Never disappoints, TG will always have a special place in my heart! In the heart of home and my neighborhood! The vegan options are always great and the welcoming feeling is always there. And the staff, as always, you guys are great.

Id give this place 5 stars, because the drip coffee was excellent, but gave this place 4 stars because of the value. I got the larger 16oz. coffee and it was almost $5. Is this how much coffee costs now? The 12 was 3.00 so if think the next size up would be like 3.50 or so. Maybe Im disconnected because I make coffee at home. Either way I asked what kind and it was Columbian coffee and it tastes wonderful. I wont come here often but I now know a great cup in the area when I want to get out of the house.

Always a go-to spot for me. Coffee is great and everyone is friendly. I love the spacious covered outdoor seating area. It’s perfect for getting work done, and I always have my dog with me when I go! There’s a small private lot, so parking is usually easy (maybe not on the weekends when it’s busier). There’s also a taco truck if you get hungry.

The barista skill level has gone down a bit, but it’s a LOVELY spot with GREAT tacos at the truck outside.Donuts inside are from Morningside (aka super yummy) and there’s a TON of space to work or chill for a while.Also, they started selling beer recently so if your morning turns into afternoon then you don’t have to leave!

That’s a silky wet Cap?? If the barista wasn’t so rushy and unfriendly I would have given a chance to prepare me another one. This is absolutely insane. Never coming back again.

It is such a cozy, sweet and open cafe which serves so delicious soft taco and etc...for breakfast . Good capuchino is also super... The owner is very kind and polite...I love to feel the breeze air while I am enjoying my brunch.

Friendly and welcoming barista service and good espresso beans, if perhaps a bit on the mild side for my taste, but still a yummy cup. The two seating areas are my kind of eclectic and the outdoor seating areas an added plus.

What a hidden gem. So close to my house but only recently found it. The coffee is wonderful and robust. The Good Morning is heavenly. I thought it might be too sweet with the caramel and vanilla, but the flavor is perfectly balanced— not too sweet, packed with caffeine, and delicious. I even got some to-go in a half gallon. Not to mention the outdoor space and awesome taco truck on site! The brisket breakfast taco was so good. My new favorite coffee shop in the Heights.

Great coffee coupled with a nice, inviting environment. The coffee menu is delightful and creative. My favorite thing about this shop is there’s an area to socialize, both inside and out, and a little nook in the front of the shop that’s as quiet as a library if you prefer to work/ study in silence. The outdoor space is full of picnic tables and there’s even a play area for furry friends. Plenty of parking, as well.

This coffee shop in the heights is bare bones in a good way. The coffee is simple and to the point. If youre looking for specialty drinks then this isnt it. But Id your looking for traditionally coffee made work skill then youll like this.

Great place that Is out of the way of some of the other coffee shops in the area. But definitely worth it. One of the friendlier staffs, big open seating, and great outdoor seating. Which I would have taken full advantage of if it wasnt so hot. Definitely recommend this place.

The name says it all. Changing lives throughgood coffee. And tea. And pastries. Really beautiful build out. Phenomenal owners. Top shelf staff who really knows their stuff. Not a bad seat in the house.

The coffee: The cortado here was rich, a bit chocolatey, and hit with some higher notes. It was a little bit bready, but I enjoyed the roasted flavor. Its always very creamy as well. It isnt my favorite, but I definitely like it. There were definitely points for presentation.The staff: Very friendly and talkative. My experience has been better every time I come here. They greeted me when I got there, and offered a small, complimentary cookie to go with my drink.The shop: The building itself is comfortable, but there is also ample outdoor seating which has a nice vibe. There are a decent amount of tables and outlets, but the arrangement makes it kind of hard to sit at the bar when its crowded.The bottom line: I wouldnt say this was the best coffee Ive had, but it gets five stars for the overall experience! I will definitely be coming back to hang out and relax with friends.

Cozy coffee bar with a very down to earth and “local” vibe. Serves the classic high quality espresso drinks, as well as a few originals.Traveled out of my way to try it, and had zero regrets. Would definitely go again next time I’m in town!

GOOD.Order: Honey Spice Latte (hot, sub oat milk) and a Blueberry Lemon cake donut.My husband wanted to take me for coffee before I left for work and he chose Thoroughgood as one of (his) Top 3 shops.Simple and quiet feeling, the scene was set with 7:30 AM sunlight streaming in on a space that felt clean and bright, but not with any sharp sterility.The menu is pleasant and understated, giving just enough options for the indecisive (but picky) mind.I ordered a hot Honey Spice Latte, sub oat milk, and a vegan Blueberry Lemon cake donut.I didnt try it until my husband and I parted ways and I was headed down the highway. I called him with my report that this was some of the best coffee Id had with balanced flavor, no hint of sourness to the espresso, and hosted in perfectly steamed (oat) milk with its gentle creaminess. The donut was a nice bouncy cake texture, flavored to compliment the sunlight and spring breeze.Made my morning :)

Enjoyed the latte. The staffers were courteous and I was served quickly. They have a nice selection of appealing baked goods (I bought a pumpkin cream cheese loaf slice to go), and there is a taco truck in the parking lot. There also is outdoor seating and a little dog-walking area.

Have been here a few times, and each and every cup of coffee Ive had here is extremely delicious. This is one of those craft coffee/ hipster joints where you end up spending a bit more for coffee - but you get a better barista experience and you can tell they arent pumping out cup after cup without thinking about it. The customers and the baristas love coffee and are all about sharing that love and excitement with the customer.

Ive made it my Tuesday morning routine to come here after tacos and it really starts my day off right. Its not very far from where I live, and its incredibly relaxing to enjoy really great coffee in a shop thats incredibly quite and nearly empty, while the sun creeps up behind the trees. Ive had a latte, expresso shot, and cold brew, and have not been disappointed in any way. Definitely will continue coming up here every week.

I feel like Im giving away too many 5 Star reviews on my account, but this place deserves it! The service was extremely friendly. No hostile or weird attitude; just welcoming and friendly at the cash register. Their spiced carrot loaf is delicious! The cappuccino was really good as well. You can tell their drinks are crafted with care here. The interior design is both cozy and brilliantly designed. I will make it a point to drive back here despite the fact that its far from me because of the friendly service and really cozy interior space.

I love visiting coffee shops. I like to people watch and clear my mind. Theres something about coffee that calms me in the mornings. If Im tired or need a pick me up, coffee energizes me. I love to walk in a building and smell the aroma of coffee in the air. I had a chance to go and sit down at throughgood coffee and relax for a bit. The coffee shop sits on 732 W. 27th in the Houston Heights. Its closer to north Shepherd. Pastor Rudy Rasmus who pastors at St. Johns Church in downtown Houston, along with his wife, opened the neighborhood friendly coffee shop a few months ago. Youll find a message on the website that reads: Changing Lives Through-Good Coffee. One of the coolest parts of visiting the shop was the Vinyl Record Player sitting on the counter! The staff welcomed me as soon as I walked in the door. The barista welcomed my questions about the coffee, the shop and the area. @throughgoodc partners with other local businesses like Morning Stars Donuts. The coffee shop offers a great patio area and is pet friendly. The parking area is large enough, so I dont believe there would be problems with parking. I received good vibes all around and of course my coffee and powdered cake donut was good too! If you want to try a new coffee shop or need a place for a quick business meeting head over to Throughgood coffee and let me know how you like it.

Best coffee shop in Houston. All of their coffee products are superb from their drip and nitro coffee to espresso beverages and house made syrups. The taco truck out front is phenomenal and all the baked goods I’ve tried are tasty and satisfying.

Throughgood is one of my favorite coffee shops beacuse Rudy and his team consistently make great espresso coffee drinks. This shop has always had a warm inviting feel to it. The partnership with Soul Taco and their on site taco truck food service means there is great food as well.

The owner over heard me say it was my birthday and offered me a free donut. First time I had a vegan 🍩, and it was really good.Great place to get some work done or just hangout with a couple of friends. If I lived closer I would make it one of my top five coffee shops to frequent. Will definitely visit again.

Very cute ambiance and a great place for conversation. Service is wonderful. Tried the vegan taco from the taco truck outside and it was okay, runny beans mostly but still good. They were out of chai latte which was disappointing. Instead I ordered The Good Morning with oat milk which was delicious.

I was so full. I had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here. The prices are well within reason for the quality. Menu is similar to a restaurant in Jacksonville I liked.

I was expecting so much more from this place with all the amazing reviews, My boyfriend and I don’t drink dairy milk so we ordered soy lattes... It tasted like water, I went over and asked and they told me it was the milk they used “Silk”.. They were nice enough to exchange it for an almond milk latter but I couldn’t stomach to finish it, It was the same watery taste.

They support organizations that help homeless causes. They need to display that more in their coffee shop, and not just a sidenote on their website ! The coffee was excellent, and I loved the expansive outdoor patio. There was an enclosure for people to bring their dogs also.

But no inside seating still!! As with most coffee shops . Your loosing customers and $ .look around, restaurants are opening and thriving . I’m buying coffe now where I can walk in and sit down like CAVO coffee near rice village on Bissonnet. I used to come in pre”pandemic” and enjoyed the decafe latte. But in general coffee shops are just autistic here in Houston. Not to be degrading to autism at all. Just using it to describe the majority of coffee shops in Houston.

If you’re thinking about supporting small businesses and or supporting black owned small businesses, then come to ThroughGood. Located NW of Houston, 610E. Since it was first time, I asked for what’s recommended. 10/10 recommend for sure what Abby recommended me. Just ask for cold brew with oats and vanilla, cold and call it a day. (:Simple and sophisticated. Cheap and charming!

What a relief to find an actual coffee shop in this town! I had tried 10 different places before I found this place so I was beginning to lose hope. Great for grab and go coffee with plenty of outdoor seating, due to covid there is no indoor seating right now, but they also offer quick bites outdoors. Parking is pretty limited, but since I just ran in and out I just parked on the side.

My girlfriend and I have been here a few times and its always a great experience. The staff is really everything you want from a coffee shop: affable, knowledgeable and extremely inviting. Theyre always great when I ask questions about their thoughts or recommendations and this place has a great vibe as well as aesthetic. Its also dog friendly which is a great bonus plus they have some tasty treats and food options.

Service is always really friendly. Good breakfast foods and regular coffee has one free refill. All in all a good deal. Uniquely crafted espresso drinks make for a fun drinks to try out. Seating is plentiful outside, somewhat limited inside. Dog friendly outside.

Secluded coffee shop in Houston. When I was getting close to the place I could hardly imagine a good coffee shop in the area but when I arrived I found a well thought out shop with a warm welcoming vibe. There were two baristas behind the counter that knew what they were doing. They made my wife and I a couple of really great drinks that I could sip while I got some work done on my computer. They also sell tacos and baked goods on the side if you need a snack. I would definitely consider stopping again while in the area.
