I had an amazing experience at RMS Auto! Not only did they advocate with my insurance company to get more coverage, they also went above and beyond to locate new parts before a long-distance move. Sadie is absolutely wonderful to work with, and the work itself on the car was impeccable. I drive a recent model Volvo and am very picky about service. I recommend RMS to anyone looking for quality, professionalism and excellent customer care!

This is a very community-oriented business with the legacy, diligence and spirit of 40 years in our neighborhood..Whitney,others are inclusive listeners,kind patience and model the gold Standard with their coupons for oil changes which includes a 30-point check on your car and no obligations or pressure to have the work done there.. The owner is very accessible. I took two cars in today and a third, will be using the services of RMS which go by above and beyond. Ive been to RMS auto for an oil change before and so when I needed some collision repair done, I contacted RMS and they were able to give me an estimate the same day I called. The person who helped me the most was Sade, she was so easy to work with and always answered all my questions quickly. Sade was able to help walk me through the insurance claim process and arranged for the geico adjuster to meet at the shop to get the quote expedited. She was also helpful with getting me a free ride to get my rental car and they even set up the rental car return when I picked up my vehicle. Im super happy with the service at RMS and their repairs come with a lifetime warranty. Ill will absolutely recommend this place to my friends and family, especially since Sade had the best customer service!

Starter installed. Car would not start- I called RMS AUTO CARE & Chris checked the battery & alternator but determined problem to be the starter. Ordered starter on Friday & RMS called me Saturday to advise me that the part arrived. Appointment set for 7:00 AM Monday. RMS replaced starter, checked squeaking noise in steering column & checked brakes. Changed oil & finished work by 1:30 PM. EXCELLENT WORK! Polite, courteous & knowledgeable team provide timely updates to customers. RMS is well staffed with all team members committed to providing terrific customer service experiences. RMS realizes that people need their vehicles & I rely on them to keep my car running perfectly.

I received an add in the mail. Was actually pretty excited about getting a road trip inspection done but had no idea that they closed at 4 o’clock on a Saturday which should be the busiest day. Definitely understand understaffing but I would think that on a Saturday you would be open a little bit later. Unfortunately I have to go somewhere else.

I promised I’d leave an honest review pending the outcome of getting my car back. RMS had my car for a month. It ended up needed an ENTIRE new engine. I have been screwed so many times by car places and decided to make the drive to RMS because my dad has been going there for like 20 years.I am so glad I came here- it was a long process but they promised they’d keep me safe once back on the road. Whitney was exceptional, was extremely knowledgeable and informative each time I called and drove them nuts wanting updates. She never seemed irritated and I am very aware I was being annoying calling every day. Nick worked on my car (maybe other technicians too, but I met Nick specifically), super nice and explained each thing to us.They worked hard to make sure my warranty covered all the problems, and I know it was no easy task dealing with the warranty company. Very grateful for these folks, and my car hasn’t blown up yet since I got it back…so I trust them. :o)

My vehicle started pulling to the left and getting a vibration at higher speeds. Ive used RMS before without issues so I figured this would be no issue for them. Asked over the phone about the price of an alignment and tire balance. The lady on the phone told me 50 Dollars plus tax. So I dropped the vehicle off for repairs.I returned about 6 hours later when it was ready. The price was now just over 100 Dollars. I asked if anything was noted as to why it was vibrating but the officer attendant just shrugged at me. My bill is over twice of what I was quoted and ask why. The two people in the office swear no quote of 50 would ever have been stated on the phone and I must have talked to someone else. I need my car back so I pay the bill. The office attendant then lazily suggests I can maybe get you a partial refund by check as a poor attempt to make amends.The best part is they ripped the pedal covers off and didnt replace them. They were torn so I need to glue them to repair them. Awesome. The vehicle still pulls to the side and the vibration still persists. I basically shelled out 100 bucks for nothing.

This was by far the best experience I’ve had with a major auto repair.Cory my technician, Whitney the service advisor, and Megan at the office, and the whole team did a great job making me understand the whole process, they have fair prices, and obviously proud of their work since they have such a good warranty. It was well worth the drive across town for me from Pasadena into Houston. This will definitely be my service place of choice for my car from now on. And, I’ve already recommended it to family and friends.I had first tried to get this covered under warranty at the dealer, but they wanted outrageous prices despite the same issue being repaired just over a year ago so it was out of that warranty.So, I’m glad I was referred to RMS by Cory. Thanks for the great work!My AC is cold now! Prepared for the upcoming heat.

When I accidentally pulled the side mirror off of my jeep, Sady had me fixed up in no time flat. She personally buffed out the scratch marks on the side of the door and had the mirror reinstalled perfectly. Even though the mirror was back ordered expected to take two weeks, she had it done in a week. Which was perfect because we were on vacation. Great job! Great prices!

Extremely professional and very prompt with their works! My parked car was recently hit last Thursday 01/07/2021 (Damages to bumper, fender, and passenger side headlight) and I went to RMS for a quote, Sady was able to give me an accurate estimate on the same day. I returned the following day (Friday) 01/08/2021 with my car for repairs because the person who hit me wanted to pay out of pockets. Sady coordinated everything between the at fault party and myself and gave me updates very promptly. I picked up my car today 01/12/2021 and it looked brand new! It took the shop approximately 3 working days before I got my car back, I highly recommend RMS for their timely works and professional manners.

Originally they’d send all quotes with pictures and evidence behind everything they needed to work on. Now they’re lazy and only send quotes with text such as “needs AC replaced” and no pictures. Please send pictures and better explanations on your work. Work has been alright. We’ve had to go back several times to fix items they messed up that were covered under warranty.

Great service! I dropped off my Elantra Thursday morning for a really bad creak coming from the struts, and had it back Saturday afternoon. The noise is completely gone and everythings running way smoother than when I brought it in. Friendly staff and convenient location. Would definitely recommend RMS to anyone.

RMS had to replace the A/C fan assembly. They got the replacement assembly installed and replaced fluids as necessary all performed the same day! In by 10 am and out by 5pm. Excellent service. Friendly service managers.

Water pump went out on Saturday afternoon in middle of Galleria area traffic on Westheimer Rd. Towed into RMS and Chris accepted the vehicle right before closing. Informed me that I would be contacted Monday and followed through. Informed me of the problem and also did a check for other maintenance as it is a 13 year vehicle. All repairs were completed by Tuesday noon. First time to use RMS and satisfied with service, especially the warranty.

This is the 3rd time I’ve had my vehicle serviced here. They are not the cheapest shop around; however, the feeling knowing that you are getting honest, quality service is worth not paying the cheapest price in my opinion. Whitney is knowledgeable about the recommended service and has taken the time to talk through various repairs and the relative urgency of each. Whitney can give a TED Talk on being a service advisor (how to balance being professional with being personable). I like especially how they use everything from the camera on a smart phone, easy to read graphs and itemization, and even text message to make sure I understand everything! Most important, I love that they love their community and are always looking for ways to give back!Yes, I highly recommend RMS because the sign says Auto Care but they also do really good job of taking care of people too!

Honestly, I wouldnt come here again just for the fact theyll do anything to take advantage of someone for just a quick buck.My husband came here due to the fact we needed to get our tire off to change the brake pads because the lug nut was damaged and couldnt be taken off.They told us they would try to save the tire completely and if they could it would be around $160 and if they couldnt save the tire it would be $270.Well, they saved the tire but still charged us $270 and stated that WE destroyed the tire even though the tire was perfectly fine and safe to drive on.They didnt change the tire, but claimed that we destroyed it.

RMS is incredibly thorough -- if you value efficacy and quality car work that saves valuable time from the run-around you might face from a patch up job.Story is I had a slight noise coming from my auto. Get to RMS not expecting much but a huge bill, and they sure were diligent to try and identify it. They took me around for a drive twice - painstakingly replicating the circumstances when the noise first occurred: early morning and going down a slope in reverse. They tried a couple days and profusely explained what more they could check, but mutually dismissing the issue, they sent me home with a free tail light and zero service charge! And the value added of some good travel conversation.Next time we had an issue we got photo documentation and text alerts. Prices may match the quality of service but my guess is, that they still come into the upper-mid range. They give good honest disclosure on whats needed and whats worth breaking out the old piggy bank. Free Lyft to and from the place.Dont expect a dealership vibe - it presents innocuously from the inside and out. The surrounding neighborhood has the best cafes in town. The cherry on top is you can grab a coffee in just about the only walkable area with character in Houston -- old Montrose.

Got my alternator replaced and redeemed a free 40 point inspection coupon as I was nearing 100k miles on my Chevy Malibu. Chris worked with me throughout the entire process. I dropped my car off shortly after 7am on a Tuesday. I got a call back around 9am with a bunch of recommendations. I ended up going with just an alternator change, but they let me know my spark plugs were overdue (change every 60k, I was at 97k already), my fuel injectors need to be cleaned, air filters need to be replaced, and that my throttle body was dirty. Quoted just over $1400 for all the services. I went with just alternator change for $715. Not cheap but I knew I was in good hands, and really thats mostly what I was paying for. Gave them the go ahead for just alternator and got a call maybe 4 hours later that my car was ready for pickup. Super respectful and helpful people. Chris listened to all the symptoms I had seen with my car and didnt dismiss what I had to say (as a woman, this is very important to me!). I didnt feel preyed upon whatsoever. Highly recommend RMS.

My car broke down near my home at sunset. After speaking to three neighbors who stopped to help, all recommended RMS so my car was towed to RMS. By 9:00 am the next morning, I received a call from RMS- car needed an alternator & battery. RMS installed the new alternator at a very fair price. My existing battery was under warranty from a different shop but Chris at RMS said he would take care of the old battery’s warranty for me. RMS installed a new battery at no charge. I appreciated his professionalism & problem solving abilities In repairing my car.I will be taking my car back to RMS forever. The shop is well staffed with accredited mechanics & I was treated respectfully. Chris was knowledgeable, kind & found the best pricing to meet my budget. A great shop!

Went in for an AC issue. $469 dollars later left with a flushed radiator and thermostat that had zero to do with AC issue. However, for an additional $800 they could replace the AC condenser which was leaking, and should have been dealt with to begin with. Instead we were bilked in to paying $469 for their misdiagnosis (and to their benefit). We will never again do service with this company. I would highly recommend that you consider other options and shop around. We used them for years previously without issues but over the past year their pricing and practices have become outrageous and suspect.

I took my business vehicle to RMS Auto Care to have the complete BG fluid services done. I heard about RMS on the Texas Car Doctor radio program. With having (5) fluid systems flushed & changed, I knew would take several hours. I dropped off my vehicle & a friend came to pick me up. Chris @ RMS called me later the same day earlier than promised to tell me my vehicle was ready to go! I told Chris that it would be a while for me to get a ride back to the shop. Chris said “no worries”, I will arrange for Lyft to come pick you up. I said, what will that cost? & he said “$0”, This is a free service to our customers.” I arrived back at RMS via their Lyft service, they present my bill to me & its $150 lower than the original quote. I told them, I appreciated the discount & they said they wanted to help me out because of the work that our Non-Profit business does. I am fully satisfied with the quality of service not only that my vehicle received, but the Total Customer Service that RMS provided. RMS Auto Care delivered Certified Technicians that performed EXCELLENT work on my vehicle, & Superb Customer Service. RMS provides a Superior Total Customer Experience.

Fair prices. In addition to the scheduled work, they were able to identify and fix an additional problem through their general inspection of the vehicle which was greatly appreciated. I was referred to RMS by another shop that does not perform the type of diagnostic work I needed for my vehicle.

I go to RMS as they are a reputable auto shop and they do good work. I’m a car guy that works less and less on my car each year as they require more specialized tools that I don’t have a shop for. I do inspect their work each time I get my car back and so far I’ve found all the nuts, bolts and fasteners back on the car like they should be unlike experiences I’ve had elsewhere. The drawback is that they charge a premium. If you walk in expecting to spend $50, don’t be surprised when you end up paying $500. They tell you up front, so I haven’t had any surprise billings or been charged for something I didn’t approve. You get what you pay for though. I’ve been to other shops that charge a premium and found fasteners missing or performed poor alignments. I haven’t had these issues with RMS.

I love this local community auto shop. They have always been able to squeeze me in and send great promotions to my mailbox. On top of that they are kind on the phone and in person while I wait. Im lucky enough to be able to walk home if my car had to stay overnight but they have a complimentary shuttle if you live a little farther away.

Im an MD Anderson patient, and was traveling from Louisiana for appointments.  Prior to making the trek, I had my vehicle serviced and a brake job on all wheels. As I returned to my hotel from my first days worth of appointments, my brake light came on. I called my local mechanic who assured me it was likely nothing of an emergent nature, and could wait until we returned home.This didnt sit right with me, so I searched brake shops in Houston based on recommendations (Yelp) and came across RMS. They were right - the ladies were amazing! (Sorry, I forgot both of their names and dont have a card.) Being a single woman (only traveling with my little sister) - its often uncomfortable calling/visiting mechanic shops. But, being able to speak to ladies made me feel so much more comfortable. Additionally, they were so personable and professional.En route to them, I got turned around on the loop and stuck in rush hour traffic, delaying me quite a bit. Then, my brakes totally failed(!) so I had to pull over somewhere. All during this process - over the course of several hours - I stayed in contact with the ladies and they were so helpful and reassuring! When I called around 5p, I was 1.1mi away from their shop with zero brake fluid and no functionality. They reminded me that they have extended hours (til 6p) and she was so sweet that she would wait until [I] get [there] and line up transportation back to the hotel for me.By the grace of God, my brakes gave out across the street from an inspection and lube place (Mobile 1 Lube Express @ 2107 Richmond Avenue) with another kindred spirit (owner/operator Frank Markantonis) who was gracious enough to make the repair for me at no cost. Nonetheless, I have to say that I was taken aback by the caring and compassionate nature of the employees at both businesses. Im from such a small, rural community, that we dont tend to expect these same morals and values in a big city like Houston, but it was such a pleasant surprise. If their customer service is indicative of their technical services provided, I would recommend them every day all day! I pray that God blesses both businesses and its employees! 🖤

I have been a RMS customer since at least the 1990s and possibly longer. When my car is under warranty I use the dealership’s service department but RMS when the warranty expires. I keep cars a long time so over the life of my car most of it’s service is from RMS. In the most recent service need my car’s battery was on its last leg. I dropped the car off late on a Monday and said I needed it back by 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Service Advisor Whitney was spot on calling me promptly on Tuesday to tell me my car was ready. I trust and recommend RMS.

I have had nothing but amazing experiences here at RMS Auto. And that is being said after just moving here in January 2021 with having to bring my car in twice since then.My first interaction with this company was bringing my 2005 Honda Accord in to replace the brakes/brake pads. I remember dropping my car off around 9:30am and by 3:00pm the same day, they had changed out all 4 brakes and replaced all the old brake fluid before I even got off work. Whitney overlooked this for me and her and the team here were truly professional and I could not recommend them more.My second experience was a little different as I had some front bumper and fender damage from a small collision, but Sady Cardenas was absolutely terrific in assisting me through the entire process of getting these repairs done. She not only went out of her way to help reach out to my insurance on my behalf, but also was incredible in keeping me updated with the status of my vehicle throughout the whole process. She is also extremely knowledgeable about her job and seems to put the time into caring for her customers and making them feel extremely comfortable. And needless to say, the work they did was so professional and efficient, that as long as I live in Houston, RMS Auto will be the place I go to and recommend to anyone else.

The people were very nice; however, I was not impressed with thier timeliness and so I will not be going back. I had an appointment (four days in advance) to have my tire and oil changed and it took 5 hours. Maybe if i had not had an appointment i would be more understanding, but as someone who uses thier car a lot and has places to be this was irritating. I do apreciate however the attentivness of the mechanics and staff though, and again they seemed like nice people.

RMS was recommended to me by my girlfriend who has received great service from them in the past. I had been going to the same mechanic for the past decade and felt it was time for a change.After delaying the maintenance for 6 months because of Covid I decided to go ahead and get it done as everything slowly opens up.Chris handled my car well from the moment I dropped off my keys to when I picked them back up.A couple hours (2-2.5) after dropping off my car RMS completed the 40pt inspection and provided (via email and sms) a very detailed quote for all the work that would be needed. The quote itself was color coded by urgency of repair with a breakdown of cost of parts and cost of labor. Shortly after receiving the quote Chris called me to go over it and discuss which repairs I would like to pursue at this time. You can also select the work youd like done from the emailed quote if you prefer.After selecting the work to be done, I was provided an email confirmation with the total scope of work and final price.Chris provided an accurate expectation for when the work would be complete and I could pick up my vehicle.Overall I was very pleased with the work done and cost of the repairs (they came in considerably cheaper than my old mechanic). The level of professionalism was reassuring and the pricing was reasonable. I will definitely be going back to them to service my vehicle in future.

I needed some body panel repairs after a minor collision, and RMS fixed my car up looking just as good as new. I couldnt even find evidence of the body panel damage afterwards. They did take a few more days than initially estimated but it was well worth the wait. Whats more, there was a mix up between myself, RMS, and my insurance regarding where the insurance payments were going and they accidentally overcharged me. However, as soon as we realized the mix-up they immediately got in contact with me and paid me back the difference the same day. So from my experience you can trust them to be honest with their charges. If you go there for body work make sure to ask for Sady. She assessed the damage and very quickly gave me a pretty accurate estimate of the cost, and she stayed in contact with me while the vehicle was being repaired to give me updates.

Service here was excellent. I brought my Mercedes in because there was some metallic sounding clickety clanking when I turned to the right. I was so scared it was gonna be a very pricey services. I took it in around 1 and by the end of the day, they called me and told me they found my tire sensor rolling around. It only cost me $30. I was so happy they were honest, they could have easily tricked me out of $1000. I definitely will be coming back if I need anything done on my car. Everyone was very friendly and I even asked about my cars air conditioner fan that is blowing slowly. The man at the front desk helped me figure out what the issue was. I have asked 3 different mechanics and they would not even give me answer for under $60bucks. So I will bring my car here from now on period.

I needed a sweeping maintenance check for my 12-year old Chevy Malibu, so I was happy to see that RMS was running a special on a 40-point inspection. The results came to my phone and email in the form of an interactive report that guided me through green-yellow-red points on each inspection item. It was so helpful to be able to read through the technicians notes before hopping on a call to give the go-ahead on what was deemed to be necessary work. When I drove off the lot my A/C was working better than it ever has, and I had 4 new brake pads / 2 new tires at a fair price. Best of all, I feel knowledgeable regarding when my next service will be needed and what items will be brought up.

RMS has a friendly staff and respond quickly. The reason for the two star is because their prices are truly outrageous. I was traveling from SA to Houston and my car died when arriving to Houston. RMS was the closest shop to get my car towed to. I don’t know If the fact that my car was towed there played a roll in the price they gave me thinking I wouldn’t of had any other option than to get it fixed there? Anyways, my car all it needed was al alternator and a band. They quoted me me OVER $800 for labor and parts (this is insane by the way). I did my research, swapped batteries drove my car to another shop and was charged $350 total parts and labor. I wouldn’t recommend this business because I felt that I was taken advantaged of. I payed them $40 for the diagnostic and left immediately!I did express my concern to the guy at the front desk a bout the pricing $830 for alternator? And his answer was “we use the best quality parts” we don’t use auto zone or other”..Please look around, you will find the same service for SO much cheaper. This is a rip off.

And THEN there’s the leadership, specifically Harrison and Sady – it doesn’t take long after meeting these two to realize why they hired Whitney AND why they are all such a dynamic team! Ultimately, it all comes from the top and these guys are an iconic example of such – even their pricing is amazing!On my most recent visit… I had a tricky issue with my new-to-me car, in that it was electrical-in-nature and obscure, but boy did they figure it out. Corey, my technician, wouldn’t give up even when it took more fenagling than usual and Whitney kept all the moving parts coordinated for a quick, reasonable resolution – She organized the part acquisition, warranty coverage, communication needs, and repair, keeping me informed at all times. And the team even proactively helped me with transportation when an unexpected delay (by another leg of the repair) occurred. Obviously, I could go on, but I’m certain you get the point by now – you simply cannot go wrong by taking your car to RMS for diagnosis or repair – in fact, I just had another concern regarding my USB port seeming to be failing and they got busy, discovered the “problem,” and had my car back to me in less than a day – and all at no charge. I had an accident and I took my vehicle to RMS for repairs. I am very happy with the finished result! Ford dedicated the time and attention to my vehicle to ensure everything was done accurately and provided great customer service in continuously updating me on the status of my vehicle. I was impressed with how everything turned out from the paint job (which was matched perfectly to the original color) to the reconstruction of the front end of the vehicle. RMS Auto Care is by far the best car repair shop in Houston. Sady is amazing! She was extremely sweet and helpful and made sure to get my car in and out as soon as possible. I had issues with my brakes and they fixed them within only a few hours. They also gave me a $25 gift card to a restaurant. Theyre trying to help out local restaurants that have been hurt financially through covid. Excellent customer service and finished in a timely manner. Would definitely go back and recommend you going here for any of your car needs. :)
