I had Kylie and she was so nice. Her teacher was there for every next step. They made sure my hair was correct and even. I will definitely be going back and taking my kids!

If I could give no stars I would. I have tried supporting the school several times but each time is a negative experience. Poor booking, poor teachers to check hair. I will spend my money moving forward on folks out of school and experienced.

Most of the time the students that work with the public are very confrontational and looking to have a problem with people they are going to come across the right person and have a lawsuit for discrimination they shouldnt be allow to harass there clients and it be ok school or no school they are adults and should behave like one never coming back.. Need to undergo new mangerment they talk about people in there face people should not have to put up with that
I booked an appointment a month ago for this Saturday. I am leaving on vacation this Sunday. Got a phone call that the stylist had decided not to work this Saturday and there were no open appointments so I was cancelled with less than 48 hours notice and obviously very difficult position to find a salon in 2 days prior to my vacation. Very unprofessional.
Had an appointment scheduled at 5pm this evening. Got there 10 minutes early and checked in. After waiting 30 minutes, I went to the counter to find out what was going on. The woman searched around and came back 5 minutes later to tell me my stylist was on lunch. Apparently no one told my stylist I was there waiting. I left without being seen.Update: 4/26/21: response from the owner says they will reach out to you. No one ever reached out to me.
Called the day before to make an appointment and was told that appointments were not being made this day and that they were only accepting walk-ins. Came in the next morning to be told that they weren’t accepting any walk-ins and were not available for the next five days. Then was told I couldn’t stay with my friend if I didn’t have an appointment and ended up waiting in the car for three hours. Don’t even bother.
They have only a few black stylist and no products to service our hair but great otherwise, friendly and accommodating staff!!

Came here 3 days ago to get my hair cut and colored, but before I left when I got in my car I had color all over my face and my head was on fire because it wasn’t washed correctly,called them back and the lady at the front desk was so rude so I had to go home and wash the hair myself. I called the next day to get my hair cut correctly because it was poorly done and again the lady at the front desk asked me what i wanted her to do and that the director was going to call me later that day, it’s been 3 days now and no call or anything and I paid 50 dollars to go home with a irritated scalp and a bad hair cut.

I tried calling all morning to see what time my appointment was. I work during the week and cant be in my phone and I dont get off until they closed. They opened at 9am, I called 5 times and they didnt answer until 10,which they said was the apt time and wont try to get me in.When I called the first 4 times the phone rang once and it hung up,, when I called the 5th time it rang longer,, like someone was rejecting the calls earlier.Ive only ever been to this place. I wont be back.
Paul Mitchell is a great place to get your hair done for cheap! Getting color on my hair does take a long time but they are students and still learning. I have been going to Paul Mitchell for about 3 years now and I love the results every time.
This was my first time at the Paul Mitchell School and I was very excited to be able to have students learn to do hair. I had a simple request of coloring my hair a little bit darker than my normal hair color. Not much of an ask, right? Well, two hours and $50 later my hair looks exactly the same as it did when I walked into the place. I couldnt have been more upset having to spend money and waste my time for nothing.

Wanted to give -1000 stars. One if the worst business ever. They get clients with groupons, once client arrives, typical bait and switch. I walked out without service. I refused to pay 50+ dollars for beginner haircut.
My daughter went to school here. She came out with no experience, minimal knowledge and needing extra classes to do hair, nails and makeup. I’m really not sure what, if anything they taught at this school. Aside from paying for the school we got nothing out of it. We are now having to pay for her to learn to do all the things they were supposed to learn in school. To say I’m disappointed is a HUGE understatement. They are unorganized and completely incompetent as a teaching facility. Don’t waste your time or your money. You will regret it.
The front desk manager needs some anger management classes. She’s very rude and condescending towards clients and students and had the audacity to do it in front of me (a client). I feel sorry for students paying that much money to be bullied by the management. I was seriously considering sending my daughter here to study but I will be looking elsewhere now.

Rudest service I’ve ever had at front desk. Students are great, teachers and staff could use some work on friendliness toward their students but that blonde girl at the front, I think her name is Stacy was beyond rude to me. I even called to schedule the night of and she told me my student wasn’t taking clients but I spoke to my student through text and the student was free so I had to walk in and beg to be given her and was then told that my student wasn’t there but she was I even spoke with my student. Stacy told me I was being impatient and needed to calm down but I was more than patient and I asked politely. Extremely unprofessional, really rude I normally never review places because I don’t like my name out there but I made an exception and am reviewing anonymously. This girl either needs to be fired or replaced.

I drove 30 minutes out of my way to get my hair cut here, based on a recommendation and I loved the idea of saving a bit of money while also providing someone some extra experience. I wanted a basic shampoo, cut and style. No coloring or anything else. Checked their hours on google, as well as their website, which showed they were open until 5pm on Saturdays. I arrived at 4:20 pm, and noted the time they close showed 5pm on the door to the school also. Upon entering I went to the desk and told them what I wanted and she advised me they would be closing any minute and the students would be leaving and they wouldnt have time for the cut that day. I find it very unprofessional for them to present their hours as one time but honor different time. Especially when some people might travel out of their way for them.
The girl who did my hair was very sweet. However, the two women working at the front desk weren’t so nice. It seemed to be extremely unorganized. Also, the teacher or mentor who was consulting with the lady doing my hair told the girl what to do. After if was done, I realized they had put bleach on top of my already bleached hair. I wanted a root melt. It was blended very poorly (which she will get better at when she’s actually out and learning more). Everyone was telling her how amazing it looked. I wasnt going to be that person. They told her not to add any toner until after it was washed and we could see what it looked like. They told her it didn’t need toner even though my hair was extremely brassy. It cost $70. I looked like a bumble bee. So the next week I went to my normal shop. It cost another $80 to fix it. Also found out that my hair that I have been working so hard to grow out was now breaking in the middle. I had to heavily layer my hair and cut it. I have so much breakage around my face now. And I am trying everything under the sun to get my hair back to the way it was before. I don’t necessarily blame the girl who did my hair. She is still learning. And she will get better once she is out on her own.
Lysci was my stylist today, she did an amazing job and exactly what I asked for! The education trainer came before hand and throughly explained the pricing scale along with the technique that would be done to achieve the look I wanted. The atmosphere was fun and energetic! I will be a repeat customer in the future!
Came here to have my hair and make up done for a wedding. The girl was patient with me trying to figure out exactly what I was wanting to have done. Gave me nice, natural make up and a really cute hairstyle. Will definitely be back for future weddings/events.

Ive gotten two haircuts from the Paul Mitchell School and was very happy with both. I had a different stylist each time and both were very focused and knew what they were doing. There was also an instructor that went around and checked on the stylists to give them pointers. The stylists listen to what you want done instead of doing what they think looks best, which is a problem Ive run into with salons. I am totally sold on the Paul Mitchell School. I now spend $14 on a haircut instead of $50 at a salon, and my hair looks better than ever!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I showed her a picture of how I wanted it and specifically told her that my natural hair color is dark and my roots are dark and I am trying to get AWAY from the dark hair look and want it light brown all over. I even showed her a picture of a blonde/brown color that I want. The student and her manager told me that they will make it light brown all over and ended up coming out PITCH BLACK DARK! When I complained they both wouldn’t even bother to agree with me. Instead the girl and their manager “Mrs.B” showed me attitude and didn’t even bother to fix it. Now I am left with a head of dark hair and absolutely hate it! IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HAIR ONE BIT, DO NOTTTTTT GO HERE! can’t even follow simple instructions and should atleast care one bit about customer support.

I have been to this school/business three different occasion. The first experience was great. The student, receptionist and team leader really took care of me. The second time not as much, but I thought they were just having an off day. The girl messed up a little, which really was not a problem until she called me crazy for telling her she went to far in on the left one. The 3rd time I did not even stay to get my hair cut and my eyebrows waxed. The receptionist quoted me 10 minutes and I waited 25. That is 15 minutes longer than the quote! I got up and left because there were three receptionist at the desk and none of them bothered to check in with me and let me know why it was taking so much longer or even check to see what was going on. One girl was eating at the desk which is very unprofessional and they were all talking about their weekends. I was miss quoted the each time before but the first time the one girl that was there apologized and checked in to ensure me that it would be any moment. The second time the girl was the only one there and the school was very busy. I understand that it is hard for one girl to keep up with everyone, but there was three girls are the station today and not one of them was appeared to be working. I decided to take my business to Regis in the mall where I paid 60.00 (not including the tip) Where I was quoted 15 minutes and was in the chair in 10. I much rather pay more when my business and time is respected.
I was a student here & would not recommend to anyone. I am from out of town & attended this school because of the “name.” The owner and staff of the time ruined my passion. Very overpriced for the education and (lack of) professionalism presented.

It’s my birthday tomorrow & I work 2 jobs I rushed on my only available time and got to the desk at 1016 for a cut & color & was denied apt bc you stop taking color at 1015 it was a minute one minute not even a whole one minute & the girl at the desk was extremely rude I understand rules but a minute 1 minute I will never come babk or never recommend
I have waited to post a review because I was so upset. But, I definitely feel that others need to know what might happen to you if you go there. I went in a week before Christmas to get a trim to get me through the holidays, nothing major. I always ask for a level 2 student, and I did this time as well. During my hair cut, my stylist asked for help from a couple of different instructors, which is fine. So, I get ready to leave and one of the instructors runs over to me, and asks me did you just run your fingers through your hair? I said yes, and she said that there were a couple of stragglers the student had missed. So, I sit back down and the student makes a couple of more cuts, and the the student, and the instructor say everything looks great. I pay for the cut, make another appointment, and tip the student for her services and leave. Later that evening when my husband gets home, he looks at me wide eyed and asks what happened to your hair? I m like what are you talking about? He has me look at the back of my hair, and it looks like 5 year old cut it with a pair of play scissors! From the from the sides looked fine and then I realized I was never shown lthe back. It was completely chopped up, long pieces, short pieces, uneven, I cannot even tell you how bad it was. The worst thing is no one there thought enough of me to tell me. They let me walk out like that. I have been going there for more than a year. None of instructors offered fix my hair, and as many times as she asked for help, they didnt do anything. Today, March 1, 2018, is The first time I have gotten my hair cut since before Christmas. It has taken that long for it to grow out enough for a cut to fix it. It looks pretty good now, but the stylist said the in another 6 weeks it will be all the way grown out from that horrible mess. I also went through ALL of the holidays with completely butchered hair! I cannot recommend this school at all. None of the people in charge there care at all. If I could give no stars I would.
My friend asked for something else and got something completely different. When she asked to speak to a manager they wouldn’t admit their mistake.

I had a very good experience here yesterday. I went in for the full treatment: highlights, lowlights, deep conditioning, cut, and products.I was given an appt. when I called for the next day. Ally was my student, but she was competently advised by several instructors.Excellent communication at the consultation. Superior hair color and products. Thanks!

This was my first experience with a beauty school!!! And my last!!! I rate this place as no stars!!!! Its not about saving a couple dollars!! It Is all about my hair and suppose to be a fun day!!! My appointment was at 9:30 am and I cashed out at about 3:15pm!!! Not only do I not like my hair, I cant even see the two colors I paid $74 to have put it!!! I was left several times during my 6 hour visit and they had a party of up does they had coming in and thats all they talked about!! What is funny to me is I sat there 6 hours to get my hair done!!! When I told them I didnt like it and I had been there already to long, they acted as if I was inconveniencing them!! They just shrugged me off as if It didnt matter! No one went above and beyond for me!! Ive worked in customer service my whole life and AM SO GLAD I TREAT PEOPLE BETTER THAN THE WAY I WAS TREATED!!! The funny thing of this story is I live in the Indianapolis area and had SArah or Jeanna went above and beyond to make my hair look like I at least had a frost lol I might have went back! The up does where from out of town so they wont be back either!! Please dont waste your time or money dealing with these frauds!!!!

I had a terrible experience at this location. After spending 6+ hours in the salon, my hair looks worse than when I started. When I attempted to contact the School to rectify the issue, customer service was extremely rude and unhelpful. I wasted almost $100. Would not recommend.
