaring of the fact that I am still a paying customer of a $2000 freezer I have made several complaints about the repair guy and this refrigerator and yet no one still has gotten back with me or repair my refrigerator the owner Ralph is very nasty when talking to you and I would not buy anything else from these people because the customer services sucks

We purchased a freezer from them a month ago and picked up the freezer ourselves. The sales person told us that if we laid the freezer down that the warranty would not be valid as it probably would not start back up. We had no other way to get it home so we laid it down and then when arrived home we let the freezer stand upright for several days before plugging it in. It worked great for 29 days and on the 30th day it smelled like it was going to start a fire so we unplugged it. When I filled out a warranty request, it was declined. When I spoke with the salesman, He said “you defied me and laid the freezer down so of course we’re not going to cover it“I don’t know how they stay in business with this type of poor customer service but I wish I would’ve read the reviews before sinking $250 into this piece of junk.

We’re a military family and purchased a washer and dryer. I wish I would’ve read the reviews before walking in there and purchasing from this place. Along with other reviewers, our dryer stopped working and it was past the 1 month warranty. When we called to have someone come fix it, they told us it was gonna cost approximately $60-$70 just for them to come not including parts. It’s been over a month and haven’t heard anything from them. I’m very disappointed at the poor customer service. I regret purchasing from this place. $600 just went down the drain. :(

I bought a used dryer at Appliance Mart over 6 weeks ago. I read many of the reviews on the place before going there, I almost didnt go because of the reviews. I spoke with Ray on the phone, he said he had several used dryers in stock.When I got there, I expressed my concerns having read the reviews. Once I saw the store, I didnt see any reason to rely on other experiences. Its a store, not a garage.It was closing time, yet I wasnt rushed to make any decisions. Once I chose the dryer, Ray wheeled it to the back, hooked it up and let me see it in operation. He waited 15-20 minutes as it ran, he showed me the temperature coming from the exhaust. Then on to the paperwork. Pretty quick and painless. Small warranty, yet for a used appliance, seemed adequate for me. He then helped me load it into my truck. Handshake and Im on my way.Ive waited 6 weeks to post a review to allow ample opportunity for the dryer to fail. Its been used far beyond a normal 6 weeks worth of drying and still working great.I would definitely recommend Appliance Mart to friends and family.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SPECIAL PLACE. Moved onto military base, needed a washer and dryer but the owner will not accommodate (even for extra money) delivering on base when only slightly more locked down. Our moving company that has zero military associations was more than happy to take care of us, and we returned the kindness with happily paying a higher rate to the gentelmen doing the delivery. This guy lost our business forever.

Delivery was convenient and appreciated, but for the extra price youre supposed to get in home servicing if there is an issue, and if its within the first month, it should be covered by warrenty also. I had issues with my dryer making an ungodly squeeling sound, actually causing issues with my neighbors in my apartment complex just two weeks after purchasing. After letting him know, I was told his technicians would be on it and let me know about a time to meet and fix it. Two months later, still no techs. I messaged him again requesting an update or an ETA and was told that his techs felt it was not an emergency, which is fair, the dryer still works for the most part, but that they were backlogged and would be on it. Now four months later, after attempting to reach out again, still no news from him or the technicians. Im now looking at purchasing a new washer/dryer set from an actual retailer and will not be revisiting this location or purchasing used appliances from here again. Based on my experience during this purchase I would also not recommend others to do so unless they have no expectations of issues getting fixed like promised under warrenty.

The gentleman attending the store was curious and helpful. However, the refrigerator stopped on day 2 of being in use. Over the next 18 days, of emails and phone calls a repair showed up to diagnose the problem and never returned to fix the refrigerator. Thirteen days after returning the refrigerator my credit card has not been refunded.

We bought a used washer and dryer from them used it for a month and the washer burned up and filled my garage with smoke, I was able to unplug it before it got any worse luckily I was home it could have lead to a house fire. Then to top it off they denied the warranty claim and now want us to pay to have it brought back to them so they can charge us to repair it if it can be repaired if not we’re out the money. Don’t get scammed like we did stay far away.

My first time review for an appliance. I just had to have a beige/bisque color stove. My glasstop broke. I wanted to share I am so happy with my GE glasstop beige stove. Everything works very well and looks new. I sounded like Columbo as I asked many questions which Ray did an excellant job answering. Shop here at your own risk. I took my chances and it didnt work out. I bought 2 beautiful machines. Told they were scratched or dented models but as with pre-owned vehicles, they arent guaranteed to be perfect. Ok. But, in the first 30 days, you have a warranty. The warranty is essentially a deal this shop owner (Ray) has with Maurice, a one-man appliance repair guy in town. Maurice came to fix each machine and neither fix worked. The third time he came out, said the dryer problem is actually my home air ducts (it wasnt). He replaced my washer basket but the problem never resolved and he didnt really care. A legit repair company estimated me over $300 in repairs. I think Rays operation is not necessarily dishonest but he should have tried more to help me fix/replace the machines. He writes himself out of liability after 30 days. Unfortunately the broken machines put me out over $500 (plus another $1600 to buy another set from Lowes). Truly disappointed, I would have been a repeat customer.

We were past their replacement warranty and were just hoping for the discounted parts and labor, but they brought us a newer washer a few days later! Got a solid price on a LG front loader washing machine that came with the pedestal as well. The sales person Ray wasnt pushy at all and very easy to deal with. The machine was delivered the following morning and due to the size of the new washing machine my dryer cord would not reach the plug in. Antonio (delivery driver) gave me a new dryer cord for no charge even though I didnt even purchase a dryer from them only the washing machine. Antonio went above and behind to make sure I was taken care of.These are used and refurbished machines. You have a risk when you buy anything that has been used previously and I think as long as the customer is smart enough to understand that this is a good place to consider if you cant afford brand new machines.

I have bought a front load dryer from them almost 2 years ago or more and to this day its working like a charm. Today we went back to them and bought a stove and dishwasher and Im sure we will get the same expectation as we currently do with our dryer. For the price I would of paid for these on Craigslist with no warranty definitely made sense to go back to Appliance Mart. Gives us peace of mind knowing that everything actually works great. To the people I saw complaining on here, those are the people I wouldnt want to give free stuff to! I mean its used not new! There is risk involved just like buying a used car . If you want perfect go pay $800 and up for new.

Terrible, shifty, not honest.I visited the store and met Ray. He appeared to be nice, knowledgeable, and honest. Purchased 3 sets of stoves and fridges for my rental properties located in Hawthorne Florida. Ray stated that if we paid for delivery his people would exchange any items that had problems. We paid 250.00 for delivery. The appliances were not delivered on the correct day. His delivery people damaged my items, and were running behind. This was very inconvenient but I let it slide. Things happen. I CANNOT LET WHAT FOLLOWED SLIDE.2 of the 3 stoves did not work when we plugged them in. Interesting for fully tested appliances. Just answered another phone call from a tenant stating their refrigerator does not work. Yes - 2 out of 3 of both the stoves and refrigerators have broken. Hummm - Fully tested?Again things happen. I would like to tell you that Ray and Appliance Mart stood behind their products and service. But sadly I cannot. Ray told me that because the delivery was so far from the store that he could not, and would not exchange the items as promised. I could bring the items back for exchange. But he could not deliver. Interesting - Why would I pay 250.00 for a late delivery? If not to assure that if I had a problem it would be handled. In fairness Ray states that is not how he heard our conversation. And he I am quoting is just an employee, and would lose his job if he took care of the problem.Bottom Line -Life is to short to deal with shifty people. I have paid out of pocket for repairs on all of the items. Dont want to risk having to fix more unreliable appliances from Appliance Mart. If I have anymore issues I may pull all of the items, and trash them. I hope that I saved anyone who even thinks of shopping or trusting Ray and Appliance Mart time and money. Both he and the company he works for are very bad news.

We walked in to get a used washer/dryer set and were immediately met with an offer for two machines that looked new enough and at a very reasonable price. The woman who was working there was helpful and seemed to really get us through the buying process as quickly and efficiently as possible. We now know why.The problem with this place is that they use 3rd party contracting for delivery and setup as well as any repairs you may need done. It turned out that the reason we were brought through the sale so quickly is that our washing machine we were recommended leaked and shot water out of the back basically flooding our laundry room on the FIRST TIME WE USED IT!!!After calling the store we were once again informed that the third party contractors who do the repairs would contact us to schedule a service appointment. After waiting more than a week to hear from them, we were informed that we could not have repairs done to our machine and we would have to schedule the contractors who brought the machines to our house to come and pick them up and then they would be replaced.Due to our thrifty spending we were informed that our machines we had bought are not of equal value to any of the remaining machines they had in stock and we would now be forced to pay the difference in order to get a matching washer/dryer set. That was over a week ago and we have net received any kind of response regarding a potential pick up and new deliver date.It has been 2 weeks since we bought our machines and have not done one load of laundry in them and are now being asked to pay more money after being scammed into a leaky washing machine on the initial purchase and having to network the logistics of a repair ourselves all WHILE UNDER A ONE YEAR WARRANTY!!!!Do not buy anything from this place. While you think you may be saving some $ up front, the potential time and headache that a small issue with your purchase could bring makes this a bed decision every time.Go to an actual appliance store or even trust someone on CL who has a working one they can show you, because this place does not understand customer service or business logistics and will take you to the cleaners literally in order for you to do your laundry.We spent $400 on two machines almost 3 weeks ago and have had them sitting in our laundry room since. Customer service and loyalty do not exist here. I always try to support local businesses when I can, but in this case I made a mistake and do not want others to have to go through this hassle of dealing with these people.

I was looking for appliances (stove & refrigerator) with specific dimensions. Although, the mart did not have them in stock, they took my requested dimensions and called me as soon as something came in. I bought the stove first. It works great. I am very please with it and with the price that I paid. Although, I found a fridge at a different venue, had I waited a few days, I would have gotten the fridge that they notified me about today.I recommend Appliance Mart for anyone who needs affordable used appliances. The products come with a 30 day parts and 1 year labor warranty. I will buy from them again should I need any other appliances.

The warranty coverage is deceiving. The claim is 30 days parts and service, and 90 days parts covered. I purchased a washer that has run loud since delivered, after I was sold on the most quiet machine on the floor. As the noise has increased Ive called for service. The number provided never gets an answer. Once contact was finally established I was informed that a $70 service fee is charged to send a technician out, plus cost of parts.

Spent $190 on a junk washer that had to be returned twice, thankful they have a 30 day return policy. I made a huge mistake, should have spent a little more and got a new basic washer. The first washer leaked all over my floor and the second one had a major problem with the drum. Do yourself a favor and buy a new one or buy used from someone that actually sells products that were inspected, I dont care what they say, those appliances are spray painted junk! Just go to LOWEs, do not be fooled by the barrage of tacky signs.

I came into this store to help a relative purchase a washer & dryer. She was leery of buying a refurbished washer & dryer due to having never bought used equipment before and the potential for scams out there in the marketplace. I can happily report that these fears were unfounded as far as Appliance Mart is concerned.The gentleman who assisted us, Ray, was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and straightforward in the type of equipment we were purchasing and the companys polices on repairs, returns and delivery. He even allowed us to check the models in the back. Since our funds were tight, Appliance Mart was open to negotiation on the prices.Appliance Mart offered delivery and the crew (Gil) were both courteous and worked swiftly.We did have one issue with the washer suffering a mechanical failure, but Appliance Mart turned what could have potentially been a disaster into a great experience: they quickly sent out a repair team and were able to swap out the machine at no additional charge.I would do business with Appliance Mart again and would recommend them if you are in the market for a washer and dryer. (or oven, refrigerator or window-mounted A/C unit.)

You cant trust a word this company has to say. They totally misrepresented the stackable washer / dryer that they delivered to us. They said that they had run it through its cycles and that it was in perfect condition. Neither statement was true. First of all it arrived without a power cord on it and the washer drum was had trash in it. It was obvious that it had not been tested. When we ran the washer it sounded like a train and after two runs of the dryer, it seized up.Getting in touch with a person that can actually resolve an issue is a joke. They dont answer their phones or the email submissions from their webpage. You will leave a message and wait, and wait, and wait. Bought a washer and dryer. Dryer works fine. First washer, the cold water didnt dispense. We took it back next day for another one. That one wouldnt even agitate. Calling their warranty line is no use; you leave a message and they never call back. Filed a complaint with BBB, after going back and forth they tried to say because we chose self delivery over their delivery that we could have mishandled the washers. I would believe that if the second one was working for a reason other than a faulty lock switch! Avoid this company! You think you are getting a decent machine for a good price but you will waste your money.

DONT DO IT!! Horrible Service! The guy was nice at first when we bought our washer from there. Told us he would give us $35 for our old washer. When my husband took it up there he said he didnt have any checks or cash to pay him, to come back next Monday. After two attempts to get our check he acted like he didnt know what we were talking about, like he didnt remember us. After finally writing the check it was ONLY FOR $15!!!!THEN we start noticing a rancid smell on our clothes. So I made sure that I was putting clothes straight into the dryer and it was not me waiting to long. Still, after bleaching, tide washer cleaner still STUNK OUR CLOTHES. So I call them and tell them whats going on and they say, nope, sorry, since its been in your home you cannot return it! THEY SELL BROKEN EQUIPMENT THAT THEY CLAIM THEY PUT THROUGH A 12 POINT INSPECTION BUT THEY SOLD ME A BROKEN WASHER, THAT LEAKED (ALOT), DID NOT AGITATE, AND SHOOK VIOLENTLY, AND WITH A WARRANTY. EVEN THOUGH IT WENT THROUGH A 12 POINT INSPECTION THAT THEY CAN NOT PROVE, IT CAME TO ME WITH OLD WORN OUT SUSPENSION BARS, HOSES MISSING CLAMPS AND MUCH MORE....I PAID FOR THE DELIVERY AND FULL WARRANTY AND STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN IT FIXED, ALMOST 2 WEEKS LATER. I HAVE TO GO TO THE LAUNDRY MAT TO WASH CLOTHES. THIS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Sold me a fridge that broke in a month, replaces with another broke in 3 months, replaced with a 3rd & broke in a month. All in all over $1000 for 3 junk fridges & delivery fees. Hired 3 independent repair companies all stated they used genetic parts which will fail & they get more calls from all this places appliances. No refund, bunch rude a-holes selling complete garbage. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

The service and employees at Appliance Mart are definitely its plus as they are prompt and courteous, however the quality control of this company leaves much to be desired. I purchased a Fridgidare dryer from Appliance Mart on 1/17/17. It was promptly delivered the next day by Gil and his partner. It did not occur to me there may be a problem when Gil tested the machine and it only ran for 10 seconds before shutting off. He said he didnt know the settings so I figured he had it on a sensor setting and since there was not wet laundry in the machine it simply shut off. I too had this issue the first time I used the dryer and thought I was just unfamiliar with the settings as it would eventually run after turning it off and back on several times. After a couple of days of the same issues I called for service on 1/21/17. I spoke with James in their service center on several occasions. He said they were ordering parts. On 1/27 Ray called and said they would be delivering a different dryer that he tested and tested and tested again to make sure there were no issues. They delivered this dryer, an Electrolux, on the 27th. Once installed, it was noticed that the door didnt stay closed. They would schedule service and I would keep the door closed with duct tape until it could be fixed. On 1/31 James came to fix the drier. He took the door apart and determined the latch was broken & he would have to order the part. On February 1st they delivered yet another dryer, this time a Kenmore. Today is February 8th and Im hoping I dont have another dud, as when the timer goes off the clothes are still damp. Needless to say, Im over it and will just continue re-starting the drying cycle. At this point Im concerned whether my warranty starts the day they delivered the last working dryer (the 31st) or the day they delivered the first non-working dryer (the 18th). I am hoping for the best yet expecting the worse. I really dont have time for this, so next time I will simply purchase a new appliance rather than dealing with this circus.

Complete liars. Fail to disclose that if things dont fit after they tell you they will, they expect you to keep them or get a store credit! That might be OK, but have no stock! I told the idiot girl it would not fit and she insisted they installation guys would make it fit. Sure enough, no fit. Now I have to call all over town to get a replacement since Im moving in two days and these thieves wont a issue a refund! God help me if the rest of the reviewers are right and something breaks!

About 2 weeks ago My husband and I purchased a Refrigerator and stove set from Appliance Wholesalers. I was surprised at the amount of options they offered us and how clean and organized the showroom was. The gentleman who helped us was incredibly polite and continued to work with us until we arrived at a price my husband and I could afford with delivery included! A few days ago the fridge started to act up so I called, they were here the very next day to come look at the fridge. They fixed the issue and I havent had a problem since. This is a FANTASTIC Jacksonville find, and I will be back to purchase a new washer and dryer set within the year! Great place for anyone who is strapped for funds but needs good reliable equipment for their home. The warranty just cant be beat, and the customer service is out of this world!
