Even when searching for units, Extra Space was extremely responsive and helpful. Their online self-service is also outstanding. Ended up losing the keys to my lock, went in and was in and out in 10 minutes with a new lock put on the unit. Edwin was able to remove the old lock in a matter of minutes and get me on my way! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STORING YOUR ITEMS HERE; UNLESS YOU ARE OK WITH A RANDOM RATE INCREASE WITHOUT NOTIFICATION!!!In setting up my storage, everyone was courteous and helpful.Now, I have received notifications of new contracts, receipts and other things from them via email without any issues.So after 2 years (not at an anniversary), MY RATE NEARLY DOUBLES with no notification at all.In calling the location to find out about the error, Raphael tells me that something was mailed and since I didnt receive it that he would see about a credit on the NEXT month storage.Now tell me why I would want to stay with them for another month if they would/could pop up and change the rate whenever they get ready without notification? Despite sending me updated contracts via email, Raphael says for security they mailed the increase notices only.I reached out to Edwin (store manager) when he was back in the office (today). He tells me that they are doing me a favor by not increasing me to the full rate and just a partial increase. He said that they have been getting MANY CALLS FROM MANY PEOPLE about the increase and them saying they didnt get a notification.Edwin said their system shows it was received at my address on June 3. I have an account set up with USPS to scan in my mail to show me what is coming on any particular day. THERE WAS NO MAIL FROM EXTRA SPACE STORAGE AROUND JUNE 3RD AT ALL. He offered to emailed me a copy of the tracking showing it was delivered and a copy of the letter sent. What he sent me is a screenshot from HIS SYSTEM with no tracking number to be verified saying it was delivered on JUNE 7TH. Edwin said he cant issue credit for the JULY payment that was increased - even though there was no notification. They can only reduce the rate of the AUGUST invoice to come. The letter copy he sent was NOT the letter supposedly mailed to me with a tracking number; it was a generic letter that is done in a design system that is set up to be mailed.So despite the company being aware of mismanaging of this rate increase AND them having no proof that they sent anything out AND they contradicting themself, they are NOT willing to do anything about it.It appears they either no longer care about their customers OR many they never really did. Im waiting for Andrew (district manager) to call me back now. IT ONLY MAKE SENSE TO REDUCE THE JULY PAYMENT THAT THEY INCREASED WITHOUT WARNING AND GOING FORWARD HAVE THE HIGHER RATE.Ill post an update if it ever shows they actually care.***20 JULY UPDATE***I was able to speak with another person who has items there and THEY DID NOT receive anything in the mail or email as well.Andrew (district manager) never called back. I spoke with Edwin again today who said hell call me back by the end of the day.To BBB, I go.##Its cute how the OWNER COMMENTED on this post about calling to get help. Is that not what I have noted that I have been doing?##****05 AUG UPDATE****Edwin notified me that there would be a credit from the Julys statement as he spoke with Andrews admin (since he was flying) and there would be a confirmation email.The email has never made it to my inbox.Two days ago, I received an email saying they are about to bill my NEXT monthly payment (which I have never received a pre-bill before). The kicker is IT WENT UP AGAIN!NOW ITS 3X than what it was 60 days ago.

I went in to Extra Space Storage in Wesley Chapel NC to look at a 5x10 unit. When I walked in I was greeted by Roxanne. She was so nice and informative, she drove me to the unit and explained everything. Few hrs later I decided that would be good for us and I called to set up the account. I was having issues and she told me she would call me before leaving to make sure I was able to sign everything. I wasn’t able to and went into the store and she went through all the signing and fees with me personally. It’s been a long time since I dealt with a employee so sweet, kind and all around helpful person. She is a asset to that company and made everything stress free.

Excellent service from two different employees. Needed to upgrade to a larger storage unit mid-month and was only charged an additional $13 bucks. This was perfect because I only needed the additional space for three days, however, I was able to keep the larger unit for three more weeks (until the full price of the bigger unit kicked in, but, by then I was able to successfully moved out all of my items & no longer needed any storage.

Extra Space did a terrific job providing a clean and secure storage space very quickly! I was in the process of moving from another area & estimated the size I would need. The ability to reserve the unit ahead of time was awesome! It turned out after we loaded the truck, I was going to need a larger unit....no problem, Extra Space took care of that & switched to the larger size. They were so friendly, efficient, & really helped me to complete the move. Everything was taken care of quickly & would definitely recommend them!

Visited this location last weekend and it was a great experience! Paul made things very easy for my wife and I when we had our unit reserved online. The unit was the perfect size, very clean location and Paul got us done in great timing. Great customer service from him. Overall, we were both very impressed. I have had storage facilities throughout the country, in most cases multiple units at one location for business purposes. Paul, the manager of this Extra Space storage location is the best. He makes your experience getting the unit you need effortless, he does everything he can possibly do to accommodate your needs and doesn’t make it feel like you are jumping through hoops to have those needs accommodated. The facility is always spotless and well maintained and the grounds are always clear of debris or vehicles from blocking any lanes. I’ve had to call on Paul to assist me if any deliveries have been made to my unit and he never acts as if you are putting him out. I currently have 2 units at that location right now and will be moving my personal storage there too. It is very secure.

I hate the fact this storage place stores their trucks In the shared (small) parking lots with other businesses. You would think they would have the courtesy to allow customers to use the parking spaces and they use their own storage for their equipment. Not a business I want to support

Everything about this business is great! PEOPLE: Kevin and Patrick are both very friendly and so easy to talk to and work with. UNIT: We were shown all the options for the unit size we desired and we were able to choose the one we liked the best. Ours is on the end of the building and has a light. CLEANLINESS: Ive seen some nasty storage facilities around here. The unit is clean and free of debris and pests. The same goes for the grounds...you can see they take pride in having their facility look good all around. SECURITY: They have cameras everywhere and access through their secure gate. This is the first storage place where I see people stop and block the gate after they enter to make sure no one coattails them in. CONVENIENCE: They are extremely close to where we live and where we will be temporarily living, which will make back and forth from that place to our new home easy. PRICE: They are very competitive and we took advantage of their special. We also had a free 1 day use of their truck.When you combine all the features that are important for any storage rental, you cannot find a better place for worry free and safe storage of the stuff that help make up our lives (we wouldnt be storing anything less!).

Roxanne, Paul and Jared were so friendly and understanding. We had the largest unit reserved and needed an additional unit. Paul was on hand and quickly reserved us a unit in the same building as our other unit. Its never easy when dealing with a loved ones estate as there are always complications and unexpected issues to have to quickly deal with. Roxanne, Paul, and Jared were compassionate, caring, and made sure that we had everything we needed to protect all of our precious memories. We inquired about the possibility of downgrading to a smaller size unit in time and they said it would be no problem. Roxanne even mentioned that if we needed we could transfer to their other location on Monroe which would be closer for us.

Quick and easy... Thank you, Paul, for a great storage experience! Clean unit, easy-to-navigate with doors and units that are clearly numbered inside and outside, with large/wide driving areas for vehicles of most sizes. People can park in front of a unit and theres still room for traffic to pass.

Paul was my go to man when I needed to rent a storage space for my daughter. He was so helpful and easy to work with. I was very impressed with how neat and clean everything is there. We feel good about putting her things there until she can find a permanent place.

This is the second time I am renting a unit from this location. There is another storage company closer to my house, however when you care about the items that are being stored, cleanliness and safety must be considered. You will not be disappointed. It’s worth driving a little more.

I waked in over a week ago at one of their Storage facilities last week and met Paul who answered all my questions and showed me the unit and see a reservation.Then almost immediately got text and then email confirmations and directions.Today I went to the Internet and saw the web promotion for the same size storage at the same facility. I reserved that..almost $30 less/month.Then immediately received notification, text and email, of the new reservation.Then I got a call from Paul who welcomed me with the new reservation!I am impressed by the facility, but the staff and communication are awesome.So far I give 5 stars for my experience with this facility and company!Thanks Paul.James

Love this place. Kevin is very easy to get in touch with and easy to work with. They are very accommodating; I have done most communication directly over e-mail. I feel like the actual storage units are well kept and kept clean. We also feel as if our things that are stored are safe. Multiple security features including cameras help us feel reassured. Thanks for all your help guys - even after we move out, wed love to stay here if we had the stuff to put in storage! If we ever move out, we will always come back to this place if the need to store anything again arises.
