We were on our way to purchase a sax for my son at another music store. I called and decided to try Saxophone Center first. I am SO glad I did. The owner was VERY nice and he took out time with us. He gave us his honest opinion. He sold us a BEAUTIFUL sax at a GREAT price. He saved us alot of money. My son is VERY happy and we are as well. THANK YOU again!! We will be back.

First, it’s nice to find a place to buy and service Saxophones in Houston. These small businesses are hard to find and appreciated! As some of the other reviews have stated Danh cares about his customers and wants the best for them- especially if they are kids. Responds well, is fair, and understands what good customer service should be.

It’s the best saxophone shop where they’re willing to work with you and they’ll help you get the best professional saxophone. Danh saved y horn for me and I’m glad I am able to get it and not even about the price but it has great quality as well.

FOR THOSE PURCHASING ONLINE:My experience, wont necessarily happen to you.TL;DR: Dont purchase online.I purchased a YSS-62 Soprano Saxophone from Saxophone center for $2950, it was promised to be in professional playing condition. I was eager to receive the horn, and upon arrival, immediately put a leak light through the horn, and found that multiple pads were leaking, and that some pads were not closing fully because of mechanical issues.I contacted Saxophone Center about the issue, and they replied that Shipping caused the damages, which there was no indication of as there were no sign of trauma to the shipping container, the instrument case, or the instrument itself. To further cement my suspicions, I gained the opinion of a professional saxophonist and 2 technicians from Tims Music Store in Sacramento, CA; they all agreed this was no where near professional condition, or playing condition for that matter. I received a quote for ~$1,600 in needed repairs needed to fix the horn: Replace all the pads that were worn down, Replace worn down cork, fix the mechanical issues including loose key structures throughout the horn.Saxophone center said they would refund me $50, which 1) Would not cover the cost to get the horn into barely playing condition and 2) Would not cover the cost of shipping back. After much discussion, he agreed to refund it fully, HOWEVER, I would have to pay $125 to have it be shipped back and to cover the cost of them shipping it here. I almost agreed to it, however I do not trust the eyes of Saxophone center to say that there are no damages upon return after they had sent me a horn that was in professional-playing condition that has over $1,600 needed in repair.I would not recommend purchasing online as the workmanship, customer service, and overall experience was not good.

His prices are the best Ive found in reeds and of course my sons new sax and trust me Ive been using multiple stores these last 7 years, too bad I didnt find this store sooner. Definitely will be back for any of my music needs.

Danh was a pleasure to work with. He is insistent that price doesnt matter. Now, to most, this sounds like hes trying to sell you expensive horns and not to focus on price, but the horn you like. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. I ended up buying a sax 1000$ below my budget because of all the options, I loved it the most.Truly awesome man to work with who clearly knows what hes doing and has a fantastic collection.

Upon 12/26/2018 I meet Danh at Saxophone Center, it had been reported a potential flood in the Houston area thus he came anyway and his customer service was excellent. He knew what I was looking in a mouthpiece and made sure I was satisfied. Greatest customer service I have seen in a longtime.Ricky MOORE

Few people are as talented in saxophone tech as Danh. I took a Chinese saxophone that no other shop in Houston wanted to work with and he turned it into almost a pro horn, no joke. He is a very nice guy and knows almost everyone in the profesional saxophone business. He is the best technician I’ve met yet. He’s the real deal.

The owner was two hours late to when the store was supposed to open and when there were people waiting, he told them to wait longer as he took one person in as a time and it took forever. He also tried to swindle a young new musician and have the parent pay almost twice for a chinese knock off while knocking the name brand.
