Well lets just say Im jealous because this Whole Foods makes every Whole Foods on the mainland look like trash lol. Everything here was beautifully organized and the store was insanely clean in comparison to what Im used to in NY. Also the prices of some things were a lot cheaper but Im guessing because its grown locally. They have parking which is great and they have so much more to choose from than my location back home. I made sure to buy a Whole Foods Honolulu bag as a souvenir.
Clean store; product on shelves seem to be kept organized and presentable. Most of their stock is certified organic, so that is a big plus. Unfortunately, that is all the positive feedback I have. They didnt have any products I was looking for, so that was a big bummer. Their own brand products are a very good price, but national brand products are not. Even at a sale price (including prime), they were still more expensive than other grocery stores. As for the workers, I was surprised that they didnt interact with customers. Our cashier was a bit friendly, but nothing noteworthy.Overall, I left disappointed.
Beautiful store, fresh produce, meat and seafood. Employees are hit or missβ¦some are super cheerful and helpful, while some are not so much.Biggest problems here are long checkout lines and sale items selling out. Itβs clear that they stock very few high demand items when on sale. They advertise popular items to get people in the store, and what do ya knowβ¦.theyβre sold out. All in hopes that youβll buy overpriced items which arenβt on sale. - 2.5 stars max
Fresh and healthy food! Whole Foods is the place to go if you want clean ingredients and delicious food. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They also work in partnership with Amazon and deliver.
The store is very well stocked and the staff is pretty friendly, but the lines are SOOOO long. It doesnβt make any sense. On any given day there are 5-10 βpersonal shoppersβ running through the aisles for pick-up orders, but only 2 lanes open. Iβve never waited on such long lines at any Whole Foods before. This is a consistent problem and makes shopping here such a chore. I wish management would correct this super simple problem to make the experience less painful for those of us who shop in the store.
Stood in line to check out for a good 20 minutes and carrying my items in hand because I couldnt find a basket anywhere once I walked in the front door. Prices are still a bit way too pricey for me. Id love to be able to shop Whole Foods because I like a lot of the freshness levels and the organics altogether, but its just way too ridiculously priced. Especially when I can just go right down the road and buy locally for much cheaper. Organic and locally organic.
Lots of parking. I thought a bit pricier compared to other grocery markets but on the plus side they do returns for Amazon! How convenient!
Best curbside experience Iβve had from a grocery store. I text 10 minutes before arriving and my shopper is usually already waiting for me. A flawless transaction and Iβm on my way. The app also tracks my past purchases so itβs so easy to place online orders and skip the lines of shopping in store. In the past, I had gotten used to waiting for 20-30 minutes after arriving for my shopper to bring the groceries to my car. The only downside to online orders is you canβt order alcohol.
Excellent place to shop for fresh fruits, vegetables, sea food, dairy, grocery, toiletries, nutritional supplements, cosmetics, frozen deserts, juices, wines and many other things in a well displayed store.
So I just found out they have the two for twenty with two toppings on Fridays. If you are a prime member. Witch is a great found you will not found a deal like that any were else in Hawaii.... And even if you are not a member they supply you with free bags of ices. Which really helps out with food and drinks when you are going to the Beach.. magic beach is only a mile away from here so wholefood is a nice stop before you go.. good luck and I hope this helps you out.
This is my favorite grocery store of all time, and Im 41 years old. Im so thankful for this Whole Foods. Its spacious with some of the best foods I never knew existed.
Every orderly. Easy to find items. And oh, the produce is so fresh. The red grapes I purchased were very sweet. The employees were very helpful especially my cashier. I forgot her name. Thank you!
The prices are higher than other stores, selection is good. One if the few stores where the fish is fresh. The cheese selection is excellent, most produce is nice quality. The checkout lines are RIDICULOUS. I have never seen a store that lets the lines get that long. Just the lines is enough for me to go elsewhere. I dont have time to stand in line for 10 or 15 minutes! They really need to do something. I heard several people complaining or being shocked at the lines, so its not just me. I checked out at 3:45, so not like it was the after work grocery rush. I would show a picture of the lines, but Privacy of the other customers prevents me from doing that. Just trust me that it was nuts.
This whole foods is on steroids, nicest one I been too 4 of them. Big self service food bar and a lot of hot service food. Teaching class, place to eat. Alcohol bar. I got here with my bicycle but Im pretty sure parking is bad, it has a couple levels of parking.Update: came to try their burrito. Hefty big for a good price. Tasty too.
The whole foods in Honolulu is amazing. There is a sit down sushi restaurant on the first floor and another Japanese restaurant and bar on the second floor. There is a separate escalator for shopping carts so customers can easily transport their groceries to their car in the attached garage. The self serve poke bar and noodle options are worth a visit. There is an extensive alcohol selection with interesting local Hawaiian offerings.
This store is amazing, the meat department is ridiculous!! I wanted 50/50 beef bacon burgers and they didnt have any, no problem they made them fresh for me right there. The fish counter is equally ridiculous.Whole foods is still expensive, but theyve gotten better. Their quality is very high though so you do get what you pay for. Having a prime membership helps a little but its nothing like having a target red card and getting 5%off everything. Free parking in the garage is good, definitely limited but have never had a problem. If you pick and choose just what you need and dont do a full shop there you can survive and not go broke.PRO TIP : download the target app and use the scan tool. Most common items that they sell will come up with the price it sells for at Target and youll know how much the difference is, sometimes its 3 to 4 dollars per item.
I work in the urgent care in the same building as Wholefoods. Shop here all the time and usually enjoy the food and have good experience. Today after a particularly brutal shift, 10+ hours of nonstop work seeing patients including COVID patients during the current delta variant surge, all I wanted to do was go home and rest. I drive a Tesla and didnβt notice my phoneβs battery getting low. It died as I walked to my car. For Teslas your phone is the key to get into the car. I went into the store asking to charge my phone for 3-5 minutes just to get it going long enough for me to get into my car.Workers acted like Iβm some homeless person asking for money or some type of a hand out. Basically refused to help out an exhausted frontline medical professional. They should be ashamed of themselves. Where is the aloha???Good thing we in the medical field we donβt treat our patients the way you guys treat your loyal customers.
Huge! Whole foods market, this one dwarfs all the other ones on the island. This store has all the regular items and departments. The hot bar food is alright, the taste of the food is sweet, not savory. The food could use a little more salt. The prices, of course, are expensive. The bar is large and theres plenty of room to sit and eat. Also, like the other whole foods this one (even though its huge) is also crowded with people. Ward is a different area now, very touristy.
Love this location. Parking is ready; grocery pick-up is very efficient; love the cooked food.
Today a guy named Christian behind the customer service counter was willing to put some tape on a box for me. Whole Foods didnβt make money directly off that act of kindness, but given the proportional difference between how much Whole Foods pays Christian for his time, the cost of the four strips of tape, and the amount of money I regularly spend at Whole Foods, the company is better off today because of what Christian did. Christian could also be in trouble for doing something out of his job description. If you are scolding him right now, stop that. Kindness is the way of the future. Christian, just screenshot this and turn it in for your annual review. I hope you get promoted. Mahalo, Matt
Went to return Amazon product. Beautiful store with freshfruits, veggie, meat, and fish.
Store was nicer than I expected. Prices are high ofcourse but they have a great selection of produce, meats and seafood. Avoid typical busy times as checkout lines will be loooong. Dont recommend doing full shopping here but to get specialty meats, seafood and produce its a good choice.
Overall, a great place to shop. Everyone is professional and accommodating. Meat and fish departments are excellent. Deli is also great. Hot food selections are a winner, except that when it come to a tasty rotisserie chicken Costco is hard to beat. The produce placement has been deceptive on many occasions. Non-sale items placed next to advertised sale items. It becomes difficult to determine what is on sale. Sometimes I catch the error and avoid a hassle. Today was not one of them. They had non-sale bell peppers along side sale items. Buyer be ware and inspect the labels carefully. Overall the shop is clean and well organized. Be careful when buying bagged fruits. A few weeks ago, I bought a bag of mandarins with a few very bruised fruits that I had to toss out. This weeks bag looked fine.
Do you know that this place takes Amazon returns?! Add pretty awesome pizza and place is GOOD!
Always clean and great selections, especially for plant-based diet!
They need to have more cashiers! Lines and wait times are always very long at around 6pm-9pm. Even 1 more then the usual 3 cashiers would help.
The Kakaako store is great; it has a good selection of foodstuff and plenty of parking and the location (close to downtown) makes it very convenient.
Always lots of variety and the shelves are constantly being restocked. Employees are eager to help and knowledgeable. The lines to checkout look long but they move very quickly. Make sure youre a Prime member to get the extra savings
They have a great selection of items. But they do jack prices up a bit. Store is generally clean, considering its always very busy. Their precooked foods are delicious. Plan on long checkout lines.
Nice looking store! Itβs has two floors and a good selection of groceries and fresh take out food. There are also to Γ la carte restaurants. I was just a bit disappointed in finding some local fresh produce. Parking also seemed a bit limited for a store in a very busy area. #honolulu #wholefoods #groceries
Great service and food selection! Store is brand new and very clean. Bathrooms are upstairs is clean too but not a lot of stalls. Only one bathroom in the restaurant downstairs though. The food bar had a ton of great food: Indian, Peruvian, Mexican, etc. great wine selection as well and easy to find items. They have a restaurant/bar and a smoothie store on the ground floor. Upstairs they have small booths where they sell merchandise and food. Another bar upstairs and live music at night.
This location specifically is the best grocery store shopping experience. Spacious, plenty parking and it notifies you how much parking on each level, plenty natural light and artificial light near products for easy reading, always plenty of cashiers working for quick check outs. Good produce and good options for healthy food. They make everything convenient.
Lovely staff and clean ! Really big store love it .
Long long line to pay. Disappointed. Manager should do better. Please open more register. Tues at 7 pm
The best grocery store ever!
Love me some Whole Foods, even tho they fire almost everyone.
I know itβs a pandemic and theyβre busy, but this store has trouble keeping even basic items in stock. Iβve been ordering delivery through Prime but they have very limited time slots and you have to plan ahead and be flexible, and be ready for stuff you ordered just not be included because the store ran out of your item(s). You can opt for substitutions but that can significantly impact your price or give you a weird item thatβs similar but one you really wouldnβt want otherwise. Also they wonβt deliver alcohol. So if delivery is problematic why not shop in person, right? Well the store is crowded and because of covid they reduced their hours. Youβd think they would keep the original hours or extend them to reduce crowding but no.... also they donβt take as good care of their workers under Amazon ownership even though they have more money than God. Long lines to pay even at non-peak times.Overall itβs fine and they have great produce / meat / high quality organic stuff but you do pay a premium for a not so premium shopping experience. And if you want βstandardβ grocery store items they donβt carry them. So I feel like I always have to go to multiple stores to complete my list.
Once again a stunning place to grocery shop and to discover something new to eat!
Upscale, brightly light, and very helpful staff... With the added bonus of Amazon Prime... Whole Foods Market is a win win =)
Love this store; brand new. Way better before the pandemic when you could chill and sit down upstairs in the dining/wine bar
Garbage right now, not enough staff, weird ordering procedures, no table service, single use plastic condiments only, it really was a very horrible experience. Beer selection not that great either.
Always the best shopping experience!! Better to be a Amazon prime member, but not needed if you dont have one. Whole foods also has delivery availability in Honolulu with the use of the Amazon app. Love the local beef quality and prices.
Convenient location with lots of great produce
Used my Amazon prime and got 2 dozen roses for 20 bucks! Found creme brulee and choc covered Strawberries! Yes no holding back for me and Rascal celebrating our love since 2008! He is 13.5 yo! πβπ¦Ί
WONDERFUL & GOOD quality food and staff. The service and staff are good enough. The deli is good as well, highly recommend!!!
Quick trip to pick up flowers. Could probably buy a ton of stuff if I werent in a rush!
Always crowded and employees are hit or miss when it comes to manners, but a great selection of items!
A huge Wholefoods Market only 10 minutes from Waikiki and with loads of parking. We had lunch at the Two Tides Bar.Lots of excellent choices. Burgers, Sushi, Yakatori, Salads and Brunch options. The food was tasty and was at our table within 5 minutes of ordering. The market has a very large and extensive range of fruits and vegetables and meats along with the option of pre prepared food. The staff are helpful and friendly.Very Highly recommended.
Wide variety of fresh organics.
Nice store with several, good dining options. Generally quite busy, but check out lines not too long.
Beyond excellent for a grocery store. It boggles my mind how they manage their great inventory and keep everything clean, organized and fresh.
It was my first time there it was fun walking around and their two pizza with 2 topping pizza was outstanding.
This location is always insanely busy. I just waited in line for 25 min and by the time I reached the register, the line had doubled in length to reach the back of the store. Not worth it, Iβll go to Safeway instead
Great place for healthy food n quality produce. My family likes to shop there some things we dont find in a supermarket.
No βALOHAβ in this Whole Foods Market! My experience here is actually below my expectations. Staff? Not much positive vibes. Food court offerings are pretty average. And the quality of their cookies have deteriorated. They used to have the best oat and raisin cookies. Now they are pretty ordinary. And see the picture of an apple I bought yesterday. Itβs not been dropped, on my side. So much for WHOLE foods.Just an observation, maybe itβs the same in all Whole Foods, I didnβt feel as much βalohaβ here. Tells me that it is not local.I used to love Whole Foods. Itβs always in my itinerary when I visit Hawaii and California. But the love has now faded. Sad.
Good curbside pickup experience.
This is definitely a must visit grocery store if you are on Oahu. The selection of fresh seafood and meat rivals the Whole Foods flagship store in Bellevue, WA which is the area we are from and is what we are used to. If you like fresh and high quality groceries with a large selection in every department - this is the store for you. So glad they have Whole foods on the island since there is no Trader Joes π
One of the coolest places in Honolulu to go grocery shopping in. Pandemic protocols are well defined. Good safe place to go grocery shopping.
Lovely Whole Foods, but cashierβs lines at 7.00 pm weekday are totally terrible...
Chaotically busy. Lots of visitors and local shopping. I dont recommend going on Friday afternoons after work.Questionable mask wearing from some of the customers.
Wowwwww!!!! This place is huuuuge!!! It has everything FOOD...fresh, organic, butcher, seafood, prepared hot, cold, soups, salad, poke, pizza, taqueria, charcuterie, deli, sweets/desserts, even a place for a shuffle board, restaurants, alcohol bars, popup shops, three or four floors to park, escalators and elevators and stairs up and down. They even have live music on certain days, ...just check out the calendar for dates and times of aaaaaalllll activities and events. It was so packed with people today. Definitely going back for a more in depth review. For now, its a great hub for socializing even... A must visit!!!
Parking gets busy and crowded on lower levels, market great selection of food and beverages
Overpriced for everything but has so many yummy and healthy options
Bigger than the Kahala branch. Parking drive is easier on the Queen Street entrance ramp. Looking for parking is easy with the green and red overhead parking availability light.
Wide choice of gmo veggies like white onions, cauliflower. Some sale items like pears are good. Good place to buy vegetables and fruits for a healthy lifestyle.
Great quality food. The SLOWEST checkoutβ prepared yourself mentally. Iβve been coming here for a few yeas now. You spend as much time shipping than int he checkout line.
Just bought honey mustered dressing but the cap was open and it was dripping out.Food was tasty tho.
Ignored me for 10 minutes, while I was just trying to order a slice of pizza. There was at least 4 of them too.
I like the Pizza here. Clean n neat display. Quality products.
Bree in the bath, beauty and supplement section was THE most helpful and kind person I have met. She helped me get my baby formula that I have been looking for everywhere. Bree is a gem, thank you Whole Foods!
The food court is enticing with a lot of selections. It is VERY pricy, the nickname whole paycheck is relevant. This was my first visit here on a weekend day. Take my advice - - if you are able to go on a weekday it is so much more of a pleasant experience. Quite a bit of patrons are rude and finding parking is a challenge. It is true that they have great produce and meats. However, you pay a pretty penny to shop here.Their sale prices are typically very good, but if you shop here exclusively it will hit you in your pocketbook.
As usual, empty shelves. Dairy, beans, broth, etc. Such a large store with minimal product. Its better than the kahala or kailua whole foods but in the end, same story...have to go to Safeway or foodland to get everything I need. Poor planning by whoever to have enough products in the store
Love whole foodsl market.
Nice selection of almost everything that you could possibly need.
I purchased $90 in makeup and a $9 recycled lunch bag. was reprimanded for not putting items in a shopping cart that thousands of others have touched. Thats why I purchased the $9 bag: not because I need a $9 recycled lunch bag, but so I didnt have to touch the filthy cart .. please allow customers to use those recycled bags as carts during these covid times. That would mean less carts to sanitize for you
I did electrical installation here so. Im jaded. Also my daughter is a barista here. Busy store with all your favs and lots of local fare.
Takeout food is expensive and the express line isnβt really express because itβs short staffed. For a quick lunch youβre better off supporting the local restaurants in the area.
Beautiful clean Whole Foods store with hella parking (just drive to the top, instead of continuously circling the first 2 floors like some lazy idiots). Can we also stop the corny βWhole Paycheckβ jokes, because Whole Foods fresh produce is literally CHEAPER than Foodland, Safeway, Times, etc... Donβt @ me.
Love the Queens street location. But wish they would get back to all registers working.
Ridiculous wait times to check out! I dread coming here because I know Im going to be standing in line for half an hour. But they have a lot of the products that I want to buy. Not sure with these high prices why they cant improve the system. I understand that covid-19 is a factor but Safeway and Walmart and other stores are not as long await.
