Fully Restored A 60 year old scooter that had sentimental value. Complete tear down and rebuild was done with professional quality. Expect the job to take a while. We were so impressed that he now has two more childhood conveyances (a tricycle and two-wheeler) in his shop. This is not bargain basement work and is priced accordingly.

Tim was very responsive to our questions. We sent pictures of our IH 1970 pedal tractor (before). Tim sent the estimate for the total restoration very quickly, including all details of what he would complete. He kept us updated by email on the progress of our project. When completed, he sent pictures and made a correction to the color of the tractor seat, since ours was a little unusual, being red, instead of black. When we picked up the tractor, the paint job was actually better that it was when new. We would highly recommend Hoosierboy Restoration for your project. Tim was professional in every way and with every encounter, as our project was being completed.

Many years ago, my grandmother received an iron bed from her mother that she loved very much. As the years passed, my father slept in the bed and then it became a bed for me and my cousins whenever we stayed with Grandma. I used it the most because it was special to me and my grandmother promised it would be mine someday. When she passed away, my dad stored the bed in his garage and it began to age from neglect. I finally convinced him to give me the bed and I gave it to my youngest daughter who was 3 at the time. Twenty-five years later, my daughter was still using the bed but it was pitted and rusting. I was afraid it was time to retire the bed. But she desperately wanted to keep her bed and we checked with several companies to see about having it restored. We were told that it would cost more than it was worth. But, I then called and talked to Tim at Hoosierboy Restorations and he was confident that the bed could be restored and at a reasonable price. He also told us he could match the color it had been painted and, that afterwards, the bed would last for another 100 years. My daughter was thrilled.Tim called us on Wednesday to let us know the bed was done and he would deliver it. We were excited. When we saw the bed, my daughter was so happy she cried. It was beautiful. I had never seen it look so good because it was getting old many years ago when I had slept on it. But my daughter said that the bed had always looked like that to her, it was always beautiful even if only in her mind. Now it was true.I want to thank Tim and the people at Hoosierboy for an excellent job on my grandmothers old bed and making my daughter, Emma, a very happy young woman. She will have her beloved bed for many years to come.

Had an antique Buddy Lee doll that was broken into several pieces, Hoosierboy Restorations put it all back together again and made it look as new as the day it was origionally received! They’re so nice, easy to work with, competitive pricing, and very professional. I’ll definitely be bringing more projects back to them!

The new tractor with wagon is better than when it was new in 1981. The paint job, the International decal, the adjusted steering--now smooth, are first rate. This type of workmanship takes time and caring; Hoosier Boy is the best. My granddaughter, age one, will enjoy it and keep it for her children, I am sure. Bonnie, Massachusetts

Three years ago Tim Showalter and the gang at Hoosier Boys Restoration took an old 1948 Cleveland Welding Ladies Luxury Liner Bicycle that had hung in my uncles garage for probably 40 years. They worked with me on the style and color I was looking for and finished it in time that I could give it to her for our 39th wedding anniversary. This is now a family heirloom that will remain in our family for years to come.Tim is a super guy and his story is amazing. I know it was a struggle for him at first but it looks like he is at the top of his game and many of the pieces he turns out are just magnificent. I know he makes many people smile by restoring those items that people have from their childhood or those things their parents or grandparents had stored away.I highly recommend Hoosier Boys for all your restoration needs.Bill Smith
