I needed a title for my car and when I called the guy help me right away. Was very polite and proactive. Im a very impressed.

Toyota Financial. A company that lacks integrity and does not care about the common person.I have been waiting on $14,658 for an auto insurance claim for over 3 months simply because Toyota will not send me my paper title in the mail. Not even after almost 50 phone calls. Literally.Every month for 5 years I had paid Toyota $600+ per month for a Prius. I had just paid the car off this past August 2018, two weeks later - Sept 2, 2018 - a drunk teenager smashed into it on the side of the road, totaling the car.Since the car had been paid off Toyota was preparing the electronic title info to get sent to the California DMV.We found out there was a big mix up between Calif DMV and Utah DMV. Straightening this out didnt take that long.Calif DMV then printed a physical title, and mailed it back to Toyota. Apparently they had to do this for some reason or another.After some time, a week or so, Toyota received the title. It was in Atlanta at one of their HQ. They told me COULDNT just go look for it. That it needed to be prepared, mailed again, this time to Phoenix where it can collect a lien holder release form then get sent to me. Thats protocol they say. Fine. Once it was ready, theyd mail me the title. Im yet to see anything. Theyve also told me many different times, from many different people, that it was either already sent out or getting prepared to be sent out.Ive also since learned that they sent it to my mothers house back up in Utah... after I SPECIFICALLY told them to mail it to me in LA. No sign of it at moms place. Ive called more times than I can count. No one seems to care enough to see any of this through. I get the run-around. I feel Ive been lied to numerous times. I get a different response every single time I call in. I need the title in my insurance guys hands to collect the claim money.Im writing this for two reasons. If you are considering financing through Toyota, my encouragement is to go elsewhere. Maybe you would have a better experience than me, but mine has not been positive since theyve collected all of their loan money.Secondly, maybe somebody who works for Toyota out there in the world will see this review and actually step up to help. Im not holding my breath.Thanks for reading.
