Once I arrived to the lot I was greeted by Her and without wasting time, I completed my test drive. The process was really smooth and easy! Sales person AMAZING! Process in buying the car, EASY. Full disclosure of vehicles past, QUESTIONABLE. I’ll explain, I inquired as if this vehicle had been in any accidents, answer none recorded. The answer really should of been, YES, minor left rear bumper and quarter panel collision with no structural damage. I know this from my 30+ years as an automotive expert. But overall I’m truly satisfied. They had done a good job repairing it or hiding it which way one looks at it.

After several grueling weeks of dealing with dealerships it was a pleasure to work with Avis. Claudia was extremely helpful in helping me get into my new truck.Dealerships have high pressure sales and ridiculous extra fees that only show up when you are about to sign, which can add thousands onto the sticker price of the vehicle. None of that here. What is on the sticker is what it costs, saving you from the negotiating process and questions of “what is this $1500 line item?”Here at Avis it was sticker price+ state taxes, title, and registration + minimal document fee. That’s it!!When I arrived Claudia came out and greeted us, I told her I was interested in the vehicle, she promptly got the keys and I took it on a test drive. After the test drive I told her I would like to see the numbers, she told me she would need some time to get them together and finish working with another customer; but to go and take the truck out again and grab a bite to eat. It’s a great truck that has low miles and was very competitively priced.Initially I had financing through my own bank, but she was able to get me a better rate than they could. I am extremely happy with my purchase and if I am ever in need of a car again I will definitely know where to go first. Definitely go see Claudia and the great people at Avis!!!

They must be awfully busy, because they answer by hanging up without so much as a greeting or hold please.Im a serious buyer and attempted calling this place several times over the last few days. And I love that the pricing is competitive and hassle-free. But the fact that Im highly motivated means absolutely nothing if I cant get the test drive – or even the courtesy of a callback or proper follow-up after completing the web form.I guess (without the incentive of opportunistic used-car sales) this place is not eager to sell a vehicle that has already been on their lot for a significant amount of time.#StuckatHomePlate

After a terrible experience at a nearby dealership I went to Avis on Gulf freeway. I was greeted by Claudia. She was calm, personable and very refreshing. I asked to see a certain vehicle. She obliged. No pressure, no haggling. I walked away a happy customer. She listened to me every step of the way.

I bought my car at the end of February. At the time of this review(May 12), I have not received a followup of any kind of my license plates, nor have I been issued temporary plates. They may offer fair prices, but the hassle and headache this place will give you after you buy your car will make you wish you bought it from somewhere.Update: It has occurred to me that the dealership has replied. Dont give into their snarky BS. I called the number they provided about a week after my plates expired, and the person on the line did nothing except just lead me to the email. Just more confusion and more forks in the road. The email did do something, but it provided me with the insight that they got the wrong info! I live in Brazoria County, and they processed my information in the Harris County system. I have to wait another 5-10 weeks, and I know that SOMEHOW this process will be screwed up again.in conclusion: D O N O T B U Y F R O M H E R E

My husband purchased a car TODAY for my son; went back to pick it up after I got off from work. First, my husband was told that there would be a bulb replacement this am when he was at the dealership and that everything would be ready when we got back for pickup at 5. However, that didnt happen and we waited until well after 6. When I FINALLY drove off the lot I noticed that they didnt even FILL the gas tank up!!! If I could have made a U-turn on the feeder road I would have. Who buys a new car and the dealership dont provide gas...I AM HOTT!!!

It was pretty straight forward. It took as long as I expected. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Bought a car in early December. It’s middle of June and I still don’t have my license plates. I called the office in April and was told the plates are coming directly to me from the government but due to Covid, they are behind. Just found out today, AVIS didn’t even submit my paperwork until May - 5 months after I bought the vehicle!!! They are taking zero responsibility and have no good excuse why it’s taken this long. Never again will I buy from them.

I would give this place ZERO starts if I was able to. They ran my husbands credit WITHOUT consent. They were suppose to call me BEFORE processing with my husbands credit since mine didn’t get approved. They have lack of communication and not professional whatsoever. I wouldn’t recommend this place and if you do decide to try them out DO NOT do business with CLAUDIA!!!!!

Bought a car and paid in full in Dec 2020. Have been waiting for around 3 months and no tag or plate. Called and emailed many times and they just told us to wait.Called DMV recently and was told by DMV that there wasnt any application regarding our purchase at all. We were advised by DMV to file Dealer complaint. We are still wafting for the tag and plate, horrible service.

Bought a used car great service

Purchased a vehicle back in January. Havent received license plates. I am actually driving with expired paper tags. Have called several times was told to wait. Yesterday I was told will get my license plates sometime next week. So I am stuck with driving with expired tags . The tags expired 03/10/23 today is 03/13/21

Bought a vehicle here in mid January. The dealership told me they will take care of the title and taxes for being a buyer from Louisiana. Then weeks later i get a certified mail with the title improperly filled out and in turn I cant get a license plate.... I been trying to contact the dealership for a month and a half now. No returned emails. No call backs. Nothing.Update: I physically went to the dealership (I live 6 hrs away) in mid April to ask the manager to help. He apologized for the inconvenience and sent the title back to the titles department in a different state. He told me it will be over nighted there and i would receive it in 3 days. I dont have the title still and its the end of May. Ive called and the manager said Avis will reimburse me for the fees I am accumulating. I do not understand why there isnt anyone on site that can do titles. This is taking an unnecessary amount of time.

Bought a car December 8th, took them a month to even open up the loan details from my bank, they filled out the paper work incorrectly and bank refused, they had to redo the work which then took another month because they seem not able to do anything in a timely manner, Manager said they would overnight the documents to me to sign, they didnt we had to call again which too a week, then got them, sent them back, they sent it in, again refused due to errors on the paper work, its not March 8th and still not complete and I have no tags, no registration no plates and cant drive the car due to their incompetence and when I try calling I get told the manager is busy and will call me back and yet to be called back or I get busy signal constantly.4 MONTHS and nothing! cant even drive the car legit because of this BS.. Cant get ahold of anyone over there to talk to or do anything.

They sold me a garbage package called Dent Wizard that literally covers nothing.Dishonest people must be held accountable and I wonder why these scam artists are left with no consequences!

My husband and I drove all the way from Alabama to Houston South Avis location on Gulf Hwy after a bad experience with the Pompano Beach, FL location. We returned the vehicle purchased in FL and purchased another vehicle at this location.From the moment we arrived, they were there to make things right.They took their time and showed us several cars. We test drove a few of them. They detailed and had waiting for us the 2 vehicles I was interested in online.Kevin, Morgan and the GM went above and beyond to assist us. We found the perfect vehicle for us! They applied my husbands work discount and we actually got a much better and nicer vehicle for less money.This location disclosed all fees ahead of time. They have less fees than the Pompano location; made sure all paperwork was properly prepared and processed. They made the transaction easy.They were upfront and forthcoming about the condition of the vehicle, etc. They went over the car with us visually to ensure we were satisfied. The detail/wash they did on the car was very nice. The leather, etc. In good shape.The vehicle only had one key. They have ordered another key fob for us and are going to pay for the key to be programmed at a dealership for us in Alabama. This was very nice because it is very important to me to have a second key.The process was smooth and we are very happy with our purchase.We will refer them to our friends and family.

The day of sale was ok service but since then it has been the worst. Its been 3 months and they still have not paid the bank for the car I traded in! Ive been keeping up with the payment so my credit isnt hit but that means paying for a car I dont own! I have called Avis more than 5 times and get the run around each time and am told I will get a call back but never do. They wont admit the error and what they are doing is illegal. Still waiting...

I bought a Kia Sorrento 2020, the first ine i kiik at had dirty seats. So I chose another that had brand new seats.So today i go and puck it up they switch out the seats .I didnt want the extra detail package for 499. I am so yUp set Im taking it back tomorrow. I am really upset.
