I worked with Beshoy at Universal and he was our main point of contact from start to finish. My roof, all of my siding, and all of my gutters needed full replacements per my insurance after the March hail storm. Universal came and gave the initial assessment/estimate and then I had them come out when my insurance adjuster came. They were excellent throughout the entire process and the only delays were from the supply side due to Covid for the vinyl siding. But once that arrived they put it on within a day or two of getting it in. I highly recommend Universal, thanks!

Highly recommend! After buying our first house, we worked with Universal on a few small projects to squeeze the last bit of life out of the previous roof. Our previous experience was terrific, so when the time came for a replacement, we stuck with them. From ownership on down, everybody we have interacted with from their organization has made us feel closer than customers. They are timely and considerate, they get to know you, and they make sure that your needs are met :)

My mother had a new roof installed and it was great. She is 89 and they were very sensitive to her age. Beshoy was the manager on the job and was awesome. He went to bat for us with our insurance company and was able to get coverage for the entire roof and decking! Totally recommend!

The two gentlemen were very courteous. They read my client notes to call my cellphone instead of ringing the doorbell when they arrived because I have dogs and they will bark like crazy. They had masks on when they walked up to the door, offered to put on shoe covers, and were very polite. As they were putting insulation in the attic, the best part was how great of a job they cleaned up. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs and the last thing I wanted was for one of them to accidentally eat insulation. I cannot recommend these guys enough.

Excellent and very skilled installers who know what they are doping and do it right. We had a large and complex roof. The old roof was removed and the new roof completely installed in 2 days. Equally important, highly knowledgeable in dealing with insurance company adjusters and maximizing insurance coverage if it is appropriate and should be a covered expense.

This is the third project we have done with Universal. They previously replaced a skylight and did some work on our front porch and those jobs went so well it was only natural that we would go with them for our major roof work. When it was time for our project to start, we were given a start date ahead of time and a crew began work when they said they would. The work done was beautiful, and we could not be happier. Now that I have a long term, water tight roof, I know I won’t need them up there again but I will certainly call them first for any future projects!

If you have an insurance claim for your home or just looking for an exterior contractor, this is the company to use. I live in Kentucky but own a home in Carmel, Indiana as well. I spent many hours researching who I should use to do a roof replacement, since I only come to my Indiana home in July-Aug. Universal worked directly with my insurance adjuster, they do the replacement in accordance to state code and manufacturing requirements, they guarantee the work, and deliver the best customer service I have ever experienced. Not only did the replace my roof, but the do copper replacement which looks AWESOME and siding! The sales person Rob was great to work with, he explained everything in detail, the process was extremely clear and smooth. They cleaned after the job and ensured I was satisfied with the work.

I received quick replies to inquiries, turn around on my job, and an excellent installation. They are a quality, home grown business, with a solid culture throughout their company. I can highly recommend.

I’m a Realtor and my clients needed an assessment on their roof, and due to my sellers working I was the one who would be there. I made an appointment for 1:30, then the day before they called to tell me it would be 2:30. I made accommodations for this and arrived at 2:30. At 2:50 I called to find out where he was and they told me he would be even later, arriving at 3:30 or so. So Jacob shows up an hour late, doesn’t apologize, but does the assessment. The next day after my sellers got the insurance all set up for their inspection, I let him know when they planned to be there. He told me to call the office and have them schedule him for that day. I called the office and she just flat out says nope that’s a Sunday and we don’t do that. So I let him know what she said, he read my message, and never responded. I will never recommend this company again and will warn others of using them. Absolutely awful.

Sarah and Crystal were always so patient with me on the phone and Rob and Gary for all the change orders I requested. I live in Westfield, and have a wood shake roof. It’s extremely difficult to find a contractor who is honest about wood shake. It seems everyone “says” they can do wood shake but you need to be careful who you use. This is the only company I would recommend to do any type of wood shake repair or replacement. They have a specific team that handles ONLY wood shake. My roof looks new after they got done. They also painted all my exterior wood and it turned out amazing. Thank you Universal!

Siding was replaced on two gable ends on my residence as well as a few other jobs around the house exterior. Sam Yeary was invaluable as he planned and supervised all the work. Universal Roofing was great to work with! Their representative clearly explained the process of how they work with the insurance companies as well as provided clear evidence of damage to the roof. A previous contractor left me in a bind when he failed to complete the siding job he started 5 months ago and I was stuck with siding that had fallen off my house. I called Universal to request they come out ASAP for an evaluation. The day before my appointment I get a call saying they won’t come out because they won’t evaluate someone else’s work. It’s been pouring down rain for three days straight, I have siding missing from my house, and they cancelled on me last minute. Luckily I found another company last minute but it seems I dodged a bullet with Universal!

Everyone at Universal Roofing & Exteriors were fantastic to work with from start to finish. You wouldnt expect anything less from a company started by a fellow Butler Bulldog! Justin was such a nice guy who even gave me advise on some other projects I was thinking of doing in the future. Roof got fixed promptly along with the wonderful repair and paint job on the bathroom ceiling. I wont think of calling anyone else when the next issue arises!

I called Universal for a siding assessment after we received a tough review from a sellers home inspection. After walking the property with John, he gave his honest opinion that our siding did not need replacement at all. The team did a great job repairing are roof. They showed use how they were going to do the work and asked if we had any question. When the we’re done it all looked fantastic. Let me start by saying Universal offers quality work at a fair price. We had our roof done last summer and they did an amazing job. They were in and out within 2 days and cleaned up everything when the work was completed. They truly offer the traditional style of customer service. I have to say Im very disappointed in my brief experience with Universal. I live in West Carmel. Our neighborhood was impacted by a hail storm in late April, so the roofing business has been very busy ever since. I got a couple of estimates from less known companies but I wanted to try Universal since I heard very good things from my neighbors. Ive been following up to get an estimate from them without success. My guess is that they are too busy and dont want my business. Where they drop the ball is when they do not call to even say sorry, this is taking longer than expected. Or anything else. They say the first impression last long... well, this one wasnt a good one.

Quality service and very professional

We HAD a shake roof, then it became a Part of a shake roof - we were the neighborhood feeder for raccoons. We called Universal, talked to Rob Yeary and he helped up choose the right roofing in the right color and we couldnt be happier. The house looks almost has that newer younger look, like when it was built. His crew came in ripped off the shakes, fixed any areas that needed fixing and then put on the new roof. They were very respectful of the landscaping and before they left for the day they did a nail sweep - I was very impressed. If we ever need a new roof, which will only happen if we move, this is who Ill call.
