I originally reviewed this company with 1 star (you can read original review below) but since then, I have decided to revise it based on how well it all turned out. Jason was extremely proactive and worked diligently to address the wrong doings and make things right. Jason had new equipment installed where needed and made sure my system was up and running properly. He also reimbursed me for my electric bill that was negatively impacted by one of their worker’s poor decision. While it was a bumpy ride, Jason made sure to right the wrongs and that the customer walked away happy with the end result. I am impressed by how responsive and professional Jason has been. If the installation had all gone smoothly without mishaps, I would have given 5 stars. In conclusion, I would recommend this company and already have.Original review - “I have mixed feelings but what happened today prompted me to write this review! Many of the workers are professional and accommodating and having been working for MANY weeks to get my system fully functional. (What at first thought it was an anomaly or comedy of errors.)For starters, there have been many issues with the camera equipment and they are coming back yet again (have lost count) to replace another one them. One of the technicians stepped on my shoe rack (instead of his ladder) and broke it but he eventually did replace it after I reminded them but the most shocking thing is that on the most recent visit he turned my thermostat down to 69 degrees in the middle of the day which is completely unprofessional! He did this without my knowledge and on top of the fact the Ercot specifically told people to conserve energy and leave thermostats no lower than 78. I did not notice the thermostat was turned down so low until I went upstairs more than 3 hours later. We will see how the company handles this wrongdoing and compensates me for my trouble and no doubt greatly increased electrical bill!!!! As of right now I’m not so satisfied and beyond disappointed.

When outfitting our home in Afton Oaks, we looked at several bids from low voltage companies. There was a lot of variability in the pricing and brands used. Each of the companies we looked at expressed bias one way or another, except for RND, whose quote was also the lowest.I was especially turned off by the dealers and installers who pushed the really expensive brands like Crestron, Control4, and Savant. Those bids were each in excess of $17k and required $100/hr programmers to make any changes at all. On top of that, the remotes looked like technology from the 90s, lacking touch screens and color displays.Blake carefully explained all of the options to us in an unbiased way and emphasized value. I really liked the Sonos system for its iPhone integration and other consumer product offerings. Blake integrated the Sonos in a way that utilized our existing receiver which helped us save even more.We listened to several sets of in-ceiling and in-wall speakers, RND took the time to set these up and audition them with us. Since we installed 12 pairs, we picked some good value drivers throughout the home and some high end drivers for the living areas.RND did a first class job installing these. The units were carefully aligned in the ceiling and balanced with equal distances from our existing can lighting and ceiling fans. This was especially important in our modern home because there isnt any trim or texture to hide a sloppy install.We also wanted the technology hidden out of the way where possible. RND did a great job on this.The wiring was carefully managed and terminated. Im an Engineer by trade and this was important to me.Lastly, the universal remotes that Blake installed and configured were first rate. It had a color touchscreen LCD panel and was much more modern than the Crestron units at a fraction of the cost. Best of all, it was really easy for my wife to use. Blank and the RND team really take the time to make the user experience intuitive. Thank you!

RND installed an incredible $26,000 8 Camera Security System, a Complete Theatre set up, a Surround sound System throughout the house downstairs and up and outdoor speakers about 4 years ago. The Sytem itself has been absolutely fantastic! Any issues I have ever had over the years, even if it’s just something I can’t figure out to do they respond to my calls and send One of their men over promptly. We have worked with RND Technology on multiple occasions over the past 5+ years to have audio visual work done at our home. The AV work that RND performed included the purchase and setup of a duel-zone receiver, installation of surround sound speakers and updating televisions.We have been more than pleased with the above and beyond work and professionalism during our installations. First and foremost, my husband and I are sticklers for timeliness as our schedules do not allow much room for flexibility due to our professional and personal travel schedules. RND accommodated our schedules and arrived at the appointment on time! The installer demonstrated extremely sound technical and professional skills with regard to the work and took extreme care and cleaned up once the job was completed. On multiple visits to upgrade our televisions, the installer also checked to ensure that our surround sound was operating as designed since it has been a few years since the initial installation. We have made several referrals to friends and who needed much more technologically extensive AV work than our work and their feedback has been consistent with our experiences with RND.RND Technology is superior in their services and professionalism! I visited the Fry Road office looking for either a TV or projector set up for my media room. I met with Blake and he explained everything down to the details about the pros and cons of each configuration.I left the office, had a few more communication exchanges that day and a proposal was presented. I accepted the proposal and within 24 hours I was contacted to schedule my set-up appointment.Mike, Derek and the team showed on time and proceeded with the installation. Very good communication during the proces. Media room was setup, tested and key features explained.The guys cleaned everything and took even the empty boxes for disposal.Very professional and excellent communication. To begin I really appreciate the professionalism that was displayed throughout the entire process of building my home theater. When we initial set the appointment we had a gentleman by the name of Blake, to come out and asses the room we wanted to turn into the theater. He was really knowledgeable and helped us come up with a realistic plan, and timeline that the entire project would be complete. Within 24 hours he sent us a quote with detailed pricing “Which was great so my husband and I did not have to worry about any hidden pricing.” On the day that the theater was built Blake, and his team arrived in a marked vehicle with the company logo. We hired RND Technology as they came highly recommended by the previous owners of our house...and their quote was better than Best Buy’s (Magnolia Media). They updated and added various items in our home and they did an outstanding job. The technicians who came out were extremely professional, hard working, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. Not only did they take care of our media room, but they also installed tv’s on wall mounts, set up better WiFi around the house, updated our whole home speaker system to work with our phones, set up and monitors our security/fire system and the list goes on.
