Our garage repairman, Justin, was professional and communicated well. I have been in my home for about 2.5 years and I have been having an ongoing issue with my garage door. Most recently, I contacted the company listed on my homeowner sheet and they charged me $150 for a service call. They supposedly fixed the issue but after a week it was not working correctly once again. They told me that I could either replace the computer board (about $250) and then if that didnt work I would have to replace the whole motor (another $300). I decided to call Sears Garage Solutions...and my biggest regret is that I didnt call them first. Heres why:*The initial service call is free*I was able to get someone out to my house within a few days. The other guys took almost 2 weeks.*The day of my appointment, I got a text with a photo of my technician, his name (Armando), a few things about him (he likes camping & fishing) and his favorite quote. As a female, this immediately put me at ease.*Armando showed up, was friendly, listened and almost instantly knew the issue. He worked on it for about 30 minutes and had a solution. For those that care, the wire inside the wall was pinched during construction. He just had to cut and rewire. So, a new motor and computer board would not have fixed this issue and I would have been out a lot of money and a garage door that wasnt functional.*For the repair I was charged a fair price (well under $100).It has been 2 weeks since I had Armando come out and it continues to work as it is supposed to. I am so happy I contacted them and I honestly wont ever do business with anyone else again!

I received a text message about the time window for the appointment; the technician arrived within the scheduled window; I had received an advance text to let me know he was on his way that included a photo of him. Armando replaced my old garage door keypad, checked to make sure it worked properly (after I set my passcode), and also checked the rollers and added lubricant as needed. I was very satisfied with the service.

Woke to garage door not opening, could see one of the springs was broken. Called Sears garage door scheduling and they initially said it would be tomorrow before they could get someone out, but would put me on the list in case of a cancellation. Almost immediately I heard back from them that someone would be here between 10 and 1 today. Then a call, that technician Jordan Ramirez was on his way......I call that superior customer service. Jordan arrived, very nice and knowledgeable young man, assessed the situation, gave me an estimate, I approved it and the work was done in less than an hour. Im a long time Sears customer and have used their home services many times in the past. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Came next day after storms passed and assessed my needs and offered best solution and price. Due to winter storm in Texas had to wait few days for materials and install but otherwise very courteous and helpful initial visit. Will update how install goes tomorrow but have used Sears for many years in past and no problems at all.

I have a 4 year old house and had issues with my garage last year. They replaced the springs ($800)and it worked fine. So when my garage wouldn’t close and kept saying “obstruction”, I trusted them to come out and fix it. It had never said that before so I doubted it was the springs. The guy came and promptly took payment for replacing the springs again ($700 this time) and it worked for a day. This was over a month ago. They keep telling me they will send someone out to fix it but they wont. The answering service keeps saying “I Will send a message to Eric” but “Eric” has never even attempted to reach out. We left town on nov 25 for thanksgiving and sure enough, our garage wouldn’t shut. That was a Wednesday. The woman there said they would send someone out but they didn’t. We had a text from our neighbor saying that our garage was wide open at 9 PM. they had to enter our home and manually close it. I called again when we returned... again being told my case would be expedited and “Eric” would call me. Has he? NOPE. I’m now calling my credit card company to dispute the charge after many attempts for them to make it right. I will also file a call log and videos with the BBB.

Steve Hall was our service tech. He was amazing! He found coupons for us to keep the rate at low as possible. The rate was very reasonable. Very trustworthy, great service!

First person to show did nothing but provide an estimate for repair of the existing side spring system and then passed it on to others.Second visit was by Armando who suggested a center spring system to replace the 30+ year old side springs. However, he did not have the parts for this repair.Third visit was again by Armando who actually did the repair. Finally, the work was done; I’m still not sure why it took three trips and why there was a handoff, but Armando did good work once he had the right plan and parts.

Called today, fixed today. Promt, courteous service, quality parts and installation. Replaced old school stretch type springs with new torsion spring and drums at a very fair price. Door opens level and quietly. Took only 45 minutes. Very happy.

But I’ve now had the Craftsman garage door opener installed in each of my last three homes, and it’s worth the money. Nearly silent, reliable, battery backup, WiFi enabled, with exterior keypads for each opener (one for each garage bay). Get one or two and you’ll never be satisfied with any other.Armando and his assistant were very efficient and knowledgeable about the product. My wife and I are actually excited to get this done.
