I recently rented a vehicle from Leisure Sports. Originally, the vehicle was not available until my third day in town. They told me they would call me if it became available earlier.That sounds good in theory, but in practice I know that was unlikely. Guess what? The vehicle became available and they called. It was a great example of stellar customer service. I feel grateful and blessed to have found Leisure Sports.

Rented a few inflatable kayaks. Staff was helpful and made great suggestions on where to go kayak.

Great service and friendly helpful staff, the machines ran great and we had no issues! Would use them again!

Im very disappointed with this business. My family was involved in a three raft flip and pile up this weekend at Haircut Rock on the Snake River below Jackson, 30 people in the water within 30 seconds. Mad River guides pulled most of us to safety, and organized a search and rescue with the Forest Service to find the others that were missing. Mad River guides floated everyone they pulled out of the water to shore, secured our raft to a tree, and put us on their bus to meet the Forest Service at the upper parking lot. By 10pm that night everyone was located, but we were still searching for one of our dogs that ended up on the other side of the river. We contacted Leisure Sports the next morning to see if we could come pick someone up from their office to help us float the raft out since everyone was traumatized, and their only concern was that we didnt have the rafts back in time. They immediately charged us for an additional day plus the paddles that were lost. A few of us got back in the raft and floated it down so we could get it returned. As a business owner myself I understand that there are times for some empathy, and this was one of those times.

We are in a current dispute at this minute with these guys. We have 3 snowmobiles reserved for today. I called to get directions. Their rep says “we have a problem, the county is asking people to stay off the road due to a snowstorm”. In other words driving is dangerous at this time. (We have to trailer their machine snowmobiles to where we can ride). So I said just cancel my deposit. He said no, he would make us a reservation for another day. I told him this is the only day we could go. Please cancel the deposit. He said he would look into it. I called back and he said he would not refund deposit and we could tow the trailer “if we were willing to weather the road conditions”. I said, you told me the County wants people to stay off the roads. He said, “well I don’t want to lose your deposit”. So the County says road conditions are dangerous but this guy cares more about the money. I asked him to have the owner call me. I m still waiting.UPDATE: The company called me later that day and apologized for the confusion and did refund my deposit. I would try to use them on a future trip to Jackson Hole.

Feb 2021 - We rented two snowmobiles and a tow vehicle. We received a 2007 Chevy Suburban that had warning lights on, the drivers side mirror held on with a zip tie and almost no tension in the steering wheel. They also gave us a trailer that held four snowmobiles to carry our two snowmobiles with the 14 year old falling apart suburban. We paid to take the car about an hour away to Togwotee Pass. After about 15 minutes on the road, we decided the vehicle was not safe on regular town roads and definitely would not be safe enough to get up the mountains with the trailer and snow. We have a 25 ft wake boat and tow it regularly behind a 2020 F150 so we are used to towing things. The main issues were the quality of the tow vehicle (should have been sold for scrap) and the oversized trailer. We had only two adults and one child in our group. We returned everything immediately and they refused to refund any of our money. They offered to find a new vehicle, but at that point their lot was nearly empty and we had already killed an hour of the rental time. Bottom line was at that point we had no faith in their vehicles and did not want to risk our lives. I would definitely not recommend using this place as they use really old vehicles that are in disrepair. Definitely try another company or get a guided tour. It was better to write the cost of the rentals off as our loss than risk any more money from damages to their broken vehicles or to ourselves.

I was shocked to see the negative reviews on this company. My experience could not have been anymore perfect! I rented twice in a 30 day period. First time I was looking for something special to do for a date I was planning. Derek, one of the staff, took almost an hour showing me different areas to ride and explained the difference between the trail sleds and mountain sleds. Made sure we had the perfect location and sled. Date was a huge success. He damn sure did not need to take the extra time he did, but he did so with a smile!I was so impressed with the service and the amazing riding opportunities that he laid out forme that my brother and I drove out from the Midwest to try our hand at mountain sleds and deep powder. Turns out thousands of miles of UP trail riding does not prepare you for powder and mountain riding. What did help us have a blast was the team at Leisure Sports. They called to confirm our trip and realized they had made a mistake in the booking so upgraded us to 850 sleds from the 600s we booked, at no extra cost! Then they had us come in early if we wanted to so they could go over maps and riding techniques. The next day at pick up, as they had done my first rental, they walked us through the sleds features. They took photos all the way around the sleds with us. They had us confirm the gas levels and again spent 30 minutes recapping trails and techniques. As for the sleds, they were 2020 all brand new! My sled had less than 300 miles. It was a beast. I ride a Arctic Cat F800 trail sled so I am use to power but these long track 850 are amazing sleds. We had them for 2 days and never had a single problem. The machines were amazing the service was above and beyond and the trails and conditions were off the hook!!!Can not recommend Leisure Sports enough. I will be back many many more times!!!!Special thanks to Derek, the kid is a class act!PS - they ask for gas receipts when you return sleds and walk them again upon check in so not sure how the hell some of the issues mentioned in other post happened!?

Awesome rentals, brand new snowmobiles, easy to rent and they provide a hitch if you don’t have for a small fee which came in handy when visiting. Great trailers, easy on easy off. Great folks. Good advice as well. Will return again!

Rented 2 2021 850 mountain sleds from them. Derrick was MORE than helpful, showing us on the maps where we could ride and where to avoid! The sleds worked well and we had a blast, thanks!

I rented a touring sled (600CC Skidoo if memory serves), a tow vehicle and trailer. I like the fact that they got me the equipment I needed on short notice and it was turn key (trailer, sled, vehicle).The snowmobile was in good condition and worked great. I had zero issues with it over 3 days using it to go back and forth from my snow bound house in Moose to the trail head I park at. Id give the sled 5 stars for sure. The only reason I drop the star rating overall is due to the poor condition of the tow vehicle that would not start when I returned to the trail head. Very dead battery. Fortunately I had my vehicle there as well and my tools and jumper cables, so I was able to get it running without outside help. But had I not been prepared I would have been in a bad spot. The rental rates are comparable to other places in town and they did work to accommodate me at the last minute, so I appreciate the service and would probably rent from them again if I didnt have my own sled.

Understanding the mask mandate yet not offering options to customers who don’t wear masks “prior lung issues causing anxiety & panic attacks” then immediately telling ie customer “to bad put the mask on or take your business elsewhere, I don’t care we don’t need your business”. No option to take care of business outside the doors to accommodate paying customers.Instead of telling customers to kick rocks it may be helpful to provide alternatives in these situations.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Got a $450 charge 2 months later for a defective bladder on an inflatable Kayak. We got the wrong pump initially and had to go back for the correct one. Then when bladder had a hole in it was blamed for the hole. Then they gave us a hard kayak even though we were from Florida and did not have experience on rivers with rapids. And the kayak did not even have a skirt or a cover for the front storage so it filled up with water and I spent 10 minutes fighting for my life in the river while trying to grab all of my belongings. Do not go here this place is full of amateurs with no concern to their client safety. And with no leadership to speak with. Only a $450 charge two months later without warning.

Me and my sister rented a couple of paddle boards from this place today and it was a good experience! The paddle boards were well taken care of and the customer service was awesome too. The guys working helped us load the paddle boards in and when we went to return them, they helped us unload as well.

Called before our vacation and reserved a raft for the following day. When we arrived they told us we had to hook up a trailer in order to haul the raft. We were in a rental vehicle, and we didnt have a ball to attach to the hitch. They said they would rent us the ball. Then, they tell us we can take the raft anywhere we want. The problem we ran in to is we would have no way to return to our vehicle after we take the raft down the river. We asked them if they provide that service and they said no. We should have two cars... one to have at the starting point and one to leave at the end point. We explained we are from out of town and we only have one vehicle. We also had no idea where to go. The manager was short with us and rude. She showed no compassion or understanding at all. Even if this was all a misunderstanding or miscommunication, they didnt try to resolve the problem. I was really surprised by the way we were treated. I wouldnt recommend.

Go here and rent an inflatable Kayak if you want to-Get the wrong pump to inflate kayaks-Spend and extra 40 minutes going back and get the correct one-Get a defective bladder with a hole in it-Get a replacement Hard Kayak without a skirt to stop it from filling up with water-without a front storage cover so it fills up with water also-spend 10 minutes in the Snake River trying to get to the side with your belongings-GET A $450 CHARGE ON YOUR CARD 2 MONTHS LATER FOR THE DEFECTIVE BLADDER.Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. These guys are amateurs and crooks.

I wouldn’t recommend if you aren’t already familiar with the area. It closes earlier than you’d expect. Staff wasn’t particularly helpful (left out info about permits). Prices were reasonable though, and we made a same-day reservation.

As residents, we have rented from this company several times over the years. We appreciate their service, however was disappointed recently when the service changed to an attitude of entitlement.I understand businesses operate with specific hours. However, I also understand that continuing a high level of customer service does sometimes mean that a 10 minute wait speaks volumes to your guests when you are made aware of the situation.We called to give the staff advance notice we were en route to return equipment we rented. Instead of accommodating a few extra minutes, the staff justified bringing it in the morning by stating misinformation of travel time to location, an hour travel vs. the actual 20 minutes. This was not possible with our work schedules for the following day. After work the next day, I stopped in to have conversation about the situation. The gentleman working then made an accusation of inaccurate arrival time, when he wasnt present when we arrived the evening before, adding a condescending threat that they couldve charged because of our extra 10 minutes after business hours.We hope to use this company again in the future and believe that this is an isolated experience. Busy summers take a toll on all the businesses in our community, however, it doesnt cost anything to be considerate to guests, local or tourists.

Great little shop! Had a particular request for an uncommon raft model and they met our request by pulling a brand new one for us from their retailer floor. Awesome customer service but really a great value for day or multi day rentals. Theyll provide everything you need!!

BE AWARE! Gas sensors on both two seated snow mobiles were broken showing that tanks were empty causing us to go back to the gas station after unloading 6 snowmobiled and waste 1 hour of riding time. There is no service over there so we could not contact the company.After we arrived back and explained it to them they said it’s not a big deal and they were sure that the tanks were full of gas. Okay, how were we suppose to know?! We didn’t want to stuck in a middle of nowhere with empty tanks...Make sure you check your final bill! We were charged the deposit for 6 snowmobiles twice! After 1 hour of an explanation they finally admitted their mistake and refunded us. FYI, they won’t tell you, but they have $40 cancellation fee for each snowmobile. Also, make sure you check all the snow mobiles really carefully before taking them. Take pictures! After arriving home we got our card charged for $390 without our authorization for the broken seat even though every snowmobile was checked by them before we left their place! All we did, just went to see the hot springs and came back- no crazy tricks, nothing! Looks like a big scam... we are working on the charge back with our bank because we have pictures and videos from our trip to prove we did not brake anything.VERY DISSAPOINTED.

Th owners and employees seemed very friendly and helpful. The owners are especially knowledgeable about the area and have great suggestions for where you should go and what to rent for the best experience. Yes, I would recommend you use Leisure Sports for car and equipment rentals in the Jackson Hole area. They will Ben pick you up at the airport.

I purchased a 2016 Ski Doo Grand Touring Ace 600 Snowmobile from Leisure Sports and I absolutely love it!!The staff is incredible in all aspects of my needs and 100. Percent knowledgeable about my purchases.I recommend this shop to anyone interested in Snowmobileing.I will be back in town mid December and plan on buying some extra parts for my sled.Thank you very much to absolutely everyone who helped me! These guys did great! Super cool to deal with. Rented a car for our trip into Yellowstone and could not have been more pleased!

Highly recommend this shop! The staff were so friendly and took a personal interest in our activities, giving very detailed instructions on where to go and what to do when we got there. It seems more like a family-run store than a super-store revolving door gig. We will definitely use their services again!

Terrible service. Expect an hour wait when you return. Dirty boats. Smelly life jackets.

My wife and I where really exited to ride the sleds. We were on a trail for 20 miles. We dropped the sleds off the next morning and I just got charged over $500 in “damages”. They also said they would contact me before charging and I was never called or reached out to. Don’t go there during a slow time of the year, they will try and get their money anyway they can.

Say hi to Charlie!! This place is super awesome! Its got Very cheap snowmobile rentals, snowshoes for 10 bucks a day, suit rentals, kayaks and canoes for warmer seasons. The best part is they rent SUVs with hitches so you can tow your own equipment to wherever and do your thing--no paying ridiculous Group tour prices when all you wanna do is your own.

Renting snowmobiles and equipment 5 stars! Friendliness and customer service of Austin 5 Stars.But then we had the return of our 8 sleds and they “discovered” 3 of them had damage that we caused. Discussing with the guy with glasses that did the inspection was responded with “I do appreciate you calling me a liar” or “I do the inspection of these sleds the same way each time” was completely unprofessional. Good thing we took pictures of all the sleds so that we could PROVE that he was indeed a slimy liar. Open and inspect all sleds to ensure they fill the gas because one of our sleds needed 2x the amount of gas even though we all followed the same trail to granite hot springs.HAVE MULTIPLE PEOPLE TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEOS OF ALL MACHINES BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!!!

Sleds were ok but BEWARE... these guys are scum bags. If you do decide to rent from them, take as many pictures of these snowmobiles, they will 100% try to blame you for things that were previously broken on them to make extra money. Total SCAMMERS! Apparently they have horrible reputation for doing this! Also double check the gas levels, ours were not fully filled like they stated.They didn’t expect us to have pictures to be able to prove their lies but we did. They said 5 of the 8 sleds we had were damaged because of us. We used these just on trails and didn’t rough them up or anything. Nice try but it didn’t work this time.

Bought a snowmobile from them and they had claimed it had a new top end. Got it home and it wouldnt idle. Checked compression and it was low. Tore it down and the pistons had no teflon coating left and were in bad shape with seizure marks and a flat spot on one of the rings. They did not look very new at all so i had to install a new top end myself. I did not have a very good experience with them.

We loved this place. They provided our group with a 6 person whitewater raft and we had an amazing day on the snake river. The following day we came back for some sightseeing tips and ended up renting paddleboards (SUPs) and exploring Grand Teton National Park lakes. Do not visit Jackson Hole without doing this. We will certainly be back. Thanks Brian @LeisureSports. 5 stars!

A lot of money for sleds that were very old and broken down.

Rented a vehicle, no emergency brake. Took it back and told them, said we wouldnt need it just throw it into park?? Also no windshield fluid, no ac and headlights were not functioning w/o brights on. Had to have it back by 9 so it could go back out right away.
